Chapter 3

We pick up where we left off, seeing where the boy and girl were looking at each other. It may have been a whole minute for the two teenagers, but it felt like an eternity just looking at each other. For the boy, he could see how attractive the girl was and had his mouth slightly opened. 'Wow, who is this girl?' The boy thought. 'I have never seen anyone this beautiful before.' Meanwhile, the girl was looking at his eyes, how his face looked, and the style of clothing he was wearing. 'Oh my god!' She thought. 'Who is this boy, and why is he so attractive?' she asked herself as a light pink started to appear on her cheeks.

After a while, they soon started to recollect themselves, as they both lightly shook their heads, and the boy started to retract his arm as the girl started to pick up the last item she dropped.

"Right, sorry about that. I don't know what came over me back there." The boy apologized as he got up and extended his hand once more, but to help the young teenage girl to get back up on her feet. The girl happily took his hand and got back up. He soon took his hand and started to rub it nervously with his other hand.

"It's quite alright, and I don't know what came over me as well." The girl responded as she soon grabbed her bag of items. "I don't think I've ever seen you around here, to be honest?" The girl asked.

"Oh, yeah. Let's just say that I'm kind of new in town at the moment, thought I would do some sightseeing." The boy responded in a half lie. Although he might not be back in his home at the moment, he was making sure to understand what realm he was in right now.

"That makes sense, of course it was somewhat of a pain that my grocery run was a bit trampled, but at least I know that you were just having some fun." The girl said as she sorted her bags and stretched out an open hand. "I'm Itsuka Kendo by the way." The girl, now known as Kendo, introduced herself. The boy soon took her hand and shook it.

"I'm Luke Garmadon, but you can call me Luke." The boy, now named Luke, said. Itsuka was a bit surprised by what he said last, which caused Luke to be curious. "Was it something that I just said?" He asked, worried that he might have screwed up with what he just said.

"Oh no, there's nothing at all, it's just that, people that they just met and recently befriended are usually called by their last names, while childhood friends and married couples call them by their first names." Kendo briefly explained, making Luke understand a little as he nods his head a little.

"Well anyways, I need to get going, I have to deliver these groceries back home, or else my folks will start to get a little worried." Kendo explained, as she was about to leave.

"Oh, of course. But I was wondering if I could accompany you and maybe help you with carrying the groceries?" Luke asked, which surprised the orange haired for his generosity, which she started to smile a little.

"Sure. Here, you can take these two." She replied as she started to hand him the bags. But as soon as Luke started to carry them, he suddenly felt a bad ache in his arms, which made him flinch from the pain as he suddenly dropped the bags gently and held his arms. Kendo saw this and went over close to him as she tried to comfort him.

"Hey, are you alright?" She asked in concern. Luke was starting to grimace as he looked over his arms, while holding them. "I think so, I guess I should have had my arms looked at when I had the chance." Luke berated himself for not getting himself fixed up sooner. "Is there by chance a doctor from here?" Luke asked with Kendo thinking.

"Actually, there is a health clinic not too far from here, I actually came across it when I was going to pick up the groceries." Kendo said as she helped Luke to get through the pain.

"Well then, lead the way, my good lady." Luke said dramatically as Kendo couldn't help but chuckle a little bit as he led her new friend to get a checkup.

After a long trek through the forest, the heroes and a small group of police and scientists finally got to the clearing and were able to see the city from where they were.

"I've always had a feeling this would happen." Erasure Head said as Edgeshot looked at his friend with a raised eyebrow.

"Which part? The one where the source of the energy is now in the city... or the part where we would having a hard time tracking the source down like a needle in a haystack?" Edgeshot asked. "Both." Erasure Head simply replied.

"Well, whatever the case is, we need to find the source of energy, before it can cause any damage or injure any people." The police officer said as the other cops and heroes nodded heads in agreement, as they then continue on their search and find the source.

We soon find both Luke and Kendo waiting in a doctor's office, as they wait for the resident doctor to come inside, once they were done with getting Luke's measurements and weight. Kendo was just getting off her phone, just to let her parents know that she will be running a little bit late, as she saw that Luke was looking a little bit nervous. "Hey, are you good." She asked. Luke looked at his female friend as he took a deep breath to steady his breathing.

"Yeah, it's just that when it comes to seeing the doctors, I always have a least favorite moment when it comes to getting shots." Luke replied as he saw that Kendo was holding her mouth, trying to suppress a giggle. "Seriously, you're afraid of getting a little needle?" She asked jokingly.

"Hey, I can't help it. Even though my uncle taught me a trick to deal with it, I can still feel the pain as it penetrates my skin." Luke replied just as the doctor came in, holding a clipboard. The doctor happens to be a middle-aged woman, with long black hair, a white lab coat, and some black sweats. "Alright, you must be young Garmadon, is that correct?" the doctor asked the young man.

"Yes, ma'am." Luke replied. The nurse then started to write down something on her clipboard. "Okay, then, now what is it that seems to be the problem at the moment?" She asked.

"Well, I was doing some sightseeing, until I accidentally bumped into my friend here, making her drop her groceries, so I helped her with picking up the items back up that fell, and I offered to carry some of the bags back to her place, and that was where I started to feel the strain in my arms." Luke explained as the doctor was writing down the info.

"Is that right?" The doctor asked as she soon put down the clipboard as she soon started getting close to the boy. "Why don't we have a closer look and see if there are any physical problems, shall we?" She asked as Luke gave a nod. Luke started to take off his silver jacket, and from there, they were shocked to see not only how well toned his muscles are on his arms, but they could see small cuts and bruises on them as well. But what really shocked them the most was that when he took his shirt off, they could get a great view of his body. They had a dark shade of red on their cheeks, due to how he has a six pack on his stomach, as well as how huge his biceps are.

As soon as the doctor shook out of her loss of concentration, she soon got to work and took a closer examination on his arms and body, while Kendo held her hands over her face, just so she could hide her face before anyone in the room couldn't see the blush that remained on her face. 'What in the world is up with his body?!' She thought. 'It's almost as though he could shred cheese with a body like that.' She tried to shake the thought out of her head as the doctor was examining his body, having a closer look at how he had some bruises and cuts on his arms and most of his chest.

"Tell me, what exactly happened to you, as well as how and when you got these cuts and bruises?" The nurse asked with a raised eyebrow, causing Kendo to be curious as well for what her blonde friend has to say.

"Well, I was having a little bit of a nice hike outside of the city, mostly part of training my stamina and endurance, but when I was about ready to head out and come back home, it was already dark out, and I tried to use my power to help light my way back, but I was so lost that I didn't remember where the right way was." Luke lied to the nurse, hoping that she would buy it. 'I have to be careful with what I say, because if I did tell them the truth, about who I am and where I came from, then they would think that I'm just crazy.' He thought to himself.

"Uh huh. So it would seem that you were training in order to apply for the hero course at U.A., is that right?" The doctor asked, as Luke was confused by what she had just said. 'U.A., is that supposed to be some kind of high school, and do they actually have classes that teaches them how to be heroes?' His train of thought was interrupted as he needed to answer her question. "Uh... yeah, I was doing just that." He lied. 'Looks like there some things I need to look into once I'm done.' "And where exactly did you get those cuts on you the first place?" The doctor asked.

"I was just getting to that point. As I was trying to find my way out of the forest, I came across a small mountain that surpassed the tree lines. So, I climbed up the big rock to see if I could get a clear view for which way was out, but just as I was about to start my search, I failed to notice how the ground was unstable, which caused the rocks on the ledge to come apart, and that led me to go tumbling down the mountain, where my body was scraping and bumping into the rocks, as well as getting some cuts by some bushes along the way. As soon as I tried to get back up after that episode, my body was aching and hurting, but I soon lost consciousness afterwards." Luke finally explained, as the girls looked sympathetic for the boy. "And how long were you knocked out." The doctor asked.

"From what I could remember, I think I was left unconscious until I started to feel some like to where my eyes were closed." Luke recalled as the doctor was done examining him.

"Well, consider yourself very lucky that you only had scrapes, bruises, and cuts, or else you would have had a concussion." The doctor said as she soon came back to the desk and wrote down the information she gathered, and just as she was finished writing down on the piece of paper, she suddenly thought of something that stuck out to his story. "But there are some things that doesn't make sense."

"And what would that be?" Luke asked.

"If you were hiking, then how come the clothes that you were wearing didn't have and cuts or tears on them, as well as not contacting your parents in the first place?" she asked, which caused Kendo to question about that as well.

"Oh yeah, I guess I forgot about those parts." Luke said as he had a nervous smile while rubbing his left hand on the back of his head. "You see, my parents are actually out of town for the time being, so I'm basically the man of the house for the time being, and I made sure to pack some extra clothes in my backpack, just in case if I my gym clothes may have left a certain smell on them." Luke explained as the doctor nodded her head, now getting what he meant, while Kendo cringed in disgust for what her new friend just said.

"Eww. T.M.I., dude." Kendo said as she slightly held her nose, causing Luke to laugh a little at her reaction as the doctor soon came back with a roll of bandages. Soon, the roll of bandages started to unravel by itself, and flew over to the boys' arms as they soon coiled around them like a snake. This action alone caused Luke to be surprised by what was happening. After the wrapping was done, he was amazed at what had just happened.

"Whoa, what just happened?!" Luke asked.

"Simple, I just activated my quirk to wrap the bandage on you." The doctor answered as Luke was now confused by what she just said. "Your quirk?" he asked. 'Is that word some way to describe what their power is, and is it somehow supposed to be some kind of elemental power?' He questioned. 'But that's impossible, I didn't see any kind of elements coming from it, and I have never seen a power like that before. Looks like I have a lot of research to do.'

"Yes, you see, my quirk is called Binding Wrap, it allows me to allow the bandages to unravel and go to the ideal body part that I am thinking of, but it can only work if I make contact with the wraps." The doctor explained.

"Wow, that's incredible." Luke said, causing the doctor to smile a little bit, as she got back to business with a cough in her throat.

"Well, all that aside, it would be best that you rest your body and not put too much pressure for the time being. Given the cuts and bruises you have; I would best estimate that it will take a week or two for your body to fully heal." She deduced, causing Luke to be surprised.

"A week or two?!" He exclaimed.

"Yes, so don't do anything brash for the time being. Doctor's orders." She said in a calm, yet slightly Strick voice as Luke sighed.

"Sure thing, doc." Luke responded as he started to put his shirt and jacket back on. The doctor suddenly thought of something that had just come up. "Oh, before you leave, can I ask what your quirk is?" She asked.

"My quirk?" Luke asked, suddenly getting an idea. "Oh yeah, my quirk is called Silver Light." He said as he held out his open hand in the air, which soon started to shine as an orb of grey energy started to form, forcing both girls to slightly cover their eyes. As soon as Luke was finished, both girls were amazed by what they just saw, but it was Kendo who was surprised the most. 'Wait a minute... The way the sphere was colored, it was almost like...' She was thinking as she suddenly came upon a realization. 'Could he be the one in the scroll?'

"Fascinating." The doctor said as she started to write down the info. "And can you tell me more about your power?" She asked.

"Ah... Well, it allows me to create an energy sphere, I can even enlarge it or make it tougher if I can concentrate hard enough." Luke explained. "I guess it's all about mind over matter to harness it."

"I see, and do you have any visualizations or weaknesses when using your power?" She asked.

"Not really. When I use my power, I always imagine that I'm like a lightbulb that is just turning on, and I tire out if I continuously use my power in short moments, or if I were to go past my limit and unleash a large blast." He finished explaining as the Doctor finished writing down on her clipboard.

"Wow, that's amazing! With a quirk like that, then you'll make a fine hero in the future." The doctor exclaimed, who soon reclaimed her composer after the outburst. "Alright, now that that's all taken care of, you two are now free to go." She said as they walked out of the office.

Afterwards, both teens exited the clinic as they started to go by their day. As soon as they started to head to Kendo's destination, they suddenly heard a rumbling noise. They looked around some more, trying to find the source of the sound. The growl was heard again, only this time, a little louder. Kendo soon turned to her new friend, who was holding his stomach, while wearing an embarrassed expression on his face.

"Aw man, I didn't have anything to eat lately!" Luke complained as Kendo just gave a light chuckle. "Come on, let's get you something to eat." She said as she took his arm and dragged him to where they could get some food.

Meanwhile, Edgeshot and Erasure were patrolling the city streets with some other heroes, trying to find the person that they are trying to look for. "Aww man, how exactly are we going to find what we're looking for?" One of the heroes whined.

"Patience, if we are lucky enough, then the solution will come to us." Edgeshot said.

"Edgeshot! Erasure!" The heroes turned to see a police officer coming over to them in a hurry. "Sorry to bother you both on your patrol, but I think I may have found something that you are looking for." She said, which caused both heroes to be slightly surprised, being focused on what she had to say.

"Go ahead." Erasure said to her.

"When I was asking eyewitnesses to see if they have seen anything suspicious around lately, one person explained about how he saw a young man collapsing on his knee and clinging to his arms as if he was in pain." She said. "That not very helpful, just shows that person wasn't taking care of his body and should go see a doctor." Erasure said, not satisfied with what he was hearing.

"Well, that's what I thought too, but he said that he overheard about how the boy mentioned something about 'being new in town' and 'doing some sightseeing'. He also said something about how he didn't go see a doctor in the first place, as well as asking someone else if there was one nearby." She finished as the two pros were now interested.

"Did he say where he was going or who the other person was?" Edgeshot asked.

"Yes, he said that the person who was accompanying him was a teenage girl, had orange hair in a single pigtail, and teal eyes. And that they were heading South, which only leads to 2 health clinics in the area they went." She described as Edgeshot suddenly remembered the accomplice

"Young Kendo?" Edgeshot questioned.

"It sounds like you know her." Erasure said.

"Sort of, I just ran into her during a hostage situation yesterday." he explained as he turned his attention back to the officer. "Thank you for your support, we will be sure to take care of the situation." he said as he turned towards the other heroes. "Alright, we will split into two groups and check the clinics and see if there were any patients that checked in." "Right" The heroes responded as they all split into two groups and went with either Erasure or Edgeshot.

"Do you really think that a single boy was capable of releasing so much energy?" Erasure asked.

"I don't know Erasure, but we need to make sure that he isn't dangerous." The Ninja Hero replied as they started their trek to the clinics.

"Oh man, that felt really good." Luke said with a satisfied expression on his face as he slightly rubbed his stomach as he and Kendo exited a noodle shop.

"I'll say, after you scarfed down like three or four bowls of ramen like it was nothing." She said as she briefly remembered about how he was gobbling down the noodles at amazing speed.

"Sorry about having your money spent on the food, but I had a lot of calories burned during my training and I forgot my wallet in my other pants." He said in defense. 'I know that it's not a complete lie, but I had a feeling that this realm doesn't share the same currency back home.'

"It's alright, just seeing how you were having problems just wanted me to at least help the best I can. I mean, isn't that what a hero is supposed to do?" She asked as Luke was surprised by her generosity and selflessness.

"Hey Kendo, can I ask you a question?" Luke asked as Kendo was curious for what he had to say.

"Back at the hospital, what do the doctor mean by being a great hero just because of my power, and what is U.A. exactly?" He asked as Kendo was shocked at what her friend had just said as she suddenly got in his face.

"What?! You mean to tell me that you haven't heard of U.A., which is one of the greatest hero schools in all of Japan?!" She exclaimed as she grabbed Luke by the shoulders and rapidly shook him back in forth.

"Gah! Ken-do, ea-sy on-the-arms!" Was all that Luke could say as he was being shaken, which Kendo suddenly realized what she was doing as she immediately let him go.

"Sorry about that, but U.A. is a big deal around here because of how it was the school where the number one hero and the undisputed Symbol of Peace graduated from: All Might!" She explained as she took out her phone and showed her friend a picture of a person. He was shocked to see the picture was a man with a very strong muscular build, as well as how he can see that he has blonde hair with two tufts sticking out front, as well as see how his eyes are shadowed, clearly not seeing what his eye color is, and wearing a big smile, showing his pearly whites. His costume consists of a skintight body suit with red, blue, yellow, and some white on it, with yellow wings on the sides of his arms, and a belt that resembles a face with red eyes.

"What the nin-wuey?! This guy is a unit!" Luke explained as he took the phone out of her hands as he got a closer look. 'Man, this guy could give Uncle Cole a run for his money.' He thought to himself as he soon gave the phone back to Kendo.

"I know, and he has been holding the title for a long time, always giving it his all, just to keep the peace. Just like how he was able to save a hundred people in under ten minutes." She explained.

"Woah, seriously? Just how powerful is this guy?" Luke asked.

"Well, word on the street says that he can be able to temporarily change the weather, with just throwing one punch." Kendo explained as his mouth just dropped to the ground, just by that information alone.

Luke shook his head, trying to gather everything that he could process. "Just what kind of quirk does this guy have that can allow him to do that?" He asked with his eyes bugging out.

"We don't know the gist of it, but we could only guess that he has some kind of enhanced strength quirk." Kendo explained, which caused Luke suddenly to remember something.

"Oh shoot, I forgot to ask what your power is? I mean I revealed my quirk and showed me the guy, I never got the chance to know about yours." Luke stated as Kendo suddenly remembered as well.

"Oh, yeah. You might want to step back a little bit." Kendo suggested as Luke took a few steps back. Kendo then activated her quirk, which caused Luke to be taken off guard for how big her hands alone just grew. "You see, my quirk is called Big Fist, which allows me to enlarge my hands to ginormous size." She explained as she shrunk her hands back to normal size.

"Wow! That's incredible! You can be able to do so much with your power." Luke commented as

"Help! Help!" a young voice called out as both teens turned towards the source of the voice, they soon bolted to see a young girl with large eyes and two small pigtails, wearing a green dress. Alongside her was an older girl with dark green hair that reached her waist and was tied in a bow, and how she has black eyes with a blank expression. But what caught Lukes's attention was how both of these girls share a slight resemblance of a frog. 'The longer I stay here, the weirder it gets.' He thought to himself after seeing the crazy so far. "Hey, is everything alright, we heard a cry for assistance and decided to come here?" He asked.

"Please, it's my little brother, he tried to grab the balloon my little sister accidentally let go, he climbed the tree and was able to grab it, but now he's afraid of coming down, ribbit." The older girl explained. 'Did she just say ribbit?' Luke questioned as both teens looked up to see a scared young boy with black hair hanging on to a tree while holding on to a balloon in another hand. "Please, someone help me get down." he cried out as tears started to form.

"Don't worry, we'll get you down shortly." Luke called out as he was starting to climb, only to remember how he made a promise to the doctor to take it easy and not do anything rash.

"Shouldn't a pro be around here?" the older sister said, as she looked around while Luke was deep in thought about something. He was looking up at the boy, then looked around himself until his eyes laid upon Kendo. Suddenly, an idea came in mind as an invisible lightbulb appeared over his head.

"Eureka!" Luke cried out as everyone turned to his attention. "Kendo, how much can you carry with your quirk?" he asked as Kendo was confused.

"Approximately around the weight of a car." she explained. "Why do you ask?" She then looked up to the boy and back to her friend, followed with a brief pause between the group before her eyes widened in realization. "Luke, you are a genius!" She exclaimed with a glimmer in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, but am I missing something?" the older sister asked as Kendo got close to Luke and activated her quirk on both of her hands as she held them low and opened them flat.

"Ready?" She asked as Luke got on her hands. "Going up." He joked as Kendo lifted her hands up as he was close to the young boy. "It's alright now, there's no need to be scared." Luke stated calmly as he soon helped the young boy out of the tree and gently placed him next to him, as Kendo started to lower them down.

Once close to the ground, the two boys hopped off as Kendo turned off her quirk, and the young boy soon ran up to the older girl and gave her a big hug.

"Oh Sami, don't ever scare me like that." The older sister said with relief in her voice. "Sorry sis, it won't happen again." The boy said as she puts him down and the brother walks over to his little sister. "And I think this belongs to you, Satsuki." he said as he held the balloon over to her.

The little girl happily took the balloon as she hugged her big brother. "Thank you, Sami." She said in an adorable voice as she took the balloon back.

"Thank you so much for helping my brother get down from there, and I have to say, that was some nice teamwork you did back there, ribbit." The older girl complimented.

"Thanks, but it was all a team effort, we all have a part to play in." Luke replied as Kendo had a small smile on her face.

"My name is Tsuyu Asui, but my friends call me Tsu." The older sister, now known as Asui, introduced. "And these are my little siblings, Samidare, whom you just saved, and my little sister Satsuki."

"Nice to meet you all, I'm Luke Garmadon, and this is my friend, Itsuka Kendo." Luke introduced his friend and himself.

"Garmadon, huh. That's quite the weird name, ribbit." She stated out loud. 'Wow, this girl is blunt.' Luke thought with a deadpan expression.

"Anyway, we better be going anyway, or else mom and dad will get worried. It was nice meeting you, ribbit. Hope we get to see each other again soon." Asui said as she and her siblings started to leave, until Samidare quickly turned around and had a smile on his face. "Thanks again for saving me ribbit." He called out.

"No problem little dude, just be sure that you stay out of trouble from here on out." He responded as he waved his arm goodbye. Soon, they had already left.

"You see, now do you have a slight idea of why I wanted to join U.A. in the first place?" Kendo questioned as they soon started walking.

"I think so, but we can talk more about it once we are done for today." Luke said with a grin on his face.

Suddenly, Luke felt a bump on his left side as he turned to see what ran into him. He looked down and saw a little girl fall on the ground to his feet. The girl had snow white hair that went to her knees, alongside a single slightly curved horn on the right side of her, as well as red eyes. What confused Luke the most was how she was just wearing a gown with bandages over her arms and legs.

"Whoa, are you alright, miss?" He asked as he was trying to comfort her, but she flinched from what he was trying to do. Luke saw how the girl was slightly shaking as she looked scared, like she was trying to ask for help through her emotions.

'What's gotten her so spooked? It's like she had a run in with an oni or a ghost.' He thought to himself.

"Eri..." said a chilling voice as they all saw a man was walking towards them from an alleyway. The man had pale skin color with short unkempt brown hair with golden eyes, while wearing a gold and dark red mask over his mouth. He wore a black dress shirt with a green jacket with purple feathers around his neck and white gloves over his hands. He also wore black pants with a brown belt with a gold buckle and white laced shoes with no socks. "You should be more careful. We don't want to cause anyone problems, do we?" he asked with a slightly menacing voice.
