Narrator: Nicktoons Network was a distinguished channel dedicated primarily to animated offerings from Nickelodeon, gracing screens from 2005 to 2009. It showcased a plethora of beloved series, including the iconic SpongeBob SquarePants and the whimsical Fairly OddParents. Yet, it is noteworthy that many of these animated gems do not fall under the true Nicktoons banner. Among them are titles such as Edgar and Ellen, Shuriken School, Skyland, and Those Scurvy Rascals. This narrative unfolds the tale of how authentic Nicktoons can be easily misled by their counterfeit counterparts.
(It shows an eerie purple mountain range with howling/braying noises in the distance. The sounds can be heard not just from the mountains, but all over the world. The next day, Rudy is seen entering the ChalkZone to meet Snap. He visits Snap's house and knocks the door)
Rudy: Snap? Snap, are you in there? Please listen to me!
(He then notices a note taped to the door)
Rudy: a note?
(He grabs the note)
Rudy: it's from Snap! "Dear Rudy Tabootie, the Nicktoons and I are setting off on an adventure to the Dark Mountains to search for a missing Nicktoon. Last night, we heard some strange cries that we think came from that area, so we figured we should go check it out. Let's see if we can discover who that lost Nicktoon is. Good luck to you, my friend and creator!" I better go inform someone about this! But… who?
(Rudy creates a portal to the real world and jumps out from the sidewalk, he then proceeds to go into a telephone booth and dial some numbers. Meanwhile, SpongeBob is watching that sea anemone on his television when his Shell Phone starts to ring. He quickly answers the Shell Phone)
Rudy: (on the phone) hi there. Whoever you are, I got some important news to tell you.
SpongeBob: (on the phone) what's that?
Rudy: (on the phone) well, apparently some of the Nicktoons are looking for the entrance to the Dark Mountains.
SpongeBob: (on the phone) oh yeah, the Dark Mount- the Dark Mountains?! I've heard that a lot of people have gone there and never returned! What makes them want to search for the Dark Mountains in the first place?
Rudy: (on the phone) well, they believe there's a "lost Nicktoon" hanging around, always making strange sounds.
SpongeBob: (on the phone) …a lost Nicktoon?
Rudy: (on the phone) yeah. So they decided to plan a trip there to find ou-
(Suddenly, SpongeBob appears behind Rudy)
SpongeBob: you called for me?
Rudy: AAH!
SpongeBob: oh, sorry. I didn't mean to scare you, young human. I caught wind that you mentioned the "Dark Mountains" and that there's a "Nicktoon" hanging out there.
Rudy: so you must be the person I called.
SpongeBob: that's sea creature to you. And, I'm always here to help.
Rudy: hey, if you're a sea creature, why are you still living on land?
SpongeBob: oh, that's nothing unusual he-
(Suddenly, SpongeBob becomes dried up and dehydrated)
SpongeBob: (weak and coughing) must… breathe… need… water!
(Rudy's jaw drops when he sees this form of SpongeBob. Then, a can of spray mysteriously rolls up to Rudy. He then grabs the can)
Rudy: Jimmy Neutron's neutronic moisture sealant?
(He sprays the spray on SpongeBob and he becomes lively and yellow again)
SpongeBob: much better.
Rudy: so what's your name by the way?
SpongeBob: I'm SpongeBob SquarePants, fry cook of the sea! What's yours?
Rudy: I'm Rudy Tabootie. I spend most of my time in the ChalkZone.
SpongeBob: the ChalkZone? What's that?
Rudy: …y-you'll see. But my drawing Snap lives there, and he's joining a band of Nicktoons to go find this mysterious someone.
SpongeBob: if that's true, we might want to look for your little drawing... and maybe that "Nicktoon" too!
Rudy: that sounds like a crazy… yet great idea! Maybe we should go there to warn Snap and the others about the dangers of those mountains.
SpongeBob: come on, land creature! We gotta save those folks before they freeze to death!
(SpongeBob and Rudy's journey begins! SpongeBob and Rudy leave the city and into the frontiers)
Narrator: In an extraordinary twist of fate, two unexpected champions of the Nicktoons realm—a whimsical sea sponge and a masterful chalk artist—embark on a daring quest towards the enigmatic Dark Mountains, driven by the noble aspiration to rescue the wandering band in search of hope.
(The two come across a sign with two arrows pointing in different directions)
SpongeBob: Light Mountains, Half a mile.
(Rudy and SpongeBob observe the Light Mountains. There, they see a green mountain range with songbirds, a grazing unicorn, and a rainbow)
SpongeBob: Dark Mountains, 20,000 miles?
(Rudy and SpongeBob observe the Dark Mountains. There, they see that distant purple mountain range shrouded in darkness. Rudy pulls an unnerved expression while SpongeBob does the surprised face from the first SpongeBob movie. Rudy snaps out of his unnerved state)
Rudy: SpongeBob, we need to hurry. Those mountains aren't gonna find themselves!
(SpongeBob snaps out of his stunned state and follows Rudy on the road to the Dark Mountains. Meanwhile, the band of Nicktoons are also on their way to the Dark Mountains)
Snap: come on, everyone! We cannot give up! There will never be giving up on this journey!
Zim: Seriously! Why can't I take the lead?! You silly humans, I will be your leader one day!
(The main four from Rocket Power skate past Zim)
Otto: Relax, alien. It's not like you really want to be the leader.
(Zim pulls a disappointed expression at the quartet of skateboarding kids)
Snap: by the way, anyone know where Jenny went?
(Everyone stares at Snap)
Snap: anyone?
(Everyone continues to stare at Snap)
Snap: alright, forget it. Let's continue this search without her.
(They stop staring and continue to walk the trail)
Snap: man, I sure hope we survive over there. I know that place can have all sorts of dangerous stuff, and I really mean anything that could seriously hurt you!
(They all wander off into the sunset. Meanwhile, SpongeBob and Rudy are in the woods at night)
SpongeBob: Rudy…?
Rudy: yes, SpongeBob?
SpongeBob: I have this really uncomfortable feeling, like there's a poison sea urchin crawling down my back.
Rudy: It's likely just a leaf. Now, please turn around so I can take it off you.
(SpongeBob is nervous)
Rudy: turn around.
(SpongeBob turns around, revealing a big, big spider about to make one of his pores its home. Rudy quickly swats the spider away)
Rudy: It was just a leaf. I told you so.
SpongeBob: (unsure) I don't think that was a "leaf"…
(As the unlikely duo traverses the woods, they hear a cougar-like noise)
SpongeBob: AAAAAAH!
Rudy: calm down, it's probably just the wind.
SpongeBob: (unsure) you sure about that…?
Rudy: of course I'm sure. There's nothing to be afraid of as you can see.
(SpongeBob is hiding in his pants in fear)
Rudy: hey, now. Get out of your pants.
(SpongeBob refuses. Rudy rolls his eyes and they continue on. A pair of glowing green eyes stare from the darkness of the woods. The next day, the two are walking in an open area)
Rudy: alright, SpongeBob. You can get out of your pants now.
(SpongeBob's head, which is also his face, pops out of his pants)
SpongeBob: phew! Thank gosh it's daylight again after all that trauma I had.
(Suddenly, a shadow swiftly runs past SpongeBob)
SpongeBob: AAH! Guess I spoke too soon.
(He runs up to cling on Rudy)
Rudy: oh, SpongeBob. Didn't I tell you? There is nothing to be afraid of.
(SpongeBob stops quivering)
SpongeBob: oh, right. Nothing to be afraid of.
(He gets off of Rudy's back)
Spongebob: hey, what are these things doing on the ground?
(He and Rudy look down to see footprints from various Nicktoons)
Rudy: Nicktoon tracks!
SpongeBob: wow, that's a lot of tracks. not even a sponge like me can count!
Rudy: if we follow them, maybe they'll lead us to the Dark Mountains!
SpongeBob: well, come on! We don't have time to waste!
(SpongeBob and Rudy begin to follow the footprints into a canyon. SpongeBob becomes dehydrated again so Rudy sprays Jimmy's neutronic moisture sealant on him, making him lively again)
SpongeBob: thanks for saving my life… again.
Rudy: anytime, SpongeBob. anytime.
(The same shadow is seen on top of the canyon looking down at SpongeBob and Rudy as they continue to follow the tracks, its eyes still glowing green)
SpongeBob: It's good that nobody can track us down while we're looking for the Dark Mountains in this place.
Rudy: yeah.
(SpongeBob and Rudy hear that same cougar-like noise)
Rudy: That sounded like a whole army of tanks!
SpongeBob: I'm pretty sure it's that noise we heard in the woods!
(They hear that roar again)
Rudy: SpongeBob… I don't think that's the wind making that noise…
SpongeBob: then… what could it be…?
(SpongeBob and Rudy look up to see that shadow at the edge of the canyon looking down at them)
SpongeBob: what… IS that thing?
(Suddenly, the shadow drops down and lands in front of them, revealing itself to be El Tigre. El Tigre roars at SpongeBob and Rudy)
SpongeBob and Rudy: AAAAAAH!
El Tigre: what in the Ancient Tiger Spirit's name are you doing in here?!
Rudy: (unsure) um, excuse me, but we're looking for the Dark Mountains, sir.
El Tigre: the Dark… Mountains…?
SpongeBob: (unsure) uh… yes… your hairiness…
(El Tigre roar at them again)
El Tigre: NO ONE GOES TO THE DARK MOUNTAINS!
Rudy: (unsure) but mister… we have to go there. It's our duty!
El Tigre: the Dark Mountains is a harsh place for even a Nicktoon to survive, so I must keep them away at all costs, this I swear!
(El Tigre is about to launch one of his claws at SpongeBob and Rudy)
Rudy: but Snap is on his way there! You have to listen!
El Tigre: Snap? Who's That?
Rudy: he's a drawing I drew when I was little. He joined a band of Nicktoons to find the Dark Mountains!
El Tigre: WHY SHOULD THEY?!
(He gets ready to launch his claws again)
SpongeBob: they said they were looking for an alleged "Nicktoon" up there. They heard its cries over there that night.
El Tigre: there's a "Nicktoon"… already at the Dark Mountains…? hmm… if that's so… then I might as well let you pass.
SpongeBob: whee!
Rudy: by the way, what's YOUR name?
El Tigre: I'm Manny Riviera. But you can call me… EL TIGRE!
(El Tigre roars)
Rudy: wow, chill out, mister.
SpongeBob: El Tigre… I like that name.
El Tigre: thanks!
SpongeBob: you're welcome!
(SpongeBob and Rudy walk past El Tigre)
El Tigre: oh, and one more thing before you go.
SpongeBob and Rudy: what's that?
El Tigre: many threats await you there…
(He roars and runs off)
SpongeBob: many threats await you there? That sound pretty ominous.
Rudy: we better be careful. El Tigre said.
(SpongeBob and Rudy leave the canyon and back into the open area. They then come across Timmy, Danny, and Jimmy)
Timmy: SpongeBob? Is that you?!
SpongeBob: yes it's me! And I brought with me a guest!
(Timmy, Danny, and Jimmy all look at Rudy)
Danny: so, who's THAT guy?
SpongeBob: everyone, meet Rudy Tabootie!
Timmy and Danny: hi Rudy.
Jimmy: Rudy! You're the one who used my neutronic moisture sealant for SpongeBob, right?
Rudy: I guess…
SpongeBob: Rudy and I are heading for the Dark Mountains to find his drawing and possibly a long forgotten Nicktoon.
Timmy and Danny: the Dark Mountains?!
Danny: dude, that place is dangerous!
Timmy: you'll be creamed once you step foot there!
Jimmy: uh, uh, uuh. I think he has a point.
(Jimmy gets out his Nicktoon radar)
Jimmy: on my recently-invented Nicktoon radar, there is a strange blinking orange dot in what appears to be the mountains you mentioned. Whatever it is, it must be that Nicktoon!
(Jimmy puts his radar away)
Jimmy: the problem is, there's an ocean up ahead, and the Dark Mountains are on the other side. We need to find some way across.
Rudy: maybe we'll need to ask someone for help!
SpongeBob: yeah!
Jimmy: alright! Come on you guys!
(SpongeBob, Rudy, Timmy and Danny follow Jimmy as they look for someone to get them across the ocean. Meanwhile, Snap is still on the hunt for the Dark Mountains)
Norbert: come on… what's taking so long?!
Cat: yeah! What's taking so long?! Dog's already tired!
(Dog is sleeping and is being dragged along the ground by a disappointed Cat)
Snap: we get there when we get there, bucko!
Zim: and I still don't get why he didn't choose me as the leader!
(The Rocket Power quartet skate past Zim again)
Otto: what's the matter, shoobie? Too short and green to lead us?
Zim: I'M NOT SHORT YOU RADICAL MORONS!
Snap: guys, let's not get THAT one angry. Who knows what'll happen if you do.
(They continue to walk the trail. Meanwhile at the Dark Mountains, a silhouette can be seen wandering through a practically perpetual snowstorm. The silhouette looks at the areas outside the Dark Mountains and sighs)
