"How could she be so stupid?" Regina was really angry at her. Emma sacrificed herself because of her. What was she thinking of?

"Regina!" David reminded her.

"Well, there had to be another way!" Regina snapped at him.

"There wasn't." Mary Margaret cried. "That thing was going to kill you. She saved your life. Your baby's life."

"Don't you think I know that?" Regina sighed.

"And now she is the Dark One." Henry appeared.

"Now she is a problem for all of us." Regina said.

"She is still good." Mary Margaret shook her head.

"I hope so. It's not like she rode off on a unicorn. She got sucked up by a vortex of evil." Regina felt miserable. If Emma died it would happen because of her.

"Where is she? Where has she gone?" Robin asked, looking at the others confused.

"Doesn't bloody matter." Hook answered and headed off to the dagger.

"Mate, don't…" Robin tried to stop him, but he pushed him away.

"Get out of my way!"

Hook took the dagger. "If we can't find her, I can damn well bring her to me." He raised it. "Dark One, with this dagger, I command thee… Return!

Nothing happened. The night was still silent.

"Dark One. Appear!" Hook shouted.

"Put that thing down before you hurt yourself, Guyliner." Regina warned him. "I thought you knew the dagger's rules."

"With it, I can summon the Dark One from any corner of the world." Hook said.

"Well there's your answer. Emma is not in this world."

The Apprentice was laying on a bed at Gold's shop. The Blue Fairy was with him, keeping a wet cloth on his forehead. He didn't look good.

"Apprentice, the monstrosity took Emma. Where did they go?" Hook asked immediately as they entered the room.

"She is now where all darkness is born." The old man answered hoarsely. "In your realm."

"Then take us there." Hook said.

The Apprentice closed his eyes. "I'm too weak now." He raised his hand and conjured a wand. "But with this… It'll help. It is a gift from the Sorcerer, from Merlin. On the day I became his apprentice. In it is all the light magic."

"It can take us to our daughter?" Mary Margaret asked.

"Not on its own. In order to cross realms, it must be wielded as it was forged. With both sides of the coin, the light and the dark." The Apprentice answered.

"Guess that's my cue." Regina sighed and took the wand from the man's hand. The Apprentice looked over at her.

"You can try, but there is a little chance of success."

"I was the Evil Queen, if I'm not dark enough no one in this town is." Regina said.

The Apprentice nodded slowly. "But now you bear one of the lightest and strongest magic inside you."

Regina frowned. How on earth does he know it? Apart from being the Apprentice?

"How this for irony? Emma sacrificed herself for your unborn child and now you can't help her because of it. In addition you have gone soft." Regina didn't like the way Hook spoke with her.

"You wanna see soft?" Regina snapped at him. "Why don't I use that hook to show you your intestines?"

"You've got the fire, love, but not blackness. Not anymore." Hook said fiercely. "No, we need someone wicked."

Before Regina could say anything, Robin immediately interrupted him. "No."

"No way." Regina repeated it in agreement. "Not my sister. That witch is more than wicked, she is deranged."

"For Emma it is worth the risk. She sacrificed herself for you, Your Majesty. Because she believed that an Evil Queen could be good. Don't you think you owe it to her to repay the favor?"

Regina admitted he was right. She looked at Robin, his eyes were filled with despair, turning to Hook and nodded slowly.

All of them left the room, Regina intentionally left behind. She hoped she could ask something from the Apprentice, until he has his strength.

"You know, I'm with child." She looked at first at the Apprentice, after at the Mother Superior.

"You should've expected this child earlier, the Author was, who manipulated your story." The man sighed, he tried to hand after a glass of water, but the Blue Fairy preceded and took it to his mouth. Regina knew she didn't have much time.

"Rumplestilskin told me my child is more valuable than a product of true love." She said to him.

"It is true in some way." The old man nodded and laid back to his pillow. "The Sorcerer himself was born from the same magic as your child."

Regina frowned and looked at the Blue Fairy.

"The one-soul magic." The Fairy said. She didn't seem unfriendly with Regina, which was also a huge surprise. "It is said we were born to the world with half of our soul, sometimes people find the other part of their soul and it becomes one. It's a really strong magic, able to defeat curses or black magic. Children which are the product of this relationship, called the se're rohal, one-souler, in the common language."

So that was the explanation of her pregnancy. The one-soul magic broke the effect of the potion.

"Merlin's parents were soulmates?" Regina asked.

The Apprentice sighed, he became more and more weak. "Yes. But that's not where his magic came from…" He started coughing.

"But why was my child prophesied?" The Fairy and the Sorcerer didn't answer, the men became more and more weak. Mother Superior tried to give him water and looked at Regina, without a word, she understood, she had to go. She was not fully satisfied, although it was better to know something, than know nothing. Maybe her daughter will have magic, maybe not, she will love her endlessly.

"Regina, dear, I'm trying to meditate." Zelena said she didn't even open her eyes when Regina and Robin entered her cell. Regina wanted to come alone, but Robin insisted on accompanying her. She didn't want to fight with him in front of the others. Hook felt also important to show up in the asylum.

"I need to spend my time on something. Please leave, you're ruining my chi."

"We need your help." Hook said.

Zelena chuckled and stood up from her bed. "Wow! You must be really desperate." She stepped close to Robin. "Unless of course someone was just looking for an excuse to come and see me." She wanted to touch his face, but Robin grabbed her wrist.

"I've never hurt a woman in my life, but you try my patience."

Zelena laughed. "Oh, yes, rough and passionate as in the sheets."

Regina interrupted them before Zelena said something that she never wanted to hear.

"Emma is in trouble and we need a psychopath to save her. Looks like a job for you."

"It's a nice way to ask for a favor." Zelena laughed.

"Okay, enough family squabbling." Hook warned them. "Are you gonna help us find Emma or not?" He turned to Zelena.

"Of course." Zelena smirked at him.

Regina believed she didn't hear well. "What?"

"It's really boring to be here. I'm going to do whatever I can to free Emma of the darkness. Just let me see that wand."

Regina raised her eyebrow.

"Don't worry, the little love bracelet you put on me neutralizes my magic." Zelena showed the cuff to Regina. "I'm powerless, do you remember?"

Regina gave her the wand.

"Oh, yes. It's so simple. You just need an object that guides the portal to its destination. Something that belongs to Emma. Something that is meaningful to her."

"Fine." Regina took away the wand. "That we can do."

"No, you can't. Your magic isn't powerful enough."

"Can you make it work?" Hook asked.

Zelena chuckled and raised her wrist with the bracelet. "I think so. But this tiny thing is a problem."

"Never." Regina announced and left the cell. She heard her sister was laughing. Hook and Robin followed her.

"We have to think about it." Hook said when they were standing in the corridor. Zelena couldn't hear them now, her door was closed.

"Are you out of your mind?" Regina asked. "Finally we caught her."

"She is the only one who can help us. To find Emma. I don't care about your feelings."

"It's not about her feelings. This woman killed my wife and took over her role." Robin said. "She won't help us, she got the wand and caused more trouble than we are in."

"That's not Emma's fault that you were so stupid you didn't recognize your own wife." Hook lost his temper.

"Enough!" Regina raised her voice, before Robin could respond. "We don't release her. End of the conversation." She turned away and tried to leave them, but Robin followed her.

"Regina, wait."

"What is it?"

They were on the stairs already. Hook walked past them.

"Zelena's insinuation about… about her and I… she is lying."

Regina sighed. She was tired, she wanted to help Emma and was fed up with that Zelena was Marian thing.

"I don't care, Robin. You are a free man, do what you want."

"I couldn't even watch Marian."

"I'm sorry, but I don't have time for this. I have to help Emma. The one who went to the shop and bought me a fucking pregnancy test when I was throwing up for days. The one who comforted me when I freaked out about raising a child alone again. Because my child's father was faraway at that point living his life with his pretty family." Regina said.

"That's not fair."

Regina chuckled. "Yes, it was not."

"You let her out?" Regina got really angry. This pirate lost his mind. Not only did he just let Zelena run, he also took Henry with him. His son was near that maniac.

"Technically, I let her escape." Killian explained. At least he looked like he felt a little bit ashamed.

"Moron." Regina snapped at him.

"Watch it, Your Majesty. At least I'm doing something to save Emma." Hook was furious too, he raised his voice.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Regina asked.

"Maybe you like being Henry alone. Maybe you like not having Emma around."

Regina rolled her eyes. This man completely lost his mind.

"Maybe you like having a hook. Maybe you'd like another."

"Enough! Zelana is out, that is what matters." Mary Margaret warned them. "But not as much as Emma. Emma kept us united and that is exactly how we are going to remain. Come hell, or high water, we are going to put our nonsense aside. And find my daughter. Okay?"

Regina and Hook looked at each other like they still wanted to kill the other one.

"Okay. Where would Zelena go first?"

Regina sighed.

"I know exactly where."

Neal and Roland were asleep. Mary Margaret asked Robin to look after his son for a short time, while Regina, her and David tried to make a plan. At least you practice. The princess said. He was watching the baby in his crib. He never thought about a new child, but he'll be a father again. Soon. Well, not so soon, only in February, but he will have a daughter. He still didn't understand why Regina said they'll have a girl, but he believed her because he also had a feeling. He will have a daughter, but he won't have Regina.

Someone opened the door, he stood up and went down the stairs.

"Robin?" It was Regina.

"Shh, they are asleep." Robin said, but he frowned at Regina. She looked really worried. At least she was talking to him.

"I'm sorry. I was just worried." Regina grabbed his hand. It should've been a really deep big problem.

"What's wrong?" Robin asked.

"Zelena. She got out."

Robin immediately understood why Regina changed her behavior. Maybe that bloody witch should be always out of her cell. Small price for Regina's company.

"Come on, we have to get Roland and go. The others are waiting."

Robin smiled at her sadly.

"What?" Regina raised her eyebrow.

"No, just… There should be hope if you are concerned about me."

"Hope? I'm always concerned about you. You should forget anything I said earlier." Regina leaned closer to him and kissed him. And that was the point when Robin understood what was going on.

"Zelena?"

Regina chuckled, she waved with her hand and transformed to her true self. Zelena.

"Well done. You really do love her, don't you? Funny that you couldn't tell when I was glamoured as Marian, though."

"What do you want?" Robin asked.

"Why, you, dear. See, you are the key to everything to me."

That psycho bitch really went for Robin. She kidnapped him and held him captive with his magic. They were standing on the Main Street, in front of the clock tower. Famous place, Regina thought. There was the first time when she tricked Zelena, and would be the second time too.

"Hello, sis. I see you fixed the clock." Zelena grinned at her. "It would be a shame to break it again. Although, it might be fun to see Robin fly like one of his arrows."

Maybe Regina didn't want anything from Robin, but she never would let that damn woman to hurt him.

"You lay another finger on him…"

"Oh, I'm not here to hurt Robin. I'm here to trade him. For the Apprentice's wand."

"What the hell do you want with this?" Regina asked in confusion.

"I'm tired of losing to you. You continue to get everything! But I decided I will try to find my happy ending. As far from you as possible. Over the rainbow. Where you can't follow."

"Back to Oz?" Regina didn't understand why she wanted to go back.

"I may have been feared and despised there, but at least I was free. At least I was in control. So if you want your forest-smelling boyfriend to live through the day, you will give me that wand." Zelena threatened her.

"Don't even think about it." Hook said.

"You can't, Regina, please."

Regina pretended she was struggling with her thoughts, but she sighed and handed the wand to Zelena.

"I have to."

Zelena laughed and freed Robin from her magic. He was still suffocating but stepped away from Zelena immediately.

"Lovely." The witch started to use the wand. She used her necklace for the direction. It was the necklace what made her able to change herself to Marian.

"Now see me do what you weren't powerful enough to do yourself." Zelena mocked Regina. She circled the wand around the necklace three times and after throwing it away. A green thunder appeared above Storybrooke. That was the portal.

Regina waited for the right moment, and when Zelena painfully sighed she ran to her and took the cuff on her hand again. David helped her to keep Zelena motionless.

"What the hell was that?" Hook asked.

"I'm not stupid." Regina stated and looked into her sister's eyes. "I know you could open that portal, but I knew it would weaken you. You see there's one thing our family does well, sis, and that's exploit pain. We're gonna take your portal, but we're not taking it to Oz." Regina turned to Mary Margaret. "We are taking it to Emma."

-–

They gathered at Granny's. The green smoke was approaching them. Regina took Emma's baby blanket for the direction. Wherever Emma was, they would find her. She told Robin to stay in Storybrooke with his son. She told him that journey would be dangerous for Roland but that man was so annoyingly stubborn. If it is not safe for my son, then that is not safe for my daughter either. I completely understand your standpoints about us, but I have to protect her. I have to protect you, even if you don't want it.

They also took Zelena with us, so Regina can always keep an eye on her.

Regina started using the wand above Emma's baby blanket, the thunder with the portal was closer to them, she needed to be quick.

"Twister!" The doorbell jingled, Leroy shouted as always.

"Leroy!" Mary Margaret raised her voice.

Not just Leroy entered the diner, the other dwarfs were following him.

"It's okay, Leroy. We summoned it." Mary Margaret continued speaking, her voice was more friendly.

"You did?" Dr. Clark asked.

"Out, dwarfs! Adults only." Regina said them.

"No!" Leroy snapped at her.

"No?" Clark looked at Leroy with confusion.

"No. We stay. We've been on the sidelines too long, sister, missed too many adventures. Now it's embarrassing. How do you think it feels when everyone asks you how the adventure was and you gotta say that no one asked you to go along? That you weren't needed? We are not turning our back on you again. Not even in the face of certain death."

Leroy's last sentence was not all dwarfs' favorites, but Mary Margaret was really grateful.

"Thank you."

The next second the whole diner moved, like during an earthquake.

"Hold on tight, everyone!" Granny shouted.

Mary Margaret squeezed his son and the counter, Regina and Robin tried to protect Henry and Roland. Zelena was tied to a chair. After a few rumbling the diner was up in the air.

"You did it, mom." Henry said to Regina.

Regina smiled at him and hugged him.

After that chapter we slow down a little. Events in Camelot and in Storybrooke would happening parallel. :)
