She reads books as one would breathe air, to fill up and live. - Annie Dillard

Prologue

(1)

The failure of Roberts's Rebellion occurred at the Trident with swords and words. The Storm Lord fell to Prince Rhaegar's sword after a deathly duel.

He welcomed death with a woman's name on his lips.

Then occurred a war of words between the Prince and Lord Eddard Stark, who was second in command. There was an exchange of rash words, yelling and brooding.

And the rebellion was crushed.

(2)

Crown Prince Rhaegar returned to the gates of the Red Keep, with an army at his back to overthrow the madness that was sitting on the throne. By the time the prince and his comrades reached the throne room, Ser Jaime's white cloak and sword were covered with the King's blood he swore to protect.

His eyes held no regrets.

(3)

Lord Eddard Stark was given leave by the now King to collect his sister from the Tower of Joy at Dorne, where the famed knights of Kingsguard were present to carry out their friend's order.

Rhaegar and Elia waited for the other half of their soul and the proof of their love to be home.

(4)

Princess Lyanna Targaryen was found in a room that smelled of blood and blue roses. The things said between the brother and sister are unknown.

" She cried. She cried for her father. For her Wild Wolf. For Ashara and her unborn child. For her Quiet Wolf who was forced into war and marriage. For her Little Pup who was scared of waiting in Winterfell. For everyone who lost their lives in the war. For her child whom she couldn't see grow.

She cried for herself. "

A girl who lost everything because of love.

The last thing the princess asked was to protect the child on her dying breath. The knights vowed to protect the little princess. When the promise was made by her brother, the light left the girl's eyes.

No one could separate the Lord and his sister's corpse.

( 4 )

When King Rhaegar was presented with his purple-eyed and black-haired daughter, his inquiry about his second wife was met with silence. The throne room remained silent until Queen Elia grabbed the child from her husband's grasp and declared that she will raise the child as her own with glistening eyes.

Elia was Visenya's Muna until her last breath.

(5)

Visenya hated politics.

She hated KingsLanding. Hated the Red Keep. Hated how they will whisper about her mother like a curse or with awe. Hated how they will dagger you with a smile on their face.

'Bastard'.

They would whisper. She would feel Ser Jaime stiffen and the grip around his sword tightening. With a look, she will dismiss those actions.

'Kingslayer.'

They would whisper. With a glare, she would silence those accusations.

She liked to see her sworn-shield smile. His smile shined like the gold he wore.

(6)

Visenya loved Dragonstone. She loved the cold island and its damp, old stone castle. She loved that she could race around the castle with laughter and jests with her uncle Viserys. She loved Dany and her stories about dragons. She loved her grandmother Rhaella with her soft smile and warm hugs. Loved to see the twinkle in her eyes whenever she and Dany used the ' Big Purple Pool' trick on her.

She would welcome sleep with her grandmother's finger on her scalp doing a slow, calm dance.

(7)

It was Prince Viserys who named Visenya the ' Dragon's Treasure'. It suited the princess well. Visenya of House Stark and Targaryen was a perfect mix of the Kings of Winter and the Dragonlords of Old Valyria.
The otherworldly beauty of Valyrians mixed with the blood of First Men. She had the big purple pools of her father. Her mother's dark curls flowed down to her bosom like a wild, beautiful waterfall. She was a perfect mix of ice and fire.

A song of ice and fire.

(9)

On her 13th name day, the Princess of Summerhall was gifted with seven dragon eggs by a Magister of Pentos.

"Dragon eggs for the Dragon's Treasure."
He informed the people gathered. It may be fate or God's, Dragons were born on a night when a red comet appeared in the sky. They were born from fire and Visenya's blood.

Fire and Blood.

(10)

The North and Winterfell were Visenya's heart lay. Elia and Rhaenys made sure that Red Keep was her home, but it never felt like one. Winterfell with its dark and looming castle, and its old and enormous Godswood bought peace to her. And the people of the North made it feel like she was worthy of their love.

The people of North had fond memories of their Lady Lyanna. The Winter Rose was known throughout the North for her sweet, caring nature, her kindness, fearlessness and as the best rider in the entire land. For the southerners, she was a witch whose beauty caused a war.

No one knew Lya who just wanted freedom and to fly away in her life.

The people of the North never judged a child for their parent's actions
The snow and cold may have made them harsh, but their heart was in the right place.

Visenya sparred with Robb, sewed with Sansa, would teach Arya archery, filled Bran's thirst for stories about the Kingsguard and played with little Rickon. The North was happy to see the pieces of their Wolf Maid.

It warmed Ned's heart to see Senya play with her cousins in the castle's yard.

It reminded him of another wolfmaid and a pup that followed her around.

(11)

Visenya prayed to all the gods across the Narrow sea that her father would allow her to stay at Winterfell forever. She wanted to stay in the snow and cold for the end of her days.

They all felt warm because of someone with a set of blue eyes, red hair and a smile that made her heart flutter.

(12)

When Visenya turned 16, her father walked her down the aisle of the Great Sept to her betrothed, Crown Prince Aegon.
