O'Neill sitting in his office reviewing the latest report from Destiny. They had found a wormhole at the center of the universe. They were investigating it further, details to come as soon as possible.

Janus and Hammond appeared before O'Neill, "Sorry for barging in, but it's starting!"

Hammond looked at Jack, "Commander we believe the Old Ones are preparing to attack. They appear to be rallying around the solar system, in much larger numbers than before."

"So it begins!" spoke O'Neill, "Get the troops lined up and ready to move out. I'll start plan alpha immediately."

"Yes Sir!" replied Hammond, disappearing.

"Something else Janus?" asked O'Neill.

"I just want to say it is an honor to work beside you and your people. The Alterrans and Lanteans made the right choice in trusting you," replied Janus as he disappeared.

O'Neill hit a button on the communicator, "Woosley, I am activating Plan Alpha."

"I will immediately contact the world leaders and activate the broadcast system," replied Woosley disconnecting.

Woosley activated his communication system to all the world leaders, "Plan Alpha has been activated. An attack is imminent. Please follow your planned guides on how to coordinate your local militaries. The World Alert System will be activated shortly."

President Hayes was taken immediately to Air Force One, he would be coordinating the North American militaries. The Russian Premier was taken to a secure train to be taken to a secure facility, he would be directing the Asian Militaries. Their missions were on damage control, to do all possible to reduce the number of deaths.

Woosley woke Julia Donovan, "Ms. Donovan Plan Alpha has been activated."

"I'll have the World Alert System activated and warning people immediately," replied Donovan.

Ten minutes later on every station, on every electronic display, was Donovan, "Good morning and good evening to many around the world. I have just been informed that an attack on the Planet by the ones we call the Old Ones is imminent. Everyone should immediately head to the nearest bunker for shelter. Food, water, and medical supplies are available there for everyone. Please let me remind you do not take personal belongings, move immediately to a bunker for safety. The brave men and women of the Alliance Guard are doing everything they can to protect the planet."

Back in the Altera control room, Landry, "I want every level of the shield we can put around this planet in place!"

"Yes sir, we have twenty-five levels of shielding in place, and Pacifica is moving to establish another ten in addition," replied Harriman.

Davis spoke, "All non-essential personal are being evacuated."

"Teal'c has signaled that ground troops are deploying around the globe for combat," spoke Harriman.

"Let's pray it doesn't come to that," replied Landry.

Mitchell out on Destiny, "Folks I have just received a communique. The Old Ones are preparing for an attack on Earth. I have ordered our escort ships to return to Earth, to assist. We are here alone now. Daniel, Oma, and Thrud if you have any ideas now is the time!"

"Scans show there is some sort of structure on that planet. I believe we need to start there," spoke Jackson.

"Get on a shuttle and get down. Take whoever you need," ordered Mitchell.

"Let's go," replied Jackson.

Jackson, Oma, Thrud, and Vala took off for the shuttle. Quickly they were on the way to the single planet. Nobody knew what they would find, but speed was of the essence.

O'Neill now on the bridge of the Enterprise in orbit, "Thor buddy, we need your fleet."

"They will be arriving momentarily Commander O'Neill. Today the Asgard will honor our friendship with the Tau'ri," replied Thor.

Lya stood next to O'Neill, "My people are prepared, Commander O'Neill."

"Exactly what is it your people are going to do?" asked O'Neill.

"You shall see!" growled Lya.

The Asgard fleet began to appear spreading around Earth.

Jackson was landing the shuttle near the structures. There appeared to be a pyramid one thousand meters high, with four stone obelisk surrounding it. Upon landing they immediately went to the nearest obelisk.

"This writing is completely different than anything we have seen before. It's not like what we have seen on the other obelisk, made by the planet builders," spoke Jackson.

"Great!" spoke Vala.

Oma had circled around to look at the other obelisks, "Dr. Jackson come here!"

They all took off running for her location a significant distance away. Out of breath when they got there, Jackson was standing amazed at what he saw, "This is Ancient."

"No, it's Ori, from further back in our history. This is the oldest form I have ever seen," spoke Oma.

"What does it say?" asked Vala.

"Oma, am I reading this correctly?" asked Jackson.

"Yes Dr. Jackson I believe you are," replied Oma.

"Someone read it out loud!" yelled Vala.

"We found the Garden of Eden," spoke Jackson.

"Like the Earth Bible Garden of Eden?" asked Vala.

"Yes," replied Thrud.

"Enterprise this is Pacifica, we are ready in orbit and providing additional shielding to the planet," spoke Sheppard.

"Bring up the dimensional viewer on screen," ordered O'Neill.

The screen shifted and they were now appearing across the dimension with the ascended beings. They could see what appeared to be a mist surrounding the solar system. These were the Old Ones, they didn't have humanoid forms like the Lanteans or Alterans, they were native species to the dimension, their forms were all unique. They werew advancing on Earth. Four thousand ships were positioned around Earth. The other remaining thousand ships of the Asgard were sent to guard the other allies.

"Sir the Asgard Core's across the fleet are in sync and communicating," spoke Marks.

"Enter a firing solution to fire all weapons from all ships in a simultaneous burst," ordered O'Neill.

"Yes sir!" replied Ventrell.

Janus appeared next to O'Neill, "I never imagined this when it all began."

"Well leave it to the Asgard and their time dilation fields," replied O'Neill.

"Yes they are amazing people," replied Janus.

"Has the special present been authorized on all ships?" asked O'Neill.

"Yes, all ascended's have agreed to its deployment. The Asgard Cores are positioning the ships to prevent friendly fire," replied Janus.

"Let's see if we can negotiate with them," replied O'Neill.

"Open broadcast, the Old Ones will be able to respond," replied Janus.

"Make sure this is sent out over the World Alert System," replied O'Neill.

"Ready sir," replied Marks.

"Greetings ascended beings! I am Supreme Commander of the Alliance Guard. We do not wish any confrontation with you. Can we discuss a peaceful settlement?" asked O'Neill.

A black mist appeared on the screen. It swirled about for a bit before responding, "No peace. We do not want your kind in our realm."

"Understandable, there are a lot of us. We do tend to break the rules a bit," replied O'Neill.

"You shall not be able to ascend," replied the mist.

"What about your big rule of no interference?" asked O'Neill.

"We only want to keep them from interfering with you!" replied the mist.

"Do you have a name?" asked O'Neill.

"Quctenificaltenfinuhbudswer," replied Quctenificaltenfinuhbudswer.

"Can I call you Q?" asked O'Neill.

"We shall destroy all of your kind, and none shall ascend," replied Quctenificaltenfinuhbudswer.

"Well here is the thing we are going to go down fighting. As you already saw at the Nox homeworld, we can take your kind down," replied O'Neill.

"They were young and weak. We are not," replied Quctenificaltenfinuhbudswer.

"That maybe true, but we have way more ships here and we are prepared to take as many of you down as we can," replied O'Neill.

"The loss of a few do not matter," replied Quctenificaltenfinuhbudswer.

"I think it might be more than a few," replied O'Neill.

"Your weapons may hurt us but are not that powerful," replied Quctenificaltenfinuhbudswer.

"Are you sure about that?" asked O'Neill

Around the world, people in bunkers under cities were watching this exchange. This war they had been told about always seemed too distant to them. Sentiment had turned further against the Old Ones when people saw the devastation of the Nox homeworld. Military units in the bunkers were keeping people settled and calm as best as they could.

"You have advanced beyond what we allow. Once we made that mistake, now we shall keep it from happening again," replied Quctenificaltenfinuhbudswer.

"Do you have children?" asked O'Neill, "How would you feel if we take out some of them? Personally having lost a child I can tell you it's awful. Don't recommend it!"

"I shall feast on your children. Yes, we know about them. I shell personally devour them!" replied Quctenificaltenfinuhbudswer.

"Now you had to go and personally threaten my family. Even I am more diplomatic than that. I was trying to give you a reason to save face and leave. I do not want to hurt your children or yourself," replied O'Neill.

"Speak for yourself, O'Neill. My people want them dead!" roared Lya.

"You people were so easy. Our young destroyed your world with only a few. Now you face the million of us. We will destroy your people," replied Quctenificaltenfinuhbudswer.

Back in the Garden of Eden, Vala was asking, "Could someone please explain?"

"Yes sorry. I've only read a portion of this. It appears four great races were created here by some sort of benevolent being. They all lived here in peace until they gained knowledge, then they left here to go out among the stars. The Ancients, the Nakai, and two others, their names are these symbols. One that walked on land, one that swam in oceans, one that flew in the air, and the fourth that lived in fire. These races flowed from here, just like the biblical story of the four rivers flowing from the Garden of Eden. It wasn't rivers it was Races, it was four different types of people. They were allowed to stay here till they gained knowledge, then all were made to leave. Here is where they interacted with the creators of the universe," spoke Jackson.

"Ok how does any of that help us?" asked Vala.

"I don't know yet," replied Jackson, "Something about this is familiar."

Oma returned, "That obelisk over there has the language of the one you called planet builders. Then that last one has what I believe is the Nakai language on it."

"Let me get this straight, whoever created the universe created four races here, based on Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind then taught them knowledge and sent them out in the universe. This the biblical story of Eden?" asked Vala.

"Somehow that story must have made it back to Earth," replied Jackson.

"This is lost in my people's history. We never knew this," replied Oma.

"This is all fascinating, except the part about the Nakai. How does any of this help us?" asked Vala.

"Because the creators may still be here. There is an entrance to that pyramid," replied Thrud.

"Let us go check it out," replied Jackson.

O'Neill watching the activity on the viewer of the Old Ones, they had not progressed any further since the Asgard ships had shown up.

O"Neill asked, "What are they waiting on?'

"I do not know. They are hesitating. I believe they are considering what you said," replied Janus.

"As they should," replied Lya.

In bunkers around the globe, people watched broadcast screens as Donovan informed them what was transpiring. For her part, Donovan was doing everything she could to keep a calm soothing voice. People were restless and waiting for something to happen. Not everyone had followed the warnings and went to bunkers, many were still out, preparing the fight the aliens, or as some were looting and causing mayhem. The local military was doing their best to round everyone up to bunkers, but many resisted.

McKay was busying with Miller trying to prepare the Interdimensional Energy Collectors for the energy that would be needed.

"We have positioned additional Collectors at each shield generator, to quickly recharge, but our conduits can only handle so much. I'm afraid we'll burn out the conduits before we can recharge," spoke McKay.

"If we lose more than ten levels of our shields we won't be able to recharge," replied Miller.

"So as long as we can keep the shielding loss below ten we can sustain the shields?" asked Landry.

"Yes, but if we lose that tenth one we will be in a free fall," replied McKay.

President Hayes sat on Air Force one, waiting for any news, "When I ran for President, I never thought I would be dealing with an alien force wanting to wipe out all mankind."

"You thought the Goa'uld, and Ori were our worst enemies," replied his chief of staff.

"Yeah, I'd take those guys any day over the Old Ones. After seeing what they did to the Nox," replied Hayes.

O'Neill on the Enterprise, "Let's give them more to think about then. Launch the F-71's and F-302's."

Larrin over the communication, "Yes sir!"

"All squadrons establish a blockade of the planet around the DN-1103's," ordered Larrin.

Each DN-1103 launched its complement of one hundred F-71's. Larrin launched from Pacifica with another one thousand F-71's. With forty-one thousand F-71's and another five hundred F-302's in orbit around Earth, anyone on the surface could see ships.

"Commander Carter what are you doing?" asked Landry.

"Helping with the shields," replied Carter.

"Where are your kids? Your supposed to have evacuated!" replied Landry.

"Sir Commander Davis has the Alpha site well under control. My skills are needed here. My kids are now safe," replied Carter.

"Very well, but if something happens to you! Jack will have my head," replied Landry.

Back on Eden, Daniel to Mitchell, "Are you detecting any levels of lepton radiation?"

"Yes, we are picking up slight levels of radiation, nothing to worry about. Why?" replied Mitchell.

"I have a hunch," replied Jackson, "Everyone with me let's get inside that pyramid."

Vala, Oma, Thrud, and Jackson quickly found the entrance to the pyramid and began a long walk down a long stone walkway. They see a humanoid figure in the distance.

Jackson shouted, "Nick?"

Back on the Enterprise, Janus turned to O'Neill, "It begins!"

A bloom of light begins to grow around the Old Ones.

Author's Note: Either it's going to be really big next chapter or a series of smaller chapters that I release at once. I need to take my time to make sure they come out the way I fully intend.
