Marinette sat the curb, waiting for the bus. Her stomach was tied in small knots, for today she had a presentation in her sewing class, and she didn't want to stumble over her words.
It was always easier to do things with a mask on, for even if you made a mistake, no one knew it was you under the mask.
Marinette looked up, smelling the familiar scent of coquettes, and gasped in surprise when she saw Adrien Agreste heading towards her. "Oh, hey, Marinette!" Adrien waved, giving her a cute lopsided smile. Oh, he was so cute!
"What are you doing out here?" Adrien sat down next to her. "Waiting for the bus," Marinette clenched her palms together and took a deep breath. "I have a presentation today, and I'm so nervous."
"Your going to do great. So what if you stammer a little? Your passionate about fashion and your love for it clearly shines through. I'm wishing you good luck." "Thanks, Adrien."
Adrien opened the bag of coquettes. "Maybe I can distract you," he blushed. "Here comes the yummy!" Marinette laughed as Adrien zoomed the delicious treat towards her mouth, popping it in. He shivered a little as Marinette's teeth grazed his thumb, but it was a good shiver. "Napkin? Chocolate milk?" "Yes, please," Marinette mumbled, mouth full of treat.
They clinked bottles and came away giggling with chocolate mustaches. Adrien soon cleared up their garbage. "Its fun hanging out on the bench. Hey, you cold?" Marinette stared at her phone. "Hm? Yeah."
"Here." Adrien scooted closer, and put his arm around her drawing her close. Cautiously, Marinette laid her head on his shoulder, breathing in the scent of laundry fabric. "Want to know a secret?" Marinette giggled, and Adrien nodded.
"The presentation isn't till next week." "Well, I'm pretty cozy here. And if you want, I'd love to hang out." Marinette nodded, closing her eyes.
Yes, it was nice sitting on a park bench on a autumn morning with her crush, a wonderful morning indeed.
