When Arthur finally shows signs of life after nearly dying at the Lake of Avalon, Merlin understands why Gwen kissed him when he'd woken from his poisoned fever all those years ago. Nothing had come of that kiss. Will anything come of this one? Rated T for now.

I only recently watched "Merlin" and when I finished I needed to know more. Did Merlin return to Camelot? How would he cope with Arthur's loss? This story is what I imagine happened in the days following Arthur's death. Edit: I'm continuing Merlin's story, following on from my epilogue. I hope to revisit some familiar characters.
