Steve's bestie took off a while ago, so Tony just missed him. Aww.
Just kidding. Tony was pretty passive about it.
He gave Steve an update on Vision's condition straight away, then they both started unpacking what the baby Jackal did to his file on the Ten Rings.
Tony and Steve were nosy as fuck, okay?
It was kind of fun for them too, or whatever….

"Bucky.. uhh, I mean James told me something odd about Donna. She wants to rush their marriage, and.."

Hmmm… Steve Rogers had to ponder the other details that Bucky Barnes unexpectedly shared with him while Tony was gone.
The details were super minimal, so Steve wasn't sure what to add.
Tony turned his head a bit when he heard Steve's adorable update.
Donna Strange actually wanted to rush herself into a marriage with Bucky fucking Barnes? LOL.
Steve could sense that Tony was inwardly laughing at the thought, so he gave him a look and gently nudged his shoulder.
They were sitting beside one another, getting all cozy on their bed… and being lazy.

"This is serious Tony. He thinks Donna is afraid of the Scarlet Witch, or maybe she's messing with her and Donna isn't telling anyone."

OH. Well, the wicked witch from Doom's town was definitely messing with Donna Strange, and then some.
Tony didn't know the facts, but what he heard made enough sense to form a solid theory.
Everyone was hyper-focused on giving Sofia Strange a sense of security, and a distraction through all the shit that was happening with her parents.
Tony immediately suspected that's the reason why Donna was keeping her mouth shut, so…

"We have to assume the worst at all times, Steve. Donna Strange isn't supposed to be alive, and neither is Victor AND both of Stephen's parents. Plus, the Scarlet Witch is hellbent on bringing her fake children back from the dead. Her current boyfriend is just as psycho as she is, and he's got mommy issues like you wouldn't believe."

Of course Tony did a deep dive on the ENTIRE SITUATION hours ago, and of course he was doing everything he possibly could to stay a million steps ahead of everyone.
That took a lot of work, and a lot of focus away from the wonderful person who was sitting toward his left.
Tony looked at Steve, and his crispy clean clothes. He looked too fucking adorable, and yummy…

Steve had to give a gentle laugh, but then his mood became a little serious..
The tone took a shift because Tony's language was… super attractive.
SO, Victor Von Doom had mommy issues.. and his "girlfriend" might have had a grudge against Stephen Strange?
That made a ton of sense to Steve, so the blonde started looking to Tony for something more…

"We might have bigger problems too, regarding Ezekiel Stane and his clever little plans to uproot Wenwu."

Good fucking luck on that one, kid.
Tony did some digging on all that stuff too, and he reached a preliminary conclusion on the "mission" before he set foot back in Brooklyn.
Steve Rogers was all ears, but yes… his eyes were also wandering around Tony as he spoke.
The blonde had always been fascinated with him, in case you haven't noticed, and his feelings for Tony only strengthened when he went off on some nerd rant…

"The prince of darkness told me that Wenwu saw him, when he started looking into his location… I gave it a try and it felt like he saw me too. It was fucking weird, dude… Wenwu looked straight into my soul."

Tony figured it was impossible for the leader of the Ten Rings to peer straight into something that was beyond the levels of even being microscopic.
Tony's nano-tech barely even held a measurement… and Ezekiel's technology was even smaller.
The Jackal's tech was the size of germs… so how the fuck did Wenwu look into it?
It really creeped Tony out to the max, so of course he shared the info with Steve.
The blonde wasn't sure how to take that information, I mean?
What does it mean to be "looked at" by the incognito ruler of the Ten Rings? The notion was baffling Steve just a little bit…
He understood that Ezekiel and Tony underwent the same thing… so those two were "paralleling" one another once again?

"I'm sure the two of you can handle the situation better… if you worked on it, together?"

That thought amused Steve immediately, so he gave Tony a charmed smile after he spoke.
They even hung out together that day, and they clearly held a conversation… like friends?
Get outta town.
A hefty eye-roll was definitely expected out of Tony, and Steve laughed when he saw a salty look suddenly cross over his face.
Oh he rolled his eyes, for sure, then the brunette carried on with his update.
Steve Rogers listened to it, with interest, even though his mind was in the gutter…
