"Another geat day huh, Gary?" Spongebob said, getting into bed.
"Meow." Gary settled on his newspaper and fell asleep immediately.
"Goodnight, Gary." SpongeBob closed his eyes and started snoring.
He opened them to see he was on the side of the road at night.
"Huh?" He looked around at the the scenery of giant Krabby Patties and patty ingredients on both roadsides as landmarks. "I must be dreaming!"
He walked onto the empty road. "If only I was driving right now."
A black hot rod boatmobile with flames panted on the sides appeared in front of him with the engine running.
"Wow!" His mouth was wide open as he smiled.
The expression stayed on his face as he got in the driver's seat and revved down the squiggly road, passing more enormous Krabby Patties, condiment bottles and spatulas on the roadsides.
"If I could drive this good in school I'd have my driver's license."
He gasped in realization and horror.
"I don't have a driver's license!"
With a poof, a license with his picture on it appeared in front of his face and he beamed, grabbing it with both hands without taking his foot off the gas pedal.
" An official license to drive!"
He kept his eyes on the little plastic card as the hot rod drove itself until it collided with an orange striped traffic barricade at the end of the road and the seat sprung up, sending him soaring above the rocky ground.
"How could I forget the first step before driving?" He scolded himself, "It's a two hundred and fifty dollar fine if you don't wear your seat belt, Squarepants!"
Flying above him at the same speed was Mrs. Puff.
"Look Mrs. Puff," he said, holding the license out so she could see it. "I got my driver's license!"
She scowled at him and snatched it.
"But-"
She held up a fin to shush him. "Not even in your dreams, SpongeBob!"
She kicked him down. He screamed as he fell rapidly to the ground. It dispersed like a cloud breaking up into small pieces upon landing on it, and he could see himself asleep in bed in his room below.
He made a faceplant on the bed. He pushed himself up into a standing position and stared intensely in front of him at his other giant self that was sleeping and snoring. Only he couldn't hear the snoring. He could just see it. The only thing he could hear was himself talking.
"I must be dreaming still," he said, looking down at the neon green light being emitted from his body. "And I'm glowing!"
He saw a dream cloud stemming from Gary on his newspaper bed.
"I wonder what Gary is dreaming about?" He got into jumping position. "Maybe I can find out."
He leaped down through the cloud into a blank white space. A hole opened below him revealing a vast library below.
He landed on his bottom on the floor between two bookshelves.
