XI. First-Aid Kit
"Keep still and Stop winging," Ceto insisted "Ones…bloody pampered rich kids" she added, mumbling.
"There is a dagger in my leg. So excuse me if I'm not so calm." Glint protested
"It's nothing too major. Nothing but a flesh wound."
"Flesh wound?! If the thing went in any deeper it would poking out the other end."
"Do you want to test that theory?" Ceto jeered, tapping the hilt of the dagger.
"Of fucking course not. You fucking lunatic."
"Just messin' with ya"
"Can you patch the hell up?"
"Ask nicely." Ceto teased, letting out a light chuckle.
"Please," Glint forced out between gritted teeth
"So his lordship is capable of saying that world. You do more often, making people think you aren't stuck-up prick."
"Tsk. I suppose your wound know a thing about-
Ceto yanked the dagger from Glint's leg.
"ARRGH!" Glint howled.
"Know a thing about what?" Ceto said.
"Are you sure you know what you're doing?"
"Mostly."
"Brilliant."
Ceto began wrapping up the wound in bandages.
"Well, it wasn't the most interesting part of training, to be honest. Didn't think it would be of much use y'know. Thought most of the time will spend causing bleeding and not stopping it."
"That much is obvious," Glint mumbled."
"I hear that."
"Who says you weren't meant to."
"Now, errr... rest. Gotta let you regain your strength."
Glint stared at her.
"Don't worry you got two kills in the bloodbath. Which is more than me, I hate to admit but given you won't be doing much for a while. I plenty of time to get ahead."
"I'll be back in action before you get your next kill," Glint commented.
"Cocky little shit" Ceto exclaimed. "So by tonight then."
"You think you'll get another kill that quickly," Glint asked.
"I don't just think. I know."
"Who's the cocky little shit now?"
"Still you."
"You're a bigger one."
"No, that's you."
"Stop arguing dears, this isn't the school playground," Tyberias said in a patronising tone.
"It's just a little harmless teasing there's no need there's no need to bore."
"You've got to start taking this seriously and acting trained and disciplined warrior you are." Tyberias declared.
"Won't have much faith in a Four having discipline," Glint noted.
"You as well. Princeton!"
"Oh, he's doing the surname thing. He thinks that'll get to listen to him more." Glint mocked
Tyberias sighed. "I sometimes wonder what you lot are doing sometimes. Sending in petulant children and not warriors.
"We're all kids, Tyberias," Ceto noted.
Tyberias went to say something before finding the composure to withhold what were undoubtedly thoughtless words. Words that were uncharacteristic for the stern and unflinching warrior.
"Well you appear to be doing fine here, so I'll take my leave."
Tyberias walked off.
"Almost got him," Ceto said.
"Bet, I get him to lose his temper quicker than you can."
"How about we team up?" Ceto asked
"Scared you'll lose the bet?"
"No, I just think more fun than trying to do it alone."
Glint smiled. "You're on."
