Chapter 3 A duel in Love

It's been a week since Everyone arrived at Duel Academy island and everyone was settling in.

Sean right now was in class next to Alexis as she gave an answer to Crowler.

The two had gotten closer since they met.

"Honey seriously at this rate you should be teaching the class." Sean said making her giggle.

"Do you have something to say Kruger?" Crowler asked annoyed.

"Nothing worth my time." Sean said making him glare.

"Since you seem to think you know all the answers then answer me this. What are the three ways a Duelist can win a duel automatically?" Crowler asked smugly.

"Exodia, Destiny board and Final countdown." Sean said boredly making him glare.

"You make it sound like you have them." Bastion said amused.

Sean's only answer was a grin while Crowler growled in annoyance. Ever since he's been here he's gotten nothing but disrespect and back talk from him. Though honestly he deserved it since in Sean's mind he was nothing but a bully and he despised those.

'Thats it I can't take it anymore! I'll see this punk expelled!' Crowler yelled in his head.

Later

Sean sighed as he went to his locker.

"I swear sometimes I think this guy is a hack." Sean said opening it before finding a letter. "If it's from that bitch I swear." Sean said reading it making him raise an eyebrow.

"Hey Sean." Alexis said walking to him before he handed her the letter making her read it. "I didn't give this." Alexis said.

"I think I have a pretty good idea whats going on. Crowler." Sean said making her sigh.

"I know he can be a big baby but seriously? Going this far? He clearly doesn't know you live on the girl's campus because he's childish." Alexis said making him nod.

"Welp...Let's get this shit over with." Sean said making her smile

Later

Crowler smirked as he waited for Sean to arrive.

Only to feel a shadow over him making him pause before looking behind him and screamed seeing his Assassin glaring at him.

"You."

"AHHHHHH!" Crowler screamed running away.

Only to run into a giant with flaming red hair who roared at him making him scream more.

"Had enough?" Sean asked making him face him seeing him with Alexis and her friends.

"You? But..." Crowler tried to say.

"You do know Sean lives here because you wouldn't let him in your dorms right?" Alexis asked making him widen his eyes seeing he royally screwed up.

"You are without a doubt a man child of the highest order. And since you tried to get me in trouble." Sean said grabbing him as he screamed in fear.

Later

Shepherd laughed seeing Crowler with a heavily bruised face.

"I can't say I disapprove of this since you did try to get a student in trouble. I think this is punishment enough. But I warn you don't do this again." Shepherd said.

"Yes sir." Crowler said in defeat leaving as Sean and Alexis smirked.

"Now I know you have some anger issues but still?" Shepherd asked.

"He's a man child who needed a lesson in humility." Sean said.

"Well, I suppose I can't deny that. Still try to get that temper under control." Shepherd said.

"Oh believe me I'm trying." Alexis said making him grin as they left.

Arriving back at his dorm Sean sighed as he took off his upper clothes revealing his scared body.

"You ever gonna tell me how you got that way?" Alexis asked walking in.

"No...Not yet." Sean said as she held his face making him sigh holding her close.

"You know...I can't help but wonder...What are we exactly?" Alexis asked.

"Hmm?" Sean asked.

"Are we a couple or just friends?" Alexis asked making him smirk.

"Well, why don't we settle that with a duel tomorrow?" Sean asked making her grin.

"Oh really?" Alexis asked.

"Call it a duel of passion if you will." Sean said making her smirk.

"All right." Alexis said.

Next day

Since there were no classes today Sean and Alexis were in the Duel arena with some students watching.

Chazz was also there wanting to see Sean get put in his place.

"This is gonna be sweet." Jaden said.

"What are they even dueling about?" Sirus asked.

"Oh this a duel of passion. If they feel something from this they become a couple." Mindy said surprising them.

"Ladies first." Sean said making her smirk drawing her cards.

"I play Etoile Cyber in Attack mode!" Alexis said as she appeared.

"And I play a card face down." Alexis said.

"Ok my move." Sean drawing his cards before smirking. "Ok...I play Spartan Trainee in Attack mode." Sean said as a young man with small muscles appeared.

"And to make things interesting I'll just go on the attack." Sean said as his Spartan went on the attack.

"Huh? Why?" Alexis asked before he went past her monster making her gasp in shock as he punched her in the gut making her groan losing life points. "What just happened?" Alexis asked confused.

"You see when a more powerful monster is on the field he can attack you directly. We Spartans do fight dirty you know." Sean said making her grin. "Next I play down a couple face downs." Sean said.

'Hmm. I keep forgetting Sean's monsters are based on old history Mythology of Greece. But still he had to have played that weak monster for another reason.' Alexis said.

"Ok I attack your monster." Alexis said as she went on the attack before his Spartan Trainee was destroyed making him lost 200 life points.

"I knew you'd do that and I'm glad." Sean said.

"Your what?" Alexis asked confused.

"When Spartan Trainee is destroyed I can summon another Spartan. Spartan Rookie." Sean said as a Spartan in armor appeared.

"Now attack her monster" Sean said as he rushed in.

"I don't think so. I activate my trap card. Doble Passe. It makes you attack me instead." Alexis said as she yelled getting stabbed with a spear making her groan before smirking. "And as a treat...I can do the same to you." Alexis said as she went on the attack. "Oh and when she does...She gains an extra 600 attack points." Alexis said as Sean got kicked but smirked as his life points remained untouched. "Wait what just happened?" Alexis asked before his face down was revealed.

"Gift of Hercules. When I'm attacked directly as the result of a trap or spell card I take no damaged. You didn't think it would be that easy no did ya." Sean said making her smile softly.

"Wow these cards of his are something else." Jaden said.

"I could have done that...If I had a manual." Chumly said.

"Now then." Sean said drawing his next card and smirked. "I pass." Sean said.

"That was weird. Why would he just pass without destroying her monster?" Syrus asked.

"Because he wants this to last." Bastion said.

"Yeah. This is too much fun for both of them." Jaden said.

Alexis smirked drawing her next card.

"I play blade skater and play Polymerization to fuse both my monsters to summon Cyber Blader." Alexis said as she appeared.

"And then I play Fusion weapon." Alexis said as her attack went up by 1500 before she destroyed his monster causing serious damage to his life points.

"My turn." Sean said as his face down was revealed as Monster Reborn bringing back his monster. "Next I sacrifice my monster to summon her." Sean said as his monster vanished before a female Assassin appeared in black robes.

"Whoa. Who's she?" Alexis asked.

"She's called the Assassin of Courage." Sean said.

"Not sure why you played her. My monster is a lot stronger than her." Alexis said.

"And that is where your problem lies." Sean said confusing her. "You see if you have a monster who's been equipped with a spell card that increases your attack over 1000 points...Well." Sean said as she went on the attack before slicing her monster in half shocking her. "That monster is automatically destroyed and she gains half of her original attack points so in other words." Sean said as she went from 2300 to 3450.

"Oh no way!" Jasmine yelled as the Assassin jumped before stabbing Alexis making her groan as she fell to her knees as she lost all her remaining life points.

"Well, that certainly was fun." Sean said walking to her picking her up making her smile.

Chazz growled before storming off which they noticed.

"What the fuck is his problem now?" Sean asked making her smile.

"Ignore him. I did feel something special in all this. So what does it make us?" Alexis asked holding his face making him grin.

"I think it can work." Sean said kissing her making the girls cheer.

"Aw man." Syrus said disappointed making Jaden laugh.

Meanwhile

Crowler growled as his plans to have Sean expelled backfired.

"GRR! What does it take to defeat that little punk!" Crowler yelled before an idea came to mind making him grin. "Well, If I can't get him in trouble the least I can do is humiliate him." Crowler said making plans already.

Meanwhile

In a prison a man in his 40's sat in a cell before someone was let in.

"You asked for me?"

"I'm willing to pay your price...If you do everything I ask...I want that brat to suffer...Make it hurt in ways he can't imagine."

"With pleasure. Just as long as I get paid."

Author's note: Yeah I know it wasn't very long but now tensions are beginning to rise with mysteries around Sean's past. Who scarred him and who has a grudge against him? Find out in later chapters. After weeks of grieving for the loss of my dog I decided to get back into writing again.
