The next morning, Hope Mikaelson woke up with Landon Kirby's arm around her. Smelling his familiar scent, she smiled a little as her head rested on his chest. She didn't want to leave him. Landon felt her shift a little as she woke up, and he looked down at her. "Morning" he greeted, a loving smile on his face.
"Morning" she said back sleepily and closed her eyes again, just wanting to stay in bed with him.
"I gotta go back to my Foster family today" Landon said with a small sigh, not exactly eager to face those consequences again. The consequences of being gone despite the fact they don't like him being there in general. But being here with Hope was worth it.
"Mmm. How long are you going to be gone? Because I was thinking we could have a date later today"
"I'd like that. A lot" Landon said. "But in the meantime, you can hang out with your aunts and Lizzie. I'm not sure how long it will take, but I'll see you after. I don't have a shift today"
"Okay. I was thinking we find your birth mother soon. See if she can give us some answers about what you are" she said, opening her eyes again and looking at him. She peered into his eyes that she loved so much. That green-gray color she just had the desire to paint.
Landon moved away from her and turned so he could face her, his hand slipping into hers. "You'd do that for me?"
"I would. Of course I would. We can find her, and you can get answers to any questions you have. I'll even do a truth spell if you want me to" Hope chuckled softly. "And it might be the thing we need to find out what you are. Answer the mysterious question of Landon Kirby"
He smiled brightly at that. "I would like that. Thank you"
She leaned forward and pressed her lips to his, tugging him closer to her but not letting go of the hand that had taken hers. He kissed her back, his free hand wrapping around her as her hand traveled up to around his neck, tangling in the curls of his hair.
Eventually Landon forced himself to pull away. "I do need to get going, but I'll see you later, and we can have a whole date day."
"I would love that" Hope said, letting go of Landon and getting out of bed.
He grinned and grabbed clothes before heading to the bathroom. He got dressed and headed out of the house, and Hope watched him go, a smile on her face as she touched her lips. She headed downstairs, only to see her Aunt Rebekah in the kitchen.
"Hope, can we talk?" Rebekah asked, looking at her.
"Talk? Sure" Hope said, looking at her aunt in confusion before following her to the study. "Whats this about?" She asked as she took a seat on the couch.
"You and Landon seem to be getting close, considering he stayed the night" Rebekah said, taking a seat beside her.
"Yeah we are. We've been close." Hope said, not really thinking about what she could specifically be talking about. "He's stayed the night multiple times before."
"In your bed?"
"Yeah, its comfortable for the both of us, and its better than him going back to his foster parents. They dont exactly treat him anywhere near how he deserves to be treated"
"Oh" Rebekah said softly, wondering if the situation resembled Klaus' situation with Mikael or if it was not as bad. "Well I hope you are taking precautions. Being careful"
Hope's cheeks suddenly turned red. "We, um, we haven't. We haven't had sex yet. We just snuggle and fall asleep close to one another. It makes us happy. We don't need... that as a part of our relationship yet. We, um, we haven't even... talked... about that yet"
"Oh. Good. I just wanted to make sure you were being smart about it." Rebekah said uncomfortable but relieved
"We are. Why are you the one having this conversation with me and not Freya or Keelin?" Hope asked
"Because they are focused on protecting you and making sure you are happy. And since I am here, I thought I'd say something. Especially since I know how it feels to fall for someone hard and fast"
"I do love him" the tribrid told her aunt. "I didn't even know someone could fall in love so deeply after a short time"
"Look, I don't mean to discredit your feelings. After all, you could be like your mother who only truly loved Elijah. Or like Niklaus whom it took a thousand years to get over an ex. But you could also be like me who fell in love a lot over the centuries. So much so my brothers made fun of me for it" Rebekah said softly. "I want you to be happy. And if it is with this boy, then I welcome him into the family with open arms. I just do not wish to see you get hurt"
"I know. I appreciate the concern. But he really cares about me, and i care about him. And I just... I have this feeling this isnt a fleeting love. And I can't bring myself to leave him" Hope explained.
"Well, I am happy for you" Rebekah said, looking at her.
Hope smiled a little at that. "Thanks, Aunt Rebekah"
"Of course. All we want for you is your happiness" Rebekah said, reaching out and tucking her niece's hair behind her ear. "And with him, you are the happiest I have seen you since your parents died"
Hope's expression faltered a bit, but she nodded a little. "I dont know how to explain it. But I am. We're going to go on a road trip once I track his mother."
Rebekah stiffened. "Without Freya and Keelin?"
"Ideally. I'm 17. I need to leave their side eventually, and I am fully capable of taking care of myself" Hope said.
"You may be powerful, but your father's enemies are more experienced"
"You don't think I can handle myself in a fight?"
"I know how powerful you are. But while you are also smart, you don't always think things through and plan"
Hope's expression fully fell at that. "Well someone needs to get things done. I'm going with Landon. He deserves to find answers. And I'm not dragging Freya and Keelin with me. Not this time" she said before heading out of the room and going outside.
Hope sighed as she leaned against a tree, staring out at the woods surrounding the back of her house. She slid down to the ground, thinking about everything. Was her aunt right? Was she really too impulsive? Too reckless? Could she cause problems or get Landon killed for example? Just by being Klaus Mikaelson's daughter? No. She could, but she wouldn't.
She brought her knees to her chest and looked off into the distance of the woods. She wanted to train but didn't really have anyone to train with. And she wasn't sure her Aunt Rebekah would want to train with her. Then again, if she could manage to get her to see Hope had everything under control, maybe she wouldn't complain about the trip Hope wanted to take.
"Hope?"
Hope turned her head at the familiar voice and saw Lizzie approaching her. "Hey" she said, pushing herself up. "What's up?"
"Nothing much. I was just going to hang out at your house today for one last day. I kind of want the day to myself though so I'm just gonna hang out a bit and relax. I just wanted you to know what I wanted so you and Landon can do whatever you want"
"Well he's not back yet, but we're planning to have a date day when he does. Till then... if you don't mind a little company before you retreat to being alone... considering the monster problem, how much do you know about offensive magic?"
"Not much" Lizzie admitted.
"Alright. Then let me teach you some spells just in case anything happens again"
"Thank you. Though my dad had Dorian take the knife somewhere so it shouldn't be an issue. I- I don't ever want to hurt anyone. But I also know we could be dead without you helping us"
Hope smiled a little at that and started to teach her. The training continued while Lizzie continued to improve her efforts on the spells she was practicing. They continued training until suddenly Hope heard someone approaching. She spun around and relaxed at the sight of Landon.
"Hey. I just got back" Landon said, walking over
"Well, it was great practicing magic but I'm gonna go" Lizzie said and left the room.
"Did she leave because of me?" Landon asked
"She wanted some alone time, but i figured i would offer some training for her while you were gone until you were back" Hope said, looking at him.
Landon held out a milkshake from the Mystic Grill, which Hope took with a smile. She sipped it and headed back with him towards the house.
"So what do you want to do?" Hope asked
"I figured we could go hang out at the Falls. I've still never seen it despite living here for a couple of years" Landon said.
"I wandered out there once. I can lead the way" Hope said, heading to the kitchen.
"That's a good memory if you wandered there unintentionally"
"Thanks" She pulled a basket out of the closet and started collecting some food and drinks from the fridge and pantry. "In case we want something to eat"
"I've got it" Landon said, taking it from her with his not dominant arm, which Hope noticed but didn't comment on.
"Alright. I'm gonna go pack a small bag, and I'll be right back"
"Small bag?" Landon questioned with a curious smile.
"You'll see" Hope promised with a smile before pressing her lips to his and heading upstairs.
Soon enough Hope was downstairs, and the pair left to start their date
Josie Saltzman was curled up in bed, staring at her sister's bed. She couldn't stop thinking about what she had said to her. The expression on Lizzie's face as the words came out of her mouth. And then the way her sister had left and didn't come back. If it wasn't for a locator spell that showed Josie her sister was okay and at Hope's house, the siphoner would be searching for her twin. However instead she just sulked, thinking of how truth weed had messed things up. How it had outed the feelings she kept buried inside.
And then she bailed on a lunch date with Finch, who probably was over her at this point. And she didn't blame her. Josie hadn't exactly shown she was relationship material. She really did like Finch. And she found she was actually pretty happy talking to her. Part of her still had feelings for Penelope. But she wanted to date Finch pretty much immediately. There was something about her that had drawn Josie's attention. Some weird energy from the moment Josie saw her.
She sighed softly and turned her head to the calendar, which very clearly marked their sweet 16 birthday. She had wanted to ask Finch if the date went well, but she hadn't shown up to that. And after ditching the study date too and abandoning her that other time, Josie doubted Finch wanted anything to do with her. Much less be her date to her party. And she didnt blame her.
There was a knock on the door, and, after Josie said to come in, Finch Tarrayo headed inside with a tray of drinks. She set the tray down on the desk and carried in a basket.
"What's all this?" Josie asked as she sat up and tried to collect herself, surprised by what she was seeing. No one had really delivered her food and drinks before.
"Landon suggested you might be too emotionally busy to think about dates. So I decided to bring the date to you. That way we can just hang out here and talk and get to know each other better."
Josie climbed out of bed and walked towards Finch. "Honestly I figured you wouldn't want anything to do with me after I didn't show"
"Well, I definitely wasn't exactly thrilled. But I like you. So lets give this date thing a try. If you still want to, I mean" Finch looked at her.
"I'd like that. Thank you for this" She smiled at her gratefully and picked up the tray before carrying it over to her nightstand that didn't have the lamp. "We can just eat and hang out on my bed"
"Sounds good to me" She got on the siphoner's bed, setting the basket down. Josie sat down on the other side, and Finch pulled out a container with a few sandwiches. She also pulled out a couple of packs of oreos she had found stored away in the kitchen. "I hope you like sandwiches and oreos. I figured it was a pretty generic, hard to go wrong food"
"Yeah, I do" Josie agreed. "I'm pretty easy when it comes to food"
"So am I. Though I'm not a big fan of sushi" Finch said, making a small face
Josie let out a small laugh. "Well that's convenient since I'm allergic to seaweed"
"I guess we're compatible" Finch grinned and opened up the pack of oreos.
Lizzie Saltzman was downstairs in the kitchen, eating some ice cream from the freezer when suddenly there was a knock at the door. She stood up and went over to the big mansion doors and opened it curiously, relief flooding inside her at the sight of Milton Greasley. She pushed the strange feeling of relief she felt away and crossed her arms. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, I was worried about you" MG said.
"And let me guess, you got one of the witches to track me? I should have blocked that from happening"
"But you wanted everyone to know you're alright"
Lizzie looked at him in silence, thinking.
"I could go back to the school" MG said after a moment.
The siphoner found herself shaking her head a little. "Stay" she said and stepped to the side so he could come in.
MG walked inside and looked around a bit, taking in his surroundings, such as the marble staircase leading upstairs. Lizzie didnt want to admit why she had let him in. Because the thought of being alone unsettled her. Keelin, Freya, and Rebekah were out and about, and Lizzie felt uncomfortable as the idea of being alone. Perhaps that was why she stayed around her sister as much as she could.
"Yeah this place is as fancy as I thought when I arrived" MG said. The Salvatore School was fancy too. But this was a lot of white and wasn't a private boarding school.
Lizzie went to put the ice cream away and came back. "You should see the theater room"
"They have a theater room?" MG questioned as he followed Lizzie down the hall.
"Yeah they do" Lizzie opened up the door and walked inside, revealing the multiple chairs and a couch and a big screen TV. There was a table along the wall containing a mini fridge and a popcorn maker that the Mikaelsons had gotten after multiple movie nights with Landon Kirby.
"Wow" MG said, his eyes widened. "Our school should have something like this instead of needing to get the projector and the big screen out to the old Mill to watch something with someone"
"Yeah but I can also see arguments over who gets to use the theater room" Lizzie pointed out, taking a seat on the couch.
"I suppose you have a point. Though maybe if we have some sort of list system, it could work" MG said thoughtfully. He was silent for a moment. "I'm sorry"
"About what exactly? Making out with the two people that despise me and make fun of my... episodes?" Lizzie questioned. "One of which being my sister's ex?"
"Yeah... that. The Penelope one, I was just... hungry and horny I guess, and she was there and available" MG said. "I dont know why. I don't have feelings for her or anything. I just... I dont know, welcomed the distraction?"
"The distraction from what?" Lizzie asked
"From the fact I may never get the attention I want from you" MG said, looking at her. "I should move on, but besides briefly kissing them, I dont want to"
Lizzie's face softened as she looked at him curiously, struggling to find words. "And what about Dana?" she said finally.
"For some reason I decided to listen to Penelope about this, and she thought getting Dana to like me would help me catch your attention. And it did. But not in the way I wanted. I dont want you to be mad at me. And I'm sorry I didn't realize how you would feel about my actions until it was too late"
"It's okay" Lizzie said finally. "You can kiss whoever you want. I shouldn't be upset about it"
But she was, and MG knew it. He knew her. He noticed things no one else did, and she was still bothered by this. He just hoped he would be able to get her to fully forgive him soon enough. But he wondered did he really have a small chance of ending up with Lizzie Saltzman or was he just fooling himself?
After some hiking through the woods, they finally reached it. The waterfall located in Mystic Falls. Buried in the woods. Landon looked up at it in awe, and Hope smiled at the sight, glad they had decided to come here if its beauty made him that happy. She walked over to an area not far from the water, and the tribrid took a seat. Landon walked over to her and sat beside her on the grass, setting the basket down in front of them.
"This is beautiful" he said in awe.
"Yeah it is" Hope agreed, looking at the water falling down the waterfall. "It's peaceful too If this was in an area closer to the town part of town, it'd probably end up busy. I'm glad you suggested it"
"I am too" Landon said as he pulled out a drink from the basket he had carried. He opened it up and took a sip, thinking as he looked at the scene before him.
Hope opened up her bag and pulled out a book.
"What is that?"
"It's for you, actually. I found it and thought you might like it" Hope said, watching him. Landon took the book from her and looked down at it. It was a thick novelization consisting of the original three Star Wars films. "I just... I know you like reading too sometimes and thought you'd enjoy being able to read the series too"
"Thank you" Landon said gratefully as he looked at her. "I appreciate it" He leaned over and kissed her a little before pulling away.
"You're welcome. You don't need to read it if you don't want to, but you now have it if you do" Hope smiled at him
"Are you going to tell me why you wanted an actual date today?" Landon asked finally.
Hope looked down at their hands for a moment before looking back at him. "You were kidnapped yesterday, and it was my fault for being who I was. I don't have the strength to stay away from you anymore. But the least I could do was give us both a good time away from the drama of my life"
Landon reached out and caressed her cheek with his thumb. "You didn't need to do that"
"I know, but... yesterday was the first time your life was in danger for a lengthy amount of time because of who I am" Hope said
"Hope Mikaelson" he said seriously as he looked at her, his hand resting on her cheek. "You've warned me about the dangers of being with you, and I've accepted them. Yesterday you said you couldn't leave me anymore. Well, I can't leave you either. And I dont want to. I'm all in. Whatever dangers that come next, I want to be by your side throughout it all. Through thick and thin. For better or for worse. There's no one else I'd rather jump into danger for and risk my life for. And as much as I dont like being held captive, I would rather be it again and again than be in a world where you never came into my life"
Hope looked at him before quickly moving forward and kissing him passionately, pouring her feelings into the kiss. She might not be good at love speeches or anything. But she wanted to show him how she felt about his words. Her arms were around his neck, and he wrapped his around her waist, tugging her closer with a small wince but didn't say anything as he continued to kiss her. It was worth it.
Finch and Josie continued to hang out and enjoy each other's company. They talked and played a board game Josie had in her room and got to know each other better as they ate and drank tea. Overall, it went very well, so once the day had mostly passed, Josie found herself asking "Hey, tomorrow's my birthday, and we are having a sweet 16 party . And I was wondering if maybe you wanted to be my date to the party"
"Sure, yeah, I'd like that a lot" Finch said, looking at Josie with a smile. "As long as you don't bail on me again" she added half jokingly
"I won't" Josie said seriously. "I promise"
"Good. Then I would very much like to be your date. I had a good time today and would like to do it again"
Josie smiled at her.
"So what's it like being a witch? I mean actually being able to do magic?" Finch asked as she put things back in the basket, trying to clean things up since their date was nearly over.
"It's... it feels like anything is possible in a way. It feels natural and like breathing, I guess. And siphoning magic and having it inside of me is like a rush of power and fresh air. It feels right. But most of the time, if I was somewhere I couldn't siphon, I'd basically be just human. And I couldn't really imagine not being able to access magic." josie admitted.
"What about right now?" Finch asked.
"Now?" Josie reached over and placed her hand on her nightstand, siphoning from it. "This entire school is fused with magic so we can access it and use it when we need to"
"That's useful"
"It is. But... we begin to rely on it too much. And then we leave the school and we find ourselves needing to use magic, but we cant" she explained
"Can I see you use magic again?" Finch questioned
The siphoner reached over and turned off the lamp she had turned on when it was getting dark. She made an orb of light appear over her palm of her hand, and Finch looked at it in awe. "That's amazing. Definitely can come in handy being able to use a magical flashlight"
"Yeah it is" Josie said, breaking the spell after a minute. "Though I never really need to use it."
"I should probably head to my room, get some sleep. But I will be your date tomorrow. And you can talk to me about the details in the morning" Finch told her
"I'll see you then" Josie said and watched her leave.
MG and LIzzie were still at the Mikaelson mansion, hanging out a bit in the theater. MG had put on a superhero movie, unsure of why he was still there. Why she hadn't asked him to go. But he knew her. So even though he didn't 100% understand, he knew the answer. She didnt want to be alone. And he didn't want her to be. So he just continued spending time with her, even though it consisted mostly of just silence. They had also watched Lizzie's favorite TV show a bit throughout the day, something that had brightened Lizzie up considerably and made her laugh at the right moments. Which in turn had made MG smile brightly at the sight of her having a good time.
"So your dad and Dorian apparently came across a Dryad" MG said finally. "It had been drawn to that knife."
"Whats so special about that knife and why does everyone want it?" Lizzie questioned with a sigh as she stood up to refill her bowl of popcorn.
"We still don't know. But we do have some answers. Your dad told Josie and I"
"Well? What is it?" Lizzie asked as she refilled her bowl and walked back over to him, taking a seat on the other side of the couch.
"Apparently the dryad was erased from memory and ended up in a dark pit called Malivore. She someone got out but there was a voice in her head, wanting her to get the knife. She couldn't fight it. Dr Saltzman said she was a good person that just couldn't help attacking because of the voice in her head. If none of these monsters want to harm us but they dont have a choice, then we really need to talk care of this Malivore place. Whatever it is exactly. So that we don't need to keep killing innocent supernaturals being forced to attack our school"
Lizzie looked over at MG and nodded. "Alright. Well we need to do more research on Malivore and find out what we can"
"I tried. I used the magical search thing your dad had, and nothing pulled up for Malivore. Its not mentioned anywhere in his collection"
"It could be referenced as something else. By someone that didn't know the name Malivore. So you said she was erased from Memory? What does that mean exactly?"
"It means every single person forgot she ever existed. Which explains how we didn't know dragons and dryads existed until now."
"So everyone forgets you exist and you end up in a dark pit? And no one is trying to rescue you? That sounds like a nightmare"
"Yeah, I guess it does." MG grimaced. "Its getting late. I should be heading back to the school."
"Alright. Landon and Hope should be getting back any minute" Lizzie said and watched him go before finishing watching the movie and eating popcorn.
It was starting to get dark, but the area around Landon and Hope was well lit thanks to a spell Hope did. So the tribrid was working on a sketch as Landon read the book she gave him. He was posing for her as well, and they occasionally talked in the process. She had the waterfall coming down behind him as her boyfriend laid on the grass, reading the Star Wars book she had given him today. She wanted to make it as detailed as possible.
"How's it coming over there?" Landon asked as he turned the page in his book.
"Maybe you should come see for yourself" Hope said with a playful smile
"You're done?" Landon asked, looking at her.
"I mean I'll probably touch up on shading later, but yeah, I think so" Hope said
Landon bookmarked his book and closed it before quickly rejoining her side. He took a seat beside her and looked down at the sketchbook she had set on her lap. "It looks amazing, Hope" he said with a smile as he tore his gaze from it so he could look at her. "I mean the way you were able to capture the waterfall with only pencils is so talented. You are talented. And I'm not just saying that because I'm not good at art"
"Thank you" Hope said with a small laugh. "I like to think I captured you well. But I didn't do you justice"
"Well I think you drew me better than I look, honestly. But it looks great"
"Hey, you are very handsome, Landon Kirby" Hope said, looking at him. She then leaned forward and pressed her lips to his lovingly. Landon kissed her back with a smile and tucked her hair behind her ear, drawing her closer. Finally Hope pulled away. "I talked to my Aunt Rebekah about our trip next weekend. She isn't exactly thrilled about me going off with just you, but it's okay. We can go and meet your mom"
"If it's a problem, maybe she could come with us" Landon suggested kindly.
"No, it's fine. Really. We'll be able to go. But I'm gonna see if my aunts want to train with me. Both because I like training and because it will ease their minds about this weekend"
"Alright. We should probably head back to your place" Landon said. "Though I would like to hang out here again. It's nice, quiet, and peaceful"
"I'd like that" Hope said and packed up everything.
Landon reached out and took the basket before lowering his arm. He winced slightly as his arm brushed against his side.
"What was that. That's not the first time I saw you wince tonight. What happened?" Hope questioned in concern. When her boyfriend didn't answer, she took the basket from him and set it down before taking his arm gently and pulling up his sleeve, revealing a fresh burn on the inside of his arm. Her expression softened as she looked at it in concern before looking at him. "You could have mentioned this"
"It's not that big of a deal. And you know it's not the first time this has happened" It was obvious by the faint, barely visible scars on his body. "I don't like seeming weak, Weaker than I regularly do. And I don't want to bother anyone about it. Even you"
"You're not weak. You're a survivor. Landon, that makes you one of the strongest people that I know" Hope said seriously. "But we do need to get you out of that house. I mean you practically live with me already. We just need to make it official."
"I can't just leave and never go back"
"Yes you can. If you want. My Aunt Rebekah is in town. She could take care of it if you want. I mean you're already practically family. To me at least. And Freya and Keelin welcome you with open arms."
Landon hesitated and nodded. "Fine. We'll ask. But really, I can handle it"
"I know you can. But you shouldn't have to. It's bad enough you have to deal with assholes at school" Hope said. "Please let me let you stay at my place all the time. I mean you practically do anyways"
Landon moved closer to her and kissed her for a moment before pulling away. "Thank you" he said. "Lets go home then"
Hope smiled and passed him back the basket, which he took, and Hope put her bag on her shoulder. She did a spell that created an orb of light above the palm of her hand, and the two headed back through the woods, towards the mansion.
"Hey, Hope, can we talk for a sec?" Lizzie asked, standing in the doorway.
"Yeah, of course" Hope said, walking over to Lizzie.
She followed Lizzie down the hall and into another room. Lizzie looked at her nervously, unsure of how to ask the question despite usually being able to blurt things out
"Look, I know you're dating Landon. But It's my birthday tomorrow. Sweet 16 actually. Which I've been planning since I was five years old. And it means a lot to me. And I like you. I like spending time with you. A lot more than I enjoy spending around most people at my school. So, would you maybe like to be my date to my birthday party tomorrow?" Lizzie rambled out.
Hope's blue eyes widened at Lizzie's words, and her lips parted open in surprise. "Yeah. I can be your date tomorrow."
"Thank you. You can bring Landon too. I mean he's invited. But I want someone to be there for me. Not just for a party. And I want an escort and to dance with you"
"I'll let him know. Just to be clear, you know I'm dating Landon so this is me as your platonic date, escort, whatever. Right?" Hope asked
"Of course. I don't expect you to kiss me during it. I just... I don't have a date, and right now you're the closest thing I have. And it could be fun" Lizzie explained.
Hope smiled a bit. "Yeah it could be."
"I'm going to go home in the morning. But once you get there, I'll talk to you a little bit and make sure you know what to do. You know how to dance, right?"
"Yeah, I do" the tribrid confirmed, looking at the blonde. "My aunts taught me"
"Great. Well, I just happened to have a... weird day with MG. And by weird, I mean I don't know how exactly I feel about it. Besides that I think I've forgiven him for making out with Penelope and Dana"
"Well that's good" Hope said. "I mean, unless you wanted to stay mad at him"
"No he's a great guy. One of the best. But for some reason he decided to kiss the people that insult me and... and my mental health. And I just didn't see him as the type of person that would do that. But I dont want to stay mad at him. And I haven't. But I don't want to make things more complicated between us by asking him to my party. So here I am. Asking the only person that I think enjoys my company"
"Well, I'd be happy to be your platonic date tomorrow"
"Great. Then be there early. I know it's a school day but maybe stop by before school or during lunch" Lizzie said.
"I'll be there" Hope promised
"Good. Because I've been planning this since I was five and want to make sure you know what to do"
The tribrid chuckled lightly and nodded. "I'm a quick learner. You don't need to worry"
Lizzie breathed out a sigh of relief. "Then in that case, I'm going to bed. I'll see you in the morning" She headed out of the room.
Hope headed over to see her Aunt Rebekah, who had just come back inside. "Hey. I need to talk to you" she said to her aunt. "I know you need to get back to Marcel. But I was hoping you could do something for me before you leave"
"What is it?" Rebekah asked, looking at her niece's in concern
"Compel Landon's foster parents so that he can live with us and not have to go back" Hope said
"Is Landon aware you are asking me to do this?"
The tribrid nodded a bit. "I told him about it. They abuse him and everything. And I've known that, but I couldn't really do anything besides provide support. But you can. You can compel them"
"Alright" Rebekah agreed finally. "I'll get it done tonight. Let Landon know. Though make sure he has his own room so he isn't always sleeping in your bed"
Hope blushed a little and nodded. "He'll have his own room that he uses sometimes. I promise"
"Good. I should get going then. I'll be gone in the morning"
Hope went over to her aunt and hugged her. Thank you for everything. I appreciate it"
"Of course. I'm glad I could help" Rebekah said and kissed the top of Hope's head before leaving the house.
