Earlier with Iida and Melissa...

Iida was pretty quiet as Melissa worked on his leg. Hatsume was surprisingly not in the lab when they came in, so they had the room all to themselves. Iida felt a little awkward just sitting there while she worked on his leg. Melissa was concentrating on fixing it with some special tools that he usually uses. He knew that he could fix it himself, but Melissa did say that she wanted to help him. She kept at it as Iida looked around the lab. He noticed how much stuff had been added and made to the lab.

He soon noticed that her desk had a lot of stuff finished already since she's arrived here. He thought he even noticed some things made by Marinette next to her desk. He figured it was hers since something about them seemed more fashionable and had a bit of a design to them that reminded him of her.

"I hope things are going well with your inventions. You seem to have made a lot of them since you got here," Iida said a little nervously.

"Yeah! I have actually," Melissa said back with a smile, "I ended up making some things that some of Class 1-A might like. I even made something for you."

Iida was shocked to hear this as Melissa got up to show him. She pulled out a helmet, but it looked slightly different to his usual one. He could tell that she was proud of this one.

"This helmet is kind of special if you want to try it on," Melissa said to him with a smile.

Iida didn't pass it up and decided to try it on. He took off his usual helmet and put on the one that she had just finished making. Right away, he could tell that it was different. Something about it felt more comfortable and snug. It even turned on as if it had some sort of technology attached to it. He looked through it and noticed that there was something on his lens that was analyzing his surroundings.

"This helmet gives you updates and analyzes your surroundings. It'll let you know if there's a villain nearby or how many are around. I thought that might help you handle villains and hero training better," Melissa explained as she pointed out her invention.

Melissa adjusted the helmet by pressing a button on the side of it. Suddenly, he could see closer to the ground and even noticed how filthy dirty it was in here.

"You can even adjust the lens if you need to look for any clues." Melissa said to him, "I thought maybe having something like that might help with solving some crimes. I know it's probably not what you expected, but I think it might be something to try out."

Iida was blown away with what she threw together without even talking to her about it. She hadn't even really talked to him at all since they got back home from Paris. He took off his helmet, feeling really grateful that she even did this for him.

"I can't believe you made this for me," Iida said back, "This is... amazing. I feel like this is too much."

"Don't worry about it. Just promise me you'll try it out soon," Melissa said to him, "You can even have it right now if you want to. I just finished it anyway."

Iida looked down at it and hesitated to put it on. Then he noticed her smiling and felt a lot more confidence in himself. He put it on, feeling pretty good about it.

"Thank you Melissa. I really appreciate it," Iida said to her, "You've really helped us out a lot. I'm sure Marinette appreciates what you've done for her here."

Melissa felt a slight blush, feeling a little flustered. Iida could tell that she didn't really take a lot of credit for whatever Marinette has been building.

"Oh, it's nothing! Marinette is doing pretty good without me," Melissa said back, "Besides, she's got a lot to take care of right now."

Iida felt like she needed someone to talk to just based on the way she looked at him. Something about it felt like Melissa was dreading that day when they leave Japan.

"Melissa... I can tell that you and Marinette are pretty good friends," Iida said to her, "I'm sure Marinette feels the same way. Even when she and her teammates leave to go back to Japan."

Melissa's eyes widened and looked up at him to see him looking pretty genuine. He had taken off his helmet to talk to her, and she could tell that he worried about her. Something about the way he looked at her made her heart skip a beat. She looked at her desk and tried to clean it up a bit. Iida got up and looked at her to help support her.

"It's okay if you're already missing them," Iida said to her, "I've known them for a while now, and I still can't believe that they're going to be leaving soon. Something about it just feels like they should stay for the whole year. I'll admit, I wasn't a big fan of them at first. After a while, they just grew on me. Something about their teamwork and dedication to their friends just made me admire them even more. Ladybug is a great leader and friend, and I can tell that she's really liking it here in U.A."

Melissa looked at him and could tell that he was sad that they were leaving soon. She didn't want to admit it, but she really didn't want them to leave. Having Iida here felt somewhat comforting, especially after what happened with his older brother and Wolfram. The way he looked at her felt so different compared to Midoriya. Something about it felt more personal, and she liked it. She felt her face warm up a little and looked away, making Iida tilt his head in confusion.

"Thank you Tenya," Melissa said back, "I just... I guess I am a little upset that they're leaving, but... at least I have really good friends here..."

Iida couldn't help but smile at her, being so open with him. Something about her felt genuine as she settled down in the lab. Before he could say anything else, Hatsume came barging in.

"Oh! Melissa and... What's your name again?!" Hatsume said a little too loudly.

"Seriously?! We've met like three times now! You used me as a commercial for your inventions during the Sports Festival!" Iida explained as he swung his arm up and down.

"Oh yeah! You really helped me out there!" Hatsume said a little loud, "Melissa! Has that battery come yet for the portal device?"

"No. You said that you were ordering it," Melissa pointed out a little nervously, "You told me that you had this taken care of."

Hatsume had her mouth open and didn't respond to her right away. Melissa's eyes widened in shock, and Iida could swear that he saw her veins bulging.

"Mei... Please don't tell me you haven't ordered it yet," Melissa said to her.

"Nope! I have not!" Hatsume said back as she got back to fixing it, "Oh well! I'll order it now then!"

"Mei! You can't just order that kind of battery whenever you want! It's only available in certain areas in Japan!" Melissa explained to her, "They might be out of them by now!"

"Don't worry about it. I'll check on it right now," Hatsume said back a little more calmer than Melissa, "If they're out, I'll just look for a different battery."

Iida could tell that Melissa was fed up with Hatsume's behavior and clumsy nature. She was a great inventor, but she did kind of do things her own way without anyone else's permission. Iida looked at the portal device and noticed that they were getting close to finishing. There were still pieces that needed to be touched on and fixed up, but Iida wasn't good at this sort of thing.

"Is something wrong with the portal?" Iida asked Melissa.

"Not really fortunately. Mei just changed things around enough to the point where we need to get a different kind of battery. I thought she ordered it, but I guess not," Melissa explained to him, "We really needed that battery. It might be the only way to get your friends home."

Iida really wished that he could help them, but he didn't know what might help them. He walked over to the portal device to get a closer look at it. He noticed that the battery placement wasn't as big as he thought it would be. Something about it got him wondering if there was any other way to help them.

"Maybe Yaoyorozu or Midoriya could help out," Iida told her, "I'm not very good at stuff like this."

"Hopefully," Melissa said as she let out a sigh, "I just really hope that this doesn't delay them from going home soon."

Iida looked at her and knew that she really wanted to help them out. He knew that they were almost there, they just needed more time to finish it. Iida looked back at the battery placement.

Something about it looked an unusual, like something that wouldn't fit a normal battery.

Meanwhile with Ladybug and her teammates...

Ladybug was shocked to see Jirou dealing with her parents being akumatized. She definitely wasn't expecting to meet anyone's parents like this, although she should've expected it. After all, HawkMoth use to do that all the time. Her teammates were just as shocked as her, and Jirou looked like she didn't want them to fight. The look in her eyes gave Ladybug a chilling feeling.

Rock n' Roll looked at Ladybug and narrowed in on her and her Miraculous. Rock's eyes lit up and inconspicuously aimed her electric guitar right at Ladybug.

"Ladybug! Finally!" Roll said pretty dramatically, "Now we can finally wrap this up! Wait, where's Cat Noir?!"

Ladybug knew that Rock n' Roll were after the Miraculous and could tell that they wanted hers and Cat Noir's. She looked over at Jirou and noticed that she was looking pretty nervous. Something about it made her pull back a bit with her yo-yo. She faced Roll, ready to take care of this quickly.

"He's not here. I came here to help out my friends," Ladybug said to them, "I just didn't expect Kyouka's parents to be akumatized."

Ladybug noticed that Jirou was being held back by Bakugo to keep her away from them. She could tell that this was really bothering her, but Ladybug had to take care of this.

"I don't think anyone did," Kaminari said back under his breath.

Ladybug looked at Rock and noticed that she had a similar quirk to Jirou's. Then she noticed her earphone jack was plugging into an electric guitar. Her eyes widened in shock, but noticed too late. Rock activated her quirk and strum the guitar right at her. She created a big sound wave that vibrated all throughout the ground. It headed right towards Ladybug and hit her pretty hard. The sound wave hurt her ears, but it tripped her up more than anything.

Queen Bee activated venom and flipped over Ladybug to get to Rock. Before she could even get close to her, Roll sang out a high note that headed right towards her. Queen Bee didn't expect something like that to come at her, so she fell to the ground and dropped her spinning top.

Bakugo noticed and ran over to help her out. Rock noticed him, but he was much faster than her. She even spotted Queen Bee's spinning top and grabbed it. Queen Bee's eyes widened once she held it her hand.

"Hmm... I wonder what this does...?" Rock asked as she looked at it.

"That's none of your business!" Queen Bee growled out through gritted teeth, "Give that back!"

Before Jirou or Bakugo could do anything, Queen Bee got hit by her own venom.

"Queen Bee!" Bakugo cried out.

Bakugo raised his explosive fist right at her, but Roll quickly turned his direction towards him. He sang a high note, and Bakugo dodged it by directing his explosive away from him. He almost got hit, but he ended up getting to Queen Bee just in time.

He noticed that she couldn't move. Not even talk to him or look at him. He gritted his teeth as he felt his anger getting to him. He faced Rock and launched towards her.

"I don't care if you're Jirou's parents or not!" Bakugo yelled out, "I will obliterate you!"

Rock aimed her gloves right at him and sent sound waves. Bakugo instinctively covered his ears and reached for his grenade around his belt. Then Jirou's dad came in and sang out a high note right at him before he could make his next move.

Bakugo struggled to keep going and had to keep his ears covered. He felt his knees shake as they kept targeting him. Jirou's eyes widened seeing him going through this. Jirou noticed that Purple Tigress didn't know what to do. She didn't want to hurt Jirou's parents, and they kept going at Bakugo.

Then Kaminari suddenly came up from behind Rock. Jirou didn't even notice him and shocked her.

"Sorry Mrs. Jirou," Kaminari said back to her, "You were hurting my friends."

Roll's eyes widened in shock and directed his quirk right at him.

"How dare you! Stay away from my wife!" Roll cried out.

Kaminari looked a little nervous as Jirou watched him fight against her dad. Something about this bothered her a lot. Bakugo helped her, but something struck a nerve with her when it came to him.

"I'm sorry Mr. Jirou, but your daughter is going through something right now!" Kaminari cried out, "You should be focusing on helping her instead of this!"

Jirou's eyes widened, shocked to hear him say something about her earphone jacks. She instinctively tried to hide it, but knew that they were upset about it. Then it clicked with her.

Kaminari ran right towards Roll, but all he could hear was the pounding in his ears from the singing and sound waves. He kept going, but then he noticed Rock going right for Jirou. His eyes widened, and he hesitated in that moment. A loud singing note came right at him from Roll. He felt his ears pounding even more, and he instinctively covered them.

He turned towards Jirou and spotted her struggling to fight her mom. She tried to put up a fight, but he could tell that she didn't want to.

"Mom! I know why you're doing this!" Jirou cried out as tears formed under her eyes.

That seemed to stop her from fighting her own daughter. Jirou stood there, and she noticed that she was looking at her earphone jack. The one that was missing. She felt a sickening feeling in her stomach, remembering that feeling of losing part of her quirk. She had told her parents about it, but she didn't know that they'd react like this.

They had gotten akumatized because of it.

Tears formed under Rock's eyes, and she reached out to touch her daughter's face. Everyone was a little nervous for her considering she was still akumatized. They got ready just in case Jirou needed them.

"Kyouka..." Rock said through tears, "All we want is to help you. These Miraculous will help you get your quirk back."

Jirou had never thought about that before. Something about it intrigued her and looked at Ladybug. She had heard Rock and looked nervous for them. The others were trying to fight back against Roll and helped Kaminari up.

"You can't do that!" Ladybug cried out, "If you got your quirk back by using me and Cat Noir's Miraculous, you might end up hurting someone else or take someone's quirk away! Do you really wanna do that, Kyouka?!"

Jirou's eyes widened in shock, feeling sick to her stomach. She could never do that to someone. She even looked at Kaminari and noticed how much he kept pushing himself to help her. She could tell that he wanted her to be happy, but didn't want to fight them as well.

"Come on Jirou," Kaminari said to her, "I know that you would never do that! You may have lost an earphone jack, but I can tell that you still want to be a hero! Nothing's changed! You're still a great hero!"

Jirou's eyes widened and felt her heart fluttering from that comment. She gripped onto her shirt and felt so much warmth and comfort coming from him.

"Kyouka... Please, I just want you to be happy," Rock said back as she caressed her face.

Jirou noticed that her mom meant it, but knew that the akuma was getting in the way. She hesitated, but soon faced her and was ready to fight.

"Sorry mom, but I am happy even without part of my quirk," Jirou said back.

Rock looked a little disappointed, but something about it seemed to get through to her. She gripped her head, feeling a headache coming over her. Jirou tried to look for something that could have the akuma in it and noticed that her glasses were now sunglasses.

She tried to grab them before she even noticed, but then Rock grabbed her and held her around her shoulders.

"Everyone! Don't move!" Rock cried out, "Ladybug! Give me your Miraculous!"

Everyone stood still once Rock grabbed onto her daughter. Ladybug instinctively covered her Miraculous, and Kaminari clenched his fists in frustration. He felt static electricity run up and down his arms, feeling like he had to do something.

Kaminari knew that Rock n' Roll were tougher than they thought they'd be.

Another amazing chapter!

I really like how this chapter turned out! I'm really liking Melissa and Iida! Something about them I find very adorable after what they've been through! I do love Midoriya and Melissa, but just the way things have been written out, I actually don't mind this pairing whether they're together or not! I find them interesting since she helped make him an amazing invention! I actually love this invention idea for Iida. Since he's so smart, I thought this would be a great way to help him! I think it's also funny because it reminds me of Batman, and he was akumatized as the Dark Knight! LOL!

Jirou and her parents has been fun to write! I like the thought of Jirou going through this considering what happened with her quirk! Something like this would definitely happen. I of course enjoy writing some Jirou and Kaminari in there as well! Also, I'd like to point out Bakugo protecting his friends! I love it, and I find it very satisfying!

What's going to happen next??

More to come soon!
