WWF Fully Loaded was live at the Selland Arena in Fresno, first match that aired live on the event was a standard wrestling match between Val Venis and Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett's allies Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight) were sent to backstage before the match by the referee. Venis dominated earlier part of the match with two near-falls. Jarrett powerbombed Venis and threw him outside the ring, where Jarrett's manager Tennessee Lee attacked Venis. Venis returned the ring and performed a Belly to Back Suplex on Jarrett. Jarrett's head collided with the referee's head, allowing Venis to take advantage. He pinned Jarrett with a roll-up to win the match.
The second match was a standard wrestling non-title match between WWF European Champion D'Lo Brown and X-Pac, representing Nation of Domination and D-Generation X respectively. Brown dominated most of the match and nearly finished it by performing his finisher, a Frog Splash, which he called Lo Down, on X-Pac, but X-Pac kicked out at the 2 count. Brown then attempted to perform a Moonsault but X-Pac avoided the move. X-Pac then controlled the match by attacking Brown in the corner until Brown whipped X-Pac into the ropes. Brown's manager The Godfather attacked X-Pac, allowing Brown to perform Rydeen Bomb, which he called Sky High, on X-Pac for the victory.
The third match was a tag team match pitting Faarooq and Scorpio against Justin Bradshaw and Terry Funk. As the match started, Faarooq and Scorpio dominated the earlier part of the match. Bradshaw then battled Faarooq by performing a Superplex and Powerbomb, while Funk battled Scorpio outside the ring. Funk and Scorpio were tagged by their partners Faarooq and Bradshaw, who fought with each other outside the ring. This allowed Scorpio to perform a 450° Splash, which he called Scorpio Splash on Funk for the victory. As a result, Faarooq and Scorpio won the match. After the match, Bradshaw attacked Funk, Scorpio and Faarooq.
The fourth match was a standard wrestling match between Mark Henry and Vader. Initially, Henry dominated Vader using power moves, until Vader countered a sunset flip with a butt drop and got the advantage. He dominated Henry with brawling, eventually performing a second rope splash which he called Vader Crush, but Henry kicked out at 2 to the pin attempt. Henry then recovered and snap powerslammed him, following with a running splash for the victory.
The fifth match was a tag team match between Disciples of Apocalypse (8-Ball and Skull) and L.O.D. 2000 (Hawk and Animal). The match went back and forth with Paul Ellering continuously interfering on DOA's behalf. Both members of DOA dominated Hawk until Hawk clotheslined both members of DOA. Animal was tagged in. LOD performed an Electric Chair Diving Clothesline Combination, which they called Doomsday Device, on the legal member of DOA. Animal attempted to pin the legal DOA member but the illegal member broke the pinfall attempt, allowing the legal man to roll out of the ring and the illegal person took advantage by pinning Animal. As a result of being twins, DOA won the match.
Next up was the Triple Threat match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.
In the arena, DX's theme began to play before Triple H walks out with the rest of DX accompanying him. The group makes their way towards the ring as the bell rings and Howard Finkel does introductions.
"The following Triple Threat contest is scheduled for one-fall with a thirty minute time limit and is for the World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Championship. Introducing the challengers. First, accompanied by D-generation X, from Greenwich, Connecticut, weighing 246 lbs... TRIPLE H!" Howard Finkel announced.
Triple H and DX enter the ring and do the DX chop, setting off fireworks. Triple H poses on one of the turnbuckles, raising his arms for the crowd to copy before he gets down. Soon, the DX theme dies down.
The Rock's theme then plays to boos from the crowd as the former Intercontinental Champion walks out, accompanied by the rest of the Nation of Domination.
"The second challenger, accompanied by members of the Nation, weighing 270 lbs... THE ROCK!" Howard Finkel announced.
"Triple Threat match, Intercontinental title, ladies and gentlemen." JR said.
The Rock and the Nation make their way to the ring, glaring at DX who glare back. The crowd was showing their dislike for the Rock by starting up a 'Rocky sucks' chants.
'Rocky sucks! Rocky suck! Rocky sucks!' The crowd chanted.
"Rocky does not suck!" Jerry shouted at the fans.
"DX and the Nation with one of the most intense rivalries in the WWF, now involving the Bladewolf." JR said. "Bladewolf won the Intercontinental title from the Rock back in May on RAW, then retained it at Over the Edge. The Rock is looking to reclaim that title tonight."
"Well, just remember JR; this is a Triple Threat match. The Bladewolf does not need to be pinned or submitted in order to lose the title." Jerry reminded him. "The Rock could pin Triple H and he'll still become Champion."
"That is right, King." JR nodded.
The Rock and the Nation enter the ring and stare down Triple H and DX as the Rock's theme dies down. And now, it was time for the Champion to arrive.
OOOOOOOOWWWWHHHHOOOOOOO!
The Devil's Wolf played to a loud cheer from the fans as the lights switched to the sinister blood red and dark blue before the Bladewolf walked out with the WWF Intercontinental Championship around his waist. Bladewolf stood at the entrance and adjusted his right elbow pad before he made his way towards the ring.
"And their opponent, from Death Valley, weighing 310 lbs, the World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Champion... THE BLADEWOLF!" Howard Finkel announced.
"For 83 days the Bladewolf has been the Intercontinental Champion." JR stated. "He is also the youngest man to hold the title at just twenty on years old. This whole thing didn't really involve him until he felt like involving himself. And the Bladewolf is a current talk of controversy regarding the rumour that he, alongside his brother the Undertaker, are in cahoots with their brother Kane."
"They are! I keep telling you that!" Jerry exclaimed. "And we're going to find out tonight in the Tag Team title match."
The Bladewolf made it to the ring and climbed onto the apron, stepping over the top rope and into the ring. He stares down Triple H and DX, then turns his cold stare to the Rock and the Nation before he takes off his Intercontinental title, handing it to the referee as his theme dies down and the lights return to normal.
Commissioner Slaughter arrives at ringside and orders most of DX and the Nation to go to the back. The only on who remains at ringside is Chyna.
"Commissioner Slaughter, again, making his presence felt is requesting that some folks leave the ringside area." JR said as DX and the Nation leave. "Chyna is the only one that has a license that legally should be here."
The referee holds up the Intercontinental Championship, showing that it's on the line tonight, then hands it to someone at ringside before calling for the bell to begin the match.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
"So here we go." JR said as Triple H, the Rock and the Bladewolf walk forward and stare at each other. "Triple Threat match, with the Intercontinental Championship on the line. Bladewolf, the Champion, defending against the challengers, the Rock and Triple H."
After a couple more seconds of staring each other down, Triple H points at the Rock, then Bladewolf... AND DOES THE DX CHOP TO THEM!
"Oh." Jerry blinked at that.
Pissed, the Rock struck first with a kick to Triple H's stomach, then delivers a right hand before flooring him with a harder right hook. Bladewolf clobbers the Rock from behind with a forearm to the back of the neck, sending the former Intercontinental Champion to his hands and knees. Bladewolf grabs him and drives his knee into the Rock's ribs.
"Oh!" Jerry winced.
"Bladewolf driving his knee into the Rock's ribcage." JR said. Bladewolf stands up and brings his elbow down onto the Rock's back. "And now an elbow to the back."
Bladewolf turns and walks over to Triple H who is getting to his feet, but Bladewolf lands a quick right hand, then rears back and hits a big right hand, keeping Triple H on the middle rope as he punches away at him. Bladewolf flips his hair back and adjusts his right elbow pad before he boots Triple H in the side of the head.
"Oh God!" Jerry exclaimed.
"The Bladewolf beginning to establish dominance as he always does." JR said. Bladewolf kicks the Rock in the Rock in the ribs, making him cough as he clutches his ribs. Bladewolf turns to Triple H who gets to his feet and stumbles back into the corner. "Bladewolf keeping one man own and his focus on the other."
Bladewolf walks over only to get a kick to the stomach by Triple H, who then lands a right hand to the masked face of the Champion, then another, then another, each punch making the Bladewolf back up before the Champion retaliates with a right of his own. Soon enough, the Bladewolf and Triple H are in a slug fest as they exchange right hands, back and forth they go.
Triple H wins the slugfest as he punches the Bladewolf onto the ropes, then Irish whips him towards the ropes. Bladewolf rebounds, ducks a right from Triple H, rebounds off the ropes against and floors Triple H with a clothesline.
"Nice clothesline there." JR complimented.
Bladewolf runs, rebounds off the ropes and hits a running elbow drop to the chest of Triple H.
"Oh! Elbow to the chest." Jerry said.
"Right above the heart." JR nodded.
Bladewolf gets to his feet and turns around into a clothesline from the Rock.
"Clothesline by the Rock." JR stops as Bladewolf sits right up to a cheer from the crowd. "But Bladewolf sits right back up."
"It's scary when he does that!" Jerry exclaimed.
The Rock kicks Bladewolf back down, only for the Champion to sit right back up, then grab the Rock's leg when he goes to kick him again. Bladewolf yanks the Rock down to the mat and starts unloading with a fury of rights, forcing the Rock to cover up to protect himself. But then the Rock rolls them over and unloads with lefts and rights, forcing Bladewolf to cover up now.
"The Rock and the Bladewolf going at it here." JR said. "Only one man can walk away Intercontinental Champion."
The Rock gets off Bladewolf, and both men get to their feet only for the Rock to clothesline Bladewolf back down and quickly go for the cover.
"One-!"
Bladewolf kicks out at one.
The Rock gets to a knee and spots Triple H, quickly landing a right to the leader of DX that knocks him down. The Rock delivers a kick to Bladewolf, then one to Triple H who slowly gets to his feet. The Rock focuses on Triple more as he kicks him, then delivers a right hook that knocks Triple H into the corner. The Rock walks over and lands another right hand, then pulls him out of the corner and drives his head into the top turnbuckle of the opposite corner.
"Oh!" Jerry winced as Triple H falls backs to the mat. "Triple H better start mounting some sort of an offence."
As Triple H crawls to the corner, the Rock walks towards him when Bladewolf comes up from behind, grabs him around the waist, and sends him flying with a release German Suplex.
"Wow!" Jerry shouted.
"Release German Suplex!" JR stated. "That sure sent the Rock flying."
Bladewolf gets to his feet and flips his hair back before he turns and lands a huge right hand to Triple H, then drives his elbow into the side of Triple H's head, followed by a stomp to the right leg, then a stomp to the left, forcing Triple H to sit down in the corner. Bladewolf then delivers slow, hard stomps to the chest of the former European Champion, before gripping him by the hair and lands a big right hand to the forehead.
"The Bladewolf dominating Triple H in the corner." JR said.
Bladewolf pulls Triple H to his feet, then wraps his right arm around the top rope before pulling on it hard, causing Triple H to yell in pain.
"Bladewolf pulling on the arm. The rope burn must be stinging Triple H's skin." JR said. Bladewolf rears back and then lands a big right hand to where the shoulder and arm meet. "Oh!"
Triple H falls to a knee, clutching his arm in pain. Bladewolf watches him, then brings his forearm down across the back of Triple H, followed by driving his knee into Triple H's side.
"The Bladewolf marking his territory here." JR said, making Jerry chuckle.
"Marking his territory, I got that." He laughed.
The Rock comes up behind Bladewolf and whirls him around, landing a right punch, then another, only to get an uppercut that knocks him back. He rolls to his feet only to be met with a huge clothesline by the Intercontinental Champion.
"What a clothesline." JR said.
Bladewolf looks down at the Rock for a moment before he turns to return his attention to Triple H, only for the DX leader to surge out the corner and knock the Champion down with a clothesline.
"Oh!" Jerry exclaimed.
"The Bladewolf took his eye off his prey for a moment, and now Helmsley is getting in his shots." JR said.
"Triple H almost took his head off." Jerry added.
Bladewolf gets to his feet only to get taken down with another clothesline. He got to his feet quick, but Triple H Irish whips him off the ropes into the opposite ropes, Bladewolf rebounds off only to be floored with an elbow to his masked face. Triple H sees the Rock coming and floors him with an elbow to the face.
"And now the Rock." JR said.
Triple H looks between the men, then focuses on the Rock who is leaning between the top and middle rope, and forces the Rock's neck into the middle rope until the referee calls him off and warns him about it. With the referee's back turns, Chyna walks up to the Rock and lands a big right hand.
"Chyna with a right hand to the Rock." JR said. "That is a significant advantage."
Triple H walks past the referee and pulls the Rock to his feet, then Irish whips him but the Rock reverses it. Triple H bounces off the ropes and the Rock bends down to flip Triple H over but Triple H stops as he grabs the Rock, hooks the arms in preparation for the Pedigree.
"Triple H!" JR shouted. "He's gonna hook up the Pedigree!" The Rock grabs Triple H's legs and send shim overhead and onto his back. "But the Rock countered in a back body drop."
"The Rock is too strong for that. It's too early in the match." Jerry said. The Rock, runs rebounds off the ropes, and charges towards Triple H who sidesteps and sends the Rock over the top rope and down to the floor. "Look out!"
"Rock tossed over the top here." JR said.
As Triple H takes a breather for a moment, the Rock makes it to his feet only to be blindsided by Bladewolf who had rolled out of the ring earlier and waited for his chance to strike.
"And Bladewolf! Blindsiding the Rock!" JR said. Triple H gets out the ring and slowly walks over, watching. "And Triple H, I think he wants to let the two of them hurt each other."
Bladewolf rears back and lands a big right hand, sending the Rock stumbling up the walkway a bit. Bladewolf follows him, and Triple H is behind him. The Rock turns into a right hand from Bladewolf, making him stumble and go towards Triple H, who lands a right hand, sending the Rock stumbling to Bladewolf who lands a right hand, knocking him towards Triple H who lands a right.
"Triple H and the Bladewolf, a temporary alliance it seems." JR said. "And they're taking their shots in on the Rock."
Bladewolf scoops the Rock up and slams him to the floor.
"And a slam out here, right on the floor." JR said.
Bladewolf grabs the Rock and sends him into the metal railing, allowing Triple H to get in some kicks and punches on the former Intercontinental Champion before pulling him away and back towards the ring with Bladewolf following behind. Triple H sends the Rock into the ring, but the Rock rolls out through the other side of the ring.
"The Rock out here right in front of us." JR said.
Triple H walks one way, and Bladewolf takes the other. When the Rock looks up, he finds Triple H blocking one way, and turns to see Bladewolf blocking the other.
"And the Rock, like a trapped animal." JR said.
Bladewolf punches the Rock in the stomach, then grabs the back of his head and rams it off the announce table. The Rock stumbles backwards, and Triple H clobbers the back of his head with a forearm, sending the Rock stumbling around to the left side of the ring. Bladewolf turns and knocks Triple H down with a big right hand.
"oh!" Jerry exclaimed. "Well, so much for that alliance."
"Triple Threat rules, only one can walk away Champion. And I doubt Bladewolf wants to lose that title." JR said.
Bladewolf walks over to the Rock who is getting to his feet now. Bladewolf grabs him and then looks towards the steel steps, then goes to Irish whip him but the Rock reverses... AND SENDS BLADEWOLF INTO THE STEEL STEPS!
"Oh!" Jerry winced.
"Bladewolf reversed right into the steps." JR said. Bladewolf laid on the floor, half leaning on the steel steps.
The Rock walks over and delivers a stomp to Bladewolf's side, with the Champion slowly getting to his feet only to be met with a right hand that knocks him back against the ring apron. The Rock grabs him and hooks him up, looking back at the steel steps, then lifts Bladewolf off his feet... AND HITS A SNAP SUPLEX RIGHT ONTO THE STEEL STEPS!
"Oh my God!" Jerry's eyes widened.
"Snap Suplex right onto the steel steps!" JR said. "That was 310 lbs that the Rock managed to lift off the ground and bring down onto the steel steps."
Triple H walks over and goes to clobber the Rock, but the Rock ducks it and kicks Triple H in the stomach. The Rock then brings Triple H over to the metal railing, lifts him up... AND DROPS HIM CHEST-FIRST INTO THE METAL!
"Oh." Jerry winced.
The Rock looks over the steel steps, seeing Bladewolf still down and recovering from the snap suplex onto the steel steps, and focuses his full attention on Triple H for now. The Rock pulls the man to his feet, then rams his head right off the ring apron, then rears him back and does it again. Triple H slowly rolls back into the ring and the Rock follows him.
'Rocky sucks! Rocky sucks! Rocky sucks!' The crowd chanted.
The Rock ignores them as he focuses on Triple H, landing a right hand that knocks him into the corner, then lands another right hand that makes Triple H sit on the bottom turnbuckle. The Rock lands another big right hand to Triple H's head, then pulls him to his feet and Irish whips him into the opposite corner hard.
"Hard whip." JR stated. Triple H stumbles forward only to get a hard knockdown clothesline. "Knockdown."
The Rock hooks the leg.
"Now the Rock looking for the three." JR said.
"One!"
"Two!"
"Thre-!"
Triple H kicks out at two.
"And it's two." JR said.
The Rock gets to his feet as Triple H moves into the corner, but the former Intercontinental Champion stomps away at him with slow, hard stomps to the chest. Then, the Rock forces Triple H's neck on the bottom rope and puts pressure down, choking Triple H. The referee gets involved and warns the Rock off, but the Rock ignores him though does stop choking Triple H.
"The Rock is in the driver's seat at this point in time." JR said.
"Wait, look!" Jerry pointed.
The Bladewolf had rolled into the ring and sized up the Rock with his right hand ready and waiting. The cheering crowd caught the Rock's attention and he turned around... INTO A GOOZLE!
"Bladewolf has him!" JR exclaimed.
"Oh no!" Jerry shouted.
Bladewolf lifts him up off his feet... AND PLANTS HIM WITH A CHOKESLAM!
"Chokeslam! Chokeslam!" JR shouted.
Bladewolf flips his hair back and does the throatslit gesture to a cheer from the fans before he grabs Triple H and scoops him up onto his right shoulder.
"Bladewolf looking to end this!" JR said.
Bladewolf gets Triple H into position upside down in front of him and then... HITS THE TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!
"Oh! The Tombstone Piledriver!" JR exclaimed. Bladewolf holds the arms down for the cover and flips his hair back to glare ahead. "And now the cover!"
"One!"
"Two!"
"Three! Ring the bell!" The referee called.
'Ding! Ding! Ding!'
The Devil's Wolf plays as Bladewolf lays on his knees and elbows. "Here is your winner and STILL World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Champion... THE BLADEWOLF!"
"The Bladewolf retains the title!" JR said. "Once again, the Bladewolf defends the Intercontinental title!"
"Wow..." Jerry said.
Bladewolf gets to his feet and flips his hair back, glaring around with his dark brown eyes seen in the eyeholes of the mask.
"He may just be walking into SummerSlam, the event he debuted at last year, as Intercontinental Champion." JR said.
"Well, as someone once said, what a difference a year makes." Jerry shrugged.
The referee hands Bladewolf his title, and he drapes it over his left shoulder. Bladewolf then leaves the ring and makes his way to the back.
And that's it for this chapter. Man, twenty chapters in, and we're at least partially through 1998. But hey, at least Bladewolf has been on every RAW following WrestleMania, bar one which was the RAW before Fully Loaded.
Hope you enjoyed.
