"Let me get this straight." Dean watches as his sister paces the length of the living room, counting their story back to them. "The angels kidnapped you so you couldn't stop Sam from killing Lilith. Castiel," She practically spits the name. "helps you escape. You find Sam who has relapsed in his demon blood addiction," Lea glances at where Sam sits in the recliner opposite Dean's, frowning, "which we will definitely be coming back to in a bit. But, anyway, Sam kills Lilith and accidentally lets the devil loose on the world. Then Bobby meets you at a hotel halfway home without Adam. Bobby ends up being possessed and attacks you," she points at Dean, "before overtaking the demon and stabbing himself. You get Bobby to a hospital before going to find John's storage locker where you're both then attacked by angels. They tell you that you're supposed to let some famous angel named Michael play dress up with your body so he can kill his brother or whatever. Then Castiel, who you thought was dead, shows up and smites the angels, carves your bones, and disappears again. Finally, you come home to find Adam tied up in the panic room. He tells you that Harry and I were taken so you send your angel to find us. Did I get all that right?"

Dean casts a glance over to Sam, who is staring resolutely at the carpet. A look to his left shows Harry and Adam sprawled on either end of the couch, looking at him with the same expectant expression Lea is. He sighs, shaking his head. "Yeah, you got it right."

Lea continues her paces for several silent moments before stopping mid step and nodding to herself. She turns to look at each brother in turn. "Well, let's get going, then."

Harry and Adam stand without hesitation, though both have expressions of confusion on their faces. Sam looks up at her in question. "Going?"

"To see Bobby? You said he was possessed and stabbed himself, that the doctors are saying he might not walk again?" Sam gives a hesitant nod, looking at Dean as if he'll have an idea of where the conversation is going. "Well, I'm pretty sure Dunblebitch has mine and Harry's wands, but now that we're out of his wards I can feel my magic again. So, we're going to go see Bobby and I'm going to pump him full of magic until his legs work."

"Wait a second-"

"Hold on a damn minute-

"Can you even do that-"

"Azalea you're gonna drain yourself-"

Dean groans as their sister ignores all of their protests, turning on her heel and heading for the front door instead.

"You all can either come with me or I'll learn how to drive Dean's car by myself in the next ten minutes." She doesn't bother to look back at them as she holds up and jangles the keys that Dean could have sworn were in his pocket.

"How the hell did you get those?" Dean jumps to his feet, stomping across the living room and following her out of the house.

"Pickpocketed you while you were getting a beer." Lea tosses him the keys as she slides into the passenger seat.

"Why does she get shotgun?" Dean rolls his eyes at Adam's muttering as his brothers pile out of the house.

"I was locked in a cupboard." Lea raises a brow in challenge from her still open car door.

"I was locked in the panic room!" Even as he argues, Adam has a slight smile to his lips. Dean can admit that hearing his sister speak casually to them feels nice. The day before, after she had woken up from sleeping for a solid twelve hours, Lea had been rather skittish around all of them. It was nice to see the kid have her personality back.

"I'm sorry, are you scared of panic rooms?" Lea rolls her eyes.

Harry, Adam, and Sam crowd into the backseat as Dean slides in behind the wheel, cranking the car. Baby starts up with a purr.

"I might be now."

Lea snorts, leaning back and propping her feet up on the dash. "Talk to me after living in it for a decade, then."

"Get your grimy sneakers off of Baby." Dean grumbles as he fiddles with the radio. Lea huffs but does as he says, rolling down her window. Once the first notes of 'T.N.T.' by AC/DC begins playing, Dean puts the car into drive. Dust flies behind them as they leave the junkyard.

"Bobby might not want you guys to see him right now." Sam tells the kids as they walk through the white halal of the hospital. Dean honestly agrees, but he's not gonna be the one to stop their sister on a mission.

"I've been in the hospital wing at school loads of times, it's not that big of a deal." Harry waves his hand, eyes roaming over their surroundings as if he's never seen anything close to the medical devices and hospital rooms before.

"That's a little different, Harry." Adam shakes his head. Still, none of them slow in their pace.

"I'll go in first." Dean stops them all as they reach the room. "Let Bobby know what's going on."

"We're not wasting anymore time, Dean." Lea shoves past him, opening the door to the room so hard that it bangs on the way. "Bobby!"

Dean scrubs a hand over his face before following the headstrong brat. Lea stands at the end of the bed, chatting away. Bobby lies there, not acknowledging them in the slightest as he stares out the window.

"Lea." Harry's voice is low as he steps forward. "Maybe you should just go ahead and do something and we'll talk to Bobby after."

The redhead blinks before nodding curtly. Dean gestures for Sam to shut the door as he leans on the wall across from the bed. Adam takes up the chair beside Bobby, watching the twins in interest.

"Right. Okay." Lea pulls something out of her hoodie pocket. "Sirius Black."

Dean rolls his eyes at the sight of the magic mirror. What could the twins' crazy godfather do to help right now? The surface of the mirror shimmers before a ginger headed boy appears.

"Lea!" The boy almost hisses her name. Harry steps closer to their sister, looking at the mirror over her shoulder. "Harry!"

"Hey Ron. Is 'Mione around?"

Ron stares at them for a second before nodding. "Sure, let me go grab her."

It looks as if the boy laid his mirror down, leaving them looking at a ceiling. Lea hands the mirror over to Harry as she takes Bobby's medical chart from the end of his bed, reading it over. Dean starts to step forward to stop her, but then thinks about how not walking ever again might be more painful for Bobby than stabbing himself. He leaves her be. A few minutes later, a dark skinned girl appears in the mirror.

"Azalea?"

Lea snatches the mirror back. "Hermione, I need you to get some healing books from Sirius' library. My brothers' godfather was stabbed and the muggle doctors are saying he might not be able to walk anymore. I figure you might have a spell that's better than me just trying to wandlessly transfer magic into him."

"Azalea, where are you? Dumbledore came for an Order meeting a few days ago and said you and Harry were back with your relatives. I told you that he was planning how to get you back in England-"

"'Mione, love, I need you to focus. Harry and I are fine, we escaped from the Dursleys and we're back in America. Now, healing books please?"

The two girls seem to have a staring contest before Hermione sighs and shakes her head. "Fine. Let me go grab a few books from my trunk. I had taken some from the Black Library for the school year. I'm fairly sure at least three of them are books on healing."

Before Lea can respond, the girl disappears, leaving the mirror to show the ceiling once more.

"What did she mean that she told you Gandalf was planning to take you?" Both of the twins cringe at his question, avoiding his gaze. Dean takes a deep breath, trying to not let anger seep into him.

"You see-"

"Well-"

The twins cut each other off and share a look. Harry huffs and turns to Dean. "Do you remember when Sam was detoxing in the panic room and we were all doing shots in the kitchen?"

"I'm sorry, what?" Sammy exclaims from where he's leaning against the closed door. Dean nods, trying not to think of his little brother's screaming that they had endured during the detox.

"Well, Ron and Hermione called us and said they had to tell us something urgent." Harry glances at his twin. "And then Lea and I left to go upstairs and talk to them for a bit."

"So, your friends tell you that someone's planning to kidnap you and you don't think to tell nobody?" Dean grinds the words out through gritted teeth, desperately trying to keep ahold of his temper while they're still in the hospital.

"We kind of had bigger problems at the time…" Harry winces, trailing off as he seems to intentionally not look at Sam.

"Besides, we truly didn't think Dumbledore would be able to find us. Why would he think to look for us with some random muggles in America? He didn't know about Mum and John."

"Okay, Lea. I think I have the spell."

The twins' friend speaks from the mirror once more, causing them both to turn their attention back to her. Dean stews in his thoughts as the kids speak, clenching and unclenching his jaw. He just barely keeps enough focus to notice Lea moving around the bed to place her hands on Bobby's side and begin to chant. Harry stands off to the side, holding up the mirror so the other girl can watch.

Dean has seen the twins do magic before. Hell, he watched Lea seal Adam's stab wound back together once. But this seems different, more primal somehow. Lea's eyes glow, but not the emerald green that he has come to expect. Her eyes and the spot where her hands touch Bobby both emit a silver glow. The lights in the room seem to dim, leaving the silvery light coming from the young witch to fill the darkness. The spell goes on longer than he would expect, until the silver glow brightens so much that he has to shut his eyes. He hears a thud and then the silver light fades and the fluorescent bulbs brighten once more.

"I fucking told her so. She would have drained herself even if she had a wand. Dumbarse just had to attempt wandless magic."

Dean opens his eyes to see Harry kneeling on the ground beside Lea, who seems to have passed out. Damn, he really hopes that the kid isn't planning to make the fainting thing a habit.

"Harry? What's going on?"

"Mate? Harry? Lea?"

Hermione and Ron's voices sound from the mirror, which sits on the ground beside the twins.

"She just over did it. Like when she tried to get me to teach her the patronus charm."

"Oh, thank Merlin. I thought the spell backfired on her."

Seeing that Harry seems to have that situation under control, Dean moves around the bed to get to Bobby, who is slowly sitting up with a confused expression.

"What did you idjits do?"

"You tell us, Bobby. How're you feeling?" Dean resists the urge to help the older man sit up in the bed.

"A damn shot better than I was." Bobby glances over at where Lea lays, frowning. "What did you let her do?"

Harry snorts from where he had just hung up his magic mirror. "You don't let Lea do anything."

"She tried to use her magic to heal you." Sam speaks up.

"So, think you can run a marathon?" Dean jokes, hoping that maybe he's actually going to get some good news for a change.

Bobby shifts on the bed, considering. "I don't know about that, but the girl sure knows how to take pain away."

"Yeah, yeah. She's as good as a fifth of whisky." Adam chokes on a laugh at Dean's words. "But can you or can you not fill your legs, old man?"

Bobby goes quiet, staring at his aforementioned legs with a thoughtful expression. After several seconds, his right foot twitches. Dean whoops, almost feeling like he could actually jump for joy.

"Well, I don't know if I can run a marathon, but she's definitely done something." Bobby seems to be struggling not to smile.

"I'm going to grab a candy bar and a coffee for Lea. See if you can get her to come around, Harry." Sam straightens, opening the door. Dean sees a ghost of a smile on his face as he leaves, the closest he's seen to something other than sorrow and remorse on his brother's face in days.

"Should have brought some beer to celebrate with." Dean sighs, shaking his head with his own relieved smile.

"I don't think they would have let you bring that in the hospital, Dean." Adam grins from his seat.

Dean shrugs. Who the hell cares if they would or wouldn't? Who the hell cares about anything at the moment? Dean has his kids back. He has his Bobby back. If they keep the rare streak of luck up, then maybe they actually will stand some sort of chance against the devil.

If they can keep working with each other's strengths, maybe he'll be able to keep his family alive and whole.

-

September 1st.

Usually, Harry would be getting to Hogwarts and preparing for the opening feast about now. Instead, he's eating hamburgers Dean grilled for lunch with his brothers, sister, and Bobby. He never thought that he would actually be happy about not returning to Hogwarts.

Looking around the kitchen table, though, seeing Dean laughing at something Adam said as Lea rolls her eyes and nudges Sam with a grin, Bobby watching them all while trying to seem disapproving but secretly smiling, Harry thinks that this is definitely worth the trade. They might be gearing up for an apocalypse, but at least they're all together.

A hard knock sounds from the front door. The hairs on the back of Harry's neck stand on end. Of fucking course something would happen to disturb what would be a happy day. The chatter dies down, all of them looking at one another. Dean sets his burger aside, getting to his feet.

"I'll get it." Harry watches him pull a gun from his waistband as he leaves the kitchen. Sam looks between them before following in a similar manner.

"You know, I'm going to track down the American magical society and hire a master warder for this place." Lea scowls, shoving her plate aside.

Bobby wheels his chair back from the table, still recovering his injury and having to undergo physical therapy. "You kids go out the back."

Harry is moving before Bobby even finishes his sentence, snagging Lea's elbow. Adam moves in the opposite direction, as if he plans to block the path between the front door and the rest of the house. Lea seems prepared to physically jump out of the house when they sling the backdoor open, only to stop short.

The anger Harry had felt at their relatives for their treatment of Lea seems like nothing in comparison to the fury he feels at the sight of Severus fucking Snape step into Bobby's house. Lea places herself between Snape and Harry, back up and forcing Harry to as well. Harry bares his teeth at the potions professor, hoping his rage is palpable.

"It seems," Snape drawls in his droll voice, staring down his nose at them, "that you two missed the train."

"Adam, get my gun." Bobby practically growls from behind them. "Count Chocula is back."

Snape sneers at Bobby before turning back to the twins with an expression of distaste. "I believe it's time for you brats to collect your things."

"I think it's time for you to fuck off back to Magic Town." Harry glances over his shoulder, seeing Dean pointing his pistol at the former Death Eater.

"I ask that you please lower your weapons so that we may speak about Mr. and Miss Potter's futures, Misters Winchester." Dumbledore stands not far behind Dean, held at gunpoint by Sam. Damn, Harry loves his brothers more than he ever has at this moment.

"Our future is with our family." Lea snaps.

Dumbledore turns his twinkling blue eyes on Harry's sister. "You and Harry are wixen, my girl. You belong in the Wizarding World. You belong at Hogwarts."

Harry scoffs. "So that's why we're forced to live with our muggle relatives? Pick a narrative, Headmaster."

"Show some respect, Potter." Snape snarls, raising his wand. Harry clearly hears the cocking of his oldest brother's gun.

"Don't even try it, you vampire wannabe."

"Perhaps, we can all sit down and have a civil conversation. Have some tea?" Harry shares a look with Lea at Dumbledore's words. Has the old man lost the few marbles he had left?

"There's nothing to talk about. Harry and I are staying with our brothers." Lea straightens, lifting her chin with a defiant expression. Dumbledore gives her a smile that seems more mocking than anything.

"Azalea, you must know how dangerous an untrained wizard can be to themselves and those around him. I really must insist that you and Harry finish your education before you go off into the world by yourselves. Your parents would want you to have a proper education."

"We wouldn't know that, would we. Them being murdered and all."

Harry reaches back to squeeze his sister's hand, feeling the static of her magic filling the air. "Our parents would want us to be safe and happy, Headmaster."

"There is no safer place for you both than at Hogwarts."

"Bullshit." Adam scoffs.

"Harry and Lea seem to have been placed in more grave danger within your school than outside of it." Sam speaks up from where he is still holding his gun to the wizened wizard.

"I will admit, there have been some instances… over the years. But with the return of the Dark Lord, I really must insist that the twins return to Hogwarts. They will be safe within its walls."

Dean and Sam share a look. Harry shares his own look with Lea. There is some truth in Dumbledore's words. Harry can see that even his sister understands the threat by the look of fear in her eyes.

"If we were able to track your siblings here, eventually the Dark Lord will be able to as well." Dumbledore speaks directly to Dean now. "At Hogwarts, they will be safe."

Harry watches the internal conflict their brother seems to go through before he turns his gaze on them. "How true is what he's saying?"

Lea hesitates, though Harry knows she knows the answer. Suddenly, his twin seems to find some resolve as she looks between their three brothers and Bobby before looking at him for a long moment. "Dumbledore is right. Unfortunately."

" Headmaster Dumbledore, you insolent girl."

"Can it, Dracula!" Dean glares at Snape before looking intently at Lea. "What do you want to do?"

Lea stares at Dean, then Sam, then Adam. Finally she stares at Harry. He somehow knows exactly what she must be thinking. The Dark Lord might find them, yes, but he would also then find their brothers. Their brothers who don't have the magic to fight him. Harry watches the fight leave his sister, her shoulders slumping in defeat. He squeezes her hand again.

"We'll go to Hogwarts." Harry's voice is quiet, resigned.

"The right choice, my boy." Dumbledore's voice seems overjoyed, making Harry's stomach twist with the vestiges of his anger.

"You can wait on the porch while we talk, then." Dean glares at Dumbledore and then Snape. "They'll need to pack, too."

"Of course, of course. Though, I must urge you to be quick so that we may make it in time for the Welcoming Feast." The headmaster smiles at them, eyes twinkling bright once more before turning and exiting the house the way he entered. Snape sneers at them all before following.

Dean waits on the door to shut before speaking to them. "Cas might know how to stop the Dark Whatever from finding you. Like he did the angel sigils."

Lea shakes her head, scowling at the carpet. "No. We have to go."

Dean mirrors her scowl. "There's got to be something else-"

"There's not." Lea snaps, head still down as she blinks rapidly. "I'll go pack our shit."

Harry watches her storm up the stairs but doesn't follow. Lea is going to cry and she'll want to cry alone.

"Even if you have to go back to school, that doesn't mean they can make you go back to your aunt and uncle." Sam steps forward as he speaks to Harry, tucking his gun back in the waistband of his jeans. "I'm your legal guardian. We'll fight it out in the courts if we have to."

Harry smiles wryly. He's pretty sure that Dumbledore would find some way around that. "Yeah. We'll be back for the summer holidays."

"You'll be back for Christmas." Bobby says gruffly from his wheelchair.

Adam nods in agreement, stepping up beside Harry and squeezing his shoulder. "Yeah, even if we have to sedate Dean for a plane ride to England to come and get you ourselves."

Harry can't help but laugh at the face Dean pulls. He finally nods. "We'll be back for Christmas."

They pause their conversation at the repetitive thumping on the stairs, followed by Lea's reappearance with both of their trunks. Everyone polite ignores the puffiness around her eyes.

"Let's go." Lea's tone is short, avoiding looking at everyone except for Harry. He moves to take his trunk from her.

"Not so fast, brats." Dean throws an arm around Harry's shoulders, squeezing slightly and ruffling his hair. Harry smiles even as he grumbles, attempting to fix his lost cause of a head of hair. Dean is replaced by Sam who gives him a quick hug and pat on the back. Adam gives him a tight hug as well. Bobby reaches up from the wheelchair and squeezes his shoulder.

The twins linger in front of the door as they look back at their family. Dean cocks his head to the side, raising his brows. "Christmas." He says the word as an order.

"Christmas." Lea practically whispers as Harry nods. She opens the door and almost throws herself out. Harry closes it behind them, looking at the wizards before them in caution. Lea glares. "We want our wands before we go anywhere with you."

"Of course, Azalea." Dumbledore reaches into his periwinkle robes, quickly producing Harry's holly and phoenix feather wand and Lea's holly and dragon heartstring one. Lea snatches them both from him, quick to give Harry his. "Now, shall we?"

Harry sighs and nods, clutching his trunk in one hand and wand in the other. The headmaster lays his hand on his shoulder. A sharp pull behind his navel is the only warning Harry gets before the world spins away and he loses sight of Singer Auto Salvage Yard.
