It had been about five days since the end of the Second Blood War, where she had defeated The Dark Lord Voldemort on the grounds of Hogwarts.

There was so much going on in her head at the moment that she wondered what she was going to do right now. After all, she couldn't see herself going back to Hogwarts for her last year -so much had happened that she didn't see herself managing to go to school like normal.

Hadriana had never thought that she would live through the war, and now that she had the time to explore and live the life, she wanted she didn't know what to do!

Life since the day she was born had been miserable. From what she had been told, James and Lily had been wonderful parents, but then they got killed and she ended up with Petunia, Vernon, and Dudley Dursley. They hadn't been fit parents at all, and she had hated every moment of living with them.

Then there were her years at Hogwarts and the war happening that somehow meant that she never could trust the adults in her life to do their job – meaning that she never could go to them for help because they expected children to go to war for them.

The whole wizarding world had expected three children at the time to do their best to protect them, but at the same time, they didn't trust them to do know certain things that could have helped us in the long run.

First year. That year was both the best year of her life, but also the worst because it became clear as night and day that the teachers. The adults never would take the things they said seriously. Going to McGonagall didn't help much, and the lousy protection details on the stone were something not to be desired. How had three first-year students managed to go through them, as she remembers it had been effortless. How the heck hadn't many more students gone through it or even explored it? Had Dumbledore wanted them to go through it, and did he want her to confront Quirrell? Then there was the whole taking points and then giving extreme points to Gryffindor.

It was like Dumbledore wanted the Slytherins to hate us!

Second Year. The whole school year was one letdown after another. Learning that she could speak to snakes was something she thought was quite cool, and she was glad that she still could meaning that it shouldn't be an unusual ability to have. Having the whole school bullying her for it, and getting so good at dodging spells that were thrown at her and other nasty spells and things were the hardest parts. Again, the teachers didn't do shits to help her or even reined the others in. Then students were petrified. Finding the diary. Having it stolen again. Went to an Acromantula den just because Hagrid had asked them to. Not the soundest thing they had done, but who could they have asked? Finding that Ginny was missing. Fighting a Basilisk. Being stabbed. Then surviving because of Fawks. Stabbing the diary. Then having to pretend to go back to normal life without so much help from the teachers to get through the mental trauma.

Then there was her third year. It was the most mundane year she'd had, with nothing much to do other than avoid the dementors. Finding out that your godfather is innocent of betraying her parents. Again no one believes them.

Fourth year. There was that blasted tournament. Everyone shunned her again, even both of her friends and by that losing her trust in them – meaning she hadn't quite trusted them since they turned their backs on her all those years ago, not that they understood that. A dragon. Water and a maze. Then watching Voldemort come back to life, being under the Cuscio curse.

Then the next, year everyone distrusted her, not believing. It shouldn't have been that surprising, but it was because Dumbledore yet again didn't do a shit to help her through it or just supported her. Then there was the Ministry of Magic, and the Department of Mystery fiasco – if she had known what had been going on she would never have gone there. Then she would have known that Voldemort would have used it to his advantage, but NO they thought her too young to see the use of distrusting everything.

The sixth year was great, the calmest year she's had in that school. Other than having to watch memories of Tom Riddle, to figure out how he had survived all these years. Horuxes.

Then her seventh year, they were on the run because Dumbledore died though something didn't sit well with her about that death. Going through hell to find them. Going to death after watching Snape's memories, it was hard watching his slow death but at least he is at peace if not her mother isn't yelling at him for bullying her. At least he can rest after decades of being on the radar too two powerful people's games. Coming back to life again because Dumbledore wanted her to kill that megalomaniac for old time's sake. At least it was great to know that the man was finally dead.

Now she was laying quietly in her bed at Grimmould Place, ordering Kreatcher to begin cleaning the place up, and he had done an excellent job. There is a lot more to do, but she finally had the time to just be herself and she was already happy that she had changed the wards. No one could come uninvited into her house. No one!

It was finally time to wake up to a different world. A world where she finally could become herself, and who she was would be a shock to everyone who thought they knew her. They only cared about the Woman-Who-Conquered, not Hadriana Potter. It was also the fact that she never would become an Auror or go back to school for the last year of schooling that would make them lose it.

Going down to the living room after a refreshing shower and said hello to Kreacher and began to eat the breakfast he came with. It was peaceful not stressing about or having anything to worry about.

"Here is the Mail, Mistress," Kreacher said and popped out to start cleaning the other floors.

Hadriana could see that he felt relieved to finally have orders that meant something and looked happier and maybe even healthier. Now she looked through the letters. There was one from Hogwarts, the Ministry and Gringotts.

The Hogwarts letter stated that they needed time to get the school up and running, and they needed volunteers if they wanted the school to open come September. If you wanted to help, just come to Hogwarts, and send a letter if you wanted to start up again. That there was going to be an 8 year for those who couldn't come to the school last year.

Reading it that was what she had expected from them, she would have loved to help but she didn't want to be haunted by questions. Sending a letter to them saying that she would love to help out, but that she didn't want to come because she would be stalked by questions she didn't want to answer. Then there was the fact that she didn't want to step foot into the schoolyard after everything that had happened there.

From the ministry, there was talk about a ball and a speech that they wanted her to make, but she knew already that she never would do it. Then there was from the education board saying that they could also take the exams at the ministry, but already she wanted to find out where else she could take it because she did not want to be associated with them at all, at least not how they are now. Not until she could see some changes happening in how they ran the place.

It was the Gringotts letter that made her pause.

Lady Hadriana Rosalyn Potter-Black

After you and your friends saw it fit to break into the bank, we interrogated Griphook about what it was, and we saw it fit to do an audit of everything you own. Through this audit, we discovered some discrepancies going back years.

We want to talk to you about this and your version of events that happened, but also to see what we can do for you.

King Ragnok III
of the London Branch of Gringotts

That was interesting, and by that, she meant that this was something she couldn't miss at all. She needed to figure out what they wanted in compensation for the damages they made, and she knew that it needed to be handled at once. There was also the fact about the discrepancies in her Vault it seemed.

Getting Kreatcher to get her the best wizarding robes they had on hand, was one of Bellatrix's old dresses that she used when she was young, and it fit her well enough and was something she loved. With a sigh, she made herself presentable, popped up near Gringotts and walked in.

Soon she was sitting in front of her account manager she had never known about, and the King of the British Branch of Gringotts, she began to explain everything that had happened in the years that had been and what made her break into the bank.

After the explanation, there was more understanding in their eyes than she had hoped for.

"We understand, and we know that Horuxes is one of the blackest of magic, but that doesn't excuse your conduct in breaking into the bank." King Ragnok hummed.

"That is understandable, and I know there should be action taken because of it. Everything would have been much easier if I had known if I had an account manager here." Hadriana told them, and she was serious, that if she had known that she somehow had an account manager here things would have happened differently.

"You mean that you didn't know anything about your accounts?"

"No! Every time I've tried to figure something out, I've always been stopped. This is the first time I've been able to shake people's expectations of me."

"How long ago have you been with people?" was asked for some reason.

"Five or so days. I walked to my death and was killed by Voldemort again because I had to get rid of the Horcrux that had lodged itself into my scar."

Ragnok looked at her sharply at what she mentioned, and he was surprised that something like that had gone on in the world outside, though, even the goblin nation was glad that the war outside of their walls was over. "Not even your Magical Guardian?" he asked in alarm.

"I don't even know who that is," Hadriana said beginning to get a little bit frustrated about everything that seemed to come up now.

"Do you consent to an inheritance test, we need to find out everything that is hidden in your blood, and then we need to do an ability and affinity test. Then if you want to, we can to a heritage slash linage test to create a family tapestry to see everything, even though I think there is one in the Potter Manor and the Blackhouse in London."

"What do I have to do? And what will happen to my blood?" Hadriana accepted though she was cautious enough to ask where and what would happen to her blood afterwards something that they looked like they liked by their bloodthirsty smiles.

"You need to drop three drops of blood on this parchment, seven on this parchment, and then 9 drops of blood here," Ragnok said while pointing to their respective parchments. "The blood is going to be destroyed and only connect with you. It is after all, only being used for these peculiar parchments." "Hmm, it is good to always be cautious about where your blood lands, just like it is useful to always read everything before signing something."

The last thing was said as a warning, and Hadriana had known that tibbit of information after all she had heard Vernon grumbling about it since she was old enough to understand what he meant.

Then she dropped the required blood and watched it form sentences and show lines going backwards for centuries seeing names like Malfoy, Black, Lestrange, Prewett, and the most shocking name on it was Gallert Grindelwald.

"Looking down at this there is a lot of shocking information that even we didn't know about you, and all of this makes you one of our richest clients. However, you need a cleansing ritual done." Ragnok muttered angrily over everything that was being written down. "It's no use these two parchments before you get a cleansing." He said looking up with a flash of pride and awe.

"Why?" Hadriana asked weirded out, but followed the Goblin Healer deeper into the maze that was Gringotts. Now she couldn't wait to see what had been written, and it was clear that she had to do the test again to see if there had been something hidden. The ritual she was led through and under was done in the utmost secrecy it seemed, as when it was over she felt lighter, clearheaded, and completely pain-free. Nothing hurt and it seemed like she could now see without her glasses.

Sitting up in the hospital bed, she began to stand up and at once she could feel that she was some inches taller.

"You handled it easier than people older than you." The Goblin Healer suddenly said.

"Thank you?" Hadriana said confused, and with a question mark.

"DO you want a mirror?"

Hadriana nodded quite surprised by the question, but at the same time, she was curious why. Then she knew, she looked at herself in the mirror and she looked completely different than what she had done before the ritual. Her hair was still frizzy, but it was long and went down to the middle of her back. As she ran her fingers through the curly hair, it felt glossy and healthier than ever before. Her face was more aristocratic, and it showed her black ancestry something that pleased her, her eyes were still the emerald green of her mother. The facial shape was narrower, and more feminine body and as she said a few inches higher. Now she had a body she could become proud of, and it was clear that no one would recognize her and that was a bonus.

"Come let's go." The Goblin said.

Then it was back into the office of her account manager and was asked to do the same again to see if there was a difference which there was.

There was a lot of information to digest and take over her, a lot of what was written was completely new to her, but it was also interesting to finally know who and what had happened, she just hoped that she wasn't kidnapped by her adopted parents.

Hadriana looked shocked up from the parchment wondering what the first question was going to be because there was a lot. "I have so many questions now," she said overwhelmed at the information coming forward.

Ragnok smiled with a glimmer of a frown and remembrance like he just remembered something. "I know that they left a couple of letters for you to read in your adopted mother's Vault. The whole adoption, I know happened in these walls and it had to happen in secret." "I think all your questions will be answered in them."

Nodding along because that is all she knew right now was that there was more to come and time for her to read them.

"Then let's finalise your inheritance," Ragnok said and laid six jewellery boxes next to one another on his desk. "Begin with the one on the left, onto your left ring finger."

So, she opened the box, and she knew at once that it was the Potter family ring. As soon as she placed it on her ring finger she sized up, like it was searching for her worthiness before it re-sized now fitting perfectly on her finger. It was like taking a warm comforting bath.

Then the next ring was the Black's. It was simpler than the Potters, but she still felt the family magic coursing through it as it sized her up all the way down to her core before re-sizing to fit alongside the Potters. The family magic was colder than the warmth of the Potters, but at the same time, she felt accepted by the magic of her ancestors.

The next ring was for the family of Lestrange, a family she never would have thought to belong to. When it had sized her up, she felt for the first time that something was alright in her life, that life was about to get better. The family magic felt happy to finally have someone back into the family after everyone was convicted or thrown away the family legacy.

The Slytherin ring was the same as the Black's, it was cold as it sized her up but then came the familial magic as it strengthened her bond to her blood and her parceltongue ability.

The Peverell ring was then again colder, and it was a hazy ring to have on like it was weighing her worth. It was said after all that it was deaths ring if the legends were right. The thing was she wasn't unfamiliar to death, she had already been on death's doorsteps a couple of times. When it had re-sized, there was a rumble that wasn't felt by others, but by her as three objects materialised in front of her. The wand that she had left in Dumbledore tomb, the resurrection stone that she had lost, and her trusty invisibility cloak. They happily laid themselves in her lap much to her surprise and the goblin's shock.

"That was unexpected," Ragnok exclaimed.

"Yeah." Hadriana sighed, softly tracing her fingers over the items in her lap.

The last ring she had to adore was Grindelwald's. A simple and adoring ring. Just like the Potters, it quickly accepted her as the leader and owner.

"Congratulation, Lady Potter-Black-Lestrange-Peverell-Grindelwald."

"Thanks, just call me either Hadriana or if you will Lady Peverell," Hadriana said after thinking quickly over it, knowing that it would be best to just take the last name Peverell, then any of the others.

"Before I let you be led to who your new account manager will be, we need to figure out about compensating for what you did," Ragnok said finally.

Sitting straighter she listened to what the head goblin was saying about what needed to be done. There wasn't a lot that was said and needed but she would pay a substantial fine, but it wouldn't make a dent in fortune. It was reasonable, and something she was willingly doing because it was after all her fault for the damages.

After reading the deal over, for the fourth time she signed it. Getting a copy, and the fine would be taken out of the Potter Vault. Then she was led to another office, the office of her account manager.

After the standard goblin greeting, they began to talk about the most obvious.

"Congratulations is in order; you are one of our wealthiest clients. Lady Peverell." Ironclaw said as he looked up from the parchments on his desk. Looking at the young wiz coming into his office, still clearly in shock.

"Thanks."

"This is the Ledgers of the Potters, Black, Lestrange, Peverell, Slytherin and Grindelwald." Ironclaw laid a couple of piles of books down on his desk, one after another. "These are self-updating books, if you lose one of them there is a fine for 100 gallons each for another copy."

Nodding along, so, she knew that she had to take care of them and watch them from time to time.

Seeing that she was listening to what he had to say and understood it. "We are still conducting audits of all your vaults, and it is still in progress. As you now are and own several more vaults because of your ancestors and because of the incarceration of the others in your family. It will take a few days extra to map everything out for you, like investments, monetary value, and treasury. You can follow it along as she reads the booklets in front of you."

Hadriana was glad that she didn't need to be here and could take it with her and read it at her leisure. As there was bound to be a lot she didn't know. "That is fine."

"We are doing it like this because of your value to the bank, and because of what happened." Ironclaw explained, "and I think it will also be easier for you."

Seeing the nod of agreement, he went right back to saying what he needed to say, "I will fix you up with a post-office box, connected to one in Diagon Alley and with my own box here. The reference nr. Is written on this paper." Ironclaw began, laying another paper along a rectangular box.

Hadriana was happy that she had managed to remember to take with her a soft backpack where she could carry the papers safely in, she was dreading to go through the papers when she came home.

"Do you have questions?"

"I don't want to come to the bank every time I want to take out money, what can you offer me?"

"We can offer you three options: A Gringotts Credit Card you can use in the Non-Magical World, A Bank Slip mostly used for large purchases in the Magical World, and a Money Bag for small purchases in the magical world."

"I will take one of each," she said because she loved the option of all three.

"Then I want someone to make an audit of every one of the properties I own, update of wards, damages and if there are dark artefacts laying around, cleansing them or open up a vault for them so that I can get to them in the future."

Ironclaw frowned thoughtfully, "We can do it, but it will take time maybe even months."

"I don't care how long it takes, but when it is done, I want a tour of the property."

"Let's see." He said as he looked through some papers. "Each of your Family has approximately 5 to 6 properties. Updating wards and fixing wards for each house will be about 250 Gallons. We will list damages, and what needs to be fixed in each house when the time comes for it. The Ward Breakers we will hire for each artefact we come across, and the wards on the properties that need to be fixed, will be about 159 gallons."

"Take it from the Peverell Vault." It wasn't much compared to what she knew she owned, but it also needed to be done. "You don't need to check on The Black Property of Grimmould Place in London, as I am staying there."

"Noted." Ironclaw wrote down.

Hadriana knew that they were soon done with, so, she began to carefully place each parchment into her back, connecting the money back to her by one drop of her blood, and the same with the others. "I was told there were a couple of letters left to me by my parents in The Evans vault."

"I will have someone take you there." Ironclaw nodded. "What do you think about investments in the non-magical world?" he hummed.

"If it makes me richer then go for it, after all, isn't it true the richer I am, the richer you become?" Hadriana smirked.

Ironclaw smirked as the goblin that would take his client down to her vault knocked on the door. "That is true!" "I will contact you when something comes up or when it's time for you to be shown through your properties. In the meantime, I will recommend you read your portfolios and familiarise yourself with your family legacy."

With that said she followed the other goblin down to her adopted mother's vault, where there were three letters written. One seemed to be from her godfather, the other from her adopted parents and the other from her biological parents. With that done, she walked out of the bank and popped back to her sanctuary.

Walking back through the doors of Grimmould Place seemed to be the best thing ever right then, she had been so overwhelmed in the bank hearing that she had been adopted, hearing that she never needed to work a day in her life. It was good that she had asked for a copy of her test because it was clear that she needed to look through it again when she had come down from the high of acceptance of her familial rings.

Sitting gracefully down in the living room couch, she finally came out of the haze she had been in since leaving the bank. It was clear that the house liked that she had taken up the ring, even the walls glowed and sparkled. "Kreatcher, tea please."

Kreatcher finally came into the living room with some tea, and when he finally laid eyes on her, he almost fainted before he took himself up again. "Mistress. You finally took up the mantle of Lady Black?" he asked as his eyes sparkled with a little more life than she had seen.

She gave him a smile, "That's right Kreacher. I found something quite interesting in my time at Gringotts." And took a sip of the tea her elf had made; he had made it just as she liked it. "I took up some other family names too." Just saying that out loud made her calmer, at least somewhat. "I'm Lady Potter-Black-Lestrange-Peverell-Grindelwald." That there is really a mouthful, and she will only go by Lady Peverell since that will be easier to remember for everyone.

"What is it that I heard?" The Portrait of Lady Walburga Black yelled suddenly making Hadriana finally figure it out because that portrait is connected to every room in the house. Making her realise that something needed to be done about that, but that was the case only if Walburga made a scene.

"Take this up to my office." She told Kreacher and handed her bag to him but took her inheritance parchment with her to show Walburga.

With a sigh, she walked to the portrait of Lady Walburga. "Yes." Hadriana raised an eyebrow in question to the previous Lady Black.

"Have you come into your own?" Walburga asked peering down at the lady standing before her now. "Hmm, I remember you looking different just a couple of hours ago."

"You don't have any other portraits, do you?" Hadriana asked shrewdly, "I'm not ready for this to go public yet, and I need time to come to terms with everything."

"No dear." Walburga laughed, "I only did this portrait to bother my sons. If they had survived." There was a kind of sadness in the way she said it that made Hadriana pause.

"Earlier today I got a letter from Gringotts. You know that?"

Walburga nodded.

"I went there expected to pay for what I did to the bank, harshly, but I was met with a quiet sense of awe. Nevertheless, I was told that something needed to be done, and for that to happen they had me take a couple of tests into my lineage." Hadriana paused, taking another sip of the tea that just kept coming.

"That is standard procedure when they know you are at least heir to two houses."

"When that was done, they only told me, that I needed a purge at once." It was still a shock to her system that there had been something wrong with her.

"WHAT!" Yelled Walburga, "Someone dared to poison the heiress of the house of Black!"

Hadriana grimaced at the loudness of Walbruga's voice, and with that, she knew that as soon as one of her other properties had been checked she would move into another house or manor. At least she should if she had a couple of children to take care of. Meaning if she had to take care of her godson or if she wanted to, Delphi Riddle, just so that she could grow up with her then anyone else could take advantage of her or create someone worse than what her father had been.

"Yeah, that is why I am different now."

"You look a lot like a proper Black," Walburga murmured.

"Afterwards, I had to do it again. Then, I found that I had been adopted by Lady Potter and Lord Potter. Found out my birth father is Rabastan Lestrange and Aurora Andromeda Malfoy, she was a squib. My adoptive parents left me a letter together with my biological one, so I can't wait to read what they were thinking." Hadriana muttered.

"That's explains so much…" Walburga mumbled.

"Why?"

"From what I know of rumours of the youngest Lestrange Brother, he was a recluse and on the shyer side. If Aurora, if I remember correctly out of all the gossip was the shame of the Malfoys, meaning she disappeared into the muggle world. How they met is a mystery, and she was quite a lot older than him. Then how they encountered Lady Potter and Lord Potter is a complete unknown for me."

"I will have to read their letters for it," Hadriana murmured. "Then I looked further, meaning that Sirius Orion Black also blood adopted me. Then a bunch of other people. Gallert Grindelwald is my great-great grandfather, on my adopted mother's side. I also have a niece, Delphi Riddle… The orphaned daughter of Bellatrix and Voldemort, it seems like." That was still weird knowing that they had a child, but that child was innocent no matter how their parents behaved.

Walburga listened to what the current Lady Black said about the convoluted past and family the woman in front of her had found out about herself. Sometimes she wonders what kind of life the woman led, but she needed urgent care and guidance. Finding out that Bellatrix had a child with that monster made her frown, but the child needed to be found. "You may not believe me but let me say this."

"I never hated your father. I hated that he turned his back on tradition and his family. Toujours Pur isn't just blood you know. It is also meant to symbolise that you stay true to your family. Every family has a motto of what they want the family to be. You are the sole survivor of these families making you very rich and powerful in certain circles. From what I know of your upbringing, you don't know anything of the wizarding world?"

"No, I don't. I need a little help to start with."

"Don't worry, I will help you as much as possible or get Kreacher to find you a couple of books that could be helpful." "I also didn't care for what kind of man Voldemort became at the end of his life…"

Hearing that was much more unbelievable than anything else she told her, with a raised eyebrow in disbelief.

"Nonetheless, you have an orphaned Niece out there. Have you thought about finding her, and how old is she?"

"Yeah, I have thought about finding her. I want to before someone tells her something, I want her to grow up loved. Born two months ago…" Hadriana said after she had looked through the parchment in her hand.

"Good. It's better to blood adopt someone this young, as your daughter." Walburga smiled, knowing at once that this was something the woman in front of her would want to do. "Now you need to rest up, then take care of your portfolios and see to the letters of your family. When you have rested up, I will lead you to a book where there is a ritual to return lost children to their parents or the family."

With that Walburga became quiet, though she smiled to the woman that was going to become formidable.
