This is set after the ceremony, and Casey and Dawson got the rest of the shift off. This probably isn't realistic and isn't what actually happened but for the sake of the plot, bear with it.
Thanks, enjoy!

The ride home was quiet, which was unusual. It was usually filled with stories of how our shifts went, our plans for the rest of the day, or what we were gonna have for breakfast or in this case dinner since we got the rest of the shift off. Whatever it was, these car rides were usually filled with lots of chatter. I look over at her and realize she's asleep the day probably having more of a toll on her than she let on.
"Hey babe, we're home." I tell her gently as she stirs and hums a response, clearly still tired. As we walk in, I see her stifle a few yawns. "How about I order some food for dinner so you don't have to cook, you seem really tired."
"Yea ok." I hear her respond.
"I think I'm gonna go lie down for a bit, can you come get me when the food's here?" She then asked, slightly slurring her words together. "Are you sure you're okay? You look really pale." I hear her mutter something about just being tired then making her way to the bedroom.
"Gabby, the food's here!" I called out to her, but after not hearing any movement or response I assumed that I was loud enough to wake her and make my way to the bedroom.
"Gabs, the food, it just got here. We should eat it before it gets cold", still no movement, so walk over to her and shake her a little. "Babe, wake up", the only response I get is her arm falling limply to the side. "Gabby? Come on, wake up." I say but to no avail. No, no this can't be happening. I think as I start panicking, "Gabby!–Baby please, just wake up! Show me those beautiful eyes." I desperately sputter out as I continue to rub her sternum with my fist. "Please…" I can feel the lump starting to form at my throat and try to look around at where she put her phone but it's not anywhere on the nightstand. So I rush out and frantically grab mine, my hands shaking not wanting to type in those three little numbers into the keypad as I go back into the room.
"~Matt?" I let out a huge sigh of relief as I hear her voice, but then tense up again when I see her face twisted up in pain, taking short, shallow breaths and how her voice was no louder than a whisper. I quickly make it to her side but before I could say anything, she whimpers out "It hurts…".
" Where baby? Where does it hurt?" I ask, my voice laced with concern. I watch as she brings her shaking left hand up to her upper left abdomen, a tear leaving her eye. "I'm scared", I grab onto her hand gently squeezing and caressing it as I try to reassure her "I know baby, I know, you'll be ok. I'm–I'm right here. I'm getting help. Just stay with me".
My hand fumbles to input the emergency dial code as I impatiently wait for someone on the other side to pick up, seconds feel like hours.
"911, how may I help you?"
"It's my wife! She I don't know what happened, she went to lay and I think she lost consciousness for a bit because I could wake her up and–"
"Sir? Sir, I'm gonna need you to calm down and let me what happened slowly"
"I'm a firefighter with the CFD, captain Matt Casey and my wife Gabriella Dawson she's 32. She was in that garage collapse today. Initially, she was fine but like 30 minutes ago she went to lie down because she said that she was really tired and she also looked really pale"
"Ok thank you captain, you said she was unconscious? Is she still unconscious?"
"Uhh no, I was able to wake her, but she's struggling to keep her eyes open"
"Alright, what's your address?"
"911 W. 14th Place, Apartment 1C."
"Okay, I have an ambulance enroute, ETA is 5 minutes, in the meantime try to keep her awake."
"Thank you." He says as the line goes dead. The ambo will be here in 5 minutes, all he had to do was wait and focus on Gabby.
