FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S
GREGORY AND THE 13 GHOULS OF GLITCHTRAP

Night 1 - Part 2: Memories of a Sad Man

Coming on the attack, Foxy Mask rushed Vanessa with random jabs from his bladed hand. She was able to keep dodging thanks to her continued lessons of self defense and effortlessly parried his attack to the side before a direct kick to his face.

"D'argh!" he yelped. Vanessa then grabbed Gregory's hand.

"C'mon! Let's book it!" she proclaimed. He simply nodded and began running away with her. Foxy Mask watched before snarling like a feral beast.

"HEY! GET BACK HERE COWARDS!" he yelled, chasing after them. Retracting his sword hand, he reached into his jacket and threw out a bunch of miniature robots similar to the DJ Music Man minis that went rampant at the Pizzaplex. But these were modeled after the original Foxy animatronic and giggled in devious tones. For their small size, they were incredibly quick and were soon able to catch up to them. Gregory looked back at them practically on their heels.

"Wow! This guy's REALLY commiting to the whole "I Am Foxy" schtick!" he shouted. One leapt at Gregory and bit his ankle. He briefly winced, letting go of Vanessa to pry it off him. The others took the opportunity to gang up and and leapt on him, toppling him over while he fought off their snapping teeth.

"Gregory!" Vanessa gasped. She hurried back as Gregory managed to shake them off, grabbing ones on his stomach and mercilessly throwing them away. The one left behind, the one that originally bit him, was punted by Vanessa with a swift kick. But all this panic gave Foxy Mask to close the distance with his electrified baton prime and ready.

"I HOPE YOU'RE READY FOR YOUR CONTROLLED SHOCK, BRAT!" he yelled. Vanessa managed to intervene again, taking the blunt of the hit as she felt the electricity surge through her. Despite this, she grabbed onto Foxy Mask's arm and kicked him with all her might. Aiming for the chest sent him skidding backwards while surprisingly breaking off his baton due to the tight grip Vanessa had. Foxy Mask gawked at his damaged right hand.

"WHAT IN THE BLOODY HELL?!" he shouted. He looked back to see Vanessa, bruising on her side with a confident smile, holding the appendage and threw it away. It clattered upon hitting the ground.

"Well, looks like that's the end of THAT. What now, ya animatronic wanna-be?!" she shouted. Gregory took the moment to catch his breath.

"Gregory, are you okay?" Freddy asked from inside his bag.

"Y-Yeah. Thanks for asking. How about you?" he asked, hearing his friend comment he was all right. Foxy Mask growled, becoming further infuriated until he let out a loud scream. Suddenly, his limb switched again and now the muzzle of a flamethrower peeked itself out. The others gasped.

"Wait. Is that…a flame-?" Vanessa asked, interuppted when he suddenly let loose a large blast of flames. She quickly grabbed Gregory and ran off with him, just avoiding his attack. They looked back as he glared at them with bright green eyes and a demented expression.

"What the hell?!" Gregory exclaimed "How many extra features does this maniac have?!" Foxy Mask snarled before howling loudly as a wolf, robotic tentacle arms suddenly emitting from his back. They tore through his jacket, each bearing four pronged fingers folded out from the tips. His left hand had changed back to his sword glove as his villainous silhouette stood against the flames he created.

"I swore…to Master Glitchtrap…that I would NOT let you get away from me! And I WILL KEEP THAT PROMISE!" he exclaimed "YOU. WILL. DIE!" The mere mention of the name left Gregory and Vanessa frozen with shock and fear, remembering the derranged laughter of the malicious virus from their night locked in the Pizzaplex. Glitchtrap was one of the major players that aimed to turn everything in the Pizzaplex against the two of them, all to get control of Gregory's body for himself. But to their knowledge, he was destroyed along with Afton when they both fused into the same body and lost power. Inside of Gregory's backpack, Freddy could not believe what he heard either.

"D-Did he say…what I THINK he did?" Gregory asked, eyes widening from shock. Vanessa silently nodded.

"Yeah. He said it. Glitchtrap. He HAS to know about the Pizzaplex then. But…I thought we got rid of that stupid computer glitch!." she replied. Gregory gasped.

"Wait. You said…Glitchtrap infected your mind when you were chosen as a beta tester for that virtual reality game, right? What happened to the others who played it? Did Fazbear even destroy the game's code or any physical copies of it since?" he asked, shocking Freddy as well.

"I…do not believe I heard news about Fazbear Entertainment destroying or cancelling the game despite what Glitchtrap did to Vanessa. They may have let the game be released…and helped create a "new" Glitchtrap to take over other minds. But…this would have to be before Mr. Willson became the new CEO." the animatronic replied. Vanessa's eyes widened, imaging a swarm of shadowy humans all with Glitchtrap's psychotic laugh and bright green eyes.

"You mean…there's MORE people like I was?! A whole SWARM of Vanny dopplegangers?!" she thought, suddenly seeing herself dressed as Vanny. Her former persona eyed her and giggled, brandishing her knife while putting a finger to her lips. Foxy Mask growled and aimed his flamethrower their way.

"M-Mom! MOVE!" Gregory exclaimed, grabbing her wrist and pulling her away. This snapped her out of her daze and, remembering the current situation, followed along. The tossed aside Mini Foxy bots gathered around him as Foxy Mask gave an order.

"DON'T let them get away! Bite their throats! Tear into their flesh! I. WANT. THEIR. BLOOD!" he shouted, joining in the chase as well.

~ Civic Center | Park Grounds ~

They managed to give Foxy Mask the slip as they arrived outside the locked civic center building in the park. Gregory stopped to catch his breath as Vanessa hurried to try and open the door. However, the lock was too strong for her as she was fighting hard to open it.

"F-Freddy? Any ideas what to do about Foxy's "number one fan"?" he asked.

"I'm afraid not, Gregory. This is not like what you went through with Vanessa's dilemma. It appears as if this man embraced being manipulated by the Glitchtrap virus. He is not resisting his influence. But I DO know that your safety comes first to me." he replied. Gregory lightly smiled. Just then, Vanessa groaned loudly. She grabbed the door handle once more with a foot planted against the wall, pulling with all her might.

"Uhhh…mom? I don't think you're going to get that open." the boy asked with caution. Her fingers slipped off, making her more furious. She turned to Gregory.

"That may be, kiddo….but we need somewhere better to hide! And this is the best option we have!" she explained, suddenly taking out Freddy's head "Sorry about this, Freddy! But brace yourself!" Freddy looked flabergasted before she threw the animatronic's head through the glass on the door, breaking it enough for her to reach through and unlock the door from the other side. The bear laid in a daze before they hurried inside, Gregory scooping him up.

"A-Are you nuts?! I think by now Freddy's head counts as "FRAGILE"!" Gregory shouted as they ran.

"I'm sorry, Gregory! But I want to make sure you are safe! Freddy? You good?" Vanessa asked. Freddy moaned dizzily, fumbling his speech while saying he was all right. Inside the center was a small room dedicated to memorabilia from the city's history on display, giving them optimal hiding spots. They ducked behind a large globe exhibit and dropped to the ground from exhaustion. Vanessa glanced out around the corner, neither seeing or hearing anything from Foxy Mask or his mini monsters.

"I…I think we're good for now, Gregory." she panted "D-Do you have your cell phone still? I haven't fully recharged mine yet." He nodded before fishing it from his backpack and giving it to her. She quickly dialed 9-1-1 and got through to a police officer on the other end.

"H-Hello? My name is Vanessa, employee of the Fazbear Mega Pizzaplex? Maybe you heard of me and my son? A-Anyway, we need the police or ANYBODY to come to the park's civic center! We're being chased by a derranged lunatic wearing a Foxy mask and…he's trying to kill the two of us! T-The sooner you get someone over here, the better! Please hurry!" she explained with the officer, hanging up afterwards. She then glanced to Gregory, rubbing his head.

"Are you okay, kiddo? I hope…all this isn't too much for you." she asked, breathing a sigh of relief. Gregory chuckled.

"Compared to the night I spent at the Pizzaplex? This is NOTHING." he said "At least…we're not being stalked by rabid animatronics." Just then, the sound of glass crunching could be heard as Foxy Mask's voice echoed the empty halls. It came from the direction of the smashed through door.

I KNOW YOU'RE HEEEEERRRREEEEE, GREGORY! SHOW YOURSELF! UNLESS YOU WANT ME TO BURN THIS PLACE TO THE GROUND!

Gregory quickly covered his mouth as Vanessa ducked back behind the globe. The maniac's footsteps could be heard slowly approaching along with tiny little tip taps from his horde of miniature Foxy bots.

"W-What do we do?!" Gregory whispered. Suddenly, Foxy Mask just rounded the corner and entered the room. His eyes scanned the room like a monster hunting its prey, his multiple robotic limbs still extended. He lightly snarled when he could not spot them.

"Just…keep quiet for now." Vanessa whispered back. Foxy Mask growled before smashing his robotic hand into one of the display cases. This momentarily startled the two still hiding, thinking they were found.

"WHERE ARE YOU, YOU DAMN BRAT?! YOU HAVE NOWHERE TO RUN! SHOW YOURSELF!" he exclaimed. All remained dead silent while fear trembled down Gregory and Vanessa's spines. Foxy Mask continued to look around the room, moving closer and closer to their hiding place with each display he smashed out of fury. He then glanced towards the globe, growing a sick smile on his face. But before he got closer, another man suddenly rushed in from behind and shot him from behind with a gun taser. It sent a powerful current through him, strong enough to have him scream in agony before becoming momentarily paralyzed. He fumbled forward once the shock stopped.

"ALL RIGHT! WHO..?!" Foxy Mask roared, turning back to be greeted by a man in a suit and sunglasses punching him multiple times with brass knuckles on his knuckles to break through the animatronic head and strike his human face. The barrage knocked him unconscious and Foxy Mask flopped to the ground with a loud thud. Putting his brass knuckles away, the man in the suit then glimpsed towards Gregory and Vanessa's hiding place.

"It's okay you two. Come on out." he said in a calming voice. They simultaneously gasped, exchanging glances between themselves before coming out.

"H-How'd you know we were…?" Vanessa asked. The man smirked and pointed to the top of his head, hinting to Vanessa that the very top of her ponytail was peeking out. She lightly groaned while stroking her hair.

"W-Who the heck are you?" Gregory asked "Not that I DON'T want to thank you for helping us, but…I don't remember seeing anyone at the civic center dressed like somebody from "Men in Black". Also, your timing seemed TOO GOOD." He crossed his arms while the man smirked and took off his sunglasses, showing his dark brown eyes.

"It's all right, Gregory. I know about you, your mother and the animatronic head you've got stashed in your bag." he said, surprising each when he called them out "The name's Agent Ludger, a member of a special task force put together after the "event" at the Pizzaplex." Gregory raised a brow.

"Really? Tch. Sounds really dumb." he replied. Ludger reached into his suit and pulled out his ID and badge, the words "Fazbear Animatronic Disposal Squad" engraved on the badge. Gregory couldn't believe his eyes when he finished reading.

"Oookay. I guess its legit." he said out of bafflement. Ludger tucked them back before extending them both a hand. Each took a turn shaking his hand, thanking him for coming to help.

"So…Agent Ludger. What's a "government agent" doing in our civic center?" Vanessa asked. Ludger glimpsed at the unconscious Foxy Mask.

"Looking for any kind of leads to the cult THIS lunatic belongs to…the "Council of the Glitch" they call themselves." he explained, showing one of the mini Foxy spiders tucked away in his pocket. The small mech was in disprepair as if he stomped on it multiple times.

"Council of…what?" Vanessa asked "Glitch? Do you mean the Glitchtrap virus?" Ludger nodded.

"I've had my eyes on these sick bastards for a while now. This isn't their FIRST time attacking innocent people under the cover of night. The records we dug up all point to them being former beta testers of the "Help Wanted" virtual reality game…something you both should know about." he continued. Gregory nodded while Vanessa momentarily crouched down to hug Gregory.

"I certainly do. And…I know that, if it weren't for this "brave young man" and the other animatronics, I would've probably go on without knowing or causing more pain." she said, making him blush slightly. Thoughts of his face-off with the "Vanny possessed" Vanessa came to mind and how he was nearly stabbed through the heart. Ludger glimpsed at a nearby wall clock.

"For now, it's probably best for you two to turn in for the night. Just give me a few minutes to take care of something…and I'll gladly escort you back to your vehicle." he said while eyeing Foxy Mask.

~ Later That Night ~

Foxy Mask was left in the exhibit room securely tied up with in knotted rope. The robotic limbs on his back were damaged by Agent Ludger to stop him from using them to escape, his hands also cuffed behind his back for extra safety. He was also de-masked, revealing a bruised up black haired man's face. The agent had taken the time to help Vanessa and Gregory, leaving his unconscious body alone and unguarded. But his eyes began to squint open, his vision hazed and blurry from the assault he took. It was a brief moment before he realized someone else was in the room and approaching him, looking up to see the man in the Golden Bonnie mask eyeing him with staff in hand, gasping upon looking in his eyes.

"M-Master Gold! T-T-This isn't what it seems like! I practically had that damn child on DEATH'S DOOR before..!" he exclaimed, voice full of panic. But Master Gold silenced him with a raise of his hand.

"Do not bother explaining yourself. I should have known better than to let you loose on your own. The fault is mine in expecting too much of you." he said, large wires beginning to slink from under his robe sleeve like vipers "Hopefully, you understand what the price of FAILURE is." Foxy Mask looked on in absolute fear, sweat racing down his face, before the wires attacked and latched onto him. They yanked him closer to Master Gold's hand while, upon contact, a emerald green light filled the room. Foxy Mask was screaming loudly as his life literally flashed before his eyes, all the while Master Gold watched without emotionless and with a stone cold gaze.

Foxy Mask's memories reveal he was a man who had a multitude of missed opportunities stacking up in his life. It appeared as if each time he tried to stand out against the competition, he was always prone to failure. He even had a woman he was in love with, only to later find out she had cheated on him when they were dating. All of this eventually led him to try and earn some fast cash by becoming a beta tester of Fazbear's VR game and his consciousness infected and controlled by Glitchtrap. It was only under the control of the malicious code that he finally felt like he had purpose in his life, close to taking his own life before he was presented this opportunity.

His vision began to whiten the longer he was at the mercy of Master Gold's power. When he was done, the snake wires detached themselves from his face and retracted up into the man's sleeve. Small holes were left on Foxy Mask's flesh like bite marks as his head simply drooped, showing evident signs he died amidst it all. His mouth was left gaping open, a small trail of drool leaking from the corner, and his eyes rolled back into his head. Master Gold looked at him once more with disappointment before he began walking away. As he left, the last words of Foxy Mask's consciousness echoed out.

I-I just wanted….to…be….noticed (sobbing)
