Chapter 1: Welcome to the Jungle
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Just a little something out of the ordinary here, this is the story of Mickey Mouse enjoying his new life in the jungles of Africa.
Mickey Mouse was so excited as he sits on a plane, he's on his way to Africa. He couldn't wait to explore the jungles of Africa, to see what kind of animals he can find.
"Oh golly! I can't wait to explore the African jungle and see all those wild animals.", Mickey said.
The plane landing in a small landing field in Africa. Mickey and a few other passengers and sight-seeing people step off the plane. A scientist named Professor Porter drove the sight-seeing people and Mickey Mouse to a camp located at the edge of the jungle.
Mickey loved it here already, because it was so wild. "Wow! It's so wild here!", said, Mickey, his eyes wide as he marveled at the vibrant tapestry of greens and the chorus of exotic bird calls that filled the air. The jungle was alive, an orchestra of rustling leaves and distant roars, inviting him to explore its mysteries.
As the safari group led by Professor Porter explores the jungle, the other explores went down one path, but, Mickey, filled with curiosity wandered down the other, venturing deeper into the jungle, the path disappeared, swallowed by the dense foliage.
"Wait a minute. Where's the rest of the tour group?", mickey wondered as he looked around. Hunger gnawed at his belly, and he realized he had wandered off course. "Oh no! I'm lost!", The air was thick with the scent of earth and flowers, but no sign of food, his stomach growled again. "I need to find something to eat," he said to himself, scanning the jungle floor while rubbing his hungry tummy.
Professor Porter didn't know Mickey got lost in the jungle, he was too busy leading the safari group. That is until while checking the lists, he noticed that Mickey wasn't with the group, but, he shakes it off saying that it'll take time for Mickey to get used to living a life in the jungle.
Meanwhile, two playful monkeys named Rico and Chico swung down from the trees, their eyes twinkling with mischief as they spotted Mickey trying to contemplate his next move. They head on over to say hello to Mickey Mouse.
Mickey looks up and sees the two little monkeys. "I'm Mickey Mouse! Who are you?", Mickey asked.
"Me Rico!", Rico said, "He Chico!"
"What brings you out here in this neck of the woods.", Chico asked.
"I'm here in Africa, visiting the jungle on a wild safari.", Mickey explained, "But, then, I got separated from the tour group and got lost.", his tummy gave a loud rumble, "And I'm really hungry."
The monkeys looked at each other and then, they beckoned Mickey to come follow them to a nearby grove where banana trees stood tall and bountiful.
Mickey rubs his belly, "Mmm. Bananas! I love bananas! Thanks, Rico and Chico! I'm so glad you guys can help me.", Mickey turns around to see that Rico and Chico had left. Undeterred, Mickey sat on a large rock to enjoy his bananas, only to find it shift beneath him. "Whoa! What's the big idea?!", Mickey called, holding on for dear life.
The rock turned out to be an elephant. She sniffed Mickey with her trunk.
"Oh. Haha! Hi, elephant! Sorry to bother you.", Mickey said.
"Please, call me Sophia! So, what are you doing here?", Sophia asked.
"Well. I really need to cool off.", Mickey said.
"Well. You found the right elephant. Hold on tight!", Sophia said.
"Whoa!", Mickey hangs on as Sophia charges forward with him on her back, "Where are we going?"
Sophia heads to the watering hole and she wades in the water with Mickey still on her back.
"Here we are! The watering hole!", Sophai said, before spraying Mickey with water
Mickey laughs, "Okay. Thanks for the ride!", he jumps off Sophia and into the water.
After Mickey swims to shore and dry off, a peculiar sight caught his eye—a horn and two ears were sticking out of the. Curiosity got the better of Mickey. But, then, a rhino suddenly rose from the surface.
"Whoa!", Mickey exclaimed, his heart beating inside his chest. The rhino eyes at Mickey curiously and then, he snorted and lowered his head with horn pointing right at Mickey.
"Oh no!", Mickey took off running away into the jungle.
Meanwhile, Professor Porter along with the tour group arrived at camp.
"Now, before you get settled in your tents, are there any questions?", Professor Porter asked the tour group.
A female woman raised her hand, "Yeah! Are rhinos dangerous animals?"
"Oh no! Rhinos are not usually dangerous, but, because, you don't see very well, they sometimes charge at things by mistake, but, a loud noise ususally calms them down.", Professor Porter explains.
A man in a Hawaiian shirt walks over to Professor Porter, "Uh. What about that mouse who got separated from us during the tour?"
"You mean, Mickey Mouse?", Professor Porter said, "Not to worry, everyone. I'm very certain Mickey will be fine. I mean, how hard can it be to survive in the African jungle?"
Meanwhile, Mickey ran into a clearing all out of breath. But, when he stops to take a break, he looked around and gasped. Mickey realized that he ran into a troop of gorillas. But, before Mickey can plan his next move, he saw the silverback leader wake up.
"Uh oh!", Mickey said.
The silverback gorilla stopd up on his hind legs and shuffles over to Mickey.
"Easy, big guy! Nice, big guy!", Mickey said.
Mickey stood back as the silverback corners him.
"The thing is, I got lost in the jungle while on safari with Professor Porter.", Mickey said.
The silverback calmed down and then, he walks away from Mickey.
"Ya know, I could really get used to life in the jungle. Maybe I really do belong in the jungle.", Mickey said, feeling a sense of belonging in the wild.
Inspired by the jungle's untamed beauty, Mickey quickly embraces his new life in the jungle. He puts on a red leopard print loincloth. Mickey stood tall, beating his chest like a gorilla, and let out a triumphant Tarzan yell, "Aaaah-aaaah-aaaaah!". The jungle echoed with his call, a symphony of life celebrating his adventurous spirit.
