A/N: Anyone ever think it was weird how it was shown that every from the garage collapse got checked out by paramedics yet Gabby seemed to walk away without a scratch? This is my version of how things could've gone.

Disclaimer: I do not anything, it is all part of the Chicago franchise

"Gabby?… Matt!" The interaction was still fresh in his mind, he couldn't believe that his wife was in that garage and how close to death she had come. The firefighter knew she had to get checked out by the paramedics but he just couldn't fathom the idea of letting her go ever again.

"Casey… Casey!" The voice of Boden brings him out of his trance. "We need to let the paramedics take a look at her."

"Right, ok." Matt replied. Reluctantly letting go of Gabby. "I'm okay" he hears her reassure him before she walks to the ambulances.

"Dawson, over here." I hear one of the paramedics on 88 call her over.

"Hey, Rafferty. I think I'm ok, I don't have any injuries and honestly I feel pretty ok."

"Alright, I'll still have to ask you a few questions, listen to your lungs and take your blood pressure down but if all checks out you're good to go." She says with a smile.

"Did you lose consciousness at any point ?

"No, well yes but it was only at the beginning when the collapse first happened, but I feel fine. I'm not dizzy or nauseous, I don't have a headache or anything." I say trying to get done with this as soon as possible, wanting to get back to Matt and be in his arms again.

"Okay, your blood pressure is 120/80 and your lungs sound good. You sure feel ok, no pain anywhere?"

"Yes, I'm sure." There was some soreness but I just assumed that it was normal, considering the circumstances.

"Sounds good, everything checks out so you're free to go." I thank her before going off to see where my husband went, it is his big day after all.

Thoughts? This is also my first fic here, I've been reading the works of other writers and finally worked up the courage to write my own so please be nice!
