Marvel: From the Void and Back Again, Part 2

Chapter 3: Multiverse of Chaos

Peter Parker swung effortlessly through the city; his senses alive with the familiar rhythm of New York. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the skyline as he landed on the side of a building. He took a moment to catch his breath, glancing over at Spider-Gwen and Spider-Woman, who had just joined him after apprehending a car thief.

"Nice work," Peter said, giving them a thumbs-up. "It's been a weird few months, hasn't it? Ever since Peter-Knull started residing here, things have been... bizarrely calm."

Gwen nodded, pulling her mask back to take a deep breath. "Yeah, bizarre is right. We had that whole Phoenix incident, sure, but compared to before, it's been almost... mild."

Jessica Drew, Spider-Woman, leaned against the wall, her arms crossed. "I know what you mean. Crime rates have dropped significantly. It's like everyone is too scared to make a move with Peter-Knull around."

At that moment, Miles Morales swung in, landing next to them with a graceful flip. "Hey, team. How's it going?"

Peter chuckled. "Pretty quiet, actually. How about you, Miles? Anything exciting happen today?"

Miles shrugged, his mask retracting to reveal a grin. "Same old, same old. Stopped a few muggers, helped a kid find his lost dog, and got some homework done. It's weirdly peaceful out here."

Spider-Gwen laughed. "Wow, homework, huh? That's exciting."

Jessica smiled, shaking her head. "You know it's strange when Miles's homework is the highlight of the day."

Peter nodded thoughtfully. "It's not just us, either. The whole city's seen a change. Have you noticed how the symbiotes have integrated into everyday life?"

"Yeah," Miles said, leaning against the building. "It's kind of amazing. The Seraphis symbiotes working in hospitals, healing people... I've seen them cure injuries, broken bones, even Alzheimer's. It's like having a new kind of healthcare system."

Spider-Gwen added, "And then there are the Grey-Sym symbiotes. I saw one working as a bouncer at a bar the other night. They keep the peace without even trying. No one's brave enough to start trouble with them around."

Jessica nodded. "I've noticed the Geo-Shade and Iron-Claw symbiotes working on construction sites. The buildings they're putting up are incredible, with complex geometric designs that were impossible before."

Peter took it all in, feeling a sense of wonder and curiosity. "It's like the city's transforming right before our eyes. A mix of the bizarre and the mundane, making life... a bit boring, actually."

Miles laughed. "Boring isn't so bad, Pete. I'd take boring over fighting a city-destroying monster any day."

Gwen smiled. "Yeah, it's nice to have a break. But something tells me this peace won't last forever. We should enjoy it while we can."

As the group chatted about their calm yet eventful days, Peter-Knull arrived, pulling up on his symbiotic motorcycle which clung to the side of the building with writhing tendrils. He dismounted gracefully, but the sight of him covered in mustard drew immediate laughter from the others.

Miles, stifling a chuckle, quipped, "What's with the mustard, Peter?"

Peter-Knull sighed, his symbiotic armor already starting to break down the mustard. "Yeah, I've been doing a bit of experimenting with my symbiotes. I wanted to see what I could do with a baseball bat-wielding, baseball-symbiote as ridiculous as that sounds. A local baseball team asked me to make a mascot for them."

Spider-Gwen raised an eyebrow, smirking. "And you wound up with mustard?"

Peter-Knull chuckled. "Guess he ended up with ketchup and mustard powers on top of being able to make an endless supply of baseballs."

Jessica shook her head, laughing. "That's a new one, even for you."

Peter-Knull grinned. "Hey, not every experiment is a success, but it keeps things interesting. Besides, it's all good fun and helps to keep the public entertained."

Spider-Gwen nodded. "You know, it's nice to see you taking a lighter approach to things. The city's been weirdly peaceful lately."

Peter-Knull nodded; his expression thoughtful. "Yeah, I've noticed that too. It's like the city's transforming, with the symbiotes integrating into everyday life. But I also have this feeling... this calm won't last forever."

Peter-Knull then addressed the next order of business. "Alright, everyone," he began, drawing the attention of Spider-Gwen, Spider-Woman, and Miles Morales. "I wanted to introduce two new symbiotic volunteers. After the whole vampire incident, it made me decide to hire an old friend from my symbiotic universe. He comes from a symbiotic world that I made after the first universe I went to. I saw those old monster movies with my former Gwen Stacy from that universe," Peter-Knull's eyes softened slightly at the memory before he continued. "Just bear in mind... he might seem a bit vampiric, but he's still a symbiote."

He pointed over his shoulder, and out of the night walked a figure with a classic Dracula-like appearance. This vampire-themed symbiote approached with an air of elegance, his dark features and cape-like extensions giving him an eerie yet sophisticated presence.

His name is Night-Cure," Peter-Knull introduced, as the vampire symbiote gave a formal bow. The group could only stare for a good long moment.

"A vampire-themed symbiote?" Spider-Gwen finally managed to say, her eyes wide with disbelief.

Night-Cure straightened up, a polite smile on his face. "I assure you, despite my appearance, I am here to help. I specialize in treating ailments, particularly diabetes. I can provide patients with a temporary cure that lasts for several weeks."

Miles Morales blinked. "Wait, you can cure diabetes?"

Night-Cure nodded. "Indeed. By applying a bit of my antivenom to a blood pack, I can help regulate a patient's blood sugar levels."

Jessica Drew, still processing, added, "That's... incredible."

Peter-Knull smiled. "He might look like a monster from an old movie, but Night-Cure is here to make a difference. Just like the rest of us."

Peter-Knull then looked past the group, directing their attention to another figure leaning casually against the window of the building. This symbiote had the classic look of a wolfman, his fur sleek and his posture relaxed. In any other circumstance, they might have thought he was a genuine werewolf, but the way his pants melded into his lupine legs signaled his symbiotic nature.

He gave them a casual wave, his sharp eyes glinting in the dim light.

"And this is Lupin," Peter-Knull introduced.

The group stared, taking in the appearance of the second symbiote. Lupin's presence was as imposing as it was intriguing, a blend of human and wolf in perfect harmony.

"Lupin, like Night-Cure, is here to help," Peter-Knull continued. "His unique ability is treating rabies. He can neutralize the virus in infected patients and hopefully, in time, help werewolves retain control during their transformations."

Lupin straightened up slightly against the window; his demeanor friendly but confident. "It's good to meet you all. I've heard a lot about this world, and I'm here to lend a hand."

Spider-Gwen looked between Night-Cure and Lupin, her mind racing with the possibilities. "So, you two are like the ultimate healthcare team, huh?"

Night-Cure smiled showing slightly pronounced canines. "You could say that. We're here to use our abilities in a positive manner, just like the rest of you."

Jessica Drew nodded thoughtfully. "I've never seen symbiotes like you two before. But if you can help people, then welcome aboard."

Miles Morales grinned. "Yeah, welcome to the team. It's gonna be interesting having you guys around."

Peter-Parker couldn't help but smile at the two new additions to New York. "Interesting is an understatement. But if you're here to help, then we're glad to have you."

Peter-Parker couldn't help but smile at the two new additions to New York. "Interesting is an understatement. But if you're here to help, then we're glad to have you."

Suddenly, Peter-Knull and his two symbiotes saw a red dot gleaming off the window. Jessica noticed it too. They barely had any time to react before the bullet was fired, narrowly missing Peter-Parker and shattering the window he was on. The bullet grazed Peter's arm, and there was no time to hesitate as more bullets whizzed by, shattering more windows.

Peter-Knull lunged off the building, launching himself into the opposite building in one of the upper floors along with Miles Morales.

By the time that Jessica arrived, Peter-Knull was already on top of the assailant, bending the barrel of the gun backward as he restrained the attacker with his symbiotic tendrils. The appearance of the assailant made him, Miles, and Jessica pause.

He looked like a mix between the Punisher, aka Frank Castle, and Deadpool. He had the iconic skull on his chest but wore a mask similar to Wade's and was armed to the teeth with all sorts of knives, machetes, and a few guns, which Peter-Knull and Jessica quickly moved away from him as he thrashed around wildly.

"Hey babe," the Punisher-Pool said, winking at Jessica. "Guess I bit off more than I can chew, huh? But hey, that's what they always say about me. I'm a snack."

Jessica rolled her eyes as she helped secure the weapons. "You just don't shut up, do you?"

Punisher-Pool grinned beneath his mask. "Oh, I do, but only when I'm dead. And we all know that doesn't last long! So, anyone got a Tic Tac? Maybe some mouthwash? Trying to make a good first impression here."

Peter-Knull tightened his grip, his eyes narrowing. "Who sent you?"

"Well, if you must know," Punisher-Pool began, "I was hired by a very mysterious, very well-paying client. Told me to take you out, but they didn't mention you had friends. Rude, right?"

Miles shook his head, still in disbelief. "Who are you?"

"Name's Punisher-Pool," he said still looking at Jessica. "Frank Wilson's my actual name, all trouble. And seriously, does anyone have a Tic Tac?"

Peter-Knull and Jessica exchanged glances, realizing they were dealing with someone who had all Deadpool's unpredictable nature mixed with the lethal efficiency of the Punisher. This was going to be an interesting night.

…Top of Form

Peter-Knull tightened his grip, staring Punisher-Pool down. "Are there any others with you, or are you it?"

Punisher-Pool chuckled, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Oh, there's a lot of us who were hired by that benefactor. Quite the motley crew, really."

As they restrained him further, he began to list them off, his tone almost gleeful. "Let's see, there's the Green-Goblin version of Scarlet Witch. That's one babe you do not want to mess with. Her chaos magic is something else when combined with those pumpkin bombs."

He continued, recounting the bizarre variants, each one more outlandish than the last:

Doctor Octopus Wolverine - Wolverine with extra metallic arms, making him even more lethal up close.

Symbiote Magneto - Magneto bonded with a symbiote, amplifying his magnetic abilities.

Phoenix Loki - Loki wielding the Phoenix Force, a combination of trickery and sheer power.

Iron Venom - Tony Stark in a Venom-enhanced Iron Man suit.

A Thor with cybernetic enhancements, mixing Asgardian magic and technology.

A reanimated, undead version of Steve Rogers with all his tactical genius intact.

Doctor-Deadpool, Deadpool with mystical powers like doctor strange, even more unpredictable than usual.

A Ghost Rider Black Widow - Natasha Romanoff with the Spirit of Vengeance.

Doctor Strange enhanced by a symbiote, combining magic and alien abilities.

A Peter Parker with the intellect and armor of Doctor Doom.

A Colossus in a Hulkbuster suit, with immense strength and durability.

A T'Challa transformed into a powerful werewolf.

A mix of Psylocke's telekinetic powers and Punisher's arsenal in a Psylocke variant.

A Mystique with Taskmaster's ability to mimic fighting styles.

A Sam Wilson with the abilities of Ghost Rider, wielding a flaming chain.

A combination of Bucky Barnes' and Jessica Drew's abilities in a Spider-woman variant who was the winter soldier.

A Vampire version of Blade who's like Dracula, the vampire hunter, as an actual vampire.

Scott Lang enhanced by the powers of the Hulk, combining shrinking abilities with gamma strength.

A Storm with optic blasts, controlling both weather and devastating energy.

A Emma Frost with the Hellfire abilities of Ghost Rider.

Peter-Knull and the others listened, their expressions growing graver with each description.

"So, yeah," Punisher-Pool finished with a grin through a mask, "you've got quite the parade coming your way. And believe me, they're all gunning for you. Hope you've got more friends like me to help. By the way, can I get that Tic Tac now?"

Peter-Knull simply shrugged, his symbiote forming a tendril that pulled out a piece of mint gum from within. "If it means you'll shut up now, you can have it."

With that, he unwrapped the gum and shoved it into Punisher-Pool's mouth. "Just... try and behave yourself. I've got a patrol to finish."

Punisher-Pool grinned around the gum, nodding enthusiastically. "Mmm, minty fresh! Thanks, big guy."

Peter-Knull rolled his eyes and called in to the SHIELD operator over his communicator. "This is Peter-Knull. We've apprehended an assailant who claims there are more on the way. Sending coordinates now for pickup. We'll need extra security—this guy's information suggests we're dealing with some heavy hitters."

As he received confirmation, Peter-Knull turned to Miles Morales and Jessica Drew. "Keep an eye on him until SHIELD gets here. I'll finish the patrol and circle back."

Miles nodded, his eyes serious. "Got it. Be careful out there."

Jessica added, "And if you run into any more surprises, give us a shout."

Peter-Knull gave them a brief nod before launching himself off the building, resuming his patrol. As he moved through the city, he couldn't help but think about the strange collection of adversaries heading their way. The calm days might be over soon, and they needed to be ready.

Meanwhile, back with the others, Punisher-Pool, still grinning, winked at Jessica again. "You know, this mint gum really brings out my better side. Maybe I should switch to it permanently."

Jessica sighed, rolling her eyes. "Just stay quiet and wait for SHIELD. We're not in the mood for your jokes."

Punisher-Pool pretended to zip his lips, then leaned back against the wall, humming a tune as they waited. The quiet didn't last long, but at least for now, they had one less immediate threat to worry about.

In the SHIELD facility, Punisher-Pool sat in a secure holding cell, his hands and feet bound, yet still managing to be animated. Peter Parker, Spider-Gwen, Miles Morales, and Jessica Drew were giving their statements to the SHIELD agents. Peter was still rubbing his bandaged arm where the bullet had grazed him, wincing slightly.

Nick Fury arrived with several interrogators, Logan, and Laura in tow. As the group entered the room, they were met with the incessant chatter of Punisher-Pool.

"Hey! Nick Fury, the man with the plan and a fabulous eye patch! Glad you could join us. So, where was I? Oh yeah, my full name is Frank Wilson Castlepool, but you can call me Punisher-Pool. My origins? Let's see, I was just a kid from Brooklyn who loved comic books, and then one day, bam! I'm mixing up Frank Castle's tough-as-nails attitude with Wade Wilson's... well, let's call it charm. You get the idea. Oh, and by the way, did you know that in my world, we have a hero called Logando? Yeah, that's right! Logan and Wendigo all rolled into one hairy, angry package. Fought him once, crazy stuff, man. He had claws, fangs, and the breath of a hundred-year-old dead moose."

Logan's eyebrow twitched slightly, but he said nothing, arms crossed and posture firm. Laura stood next to him, equally unimpressed but prepared for any sudden moves.

"So, as I was saying," Punisher-Pool continued, "I got hired by this mysterious benefactor, real shady guy, you know? He plucked a bunch of us from different realities. Let's see, there's the Green-Goblin version of Scarlet Witch—she's one babe you do not want to mess with, trust me. Then there's the Hulk with Wolverine claws, Cyclops with my healing factor, and a version of Magneto who controls plants instead of metal. Oh, and don't forget the Doctor Octopus who's also a sorcerer, talk about multi-tasking! There's a Black Panther with Spider-Man's powers, a Venomized Thanos, and even an Iron Man who's basically Doctor Doom with a better PR team."

Fury exchanged a look with Logan, who seemed taken aback by the sheer volume of information and the bizarre nature of it all.

"And that's not all!" Punisher-Pool continued, seemingly taking a breath only to launch into another tirade. "We got a Captain America who's actually a vampire—Captain Drac, if you will—a Thor who's part Groot, an Ant-Man who's always giant-sized, a Hawkeye who's blind but uses echolocation like Daredevil, and a Storm who's always on fire. Oh, and there's this one guy who's just a giant eyeball. No joke, just an eyeball with legs. Creepy as hell, but surprisingly effective in a fight."

Laura leaned over to Logan, muttering, "Does this guy ever shut up?"

Logan shook his head slightly. "Doesn't seem like it. Never thought I'd meet someone who talks more than Wade."

Punisher-Pool's eyes lit up. "Oh, oh! And I almost forgot! There's a Ghost Rider who rides a flaming unicycle. You think he'd look ridiculous, but nope, he's terrifying. And let's not forget the Deadpool-Groot hybrid. Imagine Wade's jokes, but every punchline ends with 'I am Groot.' It's comedy gold, I tell ya!"

Fury, maintaining his composure, finally spoke up. "Alright, that's enough. We need actionable intel, not a rundown of every bizarre variant you've ever met."

Punisher-Pool grinned. "Sure thing, boss man. But you gotta admit, it's one heck of a lineup. Anyway, the big boss who hired us, he's planning something huge. Bigger than anything you've seen. And trust me, I've seen a lot."

Fury nodded, glancing at Logan and Laura. "Let's keep him talking, see what else we can get out of him."

Four hours had passed, and Frank Wilson Castlepool—Punisher-Pool—still hadn't stopped talking. His endless chatter had begun to grate on everyone in the room. He detailed every bizarre encounter, theory, and random thought that crossed his mind.

"And then there was this one time I heard about a Peter Parker variant," Punisher-Pool said, nudging towards Laura. "Can you believe it? This Peter got together with that babe over there! Crazy, right? And the best part is, they also knew Peter-Knull!"

The room fell silent for a moment, everyone blinking in surprise at the unexpected revelation. Laura, caught off guard, raised an eyebrow. "What did you just say?"

Punisher-Pool grinned, clearly enjoying the attention. "Oh yeah, it was wild. In that universe, Peter Parker and you, Laura, were an item. And Peter-Knull was part of their little team. Guess some things are just meant to be, huh?"

Logan, visibly frustrated, rubbed his temples. "Can we get back to the part where you tell us about the benefactor and the threat we're facing?"

Punisher-Pool nodded enthusiastically. "Right, right, back to business. So, this benefactor of ours is pulling strings from behind the scenes, gathering all these crazy variants for some big plan. It's huge, like end-of-the-world huge. And he's got resources, man. You wouldn't believe the stuff he's pulling together. He's got this whole army of mixed-up heroes and villains, and they're all aiming for your buddy Peter-Knull here."

Nick Fury sighed, clearly tired of the endless rambling but intent on extracting as much useful information as possible. "Do you have any idea what his endgame is?"

Punisher-Pool shrugged. "Beats me. All I know is he's got it out for Peter-Knull and wants to make sure he's too busy dealing with us to focus on whatever bigger plan he's got."

Spider-Gwen exchanged a look with Miles Morales. "This is getting crazier by the minute."

Jessica Drew, still trying to process everything, asked, "Did you say he has an army of variants? How many are we talking about here?"

Punisher-Pool leaned back, thinking. "Oh, dozens at least. Maybe more. He's got everyone from a Magneto who controls water to a Doctor Strange who's a literal dragon. It's like he's collecting the weirdest, most powerful versions of everyone you know."

Nick Fury rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "We need to get ahead of this. If this benefactor is planning something big, we need to be ready."

Punisher-Pool nodded, his expression uncharacteristically serious for a moment. "You do that. And while you're at it, maybe get me a burger or something? All this talking's made me hungry."

Logan rolled his eyes. "Great. Now he's hungry. Just what we needed."

Peter Parker, still rubbing his bandaged arm, couldn't help but chuckle. "Just when you think things can't get any weirder..."

Punisher-Pool's voice echoed behind them. "Oh, and if you find Logando, tell him I said hi! That guy owes me a rematch!"

Logan, visibly annoyed, asked, "Logando? Really?"

Punisher-Pool grinned widely. "Oh, yeah! Logando was this variant of you, Logan. A Wendigo with all your powers. That guy was something else!"

Before the group could leave the room, a call came in. "Peter-Knull has arrived at the facility with... a Nightcrawler that looks a little like Blade, and a... Mystique who is awfully close to another Peter Parker variant. The Nightcrawler one is tied up, and they're en route to your location."

Nick Fury's brow furrowed. "Bring them in."

Moments later, Peter-Knull entered the meeting room, carrying the restrained Nightcrawler/Blade variant. He propped the captive onto the table, the figure glaring around but making no moves to escape from his bindings. Following Peter-Knull were a Mystique and a Peter Parker variant, the latter in a blue costume instead of the usual red, black, and white.

Peter-Knull leaned against the wall, arms crossed. "Yeah, I found that Nightcrawler/Blade variant in a vampire den, killing some vampires outside the city after one of my Grey-Sym symbiotes picked up his scent. And these two are old friends of mine from another universe I visited before—the sixth one, if I'm remembering correctly. They've been displaced here just as much as Mr. Mouth-Pool over there… their together…"

It took a moment for everyone to process this new information. Logan, taken aback, asked, "Wait?! You mean, that world's Mystique and that world's Peter are...?!"

As if to answer his question, the blue-suited Spider-Man wrapped his arms around his Mystique. She blushed slightly, wrapping her arms over her head and around his neck.

"Yeah," Peter-Knull confirmed, "they're a couple in that universe. It's a long story, but they've been through a lot together."

Logan shook his head, still trying to wrap his mind around everything. "This just keeps getting weirder."

Nick Fury, ever the pragmatist, stepped forward. "Alright, we need to get all the information we can from these new arrivals. Peter-Knull, stay here and assist with the interrogation. We need to figure out what this benefactor's next move is and how to counter it."

Peter-Knull nodded. "Got it."

Logan, Laura, and the others turned their attention back to Punisher-Pool, who, unsurprisingly, had continued talking throughout the entire exchange.

"And then there was the time I fought this guy who looked just like Logan, but he was part Wendigo! Talk about a hairy situation," Punisher-Pool quipped, clearly enjoying his own joke.

"Focus," Fury ordered. "We need more information on this benefactor. Let's start with what he looks like."

Punisher-Pool grinned, eager to provide more details. "Oh, this guy's got quite the look. Red outfit, fiery demeanor, a little devilish. A lot like my world's Mephisto, but more... demon-less, scaly like a lizard. So, I can guess he's a Mephisto you know of and—"

At that point, Nick Fury signaled his men to gag Punisher-Pool, cutting off his excessive babble. "That's enough for now. We'll get more information from him later. Everyone, get some sleep. I'll arrange for living arrangements for the Peter and Mystique couple for now until we can find a way back to their universe."

Before leaving the room, Fury turned to Peter-Knull. "What about the Nightcrawler/Blade variant?"

Peter-Knull shrugged and pulled up a chair to sit across from the Nightcrawler/Blade variant. The variant had been observing everything quietly until now. Peter-Knull undid the bindings on the variant, handing back his weapons before relaxing in his seat.

"So?" Peter-Knull asked, his tone calm. "After hearing all of that, are you more willing to talk now?"

The Nightcrawler/Blade variant studied Peter-Knull for a moment before speaking. "You freed me. That's a good start. Name's Kurt. And yes, I'll talk."

Peter-Knull nodded, leaning back in his chair. "Alright, Kurt. We're not your enemies here unless you make us your enemies. It'll depend on you."

Kurt sheathed his weapons and leaned forward slightly.

Kurt, the Nightcrawler/Blade variant, sheathed his weapons and leaned forward slightly, studying Peter-Knull for any sign of deceit. He found none. Memories of the earlier encounter where this symbiote king variant had tried to talk to him surfaced. Peter-Knull had offered him an olive branch, and now, Kurt realized he might have overreacted.

He took a deep breath, nodding slowly. "Alright, I may have overreacted back there. Different universe, different rules. But I'll cooperate. You trusted me enough to give me back my weapons. That means something."

Peter-Knull shrugged, a small smile playing on his lips. "It's alright. We understand. Being in a different universe can be disorienting. We're all just trying to navigate this as best as we can."

Kurt nodded, feeling a weight lift off his shoulders. "Thanks. I appreciate that."

Peter-Knull signaled to Fury, indicating that he would stay for a moment to ensure Kurt was comfortable. Fury gave a nod of acknowledgment.

Logan, Laura, and the others watched the exchange, the tension in the room slowly dissipating. They could see that Kurt was genuinely trying to adjust and find his place in this new environment.

"Alright," Peter-Knull said, leaning back in his chair. "Let's make sure you're settled in. If you need anything, just let us know."

Kurt relaxed slightly, grateful for the understanding. "I will. And thanks again."

As the group began to disperse, Peter-Knull stayed back with Kurt, ensuring he was comfortable and had everything he needed. The night had been long and filled with unexpected revelations, but it seemed like they were starting to find some semblance of order in the chaos.

…Bottom of Form

At Avengers Tower, the Peter Parker and Mystique couple were getting settled into their new living arrangements. As they walked through the hallways, this world's Mystique passed by and couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. Her Peter Parker variant was holding his Mystique close, whispering something that made her smile as they headed to their assigned room.

Mystique glanced at Irene, silently asking for insight. Irene, also known as Destiny, focused for a moment, looking into the near-term future of the couple. Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped.

"They already have three kids waiting back home for them," Irene whispered in astonishment. "And... she's pregnant with their fourth child."

Mystique's eyes widened in surprise. "Seriously?"

Destiny nodded. "Seriously. Their bond is... very strong."

As the door closed behind the couple, Mystique's curiosity got the better of her. She had to know more about this alternate version of herself and Peter Parker. It was fascinating to see a life so different from her own yet so deeply intertwined with a version of Peter.

Meanwhile, inside the room, Peter and his Mystique settled in. Peter helped her sit down on the bed, rubbing her shoulders gently. "Are you okay?" he asked softly.

She smiled up at him, resting a hand on her flat belly, "I'm fine. It's just... I guess I'm still reajusting. Being in a different universe so suddenly and all."

Peter nodded, leaning down to kiss her forehead. "We'll figure it out. Together."

Mystique wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer. "I believe you."

Back in the hallway, Logan walked by and noticed Mystique and Irene's reactions. "What's got you two all worked up?" he asked.

Mystique glanced at him, still processing the information. "You won't believe it, Logan. That Mystique and Peter... they already have three kids, and she's pregnant with their fourth."

Logan raised an eyebrow. "Well, I'll be damned. Guess anything's possible in the multiverse."

Mystique nodded, still in shock. "Yeah, anything's possible."

As the Avengers Tower slowly settled into the night, the presence of the alternate couple was burned into their minds.

It was an image that none of them would forget anytime soon.

Peter-Knull and Madelyne Pryor moved quietly around the nursery, putting their children to bed. Lucian had fallen asleep clutching his little children's book, a gift from friends during the baby shower. Selene, on the other hand, had dozed off with her favorite cartoonish stuffed symbiote doll, a creation of Victaranea, who had taken up the job as a maid for Avengers Tower. The children were both wrapped up in spider silk blankets, also made by Victaranea.

Peter-Knull gently adjusted Lucian's blanket, making sure his son was comfortable, while Madelyne did the same for Selene. They exchanged a soft smile, a shared moment of parental pride and love. The nightlight, a beautiful gift from Luminous, cast a gentle, calming glow over the room, ensuring their children would sleep soundly.

With their little ones safely tucked in, Peter-Knull and Madelyne quietly left the nursery, closing the door softly behind them. They made their way to their bedroom, the day's events and responsibilities finally allowing them a moment of peace.

Once inside, Madelyne sat on the edge of the bed, taking a deep breath. "They look so peaceful when they're asleep," she said softly, her eyes reflecting a mix of love and exhaustion.

Peter-Knull nodded, sitting beside her. "They do. It's moments like these that make everything worth it."

Madelyne leaned against him, her head resting on his shoulder. "I can't believe how much our lives have changed," she whispered. "From the moment we found out about them to now... it's been a whirlwind."

Peter-Knull wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close. "And it's only going to get more interesting," he said with a small smile.

Madelyne looked up at him, her eyes filled with gratitude and love. "I know. With you by my side, I feel like we can handle anything."

They shared a tender kiss, a moment of quiet intimacy amidst the chaos of their lives.

As they settled into bed, the soft glow of the nightlight from the nursery a comforting reminder of their children's presence, they found solace in each other's arms. The night was peaceful, and for a moment, the world outside could wait.
