Izuku crept through the night, his eye already healing as he walked through the trees. There was one place he knew he could go if he wanted this night to keep going.
Taking a moment to breathe, he leaned on a tree and heard footsteps. Who was chasing him? Most of the students were gone before he could even arrived, and with the bodies, no one would let them inside the building. Maybe a student who heard what happened and wanted vengeance?
No. The steps were too heavy for a student, especially a first year student. They were sending heroes after him. At least one. Maybe more. But Izuku was stealthy. He knew how to hide and give himself the element of surprise.
When a duo, a young woman flying high above the trees, and a middle-aged woman who walked through, a pink gas emitting from her body, Izuku just observed from afar. The one on the ground was scantily clad, just the kind of woman to keep him going until he could be reunited with Ochako.
Izuku observed the gas, watching animals falling asleep as they inhaled it. Sure, he was able to walk off bullets and falls, but knockout gas? The doctor had made sure he was drugged in court hearings. There was no way he could last too long in her gas.
"There you are."
A voice whispered before he was blasted back by sound waves, a blonde with a stupid looking mustache standing there, red eyes like he'd been crying.
"You son of a bitch. Eraserhead was my friend, my..." He sobbed, and Izuku tilted his head, just holding out the knife he'd stolen from the hero.
"You bastard." The blonde growled, his anger overwhelming his grief before shouting, Izuku covering his ears, but it was so loud, and it only served to let the other heroes in the area know where he was.
So retreating into the shadows, he watched for a moment, going to strike before the blonde turned and screamed in Izukus faces, sending him flying back against a tree.
Dammit. How had he known? There must be someone somewhere giving away his position. But who? Where?
Izuku set his sights on figuring that out, retreating back into the shadows as he slowed his breathing. Where could someone see him from here?
Looking around, he spotted a boy on the roof of the main building. He was probably alone, long distance as a fighter.
Walking away from the woods, back to the campus, he avoided cameras, cutting them down when he had the opportunity. Sure, the power was out, but how long until they got it back up?
Into the building, up a set of stairs, all the way to the roof, taking out a blonde with a black lightning bolt who had his back turned to the door, his knife slicing open his neck before Izuku laid him silently to the ground and opened the door, standing in the doorway for a moment.
Watching the boy, he saw extra arms, or perhaps tentacles. How did that help him see so far away? The air? Soundwave? One morphed into an eye, and Izuku knew what he was up against, walking silently up behind him and pushing the knife so far inside the boy that it came out the front of his stomach as Izuku covered his mouth, but his tentacles turned into mouths, all of them screaming in pain, for help that would be too late and Izuku twisted his neck, watching him fall forward, grabbing his knife before the boy fell off the roof.
Up on the roof, he was trapped, but that meant they had to come to him. Plus, the one woman could use her quirk without putting her allies to sleep. But would she risk their sleeping lives?
It didn't matter, Izuku simply walked down as something stuck him in the eye he was still regenerating, leaving Izuku to pull it out and pull it hard, hearing a girl scream in pain as he did. Whatever it was, it was fleshy. Part of her quirk.
Getting blasted by sound waves, he held onto the long line, hearing the girl cry out until the sound waves stopped, and Izuku started pulling the line, leading him to a girl who tried to jab her other long earlobe at him, before it was swiftly cut off, Izuku doing the same to the other ear, leaving him with two long lines with hard ends, whipping her with them, over and over, until another sound wave blasted him off the roof.
"Get her to Recovery Girl!" The man from early yelled, picking up the girl Izuku had been beating, giving her to the girl who'd been flying above the trees earlier.
"Yes, sir!" She called, flying off while the two heroes jumped down after Izuku, who was already back on his feet, the pink gas no problem for the blonde who was wearing a gas mask.
"We got you now, you cowardly piece of shit." The man told him, running forward and using sound waves, Izuku taking a deep breath of air before disappearing behind the trees, using the darkness to put distance between himself and the two heroes.
It wasn't that Izuku couldn't run, but that he wouldn't. Slow and steady, it brought the fear out in all but the bravest people. But Izuku could see the bloodlust and anger in the man's eyes. No amount of dying was worth drawing a little extra fear out of him.
Running at the man from the darkness, he tackled him, wrapping the ear pieces he'd cut off the girl earlier around the man's neck, silencing him while choking him, before getting hit with a whip by the woman who was making the gas, his junpsuit getting ripped down the back.
Izuku turned and watched the whip slice open the blonde man's face, from his eye down to his chin, the mask being slightly skewed as he passed out.
Izuku took his knife and stabbed the man, cutting open his chest open before retreating again into the darkness as she dropped to her knees to apply pressure to the wound.
"No, no, no. Not you, too." She begged softly, crying as Izuku took a deep breath of clean air and snuck up on her, jamming his knife between her shoulder blades, before taking her whip and beating her with both it and the earlobes, flaying her skin to pieces. They'd stopped him from doing the job once, but this time, no heroes were coming. No students would get in his way.
After a moment, he looked at her. She was still alive, but if she survived this, it would be a miracle. Besides, he would hunt her again if she did live.
Turning away, he lumbered away, back to the village outside the school grounds, needing a moment to breathe and rest in the first house he came to, after killing the adults living there, stopping to watch the cartoon on the TV. All Might and his Amazing Friends, his favorite as a child.
Rummaging the kitchen, he found plenty to eat, including the candy of the kids whose parents he'd killed earlier. Halloween really was the best time of the year.
After resting and cleaning the blood off his mask, he grabbed a jumpsuit from the closet, the father evidently a blue-collar man. Or he had been, at least. He'd been strong enough to put up a decent fight before he was turned into art by Izuku.
Walking out of the home, he glanced once more at the young children watching cartoons still. Too young to be his partners. There was no reason to kill someone who couldn't fight back.
Walking out of the house, he checked the signs, looking for the closest hospital. That was most likely where his beloved went, both for mental and physical help. But where was the good doctor? Tamaki was bound to be close. Izuku wanted to keep him chasing so he could see the monster he helped create.
Breaking into a shop, he used the blood of a cat to write one word on the fridges, both to key in the doctor and keep him guessing. Just one simple word, Samhain. It just meant Halloween or the original festival that started so many millennium ago.
Once he was done, he made his way to the hospital, seeing cops all around the building. It seemed like they knew he'd be here. What fools.
The cops stood no chance, Izuku simply picking them off one by one until they were all gone. Simple kills, just slicing their throats or snapping their necks, but originality wasn't his specialty. He had three moves, and they were all pretty good.
First, just like the school, he cut the power, simply breaking the switch once he did, the backup power coming on, but the hospital was working with minimal power. They had their security cameras down, and Izuku wouldn't have any trouble finishing the job. Ochako was here. The same primale feeling in his stomach was telling him so.
Unfortunately for an emt and a nurse, they were having a little Halloween treat, making love in a therapy pool, Izuku simply turning the heat up and boiling them alive, his hands a little red as he pulled them out of the water.
"Wait! They don't love you like I love you!" A man, with hair, obviously died green, and an All Might mask the same as he wore all those years ago, told him, pulling the mask off his face.
"You're Izuku Midoriya. You killed your babysister when you were six years old. I studied your case. You didn't need locked up. You needed help they didn't give you." He told Izuku, watching as Izuku put his knife in his pocket, walking up to the man.
What an odd guy. He seemed nice. He understood Izuku, it seemed. Then, he would enjoy being one of his partners, yes?
Izuku picked the man up by the throat, squeezing, the man fighting back, gripping at his mask but all Izuku heard were snaps and gurgles, and finally, a loud crackling sound, the man going limp, before Izuku dropped him, leaving him paralyzed, but not dead.
Walking away, his heavy breathing was the only thing in the darkness, Izuku following the little voice in his head, walking to where his lover was headed.
Moving down the hall, Izuku could see her, the one person deep down. He knew he wanted more than anyone else in the world. She was his now.
Izuku moved in the darkness, cutting her off and watching as horror grew in her eyes.
"No! No!" She cried, Izuku reaching out to touch her, before a gunshot rang out, temporarily putting him down as he fell back.
"I'm sorry, Izuku, I failed you." Doctor Tamaki spoke, moving closer, Izuku breathing so shallow it was like he wasn't even breathing, while the Doctor and Ochako made their way down the hall away from Izuku.
After a moment, Izuku rose, moving through the empty hospital and catching up, throwing the doctor down a flight of stairs and looking at Ochako, who ran away from Izuku, leading him to chase her slowly through the halls.
Izuku cornered her in a room full of gas canisters before a scalpel was driven into his forehead by the hero in training, blinding him with blood as the lumbering killer swiped where he thought Ochako was, before a hissing sound came from the left, and he swiped towards it.
Hissing from the right, then behind, the room filling with the sounds of hissing before Izuku understood, grabbing forward and feeling someone, before an explosion erupted, Izuku burning for a moment before pulling out the scalpel and walking slowly out of the room, before falling to the floor, hitting his face before the world went dark.
