Chapter 6: The Klazok Oracle:

Vunshoec's POV:

We were all on our way. "So, what can you tell us about kargs," I asked.

"There have been ancient hatred between kargs and hunters," says Vodcoo, "long ago, their ancestors lived in a world far from Parilia. And had two eyes like other men. Then they made a bargain with Caklorm, the leader of the Hunters. They gave up one of their eyes in exchange for the power to see into the future. But they were cheated. For the only future they are permitted to see is the time of their own death. They're sad, solitary creatures born to know the day they will die."

We then continued on.

...

"We three will go on," says Vodcoo, "the rest will remain here."

"We four will go on," says Zopzut, "I'm not staying behind with these criminals!"

"We four will go."

...

Vodcoo, Zopzut, Vroktor, and I then went off to find the Klazok Oracle. "He marches us towards a face of solid rock," says Zopzut, "the man has raisins in his braincase."

The Klazok Oracle's POV:

"I recognize an old friend," I said.

Vunshoec's POV:

A green light then comes out of a rock, and it reveals a crack on the rock and Vodcoo walks through. The rest of us then follow.

"Mad," says Zopzut, "they're all mad!" He then followed us...

...

We were in the lair of the Klazok Oracle. We then saw the Oracle and a young boy. "We seek the lair of Caklorm," says Vodcoo.

"Such a vision would be opposed," says the Klazok Oracle, "who seeks it?"

"The new King," says Vodcoo.

"With an old voice," asks the Oracle.

"You know the voice," asks Vodcoo.

"Yes, my friend," says the Oracle.

"We're trying to find the-" Vodcoo cut me off.

"I will seek his lair for you," says the Oracle. We then all sat down.

"Got any sugarballs," Zopzut asks the boy.

"No," says the boy.

"Gumdrops?"

"No."

"What kind of boy are you," asks Zopzut, "boys always have candy."

"I have a cinnamon bar," says the boy.

"Share and share alike," says Zopzut, "I am Zopzut the Spectacular. Short in stature, tall in power, narrow of purpose and wide of vision."

"That is very impressive," says the boy.

"I should hope so," says Zopzut.

"I'm Kayjis."

"That's not impressive," says Zopzut, "but adequate."

The Oracle's crystal thing started floating and spinning. We then saw an image. "Caklorm's lair," says Vodcoo.

"Where is it," I asked.

A hand then came out of nowhere and ruined the image. Zopzut screamed like a little girl for a long time. We all looked at him. "I would appreciate it if no one here told anyone I screamed like that," says Zopzut.

"Are you alright," I asked the Oracle.

"Yes," says the Oracle, "Caklorm does not like curious oracles poking into his affairs."

"His power is too great for you to overcome," says Vodcoo.

"Yes," says the Oracle, "here. But there is one place where his power cannot reach."

"The Klazok Temple," says Vodcoo.

"Yes," says the Oracle, "in that place, he cannot oppose my vision."

"Will you travel with us," I asked.

"It is the great swamp," says the Oracle, "a treacherous place."

"Our need is great," I said.
