I did end up having to go home though it was late and I hadn't eaten much all day so Klea and I headed back to my house. We were going to look at a place tomorrow, it had 5 bedrooms and it would be perfect for all of us. Aria's dad said he would help my mom pay for it, and I was glad because my mom has done enough for me throughout my life. I knew Klea wouldn't be able too, but I didn't care, my parents loved her. I think we also decided that Riley and Jared would be moving in too at some point. Klea and I were going to decide on the house, I was excited to see this house it looked promising. The only thing that made me nervous was how Titan was going to feel being away from Elsie, she followed him everywhere. I think Elsie had police dog in her and she was actually quite smart. I know that Lynne would not like to give me her dog though, but I wasn't going to be far and they would be able to visit each other. I still wanted to be in my sisters lives they were just a few years older than Zach and I didn't need him corrupting them they were innocent. Leila worried me the most but I knew her twin would keep her in line.
Another morning and Titan was licking me awake, "I am up bud" I said giving him a pet, I was never going to get used to getting up early and going to work. Normally it was school but this was different, I dressed and made my way downstairs, my family jumped out and surprised me "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" they all cheered. Did I seriously forget it was my birthday? I mean I was not that out of it was I? "Thanks" I said as they all hugged me, how did I not know it was my 19th birthday? I was so focused on getting Zachary that I forgot my own damn birthday. Oh well I was going to keep that to myself, as my mom made me breakfast, and my sisters gave me presents they bought me. It was all really nice and I was trying not show them that I was a complete idiot. After a good morning Klea and I headed out to meet our realtor and look at the house. I wanted this one to be it I was tired of looking and we did need our own space. My parents house was full and my sisters did still drive me nuts so I did want to get out and find our own space.
Klea and I drove to the house and it as nice on the outside, it had a nice yard and it even had a pool in the back. We walked around checked out everything, the kitchen was nice, the bedrooms all had their own bathroom, it was a beautiful house. "I like it" Klea said, "me too, and if it comes furnished that would be good" I said, "it probably won't but don't you know a designer?" Klea asked, "yeah Sophie's mom Ella, I guess we could hire her I know she would do a good job. We put in an offer on the house but there were multiple offers so who knows if we would get it. We headed to the station afterwards I was going to try and get more information on Zachary and his connections. I know one thing for sure he was going to be on my radar for years, this child was going to forever haunt me. with my birthday coming and going I was focused so much on catching him in some sort of thing. I wanted to at least put him in juvie or wherever they take kids, I even thought of having my aunt Cassie evaluate him because I had no doubt he was a psychopath. Just looking at him I could tell he had no remorse and his dad and step mom both in jail. Plus he never knew his mom who is now in his life again and she is a lesbian. Plus he has a little sister who know what is going on with her, but like I just needed something. "Max we have a case" Klea said, and I sighed putting my information down. No matter how much I stared at it I was not going get any more and nothing new was jumping out at me, we headed to the crime scene. I had a feeling this was bad just from the look on everyone's faces. I wanted this to be Zachary but he was in school, I did still have someone tailing him. There ended up being a mass casualty situation but it didn't look like murder but I guess that was what we were here to figure out. I saw my dad and Jax and we headed over there, "hey dad" I said, "hey bud sorry I need your help with this one" he said. "It is fine what are we looking at?" I asked. "Everyone in this building is dead, there is no signs of struggle, and it just is puzzling. We have over a dozen bodies here and no explanation. We have something weird on our plates here" Chase said. I nodded as I let Titan go search he was with Jax and Klea and I tried too figure things out as well. This was all weird, did the air kill them? Were they poisoned? Something was going on behind the scenes that we couldn't see. Did the person who did this kill them and themselves? Were they in this building too?
This case ended up taking the rest of our day and we were getting no where we tested everything. We saw no signs of why over a dozen people would just drop dead. It made no sense, even our dogs were stumped. We had Adam and Ian checking the air quality but I didn't think that was it or we would have smelled something. I just felt like this all made no sense. I wondered if it was possible to be scared to death. Like did something scare them so bad that they all must dropped dead? No that was absurd we were going to need to wait for the autopsy to be done. It would most likely take a few days but I was hoping it would be sooner. This case was going to take some great detective skill but between the three of us I think we can figure it out!
