August lied, but Gold said he knew exactly he would, so instead of going to his trailer he went to the fairies and brought a potion. The potion contained the reserve magic of the earlier one, which made Pinocchio a real boy years ago. Gold made him drink it, so he transformed to a wood-puppet again. A man sized puppet. But the potion had a temporary effect. After a few seconds later he was a man again. The point was, the fairy's magic activated the lie-detector in August's body. And everybody knows what happened in the fairytale with Pinocchio if he was lying. His nose grew. So Gold grabbed him and put his face next to the stove and started questioning him about the Author.
Regina hoped the Charmings or Emma had a plan now, because even the effects of the potion were hurtful for August. He was lying when he was answering the first questions, so his nose just grew closer to the fire.
"Okay, okay." August gave up. "The Sorcerer closed the Author behind the door."
"He is speaking in riddles." Cruella said.
"No, listen to me, Gold." August said quickly. "You know about the Sorcerer and she…" He turned his face to Regina. "She knows about the door."
Regina looked back confused.
"I know my papa gave you my things. When we were at your office." August continued. "There was a page I took out of the book. Had an illustration about a door on it?"
"Regina?" Gold asked, he still took August close to the stove.
"They were just scraps of paper." Regina said.
"Then you'll have no problem sharing it with us."
"Well, I would, If I hadn't already given them to Henry." Regina answered.
Gold asked August about the door, he described it to him and added the door is somewhere in Storybrooke.
Gold was satisfied, Regina not really. And when the Dark One announced she had to go with him and Maleficent to find the door the situation got worse. They were going at first to the Sorcerer's mansion where they thoroughly checked every door. Regina felt really tired but when she sat down, Maleficent mocked her about her "condition" so she stood up and pretended she was also doing a serious investigation. She didn't want Gold to get to know about her pregnancy, if he already didn't know about it. Regina didn't recognize the door and she was not lying. She knew exactly what kind of door August was talking about and it was not in the mansion. It was dark already when they left the building. Cruella was waiting for them.
"What are you doing here? Where is August?" Gold asked.
"The heroes saved them." Cruella rolled her eyes when said the word heroes.
"You have one simple task." Gold reminded her.
"It wasn't my task. We have a mole." Cruella answered. She looked tormented.
"Who would be foolish enough to cross us?" Maleficent asked from Gold.
Regina was nervous. If they realized she sent a message to the Charmings, it would mean the end. She didn't want to think about what they would do with her.
"I know exactly who." Cruella said and looked at Regina. "Ursula."
Regina almost sighed because of the relief.
"She had a reunion with Daddy Dearest." Cruella added.
"We may have lost one of us, but we still have the information." Gold said and turned to Regina. "Bring us the illustration."
Regina nodded. Finally she'll get rid of them for a short time.
—
Regina went directly to the Charming's flat. August was already there, he was laying on the couch, but he looked okay. Emma was standing in the kitchen, she tried to ask about Regina, but before she could say something she had to go to the bathroom.
"Is she still sick?" Henry asked Emma. His mother didn't even say hello to him.
"You know, kid, these things are like this." Emma said diplomatically.
"Maybe we should bring her to the hospital. She was with them for two days. Dr. Whale could check the baby." Henry said. He was worrying so much, he just forgot about August's presence.
"Oh, is she…?" August asked quietly Emma.
Emma nodded.
"Yes, but this is a secret. Right, Henry?" Emma reminded her son. "If Regina wants to go to the hospital, we will accompany her. Just let me talk with her, okay?"
Henry sighed and started reading the book again. When Regina went out of the bathroom, August pretended he was sleeping, Henry just smiled at her and he let Regina caressed his hair.
"We are lucky he is okay." Regina said to Emma and looked at August.
"It wasn't luck. You got us that message. Thank you." Emma answered and gave a cup of tea to Regina. "Are you okay? We can go to the hospital, if you feel like that."
Regina shook her head.
"No, I'm okay. I'm just really tired."
"You have to sleep, at least for one night." Emma said.
Regina took the mug, it was hot and it warmed up her hands.
"I need your help with something, Emma." Regina knew this was not their biggest issue, but she was still thinking about her dream. She knew Emma would take her words seriously, even though they sound really crazy.
"What is it?" Emma asked.
"I had a dream today. It'll sound a little bit… umm… strange, but it's not just hormones or anything."
"I'm listening."
Regina sighed.
"I was walking in the forest, there was a big fog and suddenly a girl started shouting after me. She… I think she was my daughter."
Emma nodded, she didn't even raise her eyebrow.
"She said to me, I have to help Robin, because a woman will hurt him."
"A woman?" Emma repeated.
"Yes. I have a really bad intuition. I think Robin is in trouble."
"Okay, well you can call him, you already should've when your pregnancy turned out.."
Regina didn't say anything, just drank from her mug.
"You don't want to call him, right?" Emma found out. "But I don't understand, why?"
"Well, if this dream was due to hormones or exhaustion after all and they are living happily in New York, then my call would be a disaster. For everybody."
"Regina, I know the situation is not perfect, but as I said Robin is the father of your child. He has the right to know about it." Emma said patiently.
"It is not about that, Emma." Regina said.
"Yes, it's about Marian, I know, she can't come back, but let Robin make his choice."
"Exactly. I've already let him. Twice, actually. And he chose Marian. Two times, Emma."
"It was not that simple." Emma snapped.
"It was. I don't deserve a happy ending with a man, but maybe I could be happy with my children. And to be honest, I don't want my daughter to be the second choice to anybody. Especially not to her father."
"Okay, I got it." Emma said. "How can I help you?"
"Please, could you call him and ask him if he is okay?" Regina asked.
Emma looked surprised, she chuckled.
"Because that is not fishy if I call him."
"You were so proud your job was to disguise yourself." Regina reminded her.
"Okay." Emma nodded. "I will try to find out something."
"Thank you."

August told them the door was really in Storybrooke, but not in a house or in the mansion. The page about the door is the door. But after a few sentences he got worse. Emma ordered Regina to sleep a few hours and Henry undertook to watch after her. It was the time when Regina felt she didn't have energy to fight them so she laid down a little.
The witches and Gold started asking after her when she and Henry went to the fairy's. Emma took August to the Blue Fairy and asked her help. Mother Superior said August should be really strong to survive this, because he was transformed by magic a lot of time.
Regina got a message from Gold, it was pretty clear he was expecting her results.
"If I returned empty-handed, whatever suspicions they have of me will be confirmed." Regina said to Emma and Henry when they came out from August's room.
"Then give them this." Emma said, she handed her palm and she conjured a copy of the page with the door."
"You are getting good, mom, but we do not let her go back to them." Henry said to Emma.
Regina chuckled.
"I'm standing right here, next to you, sweetheart and I'm not a child."
"I know, I'm sorry, I'm just worrying, it's really not okay to spend time with them." Henry said.
"Henry, I'm pregnant, not sick. I can look after myself. But I don't think Gold will believe in me if I go back with a forgery." Regina said and took the paper from Emma.
"Maybe Henry is right, Regina. Just pull out and we'll protect you."
"No, we still don't know what they're up to. It's a bigger risk not to know." Regina said and something came to her mind. "The forgery is not enough, but we can have a different kind of copy." She took out her phone and took a picture of the door.
"Because all they care about is what the door looks like." Emma nodded. "They don't know, the page is the actual door."
"Hopefully this photo will keep them on their wild goose chase around him." Regina said and sent the photo. She turned to Henry. "I've got to get going. Bye, Henry." Henry hugged her tightly.
"Just be careful, okay?"
Regina smiled at him when they let each other go.
"I'm starting to think that you love your sibling more than me."
"Of course not, but now that is my job to protect you." Henry said.
Emma put her arms around Henry.
"It is our job, because we are a family." She said.
Regina said goodbye to them, as she went out from the fairy's she wiped away her tears. Damn hormones.
—
"Killian, what's wrong?" Emma asked when they returned home with Henry.
Mary Margaret, David and Killian were in the flat, it was obvious they were speaking about a serious thing.
"Before Ursula left with her father, she told me what the villains had planned." Killian answered. He looked exhausted and troubled. "To get their happy-ending they have to darken your heart, love. To turn into a villain, so you'll no longer be the Savior."
"What? You can't just un-Savior the Savior." Henry said.
"Ursula said Gold has a way. He can use the Author to do it." Killian sighed.
"It's ridiculous." Emma scoffed confident. "Author or not Author, I am not going dark."
"But darkness is a funny thing, it creeps up on you." Killian said.
"Hey!" Emma stepped closer to him and smiled at him. "No one, no Rumplestilskin or Author get decided who I am." She hugged Killian, who tightened her and kissed her cheek.
"It is enough, David, we have to say to her." Mary Margaret whispered to her husband.
"We can find out something." David said.
Mary Margaret shook her head.
"We have to be honest. Everything has gone too far. Regina, August… " She didn't wait for David's answer just cleared her throat and addressed her words to Emma. "We have to speak."
"About what?" Emma asked.
"I think we should sit down." Mary Margaret said.
Mary Margaret started with her vision back in the Enchanted Forest. She saw her child as a villain and she admitted this whole thing was her fault, not David's. Her husband opposed her, he was just as much a part of it than Mary Margaret.
Emma lost her temper, she asked directly what they were talking about. And David finished the hardest part of the story. Because of them Maleficent lost her child, they sent every darkness from Emma to the baby, they believed it was just a monster, like her mother, but it was an innocent child. The baby fell somewhere dark, alone, motherless. The reason why they asked Regina to pretend she is evil again, because Ursula and Cruella witnessed their act. They saw when the baby fell in the portal and after they followed it by accident. Because of the Charmings, but this part was not so harmful for Emma, than the fate of the baby. They lied to her.
"You lied to me." That was Emma's first sentence. "I wanted to believe you. In you."
"We were just trying to protect you." David said.
Hook wanted to take Emma's hand, but she pulled away from him.
"Did you tell Regina the truth?"
Mary Margaret nodded slowly. "Emma, listen to me…"
Emma shook her head.
"You let a pregnant woman risk her life because of your sins and let a woman who can turn into a dragon to kidnap a six year old boy, who is now fighting for his life, because you are cowards."
Mary Margaret was staring at the table, David looked into his daughter's face.
"I have to go." Emma said. She didn't care about Killian or Henry, she just felt she needed some fresh air.
Mary Margaret stood up and almost ran after her.
"Please, stop, Emma. I'm your mother."
Emma grabbed the doorknob and turned to her.
"I don't care."
—
"Well I say, we just slit her throat right now. Get over it, she made a fool of us." Cruella said. Regina was laying on the ground in her vault. Gold and the two witches were standing above her.
"No." It was Gold.
"If it's too messy for you darling, Mal can incinerate her."
"We're doing nothing of the sort." Gold stopped her.
"She'll never help us." Maleficent said.
"Of course she'll. She just doesn't know it yet. I have something that the moment she gets to know, will make Regina do my bidding forever. Please ladies, just leave us alone."
Regina woke up half an hour later. Her hands were tied and she just remembered she tried to make the witches and Gold believe she still didn't know where the door was. Rumplestilskin already should've known something, because he didn't even wait for her explanation. They used magic on her. She absolutely did not remember how on earth she got to her vault. When she opened her eyes, she instinctively put her tied hands on her belly.
"Don't worry about that, we didn't harm you." Gold said.
Regina sat up immediately.
"So I'm your prisoner." Regina stated.
"You chose the wrong side, dearie. You lied to us."
"What about everything you said to me? Before you left Storybrooke, you told me you wish me to find my happiness." Regina snapped at him.
"It's true. But not at my expense." Gold sighed. "You see the affection I have for you… well… there are limits."
"What happened to you?" Regina asked.
"I lost everything. Just as you'll if you don't do what I say."
Regina rolled her eyes.
"At first, as your former teacher, I have to warn you about something. Maybe you believed or believe you are really smart and sly, but you are not, Regina. In your entire life you were really simple-minded."
Regina rolled her eyes, but she had no other choice, just to listen to him.
"At first, you wanted to take revenge on the wrong person for years, she was not the guilty one in a crime that you couldn't forget for years. But you finally did, found your happy ending and watched as he left the town with his pretty little family."
"What do you want, Gold?" Regina asked. She was fed up with his speech.
"I found this in your pocket." Gold answered and he took a piece of paper from his own pocket. "Telephone number registered to Robin Locksley."
"Give it back!" Regina snapped at him.
"I think you have this, because you are worried about poor Robin. About your child's father."
Regina shook her head. Of course he knew.
"He is out there in the cold, harsh world." He continued mocking. "And so you should be."
"What do you know that I don't?" Regina was scared. "What happened to Robin?" She stood from the ground so fast, she almost fainted.
Gold disappeared the robe from your hands and gave her back the paper and her phone.
"Ask him yourself. Call." He said.
Regina panicked.
"And I have to tell you one more thing, Regina." Gold stepped away from her. "That." He pointed to her belly with his index finger. "It's a more valuable thing that your pretty little head can process. Stronger than the product of true love. If I were you, I would take better care of it."
Regina's hands were shaking. She tried not to pay attention to his words, she didn't want to cry in front of him. Just didn't even have to dial Robin's number, she had it in her phone. She wanted to give this piece of paper to Emma.
For an eternity the bloody phone was ringing when finally he picked it up.
"Robin?" Regina asked excitedly.
"No, it is not Robin."
It was a female voice.
"Marian." Regina stated. She didn't even recognize her voice at first.
"Not exactly. Hello, sis!"
Regina looked at Gold, she was in shock. Gold could read from her face that she realized the truth. She had to sit down. It's impossible.
"No. It can't be."
The female voice on the phone chuckled.
"Oh, but it is."
"I saw you die."
"You thought you saw me die." Zelena answered.
"Where is Robin?" Regina lost her temper. She has to go there immediately. This psychopath witch was alive and she is around Robin. She will hurt him. Her dream was really a warning, a sign.
"What have you done with him?"
"I haven't done anything except love and honor him, in sickness and in health to have and to hold and all that other wifely nonsense." Zelena said.
"I don't understand." Regina's eyes were tearful.
"Well, you don't have to. All you need to know is that when your precious Robin thinks it's his wide-eyed wife cooking dinner for him every night, it's actually me."
Regina didn't say anything, just staring on the ground.
"I have to go, sis, he'll be home soon and I have meatloaf in the oven."
"No." That was the only thing that came out of Regina's mouth. "No." She looked at Gold, who nodded.
"I hear you need a moment. Take it. I'm pretty sure we'll see each other very soon. Ta-ta."
"You. You knew it." Regina said to Gold, when Zelena hung up the call.
"Yes, I did. And that's why you'll do everything I want. Because one call from me, and your child's father died at the hands of your sister." Gold was really calm.
"She murdered your son." Regina raised her voice. That's nonsense.
"Zelena and I have to come to an understanding. And now you and I have an understanding as well. Regina, you are vital to my plan to turn the Savior towards darkness."
"No way." Regina shook her head. "You made me a monster. I won't let you do the same with Emma."
Gold sighed and easily took away her phone from her hand.
"So you've made your choice, have you? You are choosing the Savior over your baby's father? Is that your final answer?"
