Heal and Gaining Trust Part 3

Leo had traveled with the Ladies Of The Shade for a week and a half. They always get up around seven or eight o'clock in the morning to pack things up and set out where they arrive at a new destination in the late afternoon. Because of his injuries, Leo had to sit in a cart for the twins push around. He was given some scrolls to read on the road. Song has kept an eye on him each night when he's in bed with her. During the day, Leo had to keep himself a little busy by taking walks, reading scrolls and helping out with The Ladies Of The Shade sometime. At the end of the day, Leo watched the ladies to practice their dance rehearsal each night. He'll admit it was good, but the young man kept his guard up.

At the end of the first week, Lirong visited Leo in Song's tent. She performed another examination on him and Leo is recovering nicely right now. He saw Enya each night to taunt him. The young man couldn't do anything against her. And he couldn't risk battling her. Leo knew they were getting close to the Valley Of Peace. They were only a couple days until they reach the Valley because they were a big group. During the second half of the week, Leo can feel his strength returning, but still in pain because of his broken ribs. It was going to be another few more weeks of rest before his strength is fully recovered.

Leo was relieved to hear Kaira's voice again in his mind after the nurse visited him at the end of last week. He was only a couple of hours away from the Valley Of Peace by going in alone. Leo tells Song he'll be taking a long walk to a tree he knows.

Once Leo was far away from the Ladies Of The Shade, he spreads his fiery wings and flew high into the sky. He was far above the bamboo forest and flew to the Valley Of Peace. The Valley Of Peace was in sight and he had to fly much higher to avoid being spotted by the villagers, Crane or Zeng.

"This should be far and good enough to avoid getting spotted from anyone." Leo thought. "It's good thing I studied Crane and Zeng's flight patterns."

He saw a angry mobs of villagers heading to the Jade Palace. Leo became curious and flew to the stairxase. The young man landed behind the boulder and started listening to the angry mob.

"Wait till I get my hands on that panda!"

"Why are the croc bandits calling Po their leader?!"

"Hm?" Leo thought. "Po's a leader of the croc bandits? Damnit. The phone and sword will have to wait. I can't risk myself being exposed out in public. Time to head out."

Leo dives off the boulder and flew to the bamboo forest. He landed in the bamboo forest and approached an abandoned house. Leo approaches the chest to open it. Inside it was a second Black Spirit uniform that he bought months ago during the kung fu ban. Leo removes the uniform from the chest and puts it on. With the uniform on, Leo made his way back to the village as The Black Spirit.

Leo made it back to the village and was running on the rooftiles of the buildings. It reminded him how he patroled Wuji City at night. The young man kept himself distant from the citizens below. He saw Fung trying to leave with Po until they were confronted by Tigress and Crane.

Leo watched Crane was taken out before Po started to fight Tigress.

The Black Spirit lands in between them and punches the Dragon Warrior's fists and delivers a powerful headbutt. The attack stuns Po, giving The Black Spirit to deliver a palm strike to the abdomen. The Dragon Warrior was sent flying a couple feet away from them and landed in front of Fung and Gahri.

Po groans and shakes his head. He glares at The Black Spirit. "I'll deal with you when we meet again!" he shouted as all three of them escaped.

The Black Spirit was about to go after them, but it winces in pain.

"Son of a bitch!" Leo cursed in his mind as he felt pain from his broken ribs.

"Hey, are you okay?" Tigress approaches The Black Spirit to check up on it.

The Black Spirit turns its head to the orange feline and backs away from her, getting into a fighting stance. Leo raises his head to the sky, prevent to make a sound to escape from his mouth.

"Are you in pain?" Crane asked it.

The Black Spirit didn't respond and threw down a smoke bomb. The smoke clears and The Black Spirit disappeared before them.

Song was doing some practice with the other leopardesses. They were practicing a new routine for a while now. The twins wanted to play a game checkers with Leo, but he already left. Lirong was walking out of her tent and saw Leo outside of their camp, wincing as he clutches his broken ribs.

"Leo!" Lirong exclaims.

Song and the dancers stops dancing and notices Leo. The leader and the nurse rushes to the injured human.

"Leo, what happened?"

"I got jumped by Po and the crocs, but they didn't rob me."

"Why is Po with the croc bandits? Is that why you so long?"

"Yes. I don't know why Po is with the croc bandits or why they're calling him their leader." Leo answered. "And there's something else as well."

"We'll talk in my tent." Song tells him.

The ladies watches the three of them enters Song's tent, followed by Chyou and Ehuang. Leo thought about telling them the truth of how he got these injuries in the first place. He turns to face the four leopardesses.

"Leo, do you have something to tell us?" Song looks at him.

"Yes. I need to tell you on how I got these injuries and the broken ribs." Leo answered.

"So what happened before I found you?"

Leo began to explain everything; the newly appointed Emperor of China, Pang Bing, Zane and Higure and the fate of his friends. He didn't trust the Ladies Of The Shade for the next few days, but after being in their care, the young man trusts them all. Leo didn't mention Enya or Kaira. When Leo was finished, the four leopardesses were surprised and shocked.

"I can't believe it." Chyou sits down in a chair.

"Leo, we would never do anything to hurt you." Song said to human. "And I'm glad that you trust us. But to hear that Shifu, The Furious Five, The Dragon Warrior and your friends are under Pang Bing's or Zane's control."

"And this could be a trap that they're doing right now at the Valley Of Peace." Leo lowered his head.

Lirong and Ehuang looks at each other concerned.

"Leo, what if this isn't a trap?" Song asked him. "What if things are back to normal?"

"We'll find out tomorrow before I retrieve the diamond sword and my iPhone."

"Are you sure you want to go into exile after you find Zane? What if everyone's minds weren't being controlled permanently?"

Leo didn't give her an answer and looks away from Song. He couldn't be too sure about it. He looks back at her. "You and I will worry about that later tomorrow, Song."

"Fine." The snow leopardess nodded her head.

"I need to see you don't have any permanent damage, Leo." Lirong approaches him.

Nighttime came and everyone was sitting around the campfires. Leo watched the ladies hung out with each other. He closes his eyes and reopens them to find himself standing before Kaira. The gate was closed tightly. The White-Tail Beast looks at him.

"I must admit you did your best to fight against Zane and Enya." Kaira said.

"I know. I couldn't let Zane die that easily because he has information on my parents."

"And you couldn't risk being covered in fire as well." Kaira added.

"The secret side of me is something I will never let them see. I feel the rage, and I just can't hold it." Leo said.

"You did well in your battle against a Higure member, human. But he and Enya almost defeated you to extract me. It was a risky move to do the lightning technique, even if you did cause the explosion. I never met this Zane before until now."

"So he's a new recruit then. I didn't think he would get me with a magic circle."

"He was informed about me and Enya."

"This just keeps getting better." Leo rolls his eyes.

"You wished."

"Hey, it's why I keep training everyday and I need to train much harder if I'm going to battle Zane." Leo crossed his arms.

"It's obvious that he had help to setup that magic circle to trap you." Karia replied. "You're going to need my help again, but I still don't trust you and I still plan to kill you."

"Why am I not surprised." Leo lets out an annoyed sigh. The young man closes his eyes and reopens them to see himself standing outside of Song's tent. Letting out a tired yawn, Leo steps inside song's tent to get some sleep.

The next day, Leo and Song left the camp and was outside the outskirts of the village. They had to hide behind a tree trunk. Leo left Song to head to the Jade Palace. He spreads his fiery wings and flew into the sky. When he was close, Leo lands on the roof and climbs down to the ground. He took a peek to see Shifu, Panther, Jie, Kiba, Kuo and The Furious Five in the Hall Of Heroes and listened on their conversation.

"So Po thinks he's a..." Shifu looks at Crane.

"A crocodile bandit."

The red panda sighed and nodded his head. "For the good of the Valley Of Peace, we must stop Po. Find Po. Hit him hard and hit him fast. Bring him down." Shifu ordered. "Then we'll find a way to restore his memories."

"Dreams really do come true." Tigress smiled. Her comment causes the rest of her team to look at her.

"What about The Black Spirit?" Jie asked Shifu.

"The Black Spirit did come on time to attack the Dragon Warrior, but it didn't go after Po and the bandits." The avian explains. "It looks like The Black Spirit was in pain. And it looks like that it was about to fight Tigress too, but it didn't. It escaped."

"Hm." Shifu strokes his beard and looks at Panther. She was quiet today. "Panther, I want you and Blake to find The Black Spirit and help it recover. Then bring the warrior here. We could use its help to stop Po."

"As you wish, Shifu." Panther bows to her head and left the Hall Of Heroes.

Leo pulls his head back and left the Jade Palace. He flew back to Song where she was waiting for him. "I know why Po is with the croc bandits. He lost his memories somehow and they're going to need The Black Spirit's help after finding it.

"Then we need to go find The Black Spirit." Song said.

"I'm going to find The Black Spirit. I need you to head to Mr. Ping's noodle shop to find something that will bring back Po's memories."

"Wouldn't it be better if we stick together to find The Black Spirit?" Song suggested.

"No. It's better I go alone." Leo shakes his head. "Thanks you for taking cafe of me these nearly past two weekes."

Song watches him turn around and runs off. What she didn't tell Leo that she had Ehuang, Chyou and Lirong to follow Leo in case this wasn't a trap.

Leo made it to the abandoned house and close the door. He quickly puts the Black Spirit uniform on and left to head back to the Valley Of Peace. It was already the late afternoon. Leo had to move quickly on the roofs. He made it to the staircase and climbs to the Jade Palace. The young man made it just in time as Po defeated The Furious Five.

Leo dives to the Dragon Warrior and punches him in the gut, followed by a uppercut and grabs the panda's throat. He threw him into the column.

Po coughed before glaring at his new opponent. "Big mistake!" He shouted as he leaps into the air with a downward punch.

Meanwhile, Fung was running back to Mr. Ping's noodle shop. What he didn't expect was a female snow leopard running to the Jade Palace with a red box. "Hold it!" Fung shouted.

The snow leopard stops as Fung stops in front of her.

"Listen, I need that box to bring Po's memories! If I don't bring that back with me, Po is going to kill Shifu!" Fung exclaims.

"What?!" Song gasps.

"Please!"

"Fine! Huh?" Song looks behind her and saw Panther and Blake running to them.

"See you!" Fung snatches the red box and bolts back to the Jade Palace.

"Song?!" Panther exclaims and she and Blake stops in front of her. "What are you doing here?"

"I'll explain later when we get to the Jade Palace to join Leo and the others." The snow leopardess informs her.

"Leo is here?!"

"Come on!" Blake shouted as the three of them started running.

Present Day...

"Now you know the whole story." Song finished her story. Everyone was surprised and shocked to the news she gave to everyone.

Po and Viper saw that Tigress wanted to tear Song when she mentioned Leo slept with her in bed. But she restrained herself from doing so after she learned when Leo suggested to sleep on the ground or take a bath alone. She knew that Leo wouldn't end their relationship on that note. Song stayed with him during the night to keep an eye on him because of his injuries.

Perhaps she should be grateful that Song took good care of Leo these nearly past two weeks. And Leo wasn't the type of man to cheat on her. But for Leo to go into exile after finding Zane? Thinking that she and the rest of them are under Higure's control? That's insane. The feline looks over at Panther who was thinking deeply of Leo.

"Where's Leo right now?" Kuo asks Song.

"Must be looking for a way to sneak in here without anyone of you noticing him here. I have the twins and the nurse following him right now and he doesn't know."

"Good." Panther stands up. "Then there's something I have to check."

"I'll go with you." Blake said to excuse himself to go with Panther. "And before I forget, Po, I want to talk you about your father's soup."

"Uh, sure." The Dragon Warrior said as he exits the kitchen.

The three warriors made it to Leo's room. They notices the iPhone and the diamond sword is missing. Panther quickly unlock the chest as Blake stand by as a lookout while Po watches her. The Black Spirit uniform was still intact. She picks up the mask and the mask was not damage.

"Po, didn't you say that mask split in half after the battle this past afternoon?" Panther looks over shoulder.

"Yes I did."

Panther carefully looks at the mask and the uniform. "It doesn't look like it was damaged and yet the iPhone and the sword is missing." She inspected.

"Maybe it was the real Black Spirit?" Blake suggested.

Panther shakes her head. "I don't think so." The young woman put the mask back in the chest before locking it up and turn to face Po. "Po, before and after you discovered Leo is The Black Spirit, was there any leads or clues that Leo was doing here at the Jade Palace?"

"Let me think. Leo always up before us several times before we do training. Then there's the meditation and spending time in the library."

"What about groceries? Does he help buy groceries?"

"Yeah. But I did remember he was late when he bought the groceries while we had to wait for a stupid permit."

"Hm." Panther started thinking. "Leo claims that he saw Enya and he became The Black Spirit during the ban. He must've bought a second uniform between the ban and the permit after his first encounter with Enya here on this world. We'll find Leo first before he finds Zane. After that... we have a lot to talk about once we find Leo." She thought. Panther looks at Blake and Po. "Come on, you two. We need to find Leo."

The two warriors nodded their heads and left the room.

Leo had finish changing out of The Black Spirit uniform. His iPhone was in his pocket and the dimond sword was strapped on his back. He left the abandoned house. Making sure no one has followed him, Leo ran from the abandoned house with the new clothes he received from the others. The young man ran out of the bamboo forest and spread his fiery wings to take off into the night sky.

It was a nice calm night. Leo lets out a little grunt of pain and he had to land due to his four broken ribs. He glides low and landed. Some of his injuries has been healed, but it will take another two or maybe three weeks until he's completely healed. Leo took a knee to relax for a couple minutes and there was no wood for him to build a fire.

Leo stands up and began walking. This reminded him when he and Panther took a walk with behind the palace into the woods a few years ago. The only thing he wished right now if Po and himself could've stopped Pang Bing sooner and everyone would've been free from Higure's mind control. But he was face with a difficult choice; become The Bloodthirsty Monster to finish off Zane and Enya or let them see his other side. He really couldn't risk it.

Leo began walking for nearly an hour. He came across a small hill to sleep for the night. The young man spreads his feiry wings once more to gain some light. Now he can begin his search for Zane, wherever that man is hiding. But after what happened, Leo thought to get some rest first. His fiery wings has disappeared and he lays down in the soft the grass.

Before he could close his eyes, the youmg man heard footsteps behind him. Leo stands up and turns around to block a punch from Enya. But she delivers a side kick to the chest that sent him down the hill.

"Enya." Leo snarls at her.

"It was impressive that you broke out of the magic circle trap, Leo." Enya place her hands behind her back. "But again, you're still pathetic."

"Shut the fuck up!" Leo lunges at her.

Enya jumps over him before kicking him in the back and the young man lands on his stomach.

"How does Higure and you know each other?" Leo growls as he looks over his shoulder.

"Patience, Leo. Because you're about to have company." Enya quickly vanishes into thin air.

"What?" Leo gasps softly. He heads to the top of the hill and someone smacks into him. The young man unknowingly grabs the person's arm towards him as he fell backwards.

"Leo!"

Leo opens his eyes to come face-to-face with... his girlfriend, Tigress. Their noses barely touching.

Panther, Po, Blake, Crane, Viper, Song and the other three leopardesses caught up to them. Tigress got off of Leo and offers her paw to him. But to everyone's surprise, Leo quickly got on his feet and jumps a couple feet away from and drew his sword.

"Don't come any closer!" Leo growls at them.

Panther walks by Tigress and stops in the middle between her childhood friend and the others. "Leo, Pang Bing has been defeated."

"What?"

"It's true. Everyone is free from being mind-control by Pang Bing." Panther tells him. "Here." She takes her iPhone out and tosses it to him.

Leo scrolls through the photos.

"Pang Bing has been arrested and will be given a sentence in several months. I've interrogated Pang Bing if she was working with Zane Lombardi." Panther replied.

"And?"

"Pang Bing was not working with Zane. Shifu and the others had also confirmed about as well when Zane made his appearance. I sent Blake to check the black powder if it was tampered with and he reports that it hasn't been tampered with."

"In other words, that fucking bastard lied." Leo growled as he lowers his sword.

"Yeah."

"Shit!"

"Leo, what happened after everyone was under Pang Bing's control?" Blake asked him.

"Zane and I fought. I had to try to shoot electricity at him, but there was an explosion when I came into contact with him. I used the force of the explosion to send me and Zane far away from the city. We continued our fight until we got separated by a mysterious light and I landed in a field, injured. I started walking for a few days with no food or water until I fell from a mountain."

"And that's when I saw Leo." Song spoke up.

"Then you took care of him for nearly two weeks." Blake finished.

"That pretty sums it up." Crane added.

"You don't have to go into exile, Leo." Tigress walks up besides Panther. "We're all in this together."

"Hm." Leo started thinking for a moment. "Alright. I won't go into exile."

"Good." Panther smiled.

"When we get back, we have to talk about Zane and Higure." Leo lowers the sword.

"Can we do that tomorrow?" Po groans.

"No, Po. We're going to talk about it when we all get back to the Jade Palace." Leo sheathes his sword.

Shifu was meditating near the moon pool. His ears twitch as the doors open. He stands up to turn around and saw Leo entering the Hall Of Heroes with the others. "Leo, it's good to have you back again at the Jade Palace."

"Thank you, Master Shifu." Leo bows to him. He saw Monkey, Mantis, Kuo, Jie and Kiba entering the Hall Of Heroes. The remaining two members of the Five rushes over as the three wolves smiled. "Now that we're all here, let's discuss about Zane and this group Higure."

"Agreed." Shifu nodded his head.

Leo steps forward and stood by his side to face this big group. "After our last mission, we've all encountered Zane on the same of the eclipse. He defeated you, Master Shifu, and The Furious Five."

"He was planning on capturing you before they extract something from you. And he was surprised to hear that your name is "Leo". Zane even mentioned if you are the one, then Higure's suspicions are confirmed after seeing that "wonderful display" five years ago." Shifu said.

The three humans remained quiet.

"Does this have something to do with the fiery wings, the laser beam and anything that happened before Blake came here?" Viper suggested. "We saw that your arms and legs were on fire when you went up against the cannons, but we didn't see what was happening inside that giant fire ring."

"It does have something to do with that and we don't know how many other members are there." Leo lowers his head.

"You think The Higure is here or our own world?" Monkey wonder. "How can humans end up here?"

"We're not entirely sure." Panther said. "Crow's father, Draco, is a powerful interdimensional being that causes death and destruction throughout the cosmos and dimensions. Crow can summon a portal from one place to the other in our universe, but she was not the one who sent us here in the first place."

"That's true. A voice spoke to me before I ended up here." Leo nodded. "I believe someone more powerful is behind this."

"Don't forget The Twilight Titans. I don't think they're the ones who sent you here too." Crane pointed out.

"I'm sure we'll understand about this in the future." Shifu said before looking up at Leo. "Seeing and hearing about your broken ribs, Leo, you will stay in bed for a few weeks to recover."

"As you wish, Master Shifu."

After Leo took his bath, the young man heads back to his room to rest up. When he enters his room, Leo saw Panther and Blake in his room. "Panther, Blake, what are you doing in my room? Do you need something?"

"I want to know what really happened, Leo." Panther answered. "I know you left out some of the important stuff."

It only took fifteen minutes to explain what really happened. Once Leo was finished, Panther and Blake was surprised.

"So Enya used to work with Higure?" Blake asked him.

"That's what I heard from Zane." Leo answered.

"Damn, how long have they used to work together?"

"Your guess is good as ours, Blake. But are you sure that you fought Enya? What if you were fighting a hallucination based on magic?"

Leo lets out annoyed sigh. "Believe me, Panther. I fucking fought that bitch and Zane."

"We'll talk more about this tomorrow." Panther said.

Tigress enters the room. "We should get some sleep tonight, everyone."

"Alright then. Goodnight, girls. And goodnight, Leo." Blake walks by Leo and stops outside of the room. "Oh yeah, one more thing, Leo."

Leo approaches him. "What is it, Blake?"

"You and Tigress are in relationship, right?" Blake asked with a sly smile.

"Yeah?"

"Did you and Tigress... you know... do it?"

Leo's face became red. "No!" Leo exclaims softly.

"Alright then. See you tomorrow." Blake walks away.

Leo's face turned back to normal and saw Tigress and Panther were still in his room. "Aren't the two of you going to your bedrooms?"

"Well, my room is being used right now. Panther and I have been sleeping in your room together for nearly two weeks." Tigress said.

Leo notices his bed was in the middle of his girlfriend and childhood friend's bed. "I see." The young man slides the door behind him.

"We've both missed you." Tigress approaches him and kisses Leo softly on the lips. She led him to the three beds and helps him lay down before laying down besides her boyfriend.

"Did the two of you know it's been months since the three of slept together in the same room?" Panther wraps Leo's right arm.

"Yeah." Leo nodded his head.

"It's because we care about you a lot." Tigress snuggled Leo.

"These next few weeks are going to be very interesting." Panther said.

"You may be right on that, Panther." Tigress replied.

"Goodnight girls." Leo said to the two girls.

"Goodnight Leo." They both said. Tigress kisses on the cheek.

The three warriors closes their eyes together. Both Tigress and Panther will sleep peacefully. But as for Leo, he embraces his nightmares as always. These next few weeks are going to be interesting indeed.

Author's Note: That's a good ending for this chapter. Leo is finally back at the Jade Palace. So why is Enya a traitor to Higure? What is the connection between these two? We'll find out in the future. Enya might have resources, but where was she hiding since arriving here?
