Chapter 5

So far Zero is training hard, increasing his skills and power of himself. I've been running, hopping, practicing meditation and his "claws of flowing water."

I know the shadowy figure is watching my progress. She, or he is watching my growth of me becoming their destined Monster...

I KNOW YOU CAN HEAR ME ZERO! I shiver, looking around nervously, before calming down with a deep breath and some practice.

I know I can't help Firepaw in his destiny due to mine, I know exactly why.

Firepaw and graypaw went to a gathering with bluestar and the others talking and talking until the gathering of the leaders start, and they find out that Brokenstar has warned us about a rogue cat who killed some kits, and I immediately knew it was a big lie.

I knew most of it all, really. But, I didn't know windclan was gone, until I needed to be reminded by hearing Firepaw talk about Windclans disppearance.

I'm grooming myself in the clan clearing. I've been getting used to grooming and stuff, taking care of my Maine coon fur and all. I'm still nervous, and I might explore the forest in hopes of some peace, but something keeps pulling me, somewhere...

And then I think, trying to remember some special details from warrior cats. So far, I've found out I'm gonna save Spottedleaf and Snowkit, and I know its gonna change a lot of the timeline, but I'll save everyone.

even at the cost of my life...

Timeskip

I was listening to some elders joking around and stuff, before I just got bored and moved somewhere else, finding Sandpaw. She's always snarky and all, but for some reason not with me. Maybe because I look like her mentor. I shrug, walking a different way. I thought quickly, before rushing to the medicine den. I'm here to protect the kits and Spottedleaf. I mindedly said.

"hey Spottedleaf, I was gonna hang out here since I was bored." I say, I was always good at hiding things, and it for sure worked for this moment. "Okay, you can stay dear." Spottedleaf replied, and she decided to sit down with me.

I yawned, and it made Spottedleaf giggle. "what was that for?" I said, "nothing, nothing. You just look cute like that." Spottedleaf said. I was surprised. "okay, if you say so." I shrug... I felt kind of uneasy, so I got up.

Then Clawface strikes, I quickly get slashed in the arm, but I quickly kick him, and Spottedleaf takes notice and attacks him. We both attack with precise kicks and slashes, but its clear I'm very battle experienced... "What's your business Clawface?!" I say, jumping back swiftly. "Oh, I'm sure you know... to steal your clanmates kits, They will be ours, apprentice, besides, I don't have time to deal with an apprentice and a medicine cat, so I'm out of here!" Clawface says, running off.

I stayed there for a bit as Firepaw, Graypaw, Tigerclaw, Bluestar come back from their journey from the moonstone, and I find out the kits were stolen, either way, we investigate while Tigerclaw says he thinks its Yellowfang. "I swear to starclan it was that damned shadowclan traitor! We shouldn't have trusted Yellowfang, Bluestar." Tigerclaw says.

Bluestar replies, "Don't start assuming before we can find out the culprit, Tigerclaw. I'll fetch Firepaw, Winterpaw and Graypaw and other more to find those kits."

Bluestar also says this to Frostfur, since she's saddened about the situation, while Firepaw is happy spottedleaf is alive... I should have let spottedleaf die instead, this might not be good at all...

I panick a bit, before Sandpaw takes notice. "What is it Winterpaw? Are you okay?" Sandpaw says, and I reply, "I.. I'll just try and fetch those kits with the others. Don't worry." I decide to walk away, mumbling a few words, and Sandpaw thinks, before shrugging it off and walks away.

I grab some prey, eating before we go and rescue those poor kits of Frostfurs. "Hey, were gonna get those kits back, Winterpaw." Firepaw meows. They thought I was slightly panicking over those kits and all, but... their not entirely wrong.

After a while, Bluestar decides to just get Firepaw, me, Graypaw, and ravenpaw to find yellowfang since we 4 have a bond with her, besides, its safer. We venture into the forest in search of her, and we trail some scents of her. There's no kit scent, but there is for sure a hint Yellowfang in the air.

"Hey, lets check over here guys, I smell some over here." I say, trailing some faint scents. I think Ravenpaw is supposed to be going to the barn-

"also, we need to get Ravenpaw somewhere safe, maybe the barn guys." Firepaw says. "okay, ill stay back and wait for you guys." I said, softening and slowing down as Firepaw brings Ravenpaw to the barn. Me and Graypaw stay behind, trying to hold onto the scent.

Firepaw soon comes back, trailing the scents before we find Yellowfang in a spot. There's no kits or anything. "hey Yellowfang." Graypaw says, as we approach closer. "Hey apprentices..." Yellowfang says, sitting down.

We talk to Yellowfang for a long while, before taking notice that Brokenstar was training kits so early, and that he went as far as killing those kits, since he wanted a strong and fearsome clan. Yellowfang was framed by the leader of killing Brightflowers kits, and she was soon exiled because of it.

Yellowfang mentioned she didn't steal any kits either, so it must have either been Clawface or some other Shadowclan cat...

And she mentioned that the apprentices and warriors were so young, and Firepaw and Graypaw take notice, as I silently listen and watch, knowing most of it already though. We then move on, as the 4 of us find a patrol led by Whitestorm, and we walk with his patrol towards Shadowclan, and the next thing we find is a shadowclan patrol, mostly friendly cats. They help.

"Hey, you 3 are gonna attack Shadowclan on the inside, while we sneak for the kits, got it?" Whitestorm whispered, Were right near the camp of Shadowclan. We 3 nod, and we prepare. "I'll also assign some others with you, so don't worry."

I feel my huge, overwhelming hidden potential lurking inside of me at that moment, so much to be learnt, so much power... I knew I was gonna go through a part of monsterization or something, and I feared for it. I know I was gonna kill a cat today, at least, a life of a particular, blood-thirsty tyrant...

SO FAR, the story is goin' good.

The chapter ahead is gonna be my first, actually detailed fight, so its gonna be a thrill for Zero, and you... (maybe.)
