"Daniel is that you?" called back Ballard.
Daniel, Vala, Oma, and Thrud rushing to Ballard.
"Nick how did you get here?" asked Jackson.
"Quetzalcoatl brought me here after we left P7X-377," replied Ballard.
"That's why we never found you when we returned," replied Jackson.
"It is good to see you, Daniel. I have learned much," replied Ballard.
"Daniel who is this?" asked Vala.
"My grandfather Nicholas Ballard. He became an emissary several years ago with an alien species. We never heard from him again," replied Jackson.
Vala astonished, "And now you're here at the center of the universe?"
"Quetzalcoatl brought me here when he came. You won't believe the things he has done," replied Ballard.
"Is he here?" asked Jackson.
"Not at the moment, he is supposed to be returning soon," replied Ballard, "What is wrong?"
"Earth is under attack, and we are all kinda hoping he could help us," replied Jackson.
"This is the Garden of Eden, Daniel," spoke Ballard.
"I know it's not four rivers flowing from it, but four races. The Ancients or Ori, the Nakai, and two others we don't know the name for," replied Jackson.
"The other two are the Ifrit, they are the people of fire. Then the Jinn the people of the air," replied Ballard.
"What race is Quetzalcoatl?" asked Jackson.
"He is of the Quichean," grinned Ballard.
"As in the Popol Vuh?" asked Jackson.
"Yes," replied Ballard.
"It makes sense now," replied Jackson.
"Could you explain it to the rest of us?" asked Vala.
Jackson started explaining, "The Popul Vuh is the oldest writing we have from the Mayan empire. It tells how the creators created this universe and the next."
"The wormhole?" asked Oma.
"Precisely. Not only that how earth, fire, wind, and water were created," replied Jackson
"The four races," spoke Thrud.
"Now the question is can Quetzalcoatl help us with the Old Ones?" asked Oma.
"That I can not answer, but maybe Daniel my dear grandson could introduce me to his friends?" asked Ballard.
"Oh yes sorry! Nick this is Vala my wife," explained Jackson.
"Your wife? It's good to meet you dear!" replied Ballard.
"Likewise, Daniel hasn't told me nearly enough about you!" replied Vala.
"This is Oma, she is one of the ascended Lanteans," explained Jackson.
"I would love to sit and hear everything you have learned," replied Oma.
"That would be my pleasure," replied Ballard.
"This is Thrud, daughter of Thor of the Asgard," spoke Jackson.
"So the Asgard are real as well. I think most of our mythology is coming to life," spoke Ballard.
"I find it interesting that your mythology contains so much truth from such a variety of sources," spoke Thrud.
"It is curious, we have legends across the Qiochean, Asgard, the Builder of Rhodes, even history on the Jinn, and Ifrit. The Goa'uld manipulated our mythology. Even stories from the Ori like the Ark of Truth are intertwined in our religions and mythology," replied Jackson.
"Earth seems to be the only place this has occurred," replied Oma.
"Commander Landry, what assistance can we render? I know we are off the beaten path," asked Mitchell over the Communicator.
"As of now Destiny is a possible evacuation point, should we need it. If you can find us a solution.," spoke Landry.
"Yes, sir I understand. We will keep the gate ready and clear for an evacuation," replied Mitchell.
"Altera out," replied Landry.
"Jackson better find something down there," replied Mitchell.
Rising from the deep chasm Quetzalcoatl rose as an ethereal figure and spoke, "That maybe something I can answer."
"Quetzalcoatl you remember Daniel my grandson?" asked Ballard.
"Yes I remember him," replied Quetzalcoatl.
"You speak English now," replied Jackson.
"Your grandfather has taught me your language," replied Quetzalcoatl.
"These are my friends..." began Jackson.
"I heard you introduce them. It is good to see one of the Children of the Earth again, even if you walk among the Jinn," replied Quetzalcoatl, "Your planet is the only place where all four of the original races have crossed, creating the Fifth race."
"The four races crossed creating the fifth race? You mean us?" asked Jackson.
Quetzalcoatl smiled, "Yes Daniel Jackson. Your existence is due to what you inherited from the four races. The Ori or Ancients as you call them planted the seeds of life on your planet when they left, but your oceans already contained seeds of life, from the Nakai. The Jinn, created a plague in jealousy of the Ori being able to reach into their realm. That plague corrupted the DNA of the Nakai, and Ori allowing them to combine with the plague, and your race sprang from that combination."
"Wow, what about the Ifrit?" asked Jackson.
"They created the original life on your planet, that far proceeded the Ori arriving. Your world was once a boiling pit of fire because the Ifrit called it home. They left their own touches of life on your planets, that joined with your DNA," spoke Quetzalcoatl.
Oma spoke, "The Jinn are the ones who are native to the plane I now exist on?"
"Yes young one they are," replied Quetzalcoatl.
"We call them the Old Ones. You should know they are coming to destroy my planet, and my people," replied Jackson.
"That can not be so!" cried Quetzalcoatl.
"Before we came down here, we had received word they were surrounding Earth, with the intent to destroy it," replied Vala.
"My people are standing with the people of Earth to defend it. We came here hoping you can help us," spoke Thrud.
Quetzalcoatl tilted his head back and soon the others could see the vast universe around them. Far off in the distance, a single point was glowing with a brilliance that was unlike anywhere else in the universe.
Quetzalcoatl spoke, "The battle has already begun."
"Is there anything you can do to stop this? My people do not want to destroy the Old Ones. We only defend ourselves." spoke Jackson.
Oma spoke, "You know the Old Ones have done everything they could to destroy any species that near the point of ascension."
Thrud spoke, "You seem to treasure the people of Earth as this Fifth Race. You must want to save them?"
"It is not a question of what I wish. Saving the people of Earth would be my desire. A covenant was created between my kind and the remaining three races that we would never interfere again. I can not interfere now," spoke Quetzalcoatl.
"Wait the remaining three races? A convenant? The Ifrit was of fire, you created a great flood and destroyed the Ifrit didn't you? Then you created the pact," spoke Jackson.
Quetzalcoatl answered, "That is correct."
"The flood myth, the great flood from the bible, and God made a pact with Noah to never to destroy life again," spoke Ballard.
"Is there nothing you can do?" asked Jackson.
"My deepest sympathy Daniel Jackson. You may remain here, you will be safe. The Old Ones would not dare to come here," replied Quetzalcoatl.
Meanwhile back on the Destiny.
"The battle back on Earth is not going well," spoke Mitchell.
Tomin spoke, "At least the Alliance is holding its ground."
"Yes but for how long?" asked Mitchell.
"Hopefully Dr. Jackson will find something that can help," replied Tomin.
Narim came onto the bridge, "I believe I know where that wormhole goes."
"Where?" asked Mitchell.
"Another Universe," replied Narim.
"Well, I don't see how that can help us. Tomin anything from Jackson?" asked Mitchell.
"No sir," replied Tomin.
"Try to get him on the radio," ordered Mitchell.
Tomin tried to raise Jackson, but only static.
Hailey and Zalenka were studying the latest readings from sensors.
"If Narim is correct this leads to another universe, then would it make sense for this universe to have an exiting wormhole from the previous universe?" asked Hailey.
Zalenka pondered the question, "Yes it would but where?"
Back in the pyramid, Jackson asked, "Magister Tenebris?"
"How do you know this name?" asked Quetzalcoatl.
"Long story, but do you know him? Would he help?" asked Jackson.
"Magister Tenebris is the last remaining original Jinn," spoke Quetzalcoatl.
"That's why the Old Ones fear him," spoke Oma.
"Is he still around? Primus said he had not seen him in millions of years," spoke Thrud.
"Magister Tenebris, let me see him," replied Quetzalcoatl. Who then disappeared back into the chasm.
"How long is this going to take?" asked Vala.
"I can not say. Quetzalcoatl moves in ways that are difficult for me to explain," replied Ballard.
"Why didn't he tell us any of this when we met him before?" asked Jackson.
"He wanted to learn more about us as a people. Admittedly the past few years we've been here and he hasn't returned to Earth to my knowledge," replied Ballard.
Vala concerned, "So let me get this straight. You left your grandfather with an alien you only met briefly, and never checked back up with him?"
"We checked on him, or at least tried to. When I went back and teams after me we never found the crystal skull that we needed to use to communicate. There was no sign of Nick," replied Jackson.
Vala grimaced, "Hmm."
"To think there is an entire history of my people that we never knew about. It had been lost," spoke Oma.
Thrud speaking, "I wonder where the Asgard originate from then?"
"Interesting how we made an alliance of four races, Alteran, Asgard, Nox and Furlings. Then Thor declared the Tau'ri as the fifth race, and here we have Quetzalcoatl declaring you all the fifth race in the universe," spoke Oma.
"So your an Altera, and your an Asgard?" asked Ballard indicating Oma, and Thrud.
"Correct," spoke Thrud.
"I have not met the Nox, but the Furlings are an interesting race," spoke Ballard.
"You have met the Furlings?" asked Oma.
"Yes, at least when they are willing to come out of hiding," spoke Ballard, "They do not like the Nakai. Can't say I blame them, they are nasty."
"The Furlings are hiding, then they are not wiped out?" asked Thrud.
"Oh goodness no. They are just really good at hiding. Even Quetzalcoatl can't find them. They occasionally come out and visit," replied Ballard.
"What are they like?" asked Vala.
Just then Quetzalcoatl rose from the chasm, with a second entity.
Quetzalcoatl spoke, "This is Magister Tenebris, he has come to see you at my request."
"Greetings Magister Tenebris, it is an honor to meet one of the original Jinn," spoke Oma.
"Hmm you are one of the children of the Earth, that crossed over," spoke Magister Tenebris.
"Yes, she is. We wish to speak to you about our planet. The children of the Jinn, wish to destroy my people, my entire planet, in fear of us crossing over. We have come seeking help!" spoke Jackson.
"See there already is a battle underway. We hoped you would help us put a stop to it!" spoke Vala.
"If the children of the Jinn have gone to war, then your people are no more," spoke Magister Tenebris.
"Not true, the children of the earth that crossed over fight with us. Our allies from different races, fight beside us. We are more powerful than you think. Regardless of who wins, the costs will be great on both sides. We wish for peace," spoke Jackson.
"Why does it matter if your race lives or dies?" asked Magister Tenebris.
"According to Quetzalcoatl my people are the fifth races, descendants of all four of the original races," spoke Jackson.
"I sense Jinn in you, but it matters not. The Jinn will deal with you as they see fit," spoke Magister Tenebris.
"Do you not see the potential of their race? They bring all of the original races together," spoke Quetzalcoatl.
"It matters not," replied Magister Tenebris.
Jackson growing more desperate, "What if I told you we have a weapon that can wipe out all of the Jinn. Like we did to the Ori. We would rather not do that if it's not necessary."
"If you had such a weapon, you would have used it already," spoke Magister Tenebris.
"Take a look at the battle that rages," spoke Quetzalcoatl. A wave of his hand brought the universe before them again. Magister Tenebris could see the glowing brightness of the battle across the universe.
"Never have I seen such concentrated energy. Not even when you destroyed the Ori. More energy is around your planet currently than all the energy in the universe," spoke Magister Tenebris.
"We have grown in knowledge, and power since then. Please help both our people. My people will stop fighting if the Jinn will stop as well," spoke Jackson.
Magister Tenebris looked on across the universe. Quetzalcoatl watched Magister Tenebris.
It was Quetzalcoatl who broke the silence, "Magister Tenebris, you know it is the right thing to do."
"Save this race from being destroyed, denying my kind the peace they deserve in our own realm. No saving your people is not the right thing to do," spoke Magister Tenebris.
"Think of your people that you would be saving!" pleased Vala.
Jackson spoke, "If your not willing to help stop this conflict, then the blood of your kind is on your hands."
"Even if you are successful against the Tau'ri, my people will avenge them. We will hunt down every last remaining one and destroy them," spoke Thrud. All eyes had turned to her as she spoke.
"Little one, you can not imagine the power we hold. You are no threat," replied Magister Tenebris.
"Your wrong and you know it. Look at the energy there, if your kind wanted to destroy a planet it would not require that kind of energy. The Tau'ri are putting up a fight and you know those energy levels that your kind has to be suffering," replied Oma.
"Magister Tenebris, end this battle!" ordered Quetzalcoatl.
"Quetzalcoatl you are bound by the covenant you made with the remaining races, after destroying the Ifrit. You may not interfere. Even asking me to come here is interference!" shouted Magister Tenebris.
"Do not let the Jinn become like the Ori and Ifrit. If they are wiped out, then only the Nakai will remain," replied Quetzalcoatl.
"Quetzalcoatl is the risk of losing the Jinn, and the Fifth Race worth this covenant ?" asked Jackson.
"I am the last Quichean, the others have all moved on to the next universe, or perhaps from there as well. I destroyed the Ifrit, after they nearly wiped out all life in this universe. I have regretted ever since," answered Quetzalcoatl.
"We are not asking you to destroy the Jinn. Just help us stop this war," cried Vala.
Quetzalcoatl stood watching Magister Tenebris, and switching to view the glowing energy across the universe that is Earth. Magister Tenebris began to smile.
"Quctenificaltenfinuhbudswer shall not fail," spoke Magister Tenebris.
"Nicholas, please take your friends to the chamber I showed you," spoke Quetzalcoatl.
Ballard replied, "Yes Quetzalcoatl. Most immediately. Daniel, all of you please come with me immediately."
Jackson started to speak, but Ballard grabbed him by the arm and dragged him with a strength Jackson had not seen in his grandfather. The others quickly followed, Ballard further across the bridge into the darkness.
Quetzalcoatl spoke, "The Jinn have already lost many."
"Yes but Quctenificaltenfinuhbudswer has devised a plan and now your fifth race will be gone," spoke Magister Tenebris.
Quetzalcoatl shaking his head, "No that shall not be!"
On Destiny, Tomin watching sensors "Commander Mitchell, I am reading a large build-up of energy on the planet below. Sensors are showing it's encompassing the entire planet."
"Any word from our team?" asked Mitchell.
"No, sir! I can't raise them on the communications system," replied Tomin.
"Can we get a lock on their locators?" asked Mitchell.
"No sir," replied Tomin.
Mitchell watching the viewscreen ahead of them could see cracks enveloping the entire planet. The crust of the planet was collapsing in on itself.
"Move us back!" shouted Mitchell.
"It's like a black hole!" shouted Zalenka.
Destiny moved a considerable distance from the planet, as it collapsed and nothing was left.
"Where did it go?" asked Mitchell.
"It's like it was swallowed up by a black hole," replied Hailey.
"Now what do we do?" asked Mitchell.
