"Hush! We don't want to be heard" Cloverpaw crept around the camp, towards the entrance. She hid in a bush with Willowkit, who was surprisingly smart enough to shut up and keep quiet. Willowkit was breathing heavily, but not audibly. Rain started pattering down on the forest, and Cloverpaw felt her the rain dampen her pelt, while Willowkit was visibly shivering, however he was smart enough to keep the noises to a minimum. The guards didn't go inside after the rain started, like Cloverpaw was hoping, although not expecting. Willowkit picked up a rock and threw it towards another bush, creating a subtle movement sound.
"Huh? What was that?"
The other guard sighed. "Do you want to check it out, Oakfern?"
"Umm. Yes" The guards both walked over to the bush, and Willowkit slipped into the camp, unseen, and Cloverpaw followed him.
"See, there's nothing there."
Cloverpaw watched, as Willowkit slipped towards what she assumed was the ShadowClan nursery. Cloverpaw stumbled after him, and hid next to the entrance. As she was following Willowkit, the rain started to fall heavier, cloaking her footsteps. Willowkit nimbly slipped into the nursery, and Cloverpaw felt her heart pound in suspense. She heard some commotion, and Willowkit ran out, followed by a ShadowClan queen. The queen towered over Cloverpaw, she had a black pelt, with an orange tail. Cloverpaw sprinted after Willowkit, as more cats came after them.
"What did you do?" Cloverpaw asked, while running after Willowkit. "And why is the entirety of Shadowclan chasing us?"
Instead of responding, Willowkit ran into a cave, and Cloverpaw followed him.
"Do you think they saw us?"
"No, I don't think so."
"Well, what did you do?" Cloverpaw interrogated.
"I may have tried to take a ShadowClan kit."
"Willowkit!"
"Sorry, I didn't mean to!"
"Well, it's too dangerous to try and get back to RiverClan. Let's just stay here."
"Okay!" Willowkit padded beside where Cloverpaw had lied down, and she could feel his pelt brush against hers.
"Willowkit, we have the entire cave."
"I know, but I'm cold" Cloverpaw sighed, and allowed Willowkit to lie next to her. Willowkit's soggy pelt dripped with rain, however he had already gone to sleep.
Cloverpaw woke up, to realise Willowkit wasn't in the cave. Instantly, she anxiously called out.
"Willowkit? Are you there?" No response came, but she could hear running water near her. Cloverpaw looked around, and saw a trickle of water in the dim light. Cloverpaw peered at a hole in the roof of the cave, where clouds covered the sky. 'Is StarClan angry at us? Did they take Willowkit?.' Cloverpaw glanced deeper into the cave. 'Willowkit wouldn't go deeper, would he?' Cloverpaw sighed, and decided to keep going. Why would Willowkit do that? He was relatively smart, just not that good at mossball. Cloverpaw could hear the water trickling down heavier, now rushing into a river. In the dark of the cave, Cloverpaw couldn't see anything, and almost slipped in the river.
"Willowkit, where are you?"
A voice echoed back from the void of the cave. "I'm here." Cloverpaw quietly thanked StarClan, and mewed "Come back over here."
Cloverpaw couldn't see much, only his vibrant green stripes were visible. Cloverpaw watched as Willowkit cautiously stepped towards Cloverpaw, slipped his footing, and fell into the river.
"Ack, Help!"
Cloverpaw almost leapt in after him, but hesitated. 'What about the prophecy?. No- Willowkit is worth it.' Cloverpaw leapt in after Willowkit, not caring about the prophecy. She could feel the water creep up her spine, dampening her fur. Willowkit bobbed ahead of her, but there was a thud, and Willowkit stopped moving. The water turned darker, and there was hardly any light, but Cloverpaw could see that there was blood in the water. The tunnel narrowed and Cloverpaw had to hold her breath. 'Am I going to die?' Cloverpaw saw light ahead, and emptied out into the lake. She frantically looked and spotted Willowkit, with his head down, and bleeding. Cloverpaw bit down on his muzzle, but he didn't flinch. Cloverpaw dragged Willowkit's limp body onto the shore. He was breathing, although he was unconscious and was bleeding bad from his head. Cloverpaw licked the blood away, and his cut didn't seem too bad. She bit down on his pelt and started dragging him towards RiverClan.
Cloverpaw had done it. She had gotten back to the camp. Only one problem, the camp was almost completely empty. Only the Queens, Kits, Elders, and Medicine Cat were in the camp, all the Warriors were gone.
"Cloverpaw! What are you doing?" Interrogated Leaftail.
"I don't need to explain myself." Cloverpaw answered sharply. "Just help Willowkit." While looking thoroughly annoyed, Leaftail put some cobwebs on Willowkit's cut, and Willowkit woke up.
"I didn't know Cobwebs wake someone up?" Cloverpaw mewed, intrigued
"They don't, that was just a coincidence." Leaftail responded. Cloverpaw padded out of the medicine den, and took a rest. She needed to stay for the Prophecy. She padded around the den, trying to get comfortable, and she lied down in her nest.
"May all cats old enough to catch their own prey Gather in the Clan clearing!" Startled, Cloverpaw jumped up. 'Shoot! Its Willowkit's Apprentice ceremony.' Cloverpaw padded out of the apprentice den and glanced at Greystar.
"We have a new apprentice to name." Willowkit seemed eager to run up to the Highrock. Cloverpaw stumbled out of the Den, and viewed what might be the most important part of Willowkit's life.
"Willowkit. Can you please come up here to receive your name?" Willowkit ran up besides Greystar, eager to be apprenticed.
"Willowkit, from this day forth you shall be known as Willowpaw, until you receive your warrior name." Willowkit looked around, beaming. Greystar glanced at his deputy, Flameblaze, and Flameblaze stepped forwards. Greystar continued.
"Willowpaw, your mentor will be Flameblaze." Willowpaw hesitated, and looked visibly- Not upset, but less excited than before. Willowkit touched noses with Flameblaze, before sitting down.
"Ok, everyone. Back your duties." Cloverpaw moved towards Willowpaw's grey and green fur, and he responded. Cloverpaw saw everyone walking back to their dens, and stayed in the clearing. Not for Willowpaw, but to escape the camp for the prophecy. Besides, she needed to see who the other prophecy member was. After a conversation with Willowkit he refused to leave. Then, without hesitation, Willowkit asked "Ok, are you the other prophecy member?
