Once upon a dark and gloomy night
An evil inter-dimensional demon named Trigon was ready to carry out his evil plan.
To conduct his fiendish deeds, he needed the help of one important person.
There she stood emotionlessly at his side, her blue hood half concealing her face
Half human, half demon, she had little in common with him, yet there were connected.
For this was Raven, one of the Teen Titans - and Trigon's daughter.
"Now, my dear child," said Trigon with a sneer,
"Tonight is the night we will cause the end of the world.
You will lead me into that dimension where you reside with your fellow Teen Titans.
I will put an end all living beings before overthrowing the world,
And it will all be thanks to you!"
Quoth the Teen Titan, Raven, "Azerath Metrion Zinthos!"
A dark blast erupted from the young half human, half demon's hands,
Striking her father in the chest and knocking him onto his back.
At first, Trigon was furious that his child dared to attack him,
But then he thought she was just carrying out father-daughter play.
Deluded into thinking she was showing how he wanted to be like him,
He had no idea she was plotting to save the world from his wicked plot.
"Good one, child," said Trigon as he stood, "you have much to be proud of.
It is you who carries the responsibility of causing the apocalypse,
You who will get rid of those pathetic friends of yours,
You who will lead me to destroying mankind,
You who will make the world all mine!"
Quoth the Teen Titan, Raven, "Azerath Metrion Zinthos!"
Another blast shot out of the purple-haired girl's palms,
This one striking her father harder than before.
It was on receiving this blow that Trigon suddenly realised
That his teenage daughter was rebelling against him.
He was not going to have his plan to take over the world be foiled,
Least of all by his own child.
"Prophet," said Trigon, "you knew as much as I this day would come.
You cannot avoid it even if you wanted to.
I planned it all on the day I created you.
You were destined to lead me into your world to destroy it all,
And there's nothing you can do to stop it!"
Quoth the Teen Titan, Raven, "Azerath Metrion Zinthos!"
Much more force was making up the young superhero's blows
As she attacked her ruthlessly father again and again.
Closer he was getting to the edge of the cliff on which he stood,
A river of scalding hot lava boiling far below.
His four eyes burned with anger towards his daughter
As she levitated herself to be level with his ugly head.
"Now listen, young lady!" Trigon hollered in anger,
"I'm going to go through you to the world I am about to doom,
Whether you like it or not!
One more act of rebellion from you and I shall destroy you along with everything else
Now be a good little girl for your father - and take your form as my door!"
Quoth the Teen Titan, Raven, "Azerath Metrion Zinthos!"
Before Trigon could move to attack his daughter,
All her hatred towards him struck his body.
A deafening scream erupted from him as he slipped backwards and fell off the cliff.
His fate was sealed as he landed in the lava below.
It burned through him easily and roasted him alive,
Bringing an end to him once and for all.
And so Raven, having saved Earth and beaten her father, went home to Titans Tower,
Where she has lived contently with her friends, Robin, Starfire, Beast Boy and Cyborg.
Never again would Trigon threaten to doom all living kinds through her.
Any other villain who tried to disturb the peace would be making a mistake.
All Raven had to do to put an end to such dastardly plans
Was utter those magic words, "Azerath Metrion Zinthos!"
