"the day has come, that's for sure." Zero mindedly said, he's pumped up for the encounter! Zero began to drink a lot of water and some food, to be prepared. He was the only one prepared, and so Zero found Rusty on the wooden fence. Zero and Rusty were both brave, and they had been bonding for quite some time. Zero has been making friends, but he tried not to bond with them so much, since he's gonna miss them a lot.
"Hey Zero!" Rusty said from above. "hey Rusty, where you goin'?" I replied.
"I'm gonna check out the forest for a bit, okay?" Rusty said, and I replied. "I'm gonna come too, Rusty." I said, seriously. Rusty, Smudge, and princess were all surprised, and Rusty nodded, so I jumped right onto the thick wooden fence with him. Looking ahead into the deep forest.
"Hey, come from down there, its dangerous in the forest!" smudge whined. Rusty replied, "Its all good smudge, I'm just going for a peek. It wouldn't hurt." I also replied, but mostly snorted, "no need, I'll protect your scrawny friend smudge."
"Hey, I'll let you know my brother isn't scrawny! Your just... really strong and fast." Princess replied, kind of blushing. "yeah, I'm going first, Rusty." I hopped down, Ever since 2 moons, I've been perfectly training, and it worked.
"Be careful Zero!" Princess mewled, she liked me, and it was clear. Smudge just nudged her shoulder. "Don't start crying for your boyfriend, Princess!" Smudge snickered.
"Oh my god, can you guys stop yowling? Let's go rusty." I said, and Rusty nodded. Me and Rusty quickly padded into the forest, finding some nature, of course.
"so, why did you come into the forest, Rusty?" I said. "Well, I wanted to explore it, since it sounded cool.." Rusty replied. We both spot a mouse. "shhhh.. its a mouse, get down." I quietly whispered. "okay, lets get it, Zero." Rusty quietly said.
I didn't do a hunters crouch, but... it was a different move, and I swiftly killed the mouse. I quickly grabbed its tiny body and I bit it hard. "there, I got it." I said. Rusty was impressed, and... so was the forest cats that were lurking here. My ears prick at it, and I stare into the forest. There was rustling.
And then a gray cat jumped out, trying to go for Rusty, but I grab him by the neck easily! "Who are you?" I snarled. I knew who it was, really. But I didn't blurt it out.
"H-Hey, I wasn't trying to hurt your friend, okay?" he said. I replied, "Good, because I would have killed you too." I look at the dead mouse. I put down the gray cat. He was young, like us. "u-uh, why are you so big?" He said, and I instantly replied, "I'm a Maine coon, one of its kind around here." I sit down.
"Uh, my name is Graypaw... what's yours?" He said, and rusty replied, "I'm Rusty, and my friend here is Zero. He's awesome." Rusty smiled a bit. "at least you know your manners, Graypaw. So, your a forest cat, what's your business?"
"I'm supposed to be patrolling, but I found you guys, and why aren't you back at your twoleg nest?" Graypaw said. "Me and Zero were exploring and hunting, yeah." Rusty said.
We heard some rustling, and Graypaw quickly said, "get back to your nest, more forest cats are coming!" Rusty didn't move, well, he did, but it was pitiful, so I stayed too. It was Lionheart and Bluestar.
"hey, kittypets, and graypaw..." Lionheart said. "We told you not to go near twoleg nests, Graypaw." Graypaw replied, "I'm sorry, I just found these 2 kittypets and tried to scare them off..." I look down at Graypaw. I was almost as big as lionheart!
"Woah, your a big one, aren't you?" Bluestar said, and I nodded. "I'm a Maine coon, I don't wanna explain who I am for the 20th time now. Its tiring." I snorted. "Yeah I'm sure you are..." Bluestar amusingly said. "But, let's talk about your skills. You hunted that mouse with different precision and skill, what was that?"
"oh about my skills... I call it claws of flowing water." I smirk a bit, quite proud of it. Rusty was surprised, and he replied, "You didn't tell me, why?" I shake my head. "No need to dwell on it."
And then I noticed that Bluestar wasn't so harsh on us, and I might have changed our timeline, and I knew it. So I gave the mouse to Lionheart. "Thanks, uh, what's your guys name again?" I replied, "I'm Zero, and my orange friend here is Rusty." Bluestar said, "hey, want to join our clan? The both of you?" Graypaw gasped, and he replied, "Their just kittypets, they can't.. at least, not Rusty..." Graypaw looked up at me. I waved innocently. "I can hunt and fight, hear me?" I said, looking at Bluestar and Lionheart. They both nod. "You can consider our offer, starting today. We will come back tomorrow."
Princess was whining and crying, tugging at me. I was shaking my head, sighing. "Don't leave meeee!" Princess whined. Rusty couldn't help but laugh at the scene unfolding, and he said, "Sister, you don't need to worry, there's other cats like him around here anyways." Princess just hissed and kept clinging to me.
I got up and said, "I'm gonna go into the forest with Rusty, okay? I'll visit you once in a while so you don't have to cry all the time." I roll my eyes, amused. I kiss her on the forehead to reassure her. "There, all better Princess."
After that, I wrapped up my original training, and I prepared for the whole story. I was prepared and ready to change this timeline, to save them all...
