It's time for another earlier one-shot; well, more of a pre-relationship one.

The legalities: I do not own any of the Expendables franchise (characters, places, and objects especially) and this is mostly au.Rated M just to be on the safe side.

Also, please don't be afraid to write reviews. I would love to hear from you all!

Hope you enjoy!

Prompt: "Okay, what did I do?"

"What do you mean?"

"You look like you want to rip my head off."

"Sorry, that's just how my face works."

"Woman, what are you doing?"

Jacoba opened her eyes from where she was sitting in the Lotus Pose on the side of the gym that the Expendables had in their airplane hanger. Looking up, she saw Gunnar looking down at her with his arms crossed and eyebrows raised. She rolled her eyes at him. "I'm meditating, you idiot. Or at least, I was until you interrupted me."

This caused the Viking to roll his own eyes. "Well, I just thought that you were supposed to be watching the team train. You know, since you aren't allowed to yet."

Jacoba scoffed as she leaned back slightly. "You mean, because the last time that I joined in, Toll got a bit too into it and tossed me down into the mats a little too hard?" She smirked as she saw Gunnar trying to not smile himself at the memory. "Yeah, no, my ribs are mostly healed and my wrist," she lifted her left wrist, which was still wrapped up in an ACE bandage, and waved it at him, "is finally out of the cast. So, Barney told me that I could watch the others train if I wanted to. I just decided that I should meditate so that I don't do something that I may regret later."

The woman then turned her head back towards the Expendables who were training, dropping her smirk as she did so. She stayed like this as Gunnar sat down next to her. In fact, Jacoba had actually started to sort of meditate again (this time with her eyes open) when she heard Toll speak up. "Okay, what did I do?"

As Jacoba began to come out of her meditation, she heard Gunnar speak up next to her. "What do you mean, Toll?"

"Jacoba looks like she wants to rip my head off."

She scoffed as she focused her eyes on the man in question. "Sorry, that's just how my face works. Besides, would you blame me if I did come after your head?"

"Woman, how many times do I have to apologize?"

"Take it up with the person who's supposed to be training me in self defense and combat. One toss into the mat and you set me back a few weeks in my progress, at the very least. If I were you, I'd be more worried about how Christmas will get back at you instead of apologizing to me."

As the room erupted into laughter, Jacoba sat straight once again and closed her eyes. Taking a deep breath, she began to tune out the chaos around her and meditate once more. Someone needed to get some peace around here.
