Chapter 2: Interview During Lunch
The next day at school, I'm walking through the hall to the cafeteria it's lunchtime, when a girl with long black hair runs up, she was wearing a light blue t-shirt, white jeans, and yellow sneakers. She quickly asks, "You're Topher, are you not?" I nod, I ask her who she is, she tells me, "I'm the girl who emailed you yesterday." I blink twice and think, "So this is darkqueenmile..", I ask her this, and she says, "Yes, I'm her. I'd love to interview you. I've seen you here in the halls. I hear you competed in Total Drama." I grin, finally a girl who doesn't think I'm lame or a loser.
I grab her arm, pull her in, and thank her, which I notice her blush, I feel a rush of emotion, this girl is really pretty, did I finally find my crush? She looks up into my eyes and says, "Will you please let me go..?" I nod and release her, she then says, "Let's get to the lunchroom and start this interview."
After ten minutes we're sitting across from each other at a table, I smile at her and she pulls out a notebook. She starts off by asking, "Why did you join Total Drama?", I laugh a little, did she not watch the show? I tell her that I joined to give the producers a look at my hosting skills. She then asks, "Why are you interested in being host?", I put a hand on her shoulder, "Chris is a jerk, I'd be a nicer host." She nods, I then remove my hand, and say to her, "Say let's talk about you now."
She smiles, "What would you like to know." I look her deep in the eyes and ask, "First off, did you even see this season of Total Drama?" Her smile becomes a sad face, "No, my folks can't afford a TV." I nod, "Sorry, I didn't know." She leans in and takes my hand while saying, "No need to apologize, most people suspect I own a TV."
I feel a light blush upon my cheek, I lean in and ask, "Why are you holding my hand?", she blushes and releases my hand while apologizing. I think this while she turns away, "I think she likes me."
