Disclaimer: Okay; I know it might seem a little confusing that Sid and Arrby were both being held by Slash and Victoria in their own ways in the last preview. I did think of a plan they had for that, and I'll add in the explanation when the time is right. I'll admit that I was a little worried about how the previous chapter would turn out in general. I think we all know I add a lot of stuff into these three episode mini arcs. But anyway, let's see how it ends off with the climax of the latest attack on Adventure City!

Powered Up Pooches arc Episode twelve: When Things Get Personal

Continuing from where the previous chapter left off, Wave had just sent Slash down to the third highest floor in the building, and Slash had just grabbed her stomp. Slash was quite impressed with how well Wave was handling the fight now. It wasn't an easy fight for someone to send anyone through two floors like that. It was clear that she had a lot of power in her strikes. However, raw power alone wasn't enough to keep it up against Slash. And Slash was taking the fight seriously now. "Well done Wave! You're actually making me try right now."

Slash threw Wave's stomp off of him with just enough power and got up as he sent her back with a backflip kick. Wave regained her balance and skidded on the ground before glaring at Slash. "If you didn't have an auto-healing power, I'd be flattered by that."

Wave charged at Slash again, aiming a power punch at his gut before he dodged it and aimed a kick at her. She used her front paws to break her fall before getting back up to face Slash again. Zuma and Everest wanted to help, but they had to focus on Liberty's wound. Liberty felt bad that they had to change course for her. "I'm sorry guys. I should've been more careful with that plan."

"In hindsight, we all should've expected Slash to have a knife or something on him." Everest admitted, knowing this wasn't solely on Liberty.

"We'll get you patched up as soon as we can Libewty. Then you can join Wave and Chawm in the knife scaw club." Zuma joked in an attempt to lighten up the mood. He continued to apply just the right amount of pressure to Liberty's wound with Everest's help. They were just lucky that Victoria wasn't trying to stop them.

Wave aimed several punches and kicks at Slash, who dodged some of them, and deflected the rest. Wave also made sure to block any strikes he aimed at her. One kick he made towards the window was ducked as well.

Wave grabbed Slash's paw and threw him at the window, causing him to crash through. She knew that wouldn't kill him however, since his demon blood prevented him from dying to any blows that didn't destroy the head or heart. And that was assuming he still had the latter. So she jumped out of the window and jumped onto him, grabbing his chest and punching him to at least try and stun him. This would hopefully give her enough time to avoid his counter attacks.

Once Snow arrived at the building, she was beyond shocked when she saw Wave and Slash falling. She cried out in horror for Wave, who was barely able to keep Slash at bay. "WAVE!" Wave heard Snow's voice and jumped off of Slash to grab onto a lamppost once they reached the second floor. After that, she jumped off of it and kicked at Slash, who dodged it before she blocked his ground pound. Wave continued to fight Slash, and Snow wasn't hesitating one bit when it came to stepping in, taking out her dagger to do so. "Hold on Wave! I'm coming in!"

Wave and Snow then started fighting together with Slash going all out to dodge their punches, kicks, and dagger slashes. Wave took the time to thank Snow after almost hitting Slash with a low sweep, which he managed to backflip over. "Thanks for the assist Snowflake! Your timing couldn't be better!"

"You'll see me melt before I let Slash kill you!" Snow added as a comment towards her nickname. After her dagger was grabbed by Slash, she aimed a spin kick at him, which he grabbed with Snow then putting her other hind paw on his face. After she did, Slash attempted to strike Snow with her own dagger, which Wave stopped by grabbing it with her enhanced paw. She then knocked Slash back when he was forced to block her kick, which also caused him to let go of Snow.

Wave and Snow went into their battle stances just before Slash gave a devilish chuckle before bringing up who he was fighting. "My apologies, I wasn't informed we were going to have a couples event today. Victoria's busy, so I'll have to fight you by myself." Slash went into his own battle stance, being as ready as Wave and Snow were, and being ready to go all out against them. "That said, don't be afraid to give it your best shot. I'm not afraid of a disadvantage in numbers." Wave and Snow nodded to each other before they charged at Slash.

Chase and Marshall finally arrived back with Margareth and the others to find Richie inside the HQ looking after everyone else who wasn't in the Paw Patrol. They were glad to see him, heading over to him with Margareth, who hugged Marshall again as Chase greeted him. "Great to see you again Richie! Sorry we couldn't give you a less... destructive Christmas in Adventure City."

"Hey. Anything's better than guarding a base by myself waiting for something to happen in between patrols." Richie replied, revealing that he was looking after the base in Adventure Bay on his own. "I thought I'd stay in here in case Slash broke into the base. As strong as the defense systems are, we have to be ready for if they, by some tragedy, get destroyed."

"Good call." Chase said, looking to Marshall and giving his signature paw shake to see if he was ready to get back out there. "You ready to get back into the action?"

"You bet I am! Let's go save the city!" Marshall answered, hi pawing Richie before leaving with Chase.

Melody saw that Coral was looking scared, so she decided to help her feel better by complimenting her nails. "Your nailers are really pretty Coral."

Coral saw what Melody was trying to do, smiling as she continued the conversation. "Thank you Melody. I'm glad Sweetie has such an eye for nail art." Melody got a good look at Coral's nails, genuinely finding them as pretty as she said.

Moby was watching over Charm with his headset on, giving him instructions on what was happening. The technology he had on it allowed him to get a view of the entire city. "Charm! I think I see an open portal letting a helicopter flying itself into the city! And also... demons riding a hoverboard? Wow. Your dad sure has a lot of time on his paws."

"I'll say. Also, remind me to ask Rocky to make a cannon so he can launch me at any hoverboard demons in the future." Charm requested, making Moby chuckle with Richie rolling his eyes while smiling. At least Charm was on their side now.

Victoria had just gotten to the very top of Humdinger's building, looking off into the distance for the helicopter and four demons riding hoverboards. Once she saw them coming, she was more than happy with the results of how fast they got here. "I knew stealing one of Slash's portal things was a good call." Victoria then walked over to the edge of the roof, where she had a tied up Sid just waiting to be freed. "Guess you're out of luck Boat-Boy. As soon as that helicopter comes here, you're gonna be coming with us to your new home."

"You mean you're taking me back to your base?" Sid asked, questioning the logic of that decision almost immediately. "What do you have to gain by trapping me there!?"

"Duh! It'll cause friction on the team if one of their friends is captured." Victoria explained, elaborating on that to help Sid better understand. "Well, okay. Maybe friction isn't the wrong word, but it'll add to the sour feeling the Paw Patrol will have over the fact that they lost." Victoria revealed a little something to Sid that showed individual power charts of the Paw Patrol's powers. "Slash, Humdinger, and I have been keeping track of all the pups' powers since we got here with this little puppy. We just need the cocky lawman and the flaming dork, and we're good to go."

Sid tried to think of something that'd make Victoria think she lost. However, being that he was also panicking, he wasn't very good at coming up with anything, other than what he ended up saying. "What about Snow and Claw!? You haven't fought them yet!"

"Where do you think Humdinger's been this whole time? They don't even know he has one on him; Slash gave them a silencer so they wouldn't beep when activated!" Victoria added, laughing a bit before rolling Sid back. This didn't surprise Sid, since Victoria already made it clear she wasn't going to kill him. "Anyway, you can sit there looking stupid for now." Victoria threw up an instant setup for a livestream, hacking just about every monitor in the city so it would be a citywide event. "I'm gonna show this street rat stanning city how mad I really am."

Elsewhere in the city, a demon stabbed a human through the chest, killing him instantly. Charm managed to kill it by stabbing it in the head, but then looked at the body. He ran as fast as he could to save him, but he was just a split second too late. While his crazy, battle loving side was still a part of him, he learned so much about empathy and remorse, that it was hard not to feel saddened about failing to save this life. Just then, Victoria came onto the monitor, which caught his attention. "Well, well, well, If it isn't the fellow psycho with the bad haircut."

Victoria laughed at Charm's insult ironically, confirming that she could hear everyone in the city right now, and the announcement stopped everyone in their tracks. "Say all you like Charm." Victoria held Sid up, shocking everyone as she made a demand. "I already have the Paw Patrol's HUMAN pirate friend, but I think I can go a little farther." Victoria glared at Sid, who shivered as she made her demand. "Someone get this kid's dog online within one minute, or I'm killing him myself!"

Sweetie and Arrby could hear the announcement as well, since it was being broadcast over the city. The mention of Sid dying horrified both of them, especially Arrby. So he instantly got online and entered the livestream, demanding to know what Victoria wanted. "What do you want mean science lady with the bad haircut!?"

Victoria ignored the haircut comment and got to telling Arrby exactly what she wanted. "I'll make it quick. Come out of the sewer. Now."

Arrby didn't hesitate in putting the barrier down for himself, leaving through it before Sweetie could go after him. Trapped inside the barrier, Sweetie tried to talk Arrby out of it. "You're really going up there? She might kill him anyway."

"Maybe. But I'd rather make the wrong call and know, than make the right one and not." Arrby revealed, starting his climb up the ladder after he did. "If it turns out she WAS keeping her word about Sid, and me staying down here got him killed... I don't know what I'd do." Arrby continued climbing up the ladder, leaving Sweetie fearing what could happen to him.

Once Arrby emerged from the sewer hole he and Sweetie entered, Victoria praised him for being a 'good dog'. "Thank you! Sid really trained you well." Arrby waited for Victoria to give him his next instructions, which she got ready for after she kicked the camera down. This confused everyone, and Arrby then noticed that the portal opened up behind him! He tried to run, but Victoria came out just in time and pinned him to the ground with her foot. As soon as she started electrocuting him from her phone camera, she gave one more taunt to the city.

"I hope you're as shocked as I would've been!"

Wave and Snow were still fighting Slash when this came on, but they all stopped to see what Victoria would do. Naturally, Wave's first instinct was to save Sid and Arrby. So she stomped on the ground to stun Slash, creating a small hole in the ground that made him slip for a bit. She then punched him across the face hard enough to send him back by two solid blocks! She then started talking to Snow about what they saw in the video. "It looked like Arrby was in front of the comic store. If we hurry, we can get there in time to stop Victoria from going any further."

"That's assuming she hasn't already gotten to mimicking an electric chair." Snow stated, and when Slash got back over to them, she created a shield and grabbed Wave when it sent both of them back. "Something tells me Slash isn't gonna let us get close to them either."

Wave started powering up again, staring Slash down as he rushed at her and Snow. "Good thing we weren't asking for permission!" Wave charged at Slash and dodged his kick, which he then followed up with a kick behind himself that managed to strike her. Once she regained her balance, Snow created a gravity timer and threw it at Slash. Wave noticed just in time and pushed back Slash's punch, leading to him getting struck. "Haha! Thanks Snowflake!"

Snow ran up to Slash and kept him busy, allowing Wave to jump onto Slash and press the button on the gravity device. This made him much heavier, causing him to fall to the ground before Wave and Snow ran off. Slash struggled to get up as Snow gave Wave some more information about her device. "I wasn't sure how long I could make it last for, so I settled for one minute. That should at least give us enough time to find Arrby and Victoria."

"Then we can't waste a second. It's time for max speed!" Wave declared, running off with Snow as fast as she could to reach Arrby and Victoria in time. Knowing Victoria, she was already hurting Arrby immensely with her powers.

Surely enough, the Paw Patrol made their way to the comic store as fast as they could to save Sid and Arrby. Chase and Marshall arrived first, having headed there after getting their passengers to safety. Victoria had already stopped shocking Arrby, having already hurt him enough to satisfy herself for now. He was left there, terrified and struggling to move as Victoria stared Chase and Marshall down. "Guess it was only a matter of time until you started showing up."

Chase and Marshall stood across from Victoria, powering up to face her to the best of their abilities. Chase made one thing clear before they started. "You mess with innocent lives, especially our friends, you won't STOP us from showing up."

"Yeah, sure, that's cute." Victoria said sarcastically, powering up herself with a little warning for Chase and Marshall. "I might as well share this now. I went through some intense combat training after your Mix and Golden Retriever friends beat me during that little infiltration mission. So you're in for a much worse beating than the one they had!"

"And since they won, that means the beating was... weak?" Chase asked with a smirk, making Victoria growl as she powered up more.

Marshall got started with his fire powers, being ready to start the battle at that moment. "And I thought I was fired up. She doesn't even NEED fire to match me." Chase dashed at Victoria instantly and aimed a speed punch at her, only for her to grab it and shock him before kicking him back. Marshall then launched two fire balls at Victoria, making her duck under the first one and jump over the second one. Chase used this to his advantage to aim a speedy jump kick at Victoria. However, as soon as he did, Victoria showed off a new layer to her power.

Victoria clapped her hands together and opened up an electric barrier, getting Chase's hind paw zapped by it before he got sent back. He stumbled for a bit, and Victoria disabled the barrier as she revealed what it was all about. "Yeah, I didn't just train physically. I went all out on my power too. That barrier can deflect pretty much anything you two can throw at me."

Marshall glared at Victoria before charging at her, launching fire at her and letting her dodge it before he spread it out with both of his paws. He made sure not to hit Arrby, who was unconscious at this time. She used her barrier to block one of them before charging at Marshall, who stopped firing to dodge her lightning strikes. Chase noticed a loose steel pipe on the ground and picked it up after running over to it. Victoria dodged it when Chase threw it at her, allowing Marshall to start aiming flaming punches and kicks at the mad scientist.

Victoria was able to dodge and deflect the punches and kicks, but they still did damage due to the fiery effect on Marshall's paws. She got fed up after that and grabbed one of his paws, causing immense pain to come to Marshall. The combination of fire and lightning caused Marshall to get covered in flames and electricity, which sent him back and made him tumble. Victoria was damaged by this too, but she was able to withstand it better due to her attack being pushed towards Marshall.

Chase then dashed at Victoria and landed a flurry of speedy punches on her as she tried to recover. When he aimed one final punch at her face, she grabbed it and shocked Chase. In an attempt to help, Marshall, after getting up onto his knee with some struggle, carefully aimed a fireball at Victoria. When he had a clear opening, he fired, believing his shot was more than destined to hit. It was at this moment Wave and Snow arrived, along with everyone else. They all saw Marshall fire his shot at Victoria. As did Slash when he entered through his portal.

Victoria saw this and smirked, smacking Chase to the side and making him spin to where he faced the fireball. Marshall became horrified when he realized what was about to happen, and Wave and the others were terrified as well. Stunning all of them, Chase was hit directly in the face with the fireball! Luckily, Wave and Snow were behind Chase at that moment, so at least they were there to catch him. Marshall's fire ball left a noticeable burn mark due to the heat Marshall hit him with.

By some miracle, the fireball managed to avoid Chase's eye. But the burn mark on the left side of his face was more than noticeable. Marshall felt horrible for hitting Chase with the fireball, but before he could call out to him, Slash kicked him in the face, prompting the rest of the Paw Patrol to charge at him. Slash nodded to Victoria, who powered herself all the way up. and just before Ryder could punch Slash, Victoria placed her hands on the ground, causing electricity to shoot all over the ground. Everyone except for Skye was stunned by this blast.

Slash gave a sadistic grin before kicking everyone down one by one; except for Wave, Snow, and Chase, who were closer to Victoria. Victoria also made sure to zap Skye down when she dashed at her. Slash took this moment to walk over to Chase, deciding that it would be a good idea to mess with Marshall. He walked over to the Dalmatian pup, who almost cried when he saw the burn scar he gave to Chase. As the helicopter and demons came near, Slash grinned devilishly when kneeling down to Marshall.

Slash's words dug into Marshall's heart more and more as he spoke. "Ya know, this burning sensation has me thinking. Fire is the perfect comparison for a gray area for a person, or a society that's been corrupted. Because it burns, and it can hurt you if you get too close." Marshall shed a tear upon hearing this. Chase just wanted to punch Slash as hard as he could, and his growl showed it. Slash then brought up another side to fire. "But it can also be what lights your way out of the dark tunnel you find yourself stuck in. Whichever one you prefer...

Slash slammed Chase's head into the ground, causing him to pass out before looking at Marshall in glee. "You'd better know how to control it." The helicopter and demons arrived, and most of the pups were still shocked. Charm and Rocky's wore off quickly for obvious reasons, and Liberty's power kept her from being affected. Snow noticed that Wave was starting to move sooner than the rest of them as well, even if it was just by her paw finger. That was when Slash and Victoria went for the helicopter.

Slash stepped into the helicopter, bidding the Paw Patrol farewell as he got ready to make his leave. "Anyway, seeing as you're all stunned, I say now's a good time to have some fun with our new hostages. Wouldn't you agree Victoria?"

"There isn't a second where I wouldn't." Victoria admitted, looking back at the team as she mentioned something about how satisfying this would be for her. "I might as well record this after we get Boat-Boy into the helicopter. I promise I'll laugh at your death the most Liberty!"

Liberty wanted to stretch over to Victoria and smack her, but she yelped due to her knife wound stinging like crazy. "Yep. Bad idea."

Slash and Victoria rose up as Victoria guided Slash on where to go. "I left the human pirate on top of Humdinger's building. Apparently they make sneakers and hiking boots now."

"Oooh, lovely. Humdinger could use some exercise." Slash said, arriving at the top with Victoria and hopping out. The two walked over to Sid, who was terrified about what they were going to do to him.

Wave saw the demons jumping down and getting ready to infect her and the others which filled her with immense fear beyond anything else she'd ever been scared of before. "NO!" Wave's refusal to fail at protecting everyone, as well as her fear of losing her friends, made her start moving even faster than the others. As Charm and Rocky fought off the demons, who were much stronger than the previous ones, Wave continued to fight against the electricity. It might've been her enhanced strength and durability, or her sheer determination, or both.

Whatever it was, it was beyond impressive.

Slash and Victoria were putting Sid into a pod next to Arrby's, and after they did, Victoria watched Wave break out of her paralysis to join the others. She managed to fight off one of the demons soon after that, and Zuma then revealed himself to have escaped as well. He went into the ground with his water powers before rising up and sending a demon back with a water blast. Those two intrigued Victoria the most, as she didn't expect them to be doing so well. "Looks like Limb Enhancement and W Bomb have a lot more going on than I thought."

"It appears they do." Slash then set the helicopter on auto-pilot, setting course for the base to get Sid and Arrby there. "Let's see how many of them come after us. Assuming they can handle those super powered demons quickly enough to even consider it." Slash laughed a bit before looking down at the Paw Patrol with a sadistic grin.

Rocky and Charm killed the last demon with a tag team, leading to the four Canines who were able to fight saving the rest of the team. Charm and Rocky hi pawed as Rocky praised the other three for their efforts. "Great job guys! Those demons were no joke compared to the other ones."

"Most likely one of Slash's prototypes." Charm suggested, knowing that these demons didn't just come out of thin air. "He's gotta keep these demons as a threat somehow."

Wave and the others then noticed Slash and Victoria flying off in their helicopter. Despite it being much more advanced than a normal helicopter, Wave didn't hesitate one bit in picking up one of the hoverboards. This surprised the others, who went over to Wave as soon as she started hovering. Rocky used his powers to stop the hoverboard, not wanting Wave to get into more than he could chew. "Wave, don't! I wanna save Sid and Arrby as badly as you do, but we can't approach it like this! Charm and I have demon blood! We could go up instead!"

"Then get on one of those hoverboards and come with me!" Wave demanded, knowing that it didn't have to be a solo ride. She noticed the boost pad in front of her and pressed it, since Slash and Victoria had already gotten a considerable amount of distance away from them.

This stunned the three of them, and Charm called Wave on Rocky's Pup-Tag. His shouting prompted Rocky to cover his ears as Charm called her out. "Wave! Turn back you idiot! You shouldn't be in front for something like this!"

"WHO ELSE IS STRONG ENOUGH TO PUNCH SLASH INTO THE OCEAN!?" Wave shouted tenaciously, prompting Charm to follow him by grabbing another hoverboard.

Rocky and Zuma, knowing that they were the only four still moving, got the other two hoverboards. Zuma hovered over to Rocky and snuck in one final kiss, just in case. "We got this." Rocky smiled before he, Charm, and Zuma chased after the helicopter behind Wave. They were fearing for their lives and what could happen to their friends up there; especially Wave, who was rushing in head first without hesitation. Liberty was watching, keeping her wound steady while holding faith in them. Snow was next to her, still paralyzed, and watching in fear.

Slash and Victoria noticed Wave charging at the helicopter on the hoverboard. They were amazed that she knew how to ride one so easily. Slash spoke into the helicopter's microphone as he brought this up. "My my Wave! I didn't think you'd developed as fast as my super demon!"

"Actually, Rocky started training us in this field a couple months ago, before we came to Adventure city!" Wave called back, staring down the helicopter with a determined smile. "He's probably glad to know it paid off!"

In that moment, Slash flipped something to reveal a button, one that opened up some missile launchers as he responded. "Too bad you won't live long enough to hear him gush about it." As soon as Slash pressed the button, several missiles fired at Wave, who dodged two of them before a third one came too close for her to dodge. She blocked the missile with her enhancement powers, but the force was so strong that it knocked her off of the hoverboard. She took out her grappling hook and fired it at the hoverboard, latching onto it successfully.

However, the next missile shot right through her wire, causing her to lose her hook's grasp. She grabbed onto the missile after that and jumped onto it, giving an enhanced jump to land back on the hoverboard. After she landed back on it, she continued to the helicopter. Charm, Zuma, and Rocky dealt the missiles in their own ways. Rocky used his powers to send one back at Slash and Victoria, making sure not to hit Wave. Zuma did the same with his water powers, and Charm used his knife to slash through his.

Wave made it to the helicopter after jumping onto another missile that went right for her. She jumped right at Slash and Victoria, the latter of whom was ready to shock her. But she was ready this time, having grabbed the line from the hoverboard just before jumping off of it and sending it towards her. This caused her to dodge before Wave punched her out of the helicopter. Victoria landed on the hoverboard, but she was being sent away from it. That is, until she got onto it properly and turned around. Then, she set a course back for the helicopter.

Wave then faced off against Slash, who sent her back with a kick before taking out a sword and charging at her. She dodged his first slash before grabbing his second one and throwing his sword back at him. She struggled during that, making it clear as she commented on his sword. "Guess I should've known you weren't just bringing your KNIFE!"

Slash regained his balance quickly after that push, slashing at Wave again as she slid underneath him. "I could never choose just one blade. They're all so bloodthirsty!" Wave continued to dodge Slash's sword strikes, landing a punch on him that sent him back after dodging one of them. He grabbed onto the plane hatch and slashed at Wave again, and Wave aimed a low sweep at him, which Slash jumped over before aiming a diving stab at Wave. Wave rolled out of the way, leaving Zuma to launch several water balls at Slash in an attempt to distract him.

Rocky also opened up the window with his powers, jumping on and running over to the capsules so he could free Sid and Arrby. Charm saw Victoria attempting to get back on the helicopter, rushing through with his hoverboard before ramming into her. She climbed back on, showing that she gained enhanced durability as well. "You said we needed more than powers, right!?" Charm attempted to stab Victoria, who grabbed the knife and climbed up before looking into his eye with a crazy smile.

"How does demon blood sound?"

Charm punched Victoria and kicked her off, but she called for the hoverboard she jumped off of and landed on it. Wave and Slash were still fighting in the helicopter with Slash making Wave dodge another sword slash to land a kick on her. This forced her to block and get sent back to the edge of the helicopter. She charged at Slash after jumping off of the helicopter wall, which prompted Victoria's next move. Charm tried to charge at her on the helicopter, but she launched a volt just a little too early. Wave was forced to dodge it, and what happened next was...

SLICE!

...Slash's upward sword slash sliced Wave's right arm clean off! This caused her to fall to her knees and hold her arm, letting out a soul piercing howl that, like when Miranda broke her arm in their battle... reached all of her friends, and made them feel her pain spiritually. It was so serious, that Rocky even looked away from his job on opening up Arrby's pod. The three of them looked in horror as Wave held her bleeding wound and looked down at her arm. She became horrified when she saw this, but her instincts kicked in when Slash moved again.

Wave dodged the slash while holding her arm and successfully kicked Slash in the shin after lunging at him! She then jumped up and headbutted him in the face hard enough to make him lose his grip. She then used as much of her remaining strength as need be to grab his sword with her teeth, lunge at Slash, and stab him right through the chest with it, narrowly missing his heart. If they didn't see it with their own eyes, they wouldn't have believed it. But Wave did all of this... with one front leg chopped off.

Slash then expressed how impressed he was by this, grabbing the sword and kicking Wave back. "You're giving me quite the show today Wave! You're so blinded by your desire to protect others, that even your own blood being spilled all over your body isn't enough to make you pass out!" Wave looked at her bleeding paw and injury as Slash continued. "I'd say your tenacity is the best coming home gift I've gotten thus far." Slash pulled his sword out to continue his mission. "Ruling this world would be boring without the level of challenge Canines like you give me."

Wave stood her ground, refusing to let Slash take her down, even with what little energy she had left. Slash got ready to charge at her again, doing so with his sword as he declared her death. "It's just too bad your gift must come to an end!" Just then, the helicopter started to tumble, making Slash fail to strike Wave down.

It was revealed on the front that Charm and Zuma were flooding the helicopter engine, which Charm ripped open. Wave had fallen to her side as a result of the tumble, but struggled while getting up. "I'm not done yet!" She also said something that caught everyone's attention. "I won't... let anyone... lose anyone else... to you!"

Just then, Rocky got Arrby out and used his powers to stop Slash's sword from hitting Wave, throwing it into the ceiling to do so. Wave was starting to lose consciousness, and Rocky ran over and picked her up, holding onto her and Arrby as he jumped over to the nearest hoverboard. However, Slash punched open Sid's pod as soon as he deactivated the hoverboards, which was right when Victoria jumped on. Victoria waved goodbye to the Paw Patrol members, and Charm, as they fell. And Victoria smiled gleefully to Slash. "Well, at least we got ONE of them."

Slash picked up Wave's arm and threw it out of the helicopter. He then opened up a portal as the helicopter started to go haywire. "And this one calls himself a pirate? Let's see how he likes being the loot." Slash and Victoria went through the portal, allowing the helicopter to descend on its own.

Wave and the others continued to fall with Rocky trying to keep Wave awake as they all thought of a plan. "Stay with me Wave. We're gonna patch you up as soon as we get back. Hopefully, Marshall's heart attack upon seeing your laceration won't kill him." Charm got a hold of Arrby, knowing that Rocky would have his paws full there. But they still had to handle the fall. Zuma decided to make a bold move and used all of his might on the ocean. He strained as hard as he could, hoping he could get the ocean to do as he wished to save everyone there.

Zuma used the ocean to grab himself, and the others, in a wave of water that splashed under them and slowed down their fall. The push still led to them landing in the water, but because of Zuma's actions, they were in much better shape than they otherwise would've been. Rocky continued trying to keep Wave conscious as he praised Zuma for his quick thinking. "That was amazing Zoomy. Wonderful job!" Zuma smiled, but it quickly faded when he looked at Wave, and her injury.

Zuma called for his hovercraft, which started to come over, and he started using his powers to help everyone stay afloat in case they lost enough energy to sink. Charm, who was still holding onto Arrby, brought up what everyone else just saw. "So it wasn't just me, right? Wave got her arm cut off... and she STILL fought back."

"We all saw it Charm." Rocky said, looking at Wave as he spoke about her determination with a hint of somberness in his words of admiration. "No matter what she has to go through... she'll protect us all in any and every way she can." The way Rocky spoke made it clear that Wave's determination was both a blessing, and a curse. As admirable as it was that she wanted to protect everyone she could, she had a tendency to be reckless about it; especially after they all got their powers. She had to learn to look after herself as much as everyone else. After all...

You can't protect someone if you're dead.

Somber music started playing as Marshall started talking about what was going to happen with specific moments from the next chapter being shown. "Oh God. Wave! Just looking at her wound makes me sick to my stomach. Okay. I can't panic. I have to put my training and studying to good use so she survives this. Huh? What can you do Rocky? Well, knowing Wave, she'll be willing to fight through the pain. At least this time, what she'll endure won't be lethal."

Marshall finished the announcement with the words Paw Patrol in all blue with red outlines surrounded with a white border with Wave on the right, and Marshall on the left. "Next time, A Blessing and a Curse!" Arrby was shown uncharacteristically yelling at Liberty, showing his immense stress over Sid being taken hostage by Slash and Victoria, and what led to that in the first place. "I just want to hug her after this. The same way she hugs us all the time!"
