[LOG FILE 039: TORVUS BOG, AETHER]
The passageway I chose to take was blocked by a green blast shield. Thankfully a quick scan revealed a weakness to my new Super Missile, which made quick work of the obstruction. I passed through the door to find an elevator, along with two more deceased Luminoth. Scanning the corpses showed that both had died from exposure to an unknown chemical, which concerned me to say the least.
I activated the elevator and descended further. The next chamber was quite spacious, or would have been were it not half-flooded. There were some Preeds floating around in the air above the water, but I wasn't concerned about those. What really caught my attention was the creature swimming around in the water beneath the grated ledge I was standing on.
My scan visor revealed this creature to be a Blogg, which had a strong bite and an extremely durable outer-shell to protect it. Luckily it had a weakness- its inner mouth. Unfortunately, that meant I would need to get up close and personal with the beast to take it out.
I jumped into the murky water. Without the Gravity Suit I had back on Tallon IV, both the visibility and movement of my Dark Suit were reduced significantly. Hopefully I could find an alternative, or this planet would be the death of me.
I was snapped out of my thoughts by the roar of the Blogg. It had finally noticed me and started to charge, its maw wide open. I fired a missile before it managed to get too close and hit its weak point, causing it to explode into pieces. But I wasn't quite safe, as my radar showed that the Blogg had a friend. The other Blogg that rushed me met the same fate as the first one, after which there were no further contacts in the chamber.
During the course of the fight I had ended up at the bottom of the chamber, still submerged and with no reachable doorways. I did notice a kinetic orb cannon, so I switched into my Morph Ball and got fired up above the water line in the chamber. It would appear that the current chamber was a dead end until I acquired more gear, so I decided to exit the way I entered and headed back to the Torvus Temple…
