Loki was fighting his brother Thor in the Avengers Tower. The rest of the team was busy fighting off Loki's army. Loki was winning. Thor laid on the ground groaning in pain and bloodied. Loki's voice dripped with sarcasm as he leaned in, his eyes glinting with a dangerous light. "Honestly Thor I expected more from you. This planet and its people made you weak. Midgard will kneel before me their true king..starting with you. I will destroy this place you call home and enjoy every second of it."

Thor raised his hammer to strike Loki and suddenly a beautiful priestess stood in his way. "Don't hurt Loki!"

"Priestess Kuri!" Thor snarled. "You dare?!"

Kuri's barrier rose up, stopping Thor from harming his brother.

Raising an eyebrow in surprise, Loki slowly circled the priestess, studying her carefully. He could see the determination in her eyes, and part of him was curious about what drives her to protect someone like him. He stopped when he was behind her.

She turned swiftly, ignoring Thor, knowing he will not strike with her there. "Loki… are you hurt?"

The corner of his lipped twitches, and he leans closer to her, his breath hot against her ear, soft and mocking. "Why do you care, sweetheart?" He reached out to touch her face gently, almost tenderly, but it was all a part of the trick, the facade.

"Don't insult me with your lies…" She snapped. "Just please… show me your wounds."

Loki chuckled darkly, and his eyes glimmered mischievously. He took a step back, his hand dropping from her face as he opened his shirt, revealing the wounds that marred his perfect chest. His voice was husky as he spoke. "Better?"

"Yes," The priestess was unaffected by the sexual tension, as she healed him, but her healing caused pleasure to wash over him, so strong it made his knees buckle and filled him with desire so strong he forgot the war for moment.

Loki gasped at the pleasure, his body trembling with desire. His eyes were glazed, and for a moment, he forgot where he was and who he was fighting against. He reached out to her, grabbing her waist and pulling her closer.

Kuri placed a hand on his lips before he kissed her. "Stop. it's not real, what you feel. You of all people should recognize a lie." She let him go but stood in front of him protectively so Thor could strike him.

He growled in frustration and desire, his eyes burning with a mixture of lust and anger. Like he always did, Loki decided to use his rage. He tried to push the priestess aside, his body moving on instinct as he launched himself at Thor, his fist connecting hard with Thor's face.

Kuri stepped aside and let them fight, but none of Thor's attacks struck Loki, and he realized she was still protecting him, and wondered what it was she felt, and how much strength it took not to kiss him.

Loki stopped his attack and turned to face her, his eyes searching hers for answers. He was confused, torn between his desire for her and the knowledge that he should not trust her. His expression softened as he saw the pain in her eyes, and he took a step towards her.

Kuri didn't move, but simply said, "No." Thor continued to try to attack but was now hitting a barrier as the priestess continued to protect him.

Loki watched her push Thor back, his eyes never leaving her face. He could see the strain on her, and he knew that she was only doing this because she cared for him. He took another step towards her, reaching out to her.

Kuri repeated, "No, Loki." She continued to keep Thor away. "Go, conquer the world."

Loki eyes narrowed at her words, and he took a step back. He knew that she was goading him, trying to push him away. But he also knew that there was a hint of truth in her words. He had always wanted to conquer, to prove himself, right?

"Is it not your wish, to make them kneel?" The priestess asked. "For you are their God." Kurai's body was straining, keeping Thor back, and Loki realized that she planned to die to protect him.

Loki looked at her, his eyes scanning her face. He knew that she was right. He had always wanted to be worshiped, adored. He watched as she strained to keep Thor back, and he knew that she was willing to die for him.

"Why are you hesitating? I am nothing! Go! conquer this world! They would be lucky to have you for a king!" Loki could hear the love in her voice, confusing him, her belief in him even though she must know how he would destroy her world. He had never had anyone believe in him, let alone love him.

Loki reached out a hand to touch her face gently before pulling it back. "You are wrong, my dear."

"Please go! This is just sentiment!" She cried, and the force of his own words struck Loki like a blow. "It's confusing you, distracting you from your calling!"

Loki shook his head, trying to clear it. He knew that what she is saying makes sense, but he couldn't help feeling...softness in his chest at her words. It was dangerous. He took a step back from her, his face hardening. "Silence, woman."

Kuri nodded, pleased that he was no longer distracted, her barrier began to press Thor to the ground, holding him in place.

Loki watched as she expertly held Thor in place with her barrier, a hint of pride in his chest that she was on his side. He turned back to her, his face once again a mask of calm confidence. "Again, impressive."

"Thank you my lord," Kuri said. "With Thor subdued you can make the humans ants under your feet."

Loki raised an eyebrow at her words, surprised that she would so easily agree to such a plan. He could hear the hollow, cold tone in her voice. His eyes narrowed as he took in her form, wondering if she was truly on his side or if this was all a ploy. He decided to test her.

Kuri tilted her head at him, but her absolute worship did not waver.

Loki's lips curled into a sly smirk as he saw her unyielding devotion towards him. He moved closer to her, his hand reaching out to gently tilt her chin upwards. He leaned in, his breath ghosting over her lips. "Are you sure about that, my dear?"

"Absolutely," Kuri seemed immune to his seduction, which he clearly realized was due to innocence.

Loki chuckled softly, his smirk growing wider as he realized that she would not be swayed. He found her innocence amusing and endearing. "Very well, let us proceed then."

"Then let me be the first." Kuri knelt before him.

Loki's eyes widened in surprise. His smirk faltered for a brief moment as he struggled to maintain his usual composure. He cleared his throat and looked down at her, unsure of what to do. "Rise, my dear."

"No…you said this is where mortals belong."

Loki scowls as she again used his own words against him. He regretted his words instantly as he saw the hurt in her eyes. He extended a hand to her, helping her stand back up. He took a step closer to her, his voice softening. "Forgive me, I did not mean it."

"That is a lie…" Kuri pulled away, extending her arm to the population of New York. "Look at them! They deserve to be subjugated and kneel before their ruler!"

Loki watched as she pulled away, his heart sinking as he realized that she was not swayed by his charm. He turned to the people of New York, his eyes narrowing in anger and disgust, as he turned once again to rage to soothe his pain. He clenched his fists, the power within him surging forward.

Kuri knelt lower in preparation for his attack and the sight of her kneeling once again fueled Loki's rage as he attacked the city.

Loki watched with contempt as the people of New York knelt before him, forced by his power, as he reveled in their terror and submission. He turned his gaze back to her, anger and disgust etched across his features as he saw her kneeling as well. He raised a hand, ready to strike her down in his rage.

Kuri lowered her head in submission.

Loki's rage faltered for a moment as he looked at her, seeing her submission and it twisted his stomach, he hated it. He hated seeing her like that, vulnerable and scared. His hand trembled before he lowered it, his anger dissipating as quickly as it came.

"What's wrong?" Kuri asked innocently. "A-am I doing this wrong? I-I long to be destroyed by your power, my lord."

Loki looked at her, confusion clouding his features. He saw the pain in her eyes and he knew that his words and actions caused that pain. He reached out, hesitant, and pulled her into his arms. "No, my dear. You did nothing wrong."

Kuri's eyes widened and she pulled away "My lord! do not debase yourself by touching a mortal such as me!"

Loki looked at her, surprised by her reaction. He hadn't meant to touch her in such an intimate way, but now that he had, he found that he didn't want to let go. He reached out again, gently cupping her cheek. "You are no mortal to me."

"Please… don't lose yourself to sentiment…"

Loki stares at her, anger bubbling up inside him again. How dare she tell him what to do. How dare she try to control him. "You think you can control me? You think you can tell me what to do?" He grabs her angrily, magic bubbling up into his fingers.

Kuri lowered her head. "Yes… destroy me. that would be best…" Tears of supplication fell down her cheeks.

Loki's anger subsided, replaced by sadness. He couldn't bear to hurt her, even if she thought she deserved it. "No… I could never hurt you." He released her, stepping back. "You are too precious to me."

"No…you mustn't…"

Loki looks at her, confused. He didn't understand why she was stopping him from expressing his feelings for her. "Why not? Why can't I show you how much I care for you?"

"B-because I am worthless."

Loki took a step closer to her, reaching out to wipe away her tears. "No… you are not worthless. You are the most beautiful, strong, smart woman I have ever met." He leaned in, pressing his lips to hers in a gentle kiss. "Let me show you."

"Mm…" Despite her despair, Kuri couldn't stop herself from kissing him.

Loki deepened the kiss, his arms wrapping around her as he held her close. "I will never let anyone hurt you again." He murmured against her lips before kissing her once more.

Kuri kissed harder. "Loki… you shouldn't… because now I can't stop…" She kissed down his neck, her hands slid into his shirt against his bare skin.

Loki let out a low growl, his grip on her tightening as he tilts his head to give her better access to his neck. "I don't care. I want you." His hands moved down her back, sliding under her skirt to grab onto her hips as he pulled her closer.
