Hayner, Pence, and Olette climb the clock tower and perk up as they see Axel, Roxas, Xion, and Isa already waiting for them. Xion smiles and says

"Hey guys. About time you showed up"

as she giggles, nibbling on her ice cream. Olette sits beside her and the two start chattering

"We would've been here sooner if we could pull Pence away from the Old Mansion any sooner"

Olette giggles. Pence shrugs unashamedly and chuckles as Hayner starts chatting with Axel and Isa. Roxas sits silently between the two groups and listens as he stares out at the horizon before looking down at his ice cream, lost in thought. Hayner glances over at Roxas as the blonde looks down at his ice cream rather than eating it. He punches his best friend's arm and asks

"What's up man? You're never this quiet, and that's gonna melt if you don't eat it."

Roxas glances over and smiles sheepishly

"You're right."

He says as he takes a bite of the ice cream, turning to look back out at the sunset. Axel glances over with Xion and asks

"what's on your mind Rox?"

Roxas sighs softly and says

"Well... Our teacher said that Summer Vacation starts in two weeks..."

Everyone is silent for a few moments since they all have a pretty good idea how significant Summer Vacation is to him. Xion leans against him and smiles

"Well... Then we'll have to make this the best summer ever."

Hayner, Pence, and Olette all nod in agreement.

"Yeah! We'll make your first REAL Summer vacation the best summer ever!"

Hayner grins as he wraps an arm around Roxas's shoulders.

"We could go to the beach, or explore new wonders here in Twilight Town. You two could do The Struggle tournament..."

Pence offers as he lists the different activities on his fingers

"As long as we get our independent studies done before it's over"

Olette nods. Roxas smiles gratefully at his friends, chuckling as Hayner and Olette begin to bicker about the studies.

"You're right... Thanks guys. That all sounds like a lot of fun"

He chuckles as he smiles to himself, feeling a bit better as he takes another bite of his sea salt ice cream and joins Olette and Hayner in debating when to do their assignments. Xion smiles softly at him and looks at Axel who is also smiling a little. The two silently vow to make sure this summer is the best it can be for their best friend.
