Chapter 6: Jealousy

Sasuke was furious, no scratch that, he was beyond livid. He was downright pissed. Oh was everyone wondering why his rage was greater than the rage of the titans? The answer was simple and was named Sakura fucking Haruno.

You see the reason why Sasuke was so furious is because Naruto was openly flirting with the pink-haired bimbo right in front of him. The same Naruto who had crushed on Sasuke but suddenly seemed over him. The same Naruto who acted like he didn't exist.

'Oh hell no, he did not just let that bitch kiss him on the cheek for the umpteenth time!' thought Sasuke lividly to himself while glaring daggers at the happy couple.

Okay let's rewind a bit incase you're confused.

Earlier that same day.

Sasuke woke up feeling the usual fatigue he felt every morning after he started his dialysis treatment. He checked the alarm clock and saw that it was after ten and whistled lowly at how long he slept.

It has been two weeks since the end of the first semester and Sasuke spent every day single of the holidays sleeping in which is something he has come to deeply enjoy.

He decided to check his messages and saw that he received one from both Kiba and Naruto asking him if he wanted to catch a movie with the gang tonight and get something to eat afterwards. After he begrudgingly agreed and asked what time, he set his phone aside just as he heard a knock on his bedroom door.

Deidara popped his head in and looked at him sheepishly.

"Uhm morning Sas, I just wanted to ask if you wanna join me, 'Tachi and Shiro at the park? You don't even have to stay long, only an hour or two," he asked with pleading eyes.

The raven sighed loudly and nodded his head causing Deidara to beam up and run off to tell Itachi he agreed.

Deciding that it was time to get up, Sasuke got up and after making his bed, he took his things to the bathroom and began to run his bath water.

While brushing his teeth, he started thinking about Naruto.

After Sasuke decided two weeks ago that he finally wanted to give dating Naruto a chance, the blond haired teen started acting a bit distant with him. They would hang out how they usually did but there was no flirting, to subtle touching, no cheek kissing, nothing. It was as if Naruto's feelings for him just disappeared.

Sasuke wasn't too stubborn to admit that ever since he met Naruto, he's always felt a pull toward him. There was always an attraction but after he got sick, the raven had other things to worry about other than romance. And even though there were other things to worry about, Naruto was someone that just managed to worm into his heart and find a special place there.

But everything was different now. Naruto was being all nonchalant while Sasuke was the one who felt like his emotions for the other was bursting at the seams.

The raven teen spat out the remainder of toothpaste in his mouth and rinsed his mouth before turning the faucet for the tub off. He sighed sadly before striping his clothes off and getting into the tub.

Hissing when the hot water burned at his butt crack, he slowly sunk into the water and began to ponder on Naruto again.

How long could he take this new attitude of Naruto's towards him before he just grabbed the teen and kissed him with all his might?

To be honest, the raven didn't think he could take another day.

Sasuke and Itachi laughed out loud as Deidara tripped on an invisible rock and fell face first onto the grass. Shiro screamed dramatically and ran over to check if his uncle was okay only to find the blond man glaring daggers at the two older Uchiha men.

"You guys are such ass faces un," he said once getting up and dusting himself off.

"Oh please you looked like a freaking retard tripping over thin air," said Sasuke with a smirk while his smiling brother punched him lightly on the shoulder for calling his man a retard even though he agreed with his brother's words.

"Hmpf I curse all you Uchiha men that not a day shall pass without one of you falling in public yeah," said Deidara with his arms crossed.

"That's very unlikely babe since you know we aren't clumsy," replied Itachi while taking a puff from his cigarette.

Just as he said that, the three man heard a thud and saw Shirosuke sprawled flat on the floor like a deer on a car hood.

Sasuke sighed and went to fetch his son who got up surprisingly fast for someone falling so hard.

"Hey buddy are you okay?" asked Sasuke while checking if his son had any scrapes on him. After finding none, he picked him up and kissed him on top off his head.

"No I'm fine daddy. The grass was just slippy over there," he said even though his eyes appeared watery. Sasuke held his son tighter and gave him sloppy kisses on his cute round cheeks causing the boy to squeal in delight.

They walked back to the bench and Sasuke immediately hit Deidara over the head.

"I can't believe you cursed my son you evil witch," he said while glaring at the blond man.

"I cursed the two of you for laughing at me not my little adorable nephew," he said while cooing at Shiro who blushed and hid his face on the side of Sasuke's neck. This caused Sasuke's glare to all but dissappear as a smile graced his features.

"No offense babe but you definitely said 'all Uchiha men'," said Itachi while making the quotation marks with his fingers causing Deidara to dive towards him and tackle him off the bench.

Sasuke turned to look at his two brothers wrestling and laughing on the ground and smiled gently at their antics.

"Thanks for taking me out today guys. The fresh air really helped," he said sincerely causing the two men to stare at him with their jaws on the ground.

Itachi recovered quicker and let out a small cough to try and bring his boyfriend out of his current stupor.

"It's no problem little brother plus we could tell you've been upset these past few weeks. Anything you wanna talk about?" asked Itachi softly as he and Deidara got up to sit back on the bench.

Sasuke looks at his brother in his eyes and tried to say something but when the words wouldn't come out, he shook his head and look down.

"It's nothing guys," he said and suddenly found the grass very interesting.

"It's because of Naruto isn't it?" asked Deidara causing Itachi to roughly nudge him for his bluntness.

Sasuke immediately whipped his head up at the mention of the blonds name and after seeing the concern in both of their eyes, he sighed.

"I don't know what to do about us. He's been interested in something with me this whole time and now when I want to pursue something with him, he seems like he's over me," said Sasuke quietly.

Itachi reached over Deidara and placed a hand gently on his brother's knee.

"Sasuke how do you know he's over you?" he started but when Sasuke looked like he was about to say something, he gave him a look.

"No hear me out okay. The man had been into you for like six months, he's there constantly by us and you've never reciprocated his feelings. I mean come on, he knows you've been going through a rough time but honestly speaking, there's only so much patience a guy can have."

"Itachi's right Sasuke. The man would do anything for you and more if you just gave in. I feel like he's just finally realized that he's not gonna get anything other than friendship from you and has accepted that," said Deidara with a sigh.

"Don't get us wrong or anything little brother, we really like Naruto and think he's perfect for you. But if you really want something to happen between the two of you, you'll probably have to take the initiative since it's in the open that he has or may still have feelings for you even if he doesn't show it," ended Itachi and Deidara nodded in agreement.

Sighing once more, the raven teen looked down at his son who had been listening intently to their conversation. He knew Shirosuke adored and idolized Naruto.

As if sensing that his father was looking at him, Shiro looked up and into his father's eyes and tried to tell him how much he wanted his father to be with Naruto-nii through a single look.

Sasuke smiled and have him a kiss on the head after pulling him into a warm embrace.

"I dunno when I'll be able to get him alone to ask him but I will so don't worry about us okay guys," he said and they all nodded. Shiro hugged his father tighter while Deidara decided to rest his head on his boyfriend's shoulder.

After a few minutes of peaceful silence, Sasuke turned to the couple.

"You really did look like an idiot when you fell earlier," he said with a light laugh.

"Oh shut up," replied Deidara with a glare while Itachi laughed at the memory.

Sasuke was almost done getting ready when he heard the doorbell and Deidara running to the front.

He looked at himself in the mirror one last time and smirked triumphantly. After turning back to spray on some more cologne, he opened the door and walked to the living room.

Kiba and Naruto were busy sitting on the couch busy watching Itachi play God of War 2. He was fighting Zeus and it was a tough battle.

When Naruto felt someone come into the lounge, he turned and his eyes grew wide.

Sasuke was wearing a pair of tight black jeans with a black and white t-shirt that just hugged him in all the right places. He had on some ankle length black boots and a leather jacket that did strange things to Naruto. Talk about sex on legs.

Kiba coughed when he saw Naruto staring which caused the blond haired teen to blush and rub the back of his neck.

"Uh you look amazing Sasuke," he said with a growing blush.

"You look great too," replied Sasuke after checking the blond out and he tried to be a bit obvious.

Naruto was wearing a faded blue jean that was ripped a bit by the knees, an orange shirt that had a cartoon character on the front with white sneakers. He also had on a light blue baseball jacket and he had his signature pendant on his neck.

Great was definitely an understatement. Sasuke though he looked smokin' hot.

"Uhm anyways guys, we have to get going now. I told the gang that we'll meet them there at seven so we have about forty minutes to get there. You two can check each other out all you want at the movies," said Kiba while rolling his eyes at their antics.

The two men blushed at being caught oogling each other and after waving goodbye, they shared one last look before getting into the car and driving off.

The three of them arrived at the meeting spot with exactly one minute and twenty seven seconds to spare, Neji was keeping count.

When they got out of the car, Sasuke immediately noticed that there some new faces amongst their group of friends.

After greeting the gang, the raven stood next to Gaara while waiting for someone to introduce the new people to him.

There was a guy clad in green with the bushiest eyebrows in the entire world no scratch that more like the entire universe, two really slutty looking girls one with platinum blond hair and the other with bubblegum pink and a really pale guy who had the most fakest smile plastered on his face. He inwardly cringed.

"Yo Sasuke come over here, I don't think you've met these guys before," said Naruto beckoning him over.

"Guys this is Sasuke, he's my best friend now," he started and heard Kiba gasp dramatically causing everyone to laugh.

"Sasuke this is Lee, Ino, Sakura and Sai. We went to high school together but they attend at a different colleges," he ended and after they traded pleasantries, Sasuke went to go stand back by Gaara.

The red head and him got along surprisingly well even though they were both the silent types. They were both adopted by men that put them in that 'industry'. He also got along with Shikamaru fairly well because the man was really intelligent and he admired him for that. Also they had alot in common in terms of knowledge so he felt very comfortable talking to him.

"Anyways guys what movie are we gonna watch and if anyone says chick flick, you're dead," said Naruto while playfully glaring at everyone while they laughed at him since they did indeed watch a chick flick the last time they had a movie night.

The group took a few minutes to look at the selection of movies and after much debate and alot of arguing that even had a few employees laughing at how dumb their responses were, they decided to watch The Conjuring. Almost all of them had never watched the movie, the exception being Gaara, Neji and Hinata.

"Oh my goodness I'm so freaking excited," said Naruto while they waited outside.

The movie was to start in ten minutes but they had to wait for the movie in VIP to finish before they could go in.

"My youthful friends, we should all go to the bathroom to relieve ourselves before we go into the theater so that we don't do it in there," he said and everyone nodded and marched to the bathrooms. It was scary in there as it is, imagine going there after watching a horror movie, yeesh.

After using the bathroom, Sasuke waited patiently for the guys to finish up while checking his phone. He had a few messages from Itachi which was just him boasting that he killed Zeus and that he was gonna play God of War 3 now. He also got three messages from Dei which were just some pics of the three of them in the lounge, his son's eyes were shining so brightly that it caused him to smile.

"I wonder who's the lucky person who can make you smile like that," said Naruto out of the blue successfully startling Sasuke.

"Jeeze how long have you been staring at me?" he asked and Naruto smiled mischievously.

"Long enough, anyways you still haven't answered my question."

"Dei sent me a few pics of the three of them having fun at home and Shiro just looked so excited so I couldn't help myself," he said while showing him the pics.

The two men smiled while looking at the pics and then when Sasuke decided to look up, his face was a few inches away from Naruto's.

It felt like deja vu when they looked into each other's eyes. Before they knew it, they both started subconsciously leaning in and when their lips were just about to touch, Sakura burst into the men's bathroom effectively pulling them out of whatever trance they were in.

"Even grannies are faster than you slow ass bitches! Hurry up, the movie is about to start!" she yelled and went out. All the guys groaned as they were busy doing something, some were smoking, texting, taking pics or exercising (okay that was only Lee).

Sasuke gave Naruto a look that said that he wanted to continue this later and blond just smiled back with a blush on his face.

The guys finally met up with the girls who were busy buying snacks and drinks.

"About damn time!" yelled Ino when she saw them walk in. They all shrugged and after taking their snacks, they walked silently to their mental doom.

Towards the middle of the movie, they were at the scene where Lorraine was looking at the tree outside and the sheet blew off the washing line to the wall and there looked like there was a person underneath it.

Everybody screamed and Sasuke felt a hand grip his arm. He turned and saw Naruto holding onto him while staring intently at the screen. He would close his eyes real tight when a scary part was about to come and open it just as it happens and then squeeze Sasuke's arm real tight.

The raven found this beyond adorable and when the azure eyed teen finally felt someone's eyes on him, he turned and looked Sasuke right in the eyes. He then looked at where he was gripping Sasuke and blushed.

"Oh sorry about that, this movie is just scary as fuck," he said sheepishly and Sasuke had a tiny smile on his mouth.

"Yeah it's the scariest movie I've seen yet," he replied slowly as he was too focused on the way Naruto was biting his lower lip.

Naruto caught on to where the stoic teen was staring and leaned in closer. He reached forward and brushed a stray bang behind Sasuke's ear causing a light shiver to ripple through him. He then cupped Sasuke's face gently and the man leaned into the touch.

"Naruto I..." he started but the blond haired teen was having none of it and silenced him with a sudden kiss that felt like it turned his whole body to mush.

He felt the lips kiss his curiously with some uncertainty and that's when Sasuke started kissing him back gently.

With Sasuke reciprocating his advance, Naruto started to thread his hand into the raven's hair while Sasuke put a hand at the back of Naruto's neck.

The kiss was slow and experimental but both boys felt like they were on fire. They kissed until the need for air became vital or else they'd die from suffocation. They looked at each other tenderly after breaking apart while trying to catch their breaths.

The two men both started blushing and turned to watch the movie again but not before Naruto placed his hand reassuringly on Sasuke's thigh.

The rest of the movie was nothing but a blur for Sasuke Uchiha.

Okay now that everyone is on back on track, back to why the prologue was introduced.

After the movie was over, everyone walked out feeling like they shouldn't have ever watched that movie since they knew they wouldn't be able to sleep tonight or any other night as a matter of fact.

"Who's idea was it again for us to watch that nightmare?" asked Choji while looking over his shoulder.

"It was my idea but I didn't think you guys would seriously want to watch it," said Gaara while leaning against the wall with one foot propped up against it.

They all turned to glare at him to which he replied by graciously flipping them the bird causing both Naruto and Kiba to scream 'fuck you' at him.

Everyone then agreed that it was time to get something to eat and that they should eat in a place with more than enough light so that they can feel at ease.

After a few minutes of waking around and looking for a decent place, they found a bar that was just what they were looking for. It had food, drinks and was bright enough. Check, check and check.

Once inside, they divided their group into two since one rounded booth could only take seven people. Booth one was Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Sai, Gaara, Ino and Shikamaru and booth two was Neji, Ten Ten, Lee, Kiba, Hinata, Shino and Choji.

Sasuke ordered himself a non-alcoholic cocktail since he stopped drinking alcohol altogether and got himself a beef burger with limited seasonings and only a single slice of tomato (oh how it hurt to only have a little of his beloved tomatoes and how he wished it was a cheat day). Everyone then ordered and while waiting for their stuff, they all engaged in light chatter.

In booth one, Sasuke was sitting by the edge next to Gaara who was next to Shikamaru, then Sai, Ino, Sakura and then Naruto on the other edge. Sakura had her arm on Naruto's bicep and was clearly flirting with him while Naruto ran his hand up her thigh. There was the occasional biting of earlobes and they would whisper things in each other's ear and laugh which caused the raven to glare daggers at them.

'Does Naruto have no fucking shame?' thought the teen Uchiha to himself as he witnessed some more cheek pecking.

Weren't they just kissing not long ago in the cinema and now he was acting like nothing happened at all? Like he was invisible again. He felt a tug on his sleeve and turned with a glare that would even kill a vampire.

"Woah what the heck man?" asked Shikamaru boredly with his hands raised. Sasuke still looked at him to speak his mind and the genius sighed.

"You were looking at them like you expected her to combust from your glare."

"And your point is?" asked Sasuke snarkily.

"Naruto and Sakura have been in the same class since elementary school and he's always had a crush on her. She was never interested in him and dated the cool guys like Sai amongst others. Anyways my point is that Naruto outgrew his crush on her and long story short, they're now really good friends," said the lazy genius with his head now laying on the table.

Sasuke actually rolled his eyes and gave him a look that said 'yeah their friends alright' and took a swig at the first drink he could grab which unfortunately happened to be Gaara's untouched tequila shot.

As soon as he swallowed it, Sasuke knew right away that he had done something stupid and he looked down to see Shikamaru and Gaara staring at him with mild shock.

"Are you feeling okay?" asked Gaara first when he saw the first drop of sweat rolled down.

"Uh I'm not sure, I feel really weird though," started Sasuke but got up when he felt the first wave of nausea hit him.

Gaara and Shikamaru got up to follow the raven who now bolted towards the bathroom. The gang looked at the duo for answers but Shikamaru merely shrugged and the two of them went to the bathroom.

Once Sasuke ran inside, he immediately started hurling and narrowly avoided throwing up on the floor. There was thankfully no one inside so he threw up into the nearest toilet to his heart's content. He heard the bathroom door open and heard Gaara call for him just as he threw up again.

People on dialysis can sometimes have the occasional drink but he knew how sensitive his body was to certain things so he had been careful to avoid anything alcohol related.

Sasuke heard a knock on his stall and he replied by saying that he'd out in a minute. After he was sure that he wouldn't throw up again, he stood up although shakily and walked out looking as normal as he could.

The two friends looked at his attempt at composure with concern and waited for him to rinse his mouth before he spoke.

"Sasuke if you're not feeling okay, I can give you a lift home?" asked Gaara sincerely and the raven merely nodded.

Shikamaru left shortly after that, probably to go tell the gang that the three of them were leaving.

Not even two seconds later, Naruto barged into the bathroom to find Gaara standing next to Sasuke while said man was leaning heavily against the counter.

"Sasuke what happened?" he asked in panic-stricken manner and Gaara merely gave him a disappointed look.

"He's not feeling okay at the moment so I'm taking him home, you can go back to the group it's no problem," replied the red head bluntly and started steering Sasuke out the door who was currently in a daze.

"What the fuck Gaara? Why are you acting like this?" asked the blond exasperatedly.

"It's nothing Naruto, now let us go now."

Naruto looked like he was gonna protest but that's when Shikamaru came back with their food in take-away bags.

The blond then gave Gaara a look to dare him to leave without him before angrily running back to the group faster than the speed of light.

The three men walked out and when they heard Sakura and Ino laughing about Sasuke not being able to control his liquor, Gaara felt like going to kill them.

He heard Naruto saying something to them that shut them up immediately but was too far to hear any actually words, not that he actually gave a fuck about that at the moment.

When Naruto finally caught up with them, Sasuke was already passed out on the back seat and he could see a puddle of vomit next to the car. Shikamaru was taking a smoke outside while Gaara was sitting on the car hood and staring at nothing in particular.

The two men got into the front of the car when they spotted Naruto while the blond took a seat in the back. He had to lift the raven up a bit so his head rested on his lap before sitting down comfortably.

Gaara turned to look at the two in the back with his hand paused on the ignition and gave the blond a pointed look before starting the car and with that, he drove off.

After driving for a few minutes in silence, Naruto couldn't take the suffocating atmosphere anymore and exploded.

"Is anyone gonna tell me what the fuck is going on?! Why you guys are giving me the cold shoulder and what is wrong with Sasuke?! " he asked clearly annoyed and angry.

"You can be so dense sometimes Naruto. Don't you think some of us saw you guys eating each other's faces at the movies and when we think you guys are finally gonna get together, what do you do? You openly flirt and act all intimate with Sakura right infront of Sasuke," said Shikamaru distastefully.

Naruto's eyes widened and he looked down at the sleeping man on his lap.

"It's not like that guy's, you know how Sakura and I act around each other..." he started but was cut off by Gaara.

"Yes we all know since we have to watch that everytime you two get together but it was Sasuke's first time seeing you guys interact and it looked like you were a couple."

"And don't think we haven't noticed you acting all distant with Sasuke so explain yourself," said Shikamaru when Naruto looked like he was going to protest again.

"Guys you know how I feel about Sasuke but he's clearly not interested..." started Naruto causing Gaara to scoff loudly.

"Naruto listen to me, you're an idiot if you think Sasuke is not into you. Yeah so he's had some things to deal with over the past six months but ever since the start of the school break, he's been looking like he finally wanted to give you a shot but nooooo. You decide to start ignoring him when he's finally willing to give you a chance. Now what we want to know is why you're acting all distant with him and why you're acting like you're over him?" asked Shikamaru while opening the window so he can smoke again.

Naruto sighed and a wave of sadness flashed through his eyes that didn't go unnoticed by Gaara who saw it through the rear view mirror.

"Guys you have no idea how much I want Sasuke to be mines, how much I want to be able to touch him or kiss him whenever I want. It was on the first day of the break when I realized that I wanted him more than air itself no matter how cheesy that may sound. When I saw him that day in the shower, I realized that I wanted him, all of him. His rage, happiness, sadness, joy, pain, pleasure, I wanted it all for myself. And when that emotion started to suffocate me, I started to realize that I really love him and that scared me especially since I believed that he wanted nothing more than friendship," he said sadly feeling a few stray tears fall.

"So I started distancing myself even though it was killing me on the inside to not be near him. Everytime I looked at him, my heart yearned for him so badly that it physically hurt. I value him too much to lose him so I decided that if I can't have him romantically, I can at least have him as my friend as painful as that is for me," he finished softly but both men in the front heard him.

They drove in silence after that, no one really knowing what to say after Naruto's confession until Sasuke started groaning and tried to sit up slowly.

"Hey are you feeling better now?" the red head asked him while keeping his eyes on the road and he muttered a response although feeling a bit disorientated.

Sasuke turned and when his eyes met Naruto's, he felt some of his earlier rage come back full force. Naruto gave him a pleading look and after much hesitance, he sighed and nodded.

They were definitely gonna talk later or hell would freeze over.

After a few minutes of painfully uncomfortable silence, they finally arrived at the Uchiha residence and after bidding Gaara and Shikamaru a farewell, Naruto and Sasuke both stepped nervously into the house.
