A/N: I'm being optimistic in the title of this 'sequel' even though after 14x12 additional fan written scenes in these final episodes of Blue Bloods will clearly be needed. This one is short but to me that's the point - it's all that was needed in the episode - just... something. Anything. There are only a handful of episodes left. Sigh.

Chapter 1: 14x12

Jamie waits for the trio of gamblers to file out of the room with their children before taking a step to exit himself and when he does, he sees his wife, dressed in her patrol uniform, leaning against the wall outside the door looking right at him with a small little grin on her face and his face brightens a bit "Hi."

"Hi yourself." Eddie returns as she pushes herself off the wall and the couple begin to walk down the hall "That was very Dad like."

Jamie glances at his wife as they enter his office "What was?"

"You scolding the parents of those kids." Eddie laughs.

Jamie heavily sighs "Not my best case."

"Maybe not." Eddie agrees with a nonchalant shrug "But it did give me some insight into how you might discipline our child."

Slowly a grin creeps up on Jamie's face "It did huh?"

Eddie repeatedly bobs her head up and down "It did." She very impressively states.

Amused by her antics, Jamie shakes his head at his wife "Yeah well we have a long way to go before we get to that part."

"Very true." Eddie agrees "And speaking of…" she begins right as Jamie gets a thought

"Wait what are you doing here?" Jamie interrupts "Shouldn't you be out there protecting the streets?"

"I'm on lunch." Eddie replies with a suggestive little twinkle.

Jamie looks a little sideways at his wife "And you came back here?" he queries confused.

"Yes." Eddie confirms with a big bright prompting smile right as Jamie's computer dings.

"Ummm, last time I checked…" Jamie counters as he leans over to check the incoming message "…the take out here in the precinct sucked."

"Oh, I'm not hungry for food." Eddie dismissively counters.

Jamie very briefly glances up at his wife and the second he does Eddie tries to give him a sassy little come hither look but Jamie, who is already moving to look back at his computer misses it so instead he simply replies "Since when?"

Impatiently rolling her eyes at her husband not getting it, Eddie steps towards him to whisper "Jamie, I came to see if you had some free time right now too so we could, you know..." She suggestively explains "…work on the project we agreed we wanted to get done."

Slowly Jamie turns his head to look at his wife "Project?" he at first states in slight confusion but then it clicks "Ohhhhh!" he adds in recognition of what his wife is talking about before a second later adding "Oh." in all seriousness.

"Wow took you long enough." Eddie laughs.

"Really?" Jamie questions in surprise and shock as he looks around the precinct "Now? Here?"

"No not here!" Eddie chides "Home." She clarifies "But the longer we stand here discussing this. The less time we have to do it so what's it going to be Jamie, because I have to tell you, you look hot in that suit."

For a moment Jamie just looks at his wife "When did lunch start?"

"15 minutes ago." Eddie replies.

Jamie sucks in a breath of air "That's gonna be tight." He notes as he looks at his watch trying to calculate the time needed to get to the apartment, do what they need to do and get back.

"We'll just have to work fast." Eddie reasons.

Jamie frowns "There's fast…" He begins "And then there's…"

"Badillo is picking me up outside the apartment." Eddie interrupts.

Jamie immediately shuts his mouth.

"It gives us more time." Eddie arrogantly explains "Happy?"

"Wow you thought of everything." Jamie impressively notes as he moves to turn the screen of his computer off.

"You must be rubbing off on me." Eddie tosses back.

At hearing his wife's words, a playful smirk appears on Jamie's his face and he opens his mouth with a brash comeback of his own on the tip of his tongue but doesn't get it out for Eddie, realizing the opening she just gave her husband, immediately holds up a finger in protest.

"Don't." she warns.

"Wow now who's scolding?" Jamie laughs before moving to usher his wife out the door of this office with him as they hurry to leave in an attempt to try to expand their family in the short amount of free time they both have.
