I Don't Own Fnaf

Jeremy was very uncomfortable, standing, well, leaning against the side of the van, which currently had a massive tarp over it covering the designs that would give it away as being from the Cove, waiting on Mike and Scott to get out with their respective animatronics in tow.

This whole thing made him... Incredibly uncomfortable, not the crime committing aspect of it, that... kind of got dulled down on his moral spectrum around this time last year when he was waking up nightly from nightmares about how he helped kill a man... God, he really hoped that wasn't going to be an actual real worry right now. He had enough anxiety just standing out here, waiting and looking around at every vehicle that was driving around way too late at night to be up to anything meaningful and therefore incredibly suspicious to Jeremy's eyes... And yes he was aware it was hypocritical given he was the one helping an active crime.

He was still trying to not think about that, but it was just making him more and more uncomfortable because he was really not doing a good job of not thinking about it.

Looking around again, for the tenth time in as many minutes, he pushed himself off of the van and did a quick lap around unsure just what to do with himself while waiting. It made him ironically think back to the last time he had staked someplace out, another Freddy's, of course, because that was Jeremy's life. Stuck in a car with Fritz, the two of them barely really knew each other and made awkward conversation while trying desperately to figure out what to do.

There wasn't even that right now, no one to talk to at least... He wished he could have had someone with him, if only to stave off the nerves, but that would have been dangerous to do something like that for any of the animatronics to be this close to any Freddy's, that's the whole reason they were in this mess of a situation. It was better like this, even if he really wished he had been selfish enough to do so anyways, to at least ask.

Foxy's company would have been nice, mostly because at least then it wouldn't have been silent right now. Or Goldie's, he'd at least respond to whatever nervous chatter Jeremy would come up with and spit out just to fill the air... Bonnie as well, he'd at least sit and listen, and frankly having the rabbit in the man's line of sight probably would have helped his nerves a lot more. The idea that he wasn't safe... The others would protect him, Jeremy was sure of it, but that feeling of possible danger for the kid was ever present when the man himself was the one in the actually dangerous situation.

Was that what it was like for his parents? Constantly concerned even when there hadn't been a reason for it? What about when there had been a very real reason for it? God, Jeremy wasn't sure he could handle being on the other side of something like that if it was his kid who went through something like that... Not that Bonnie-... Oh who was he kidding? Himself? Apparently not...

Oh god, he was becoming his parents.

Shaking his head very quickly at that, he decided the silence was not doing him any favors as he continued to more or less pace around the van, once, then twice, then a third time turning to look over at the building, a frown marring his face as he stared at it... Before slowly tilting his head and looked... closer.

Empathy was... weird, when he first was inflicted with it on a level he never wanted, still didn't want, it was like the whole world screamed, like that buzzing of flouriest lights that was just too damn loud to focus on anything else, but not in your ears, in your mind. Inescapable and impossible to really tune out, until recently, until he talked to others who knew what it was like, who learned under fire, who could help him.

He kept it all quiet these days, it was... blissful as it was terrifying to not be able to just know what was going on in another person's head, ironically Mike's mind becoming a wall of nothing had helped him a lot in adjusting, because he had no choice but to when it came to the other man. Now though... He just wanted to know what was going on in there...

So... Why the hell was he feeling so much terror?

Before he could really process that, he felt himself instinctively slamming his focus back onto the present, as the second he had looked away from everything else, the sound of a car rushed in, close, as he shot around to look and watched with horror as a car rolled up to the curb, as someone got out. What the hell? Was that Sheldon? If someone saw him they'd call the police in a heartbeat, what was he supposed to do? Get the van away? No, it wasn't even running yet, it would draw attention to him if they hadn't already noticed, what was he-...

Wait a minute... Was that Charlie's car?!

What in the world... Is... Is that Foxy pulling himself out of that passenger seat?!

Panic offset suddenly by surprise, he looked around for a moment before rushing forwards towards the now identified Charlie.

Jeremy just found himself gaping like a fish as he watched the two pull themselves out of the car, walking together out in the middle of the parking lot, walking straight towards the front doors as he blinked to himself, once, just trying to make sure his eyes weren't playing tricks on him before finally he just had to let out an almost disbelieving huff before what he was seeing really caught up to him. His feet were moving before he could think about what he was doing, rushing over towards them, his voice catching in his throat at the last second as his eyes whipped around to the empty air, unsure if anyone was around, before just rushing after the two as they got to the front door.

He only just caught the sight of Charlie trying the door, and to the man's great relief, for a whole of two seconds, it was locked, barring them entrance, and giving the man a fleeting hope to get to them before they got inside. A million questions about just why the hell the two were here in the first place playing in the back of his mind and unsure more than anything about just what the hell he was going to have to say to get them away...

But those questions, and that relief in the thought that he'd be able to ask them died a quick and violent death, as after those two seconds of Charlie trying the door, Foxy had taken a step back, and promptly rammed forwards with all several hundred pounds of mechanical force. The same kind of charge that the fox had done against several inches of metal blast doors that had been at the last Freddy's, the ones with impacts so strong it felt like the room shook from the vibrating impact of metal being hit, ones that left dents in the doors.

The wooden doors to this building never stood a chance, practically exploding off the hinges as the animatronic just used the forward momentum of slamming into, and then through, the doors to charge right inside. Thankfully to whoever was up there, it seemed Charlie was just as surprised as Jeremy was, meaning it hadn't been the plan to just break their way in like an action movie, but that did nothing to stop the action that had already been done, and it seemed Charlie's shock went through faster than Jeremy's own. As within the next second she had already moved to follow after the fox, while Jeremy gave up on subtlety, the crash could probably be heard from a block away, he needed to get to them and get them out now.

Breaking into a run, pulling his flashlight out, he rushed in behind the two, his voice speaking up a bit more loudly and frantic than he wanted to admit, as he spoke out.

"W-What in the world are you two doing!?" Both spun around looking at him in shock, like he wasn't here to be on lookout and therefore wouldn't have noticed them, as Charlie's mouth opened and closed once, as Foxy seemed more than ready to spit something out when before either of them could say anything the sound of a blare echoed around them, as all three spun around to watch in horror as a metal door, just like the ones that Jeremy had just been thinking about, covering their exit as what sounded like a hundred air conditioners kicked on.

Jeremy couldn't help but gulp, wondering just what they had just got themselves into... When a voice spoke up overheard, sounding like the words were directed towards Mike.

Fritz found himself just staring at the animatronic in front of him, moving and shifting on its own, it... should have been turned off, he knew it was turned off... It didn't take a genius to figure out what was happening, and yet it still took his brain a long moment to process it anyways. Not to say his body had been at all idle, as the second the realization of talking animatronic in his living room slammed into him, he had stumbled back in a rush so fast that his feet had been knocked out from under himself as he fell back with a yelp, as he slammed the back of his legs into the couch behind him, falling on his backside into the cushions.

"I- I" His words weren't coming to him, as the fox leaned in a bit, it's head tilting to the side as he watched the face move, the plates clicking and moving about in a way that made his own itch just to look at as his hands twitched and itched to do something, even as he stood rooted in place and terror. Before, suddenly the animatronic fox- and holy shit there was a living animatronic in his living room- reared back and suddenly let out the loudest laugh he had ever heard.

"HA! The look on your face! Oh man, if I knew I'd get this kind of audience for my first appearance, I would have done this sooner! But you know what they say, gotta save the best for last!" The fox was moving now, walking around, as Fritz tensed, pushing himself back and up the couch, trying to put more distance between them while the foxy model just moseyed on by without even really looking twice at him, still talking away.

"You know, it's nice being able to move again, been a while you know? Those tests you did by the way were in a horrible order, made it take so much longer to do the data transfer, kept messing with my systems, very rude. Won't hold it against yah or anything, I get it, took me a while to figure it out anyways, but whatever!"

"I-... What?" The foxy just continued to move around, exploring, looking all over, as Fritz just stared with wide eyes which occasionally flickered to the taser that was resting on the table, before glancing back as finally, after a long moment, while the funtime model was seemingly fascinated all of a sudden with his own fingers, open and closing the metal hands over and over, staring at them with mild awe, Fritz finally spoke up.

"So... Uh... W-Who are you? Ennard?" The reaction was instant, the goofy voice and bouncing energy that frankly threw Fritz way off his game vanished in an instant, those empty sockets for eyes twisting around as the entire head twisted way past around in a way that hurt just to look at as they looked their eyes on Fritz who was frozen in place just staring, his mind already trying to gage the pouncing power the animatronic had and if he had enough time to dive for the coffee table, when suddenly the animatronic turned away, letting out a sharp stuttering laugh.

"T-They got nothing on me baby, I'm nothing like that messed up tangled mess of wires. Nothing" That last word was said with a much harsher tone, vanishing just as quickly as it appeared, as the foxy spun around, hands waving out to the sides as he spoke up again, much more cheerfully, "Now that you know better, wanna another guess? I'll give you three" Fritz just took a deep breath in as he slowly began to make his way to his feet, carefully, still staring at the foxy, because even if they seemed to be playing some sort of game they only knew the rules to, that didn't mean the thing was no less dangerous, as his eyes flickering around the room before settling on the device nearly the tv stand, next to where funtime foxy had been stations up until now...

It was like everything suddenly clicked into place, as his eyes widened in shock, his words coming out before he could stop them along with a hand that shot up, pointing at the animatronic in realization.

"Michael Brookes! Y-You were... Were you in the handunit?" Fritz had heard second hand about some ghosts being able to possess things that weren't animatronics, but he hadn't thought he'd be subjected to something like that any time soon, hadn't thought someone else would just show up.

"Ding ding! Knew you were a smarty, being able to get this old hunk of junk working, will have to do some work on it but I'm sure you did your very best and I appreciate it" Fritz just stared again, this was... not at all what he was expecting if he was being honest, not in the slightest, but suddenly everything in hindsight was beginning to make sense in his own head, as the animatronic, Michael, apparently, put a hand up to his chin, humming to himself before suddenly declaring.

"Know what? Nah, Michael's boring, wouldn't want to be like that stick in the mud Mike I've heard so much about, and Foxy's taken... I'll need to have me a think on it! We can do that on the car ride over!"

"W-What's happening?" Fritz looked over, startled at the sound of a new voice, only to see Janet standing there, staring out at the living room with wide eyes as Mich- Brookes, as Brookes' head twisted around to stare at her for a long moment before suddenly giving a deep stage bow, one arm curled up over his chest and the other placed across his lower back as he said.

"Well hello! Nice to meet you, I've heard, seen, and even smelled quite a lot about you, pleasure's all mine! We were just talking about heading off to Freddy's!" Suddenly Fritz found his voice again, as an energy that he had been sourly lacking up until that moment burned itself alive in his chest, the fear replacing itself with something else. Janet showing up, reminding Fritz that she was here in the same apartment as the animatronic, suddenly made him so much more aware of himself and the situation and just how far out of control he felt.

"Wait, no, what's going on? We aren't going anywhere until you explain just what the hell you're doing here" Brookes just grinned, and it was weird, he knew the funtimes expressions were much more active than the others, Foxy could only really emote through his eyebrows, so seeing a foxy face actually shift and twitch was strange and honestly unnerving.

"Are you sure that's what we want to focus on, it sounds like something's going on" Fritz just frowned, stepping a bit closer with bravery he had no idea where it really came from, though it helped the step closer meant he was another step closer to the weapon resting on the coffee table.

"And why do you care?" The fox just shrugged, and Fritz was once more caught up with how much the animatronic seemed to move, everything was off, after seeing it motionless or only moving in very slight ways as tests, seeing the fluid awkwardness of Brookes now piloting the suit made something itch in wrongness in the back of his head.

"Call it returning the favor, I hear a puppet's been snatched, and I'd hate for such a lovely couple to be separated" ...Couple? Janet was faster on the uptake, though still not fully getting it, as she spoke up next.

"What are you talking about?" The fox just glanced between the two, for the first time not immediately jumping into some overexaggerated set of words or actions, almost confused, but it barely lasted a few seconds before he bounced back as he said casually.

"Hmm? Oh, I mean Mike and the puppet of course, I've been around for a little bit now, and may have done a bit of a goof when I first saw the two of them go down to the underground level" Brookes said the words flippantly, but it felt like ice was being injected into Fritz's veins, as he spoke up.

"You helped him get hurt?"

"Eh, more distracted, but that's not important really now is it? Do you really want to go arguing about semantics, or would you rather show me where you parked?" Janet spoke up next, glancing over at Fritz for the first time since her eyes had landed on the foxy wandering around the living room.

"Is something going on?" Fritz gritted his teeth as he looked between the two for a moment before saying quickly.

"Foxy and Charlie are missing, Goldie just told me and I can't get in contact with anyone who's at Freddy's, I think something might be happening" The two shared a long look before Janet surprisingly was the one who nodded.

"Right, let's get going then" She walked forwards into the living room, walking right up to the animatronic, staring at him for a long second before asking carefully but surprisingly casually, "If you want to help you better actually help... What's your name?"

Fritz thought she was being way to casual about this, but she also never really learned like the rest of them just how dangerous unknown animatronics could be first hand, she never even really got it from Ennard, it hadn't been something she had lived through, the only Ennard she knew was what she heard second hand from Scott and the one time she saw them was when she was dosed from whatever that nightmare room did. She didn't know to be as wary as Fritz was, it made his hands itch to do something as she went right up to the haunted machine without any visible fear.

Brookes just stared at her for a long moment, before breaking into what sounded like a giggle fit.

"O-Oh I like you! Hmm. I was just talking about this you know, Michael's all boring and it'd get confusing real quick if we started repeating names all over the place, and I ain't all that interested in pirate play... I'm a bit of a chuckle head if you haven't noticed!" He went into another laughter fit, and Fritz was beginning to wonder just how sane the soul inside that suit was, he had no idea just how long that handunit had just been laying there for... he wasn't sure he wanted to know either. But it was clear Brookes wasn't fully... hinged. Janet just stared ahead for a moment before saying.

"I can call you Chuckles if you want"

"Ha! You're a riot! And maybe onto something... Eh, I'll figure it out later, let's ah get-ah move on!" The three stared at each other, before Janet just glanced at Fritz who just gritted his teeth, something really could be going wrong... Damn, fine.

"Right, come on, let's get going" The fox beamed and Janet just nodded, sharply, moving off to grab something, as Fritz made sure to reach down and grab the taser, infinitely aware of the way that the fox's eyes focused on the item, before the animatronic twisted around with a sudden loud humming tune as he wandered over and reached down and happily snatched up the hand unit, looking it over closely as Fritz just stared.

He could tell the fox was in deep thought, the expressive face and seemingly lack of care about controlling said expressions, meant he was as easy to read as he wasn't, an odd mix, given Fritz was sure the happy go lucky act was just an act, but still... he just gritted his teeth and went to get his keys, the other's might be in danger, and for the time being Brookes seemed willing to help, and that's what the man needed to focus on at the moment.

Jeremy was panicking, the sounds of that voice about them playing out, as he glanced around to Charlie who's face had gone pale white at the sound of it. He didn't recognize it himself, but it was clear she did, probably some old Freddy's employee maybe? It didn't matter, his focus turned back to the room, whatever was happening was between that man and Mike, who seemed to have fallen into holding a conversation with the man over the speaker system, Jeremy could only hear half the conversation, but he just tuned it out, he had to get them out of here, that was his job, as he moved over, grabbing Charlie by the shoulders.

A part of him wanted to shake her about and demand why the hell she was here, but he didn't need to ask, he knew, she was here for her brother, Foxy was here because he wanted to do something, wanted to help, he knew why, he didn't agree to it, it wasn't on them to save the day, and the fact that they were making a giant mess of things was going to get them all in trouble, something he was going to tell them both later, when the weren't trapped in a building with things that potentially might want to kill them.

"Charlie, hey, come listen to me!" Charlie's eyes were still wide, unfocused, she was the one shutting down, and Jeremy didn't really know what to do, as he listened to the sound of Foxy raging against the door, the fox was doing somehow though, and if it got them out, Jeremy was willing to let him, but for right now he needed both to be at least present, "Charlie! Come on, focus, what's wrong?" She finally seemed to snap out of it, as she stared up at the nearest speaker with a distant but aware expression as she muttered something out. Jeremy had to ask her to repeat it, but this time he heard it all too well.

"T-That's my dad's voice" Jeremy felt his face twist up in confusion and hesitance, as he asked carefully.

"But I thought he-"

"He's dead, I know he is- I- I saw him... I-" Jeremy spoke up before she could get lost again.

"Listen, I don't know what's happening, but if it can't be him, then don't think about it, Mike and Scott will handle it, we need to get out of here first, before anything happens" That low droning from what sounded like air conditioners still hadn't stopped and it gave Jeremy a horrible feeling that he couldn't put a name on, just... worry. As he looked around for a moment, before finally noticing he was sweating, frowning to himself, he stared at Charlie, noticing for the first time the trails of sweat rolling down her temples... It was...

It was sweltering, as he felt himself tug at the collar of his shirt, before with a grunt decided to just shed his jacket entirely, the thing was already too hot to handle wearing it. It was still winter, just in the late throes of it, so he had been wearing something heavy to combat the night chill, but now it was way too much, and he had a bad feeling he knew why... That talk from the speaker... From who might be Henry Emily, Charlie and Mari's father, about cutting off loose ends... They had to get out of here, now.

That's when he looked over at Foxy and grimaced.

Foxy was not in the mood for talking or listening, instead simply rushing forwards at an almost blitzing speed, his entire weight going into his shoulder and them promptly into the new metal doors barring their escape, the entire thing rumbling with the force of the impact, but doing nothing to actually let them escape, as he let out a low growl, glaring at the wall, moving back to do so again. Over and over, but it made no difference but to feel the shoulder of his suit beginning to get more and more damaged, he was probably close to making a few holes, but he wasn't sure he cared.

Suddenly though, before he could get another jumping start, Jeremy was in front of him, forcing the fox to take a step back as he glared at the man while looking around, he was in here... He wanted to wreck the place, to find the puppet, to finally help, but some blasted guard had shut them in, and the idea of being trapped in this building was all but putting the fox into a frenzy.

"Get out of the way!" He snarled the words, but Jeremy didn't back down, standing just as still as ever, even as he could feel the pounding of his heart in his chest, it had been a while since he had an enraged animatronic in front of him, the fact it was Foxy made it so much worse, his mind flashing back to the last time a fox attacked him, but he gritted his teeth and said out loud, hoping the teen was being reasonable.

"We need to think this through! Slamming into things isn't going to help anything, calm down and we can get out of this" The fox let out a low mechanical growl, but whatever else he was going to do was interrupted by the sound of a small 'Ugh!' sound, just barely audible with the loudness of whatever machine was running. It made Jeremy's head snap to the side, staring ahead and for the first time realizing the fact that the three of them were in a building that had been made for the express purpose of collecting haunted animatronics... And that there was very little chance they were alone in the main show room.

Foxy seemed to realize that at the same time, as he spun around, lowering down like he was about to pounce on whatever had made the sound, only... nothing was there. Jeremy stepped forwards, his light shining around wildly through the air only to feel his blood freeze in place at the sight of it all.

The main room was nothing like what Mike and Charlie had described, Charlie herself gasping at the sight of it all. Most of anything that could be considered an attraction had been pushed about covering the floor and half were toppled over, but that wasn't the main thing, no, that was the machines... The animatronics, most of them weren't doing anything, just loose endoskeletons that were lying limp on the ground, unmoving, such a sight made something sharp roll down Jeremy's spine, it reminded him to much of the parts and service rooms which were more or less littered with machine limbs and pieces, he never felt right in those places, this was no different.

And then there was the other animatronics, that pig thing Charlie had mentioned was knocked down at some point, still as still as a statue, which just doubled down that it wasn't alive, a small mercy. The broken and ripped open bellora was here was well, slumped against one of the far walls looking at destroyed and unmoving as ever... But there were other things. Things that weren't the large sized machines, smaller, much smaller, darting around, his flashlight catching the shadows of movement, but trying to keep track of it all was nearly impossible, as he gritted his teeth before calling out.

"H-Hello? Is-... Are you...?" He wasn't sure what he was trying to ask, not really, maybe if they were a threat? If they needed help? He had no idea, but the idea of not knowing was terrifying in of itself, even as his shirt began to cling to his chest with sweat, he could tell whatever was happening, it wasn't good. Foxy had no care in the slightest for approaching the situation carefully, instead marching past Jeremy and howling out his words.

"If any of you want something, try it! Otherwise get yahselves out of our way while we get out of here!" He waited a long second, like he was waiting to see if anything would come out of the darkness to challenge the massive fox to a brawl. Jeremy felt himself tense, his breath hitching as he too waited, unsure just what was going to happen, unsure he wanted to know either, momentarily wishing he hadn't stopped Foxy at all from going at the door, maybe they could have gotten lucky and gotten out before they been realized they weren't alone?

The silence stretched on for a long moment, as Foxy continued to snarl at the air, a welcomed challenge to smack down whatever came forwards... but nothing did, not to say nothing happened, it was just infinitely more horrifying than if some metal monstrosity walked out.

Instead, a deep rumbling laugh echoed out, sounding like it should have come from a kid if the sound hadn't been pitched down and morphed into something horrific and nightmarish. Jeremy's hand, still gripping tight to the flashlight, spun on instinct right towards the direction of the sound.

Charlie was the one who spoke up next, her voice nervous and with a hitch and tremor to it showing she was only just really understanding the situation they were in, as the three of them stared at the lit up form of a slumped rotund figure. Its body, covered with blue overalls and a striped shirt, a to small hat on its head, with a face filled with sharp pointed teeth and pointed blood red eyes.

It was Nightmare Balloon Boy... And it wasn't alone, in its long bony left hand, held in its elongated fingers, was a small doll-like animatronic with a familiar looking masked head. It took a second for Jeremy to remember its name, a minireena. A minireena who was actively thrashing and struggling, fighting with everything in its power to escape the grip of the Nightmare animatronic, as Jeremy didn't need to use his ability to feel the palpable terror writhing off its form.

There was only just enough time to take in the sight of the two, before suddenly that haunting, echoing laugh played out again, as all three watched in horror, as the hand shot up, in a blitzing motion, up to the head of the nightmare, as they watched as the jaw filled with rows of needle like metal teeth opened up... And with a distorted screech of sound, the Minireena was impaled and ripped to shreds. A leg of the doll caught in its teeth, most of the rest falling into the insides of the animatronic, while the now disconnected head bounced about in the mouth for a second before somehow managing to escape, bouncing off and clattering on the floor.

Jeremy felt bile rise up in the back of his throat while Charlie screamed, knowing just as well as the other two that they had just watched someone die, Foxy's body coiling up and ready to fling himself at the thing... Only for Jeremy's light to suddenly flicker on and off for just a second...

And in that second, another laugh played, only for when the light came back on, Nightmare Balloon Boy was gone, and the shadows around them seemed to dance.

Short Chapter! After last time? I'm cruel I know, but this isn't just the Mike and Mari show, no matter how much I would still love it if it was. And as such, I need to have some things spread out and the rest of the cast actually doing things to help out the plot here to make sure that there's at least a chance that not everyone is going to burn to death around them.

Not that it seems they're doing a great job of that, Jeremy, Charlie, and Foxy are all in danger, Goldie is pissed off but safe enough, and Fritz is a bit busy trying to figure out what Chuckles the Fox's deal is, which, you know, valid. Speaking of Chuckles, they've already been pretty fun to write, they're both sassy and funny, and I appreciate that outlet for my humor while still writing everyone's everything being in danger. Usually I do that through Mike and his humor coping mechanisms, but for some reason he isn't in a joking mood right now, so other Michael it is.

Nightmare BB is back, and oh my god there has been months of foreshadowing for this one animatronic all the way since BB's Bounce Palace, and I just... you know, want that to be known. Not to mention the Minireena that got killed, that was... Sad. But a great way to introduce seriousness and tension! So, you know, that's cool to see especially after leaving BB off on such a minor note when he was first introduced. Something something, Chekov's firing squad.

I loved the freaking out over Henry, that was greatly amusing btw. Oh that felt good for how long I had been sitting on that little scene while waiting for everyone to see just what kind of Connection Terminated we were going to get from him. So many head canon and fan interpretations paint him as overly good and moral, and like... No? At least in my opinion, but that can be a whole debate in of itself, and my personal interpretations of canon Henry aren't quite what we're getting here anyways, so it's not super important. Even if that more common view of him made the surprise murder much more entertaining. More to be seen from him soon enough of course, but that was just fun. Anyways, See ya!
