TWO CHAPTERS A DAY!!! AM I DREAMING?

I decided I needed some help. I couldn't go into this unprepared. So, with newfound determination, I stood up and headed downstairs to Miss Himeko's room. She always had a knack for these kinds of things, and I hoped she could provide some much-needed guidance.

As I approached the door, I could hear faint laughter and chatter from inside. I paused for a moment, taking a deep breath to steady my nerves before knocking lightly.

"Come in!" Miss Himeko called, her voice cheerful.

I opened the door and stepped inside, immediately greeted by the warm atmosphere of the room. Miss Himeko was sitting on her bed, a stack of books piled next to her, and across from her was Miss Theresa, her usual stern expression softening as she engaged in conversation.

"Shirou!" Miss Himeko smiled brightly, her eyes lighting up. "What brings you here?"

I hesitated, suddenly feeling the weight of my mission. "Um, actually, I need some advice about… planning something special for Kiana."

Both women turned their attention to me, and I felt the room shift with interest. Miss Himeko's smile widened, while Miss Theresa raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement creeping into her usually serious demeanor.

"Don't worry, Shirou! You've come to the right place," Miss Theresa said, puffing out her small chest with an air of confidence. "Himeko and I are experts in these types of situations."

At that moment, a sinking feeling settled in my stomach, and I knew I had made the biggest mistake of my life. The enthusiasm in her voice, combined with the mischievous glint in Miss Himeko's eyes, sent a shiver down my spine. I could already imagine the barrage of ideas and "expert advice" they would unleash.

"Uh, maybe I should—" I started to say, but Miss Himeko cut me off with an excited grin.

"Oh, this is going to be so much fun!" she exclaimed, bouncing slightly on her bed. "We can plan out every detail, from the food to the perfect setup!"

Miss Theresa nodded in agreement, her expression a mix of seriousness and amusement. "First things first, let's make a list of everything you need. We can't leave anything to chance if we want it to be perfect!"

I felt a bead of sweat form on my forehead as I tried to keep up with their enthusiasm. "Um, I appreciate it, but it really doesn't have to be anything extravagant. I just wanted to do something simple."

"Simple can be beautiful, but it can also be boring if not done right!" Miss Himeko countered playfully, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "We need to make sure Kiana has the best time possible!"

I sighed inwardly, realizing I had opened Pandora's box. The two of them were already brainstorming ideas, tossing out suggestions at lightning speed. Everything from elaborate picnic setups to silly games started flying through the air, and I felt myself getting more overwhelmed by the second.

"Wait, hold on!" I interjected, raising my hands to pause the rapid-fire planning. "Maybe we should start with just a few key ideas before going all out."

Miss Theresa chuckled, her eyes glimmering with mischief. "Oh, Shirou, we can't help it! You're finally taking a step into romance, and we're here to make sure you don't mess it up!"

"Exactly!" Miss Himeko added an enthusiastic nod. "This is a big deal, and we're here to guide you!"

I ran a hand through my hair, trying to keep my composure. "I just wanted to make her happy…" I muttered, feeling the pressure mounting.

Miss Theresa leaned closer, her eyes narrowing playfully. "Then trust us. We've got your back, Shirou. This is going to be the best picnic ever!"

As Miss Himeko and Miss Theresa bounced ideas off one another, my mind wandered back to a moment I could never shake—the day the Herrscher of Void awoke inside Kiana. I glanced down at my clenched fists, remembering it all too clearly.

That day had been chaos incarnate. The overwhelming power, the confusion in Kiana's eyes as she struggled against the darkness that had engulfed her. It felt like it was yesterday. It had taken everything I had—and Major Himeko's strength too—to help Kiana regain control. The fear of losing her, of watching her slip away, had gripped me like a vice.

In that storm of despair, I had somehow found the courage to confess my feelings for her. "I'm here for you, Kiana! You're not alone in this!" I had shouted, my heart racing, desperate to reach her through the chaos. It felt like the world had paused for that moment, and I had never been more terrified or hopeful.

I could still see the flicker of recognition in her eyes, that brief moment when she chose to fight back, to reclaim herself. It was the day I learned just how deeply I cared for her, how she could inspire strength even in the darkest moments.

"Shirou?" Miss Himeko's voice pulled me back to reality, concern etched across her face. "You okay? You seem a bit lost in thought."

I shook my head, forcing a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just… thinking about how far we've come since then."

Miss Theresa tilted her head, her expression softening. "It's okay to reflect on tough times, especially when you care about someone so deeply. But you've both grown stronger since then."

I nodded, feeling a warmth spread through me at the thought of Kiana's smile and her unwavering spirit. "She's stronger than ever. I just want to be there for her, to show her that she's not alone."

Miss Himeko's eyes sparkled with encouragement. "That's the key! Use those feelings to inspire your plan. You're creating new memories together, ones that remind her she's surrounded by love and support."

Suddenly, her expression shifted, and she leaned in closer, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "What about a beach date? Just imagine it: you two under the moonlight, the waves gently lapping at your feet. And then…" she paused for dramatic effect, "you kiss her lips before continuing the night in a hotel room. You could have your first time together!"

I felt my ears heat up with embarrassment, my face flushing as I stammered, "N-no! That's way too much! That's not what I meant!" My heart raced, a mix of shock and mortification washing over me.

But Miss Himeko seemed undeterred, her enthusiasm only growing. She cracked a smile, eyes glimmering with a mad intensity. For a moment, I could see the romantic dreamer inside her, completely lost in her fantasy. Then, unexpectedly, a few tears glimmered in her eyes as she looked wistfully off into the distance, clearly imagining her own ideal scenario.

Seeing her like that prompted Miss Theresa to step in, her demeanor softening as she comforted Himeko with a gentle hand on her shoulder. "It's okay, Himeko. We all have our dreams, right?"

I sat there, both amused and exasperated, thinking to myself, Please, someone marry her already. I couldn't help but imagine the chaos that would ensue if her fantasies were ever put into practice.

Miss Theresa turned back to me, her expression serious yet understanding. "But Shirou, there's a kernel of truth in what she said. A beach date could be magical if you handle it right. Just keep it sincere and true to what Kiana would enjoy."

I took a deep breath, trying to focus despite the lingering embarrassment. "I just want it to be special for her. I want her to feel loved, not overwhelmed."

"Exactly!" Miss Himeko chimed in, wiping her eyes and regaining her cheerful composure. "It's all about creating those moments that feel genuine. Just follow your heart, and you'll do great!"

Feeling a mix of embarrassment and a sense of urgency, I decided it was best to leave before things got even more out of hand. The last thing I needed was for them to start suggesting even wilder ideas or, worse, hand me a box of condoms while grinning like mischievous schoolchildren.

"Um, thanks for the help, but I think I've got enough to work with now," I said quickly, trying to maintain a casual tone. "I should probably start planning everything."

Miss Himeko looked momentarily disappointed, clearly hoping for more brainstorming, but a teasing smile crept onto her lips. "Oh, come on! Just think about it! A beach date, a romantic kiss under the moonlight…"

"Okay, okay!" I interrupted, raising my hands in surrender. "I really need to go!"

As I turned to leave, I could hear Miss Theresa chuckling softly behind me. "Good luck, Shirou! And remember, take her somewhere she'll love."

I nodded, already feeling the weight of their expectations lift as I stepped out of the room. I needed to focus, to plan a date that was special for Kiana—one that didn't involve wild fantasies or any awkward discussions about… other things.

As I made my way down the hallway, I couldn't help but curse my E-rank luck. Just when I thought I had narrowly escaped the chaos of Himeko and Theresa's brainstorming session, I turned a corner and nearly collided with Kiana.

"Whoa, Shirou!" she exclaimed, her eyes wide with surprise, her cheeks slightly flushed from training. "What are you doing here?"

"Uh, just… heading out," I stammered, suddenly feeling a surge of nervous energy. Of all the times to run into her, it had to be right after I'd been bombarded with romantic ideas. My cheeks felt hot, and I hoped she didn't notice the sudden spike of anxiety in my stomach.

Kiana tilted her head, a playful grin creeping onto her face. "You look a little flustered. Did you just have a meeting with Himeko and Theresa?"

"Something like that," I replied, trying to sound casual despite the mental images of what they might have suggested. "Just getting some… advice on things."

Her eyes sparkled with curiosity, and I could tell she was itching to pry. "Oh? What kind of advice?"

"Uh, you know, just general stuff," I said quickly, trying to deflect her attention. "Nothing too important."

Kiana crossed her arms, a smirk growing on her lips. "Come on, Shirou! You can't just drop that and expect me to let it go! Spill it!"

I felt my heart race, acutely aware of how this conversation could spiral into dangerously awkward territory. "It's nothing, really! Just planning a little surprise for a friend," I blurted out, realizing too late how vague that sounded.

Her eyes widened, and she leaned in closer, a teasing glint dancing in her gaze. "For who? Is it me?"

I nearly choked. "N-no! I mean, it's not… um…" I stuttered, flailing internally as I tried to find my footing. "It's just… a friend!"

Kiana's playful expression shifted to one of mock seriousness, her eyebrow raised. "Right. A friend. Sure, I totally believe you. You're not hiding anything, are you?"

I forced a laugh, but it felt strained. "No, of course not! Just trying to plan something nice for someone. That's all!"

Just then, a loud crash echoed down the hallway, followed by a burst of laughter from a group of students. Kiana turned her head, momentarily distracted, and I seized the opportunity to regain my composure.

"So, what about you? What are you up to?" I asked, hoping to steer the conversation away from my blundering attempts at romance.

"Oh, you know, just the usual training," she said, her voice brightening as she animatedly recounted her latest session. "I was trying out some new moves with Fu hua, and I almost had her! Well, I mean, sort of…"

As our conversation continued, Kiana's excitement was infectious, but I felt a wave of panic wash over me. I couldn't risk getting too caught up in her enthusiasm when I still had so much to plan.

"Uh, hey, Kiana," I said, trying to sound casual while internally kicking myself. "I actually have to go meet Mei about something."

Her face fell slightly, disappointment flickering in her eyes. "Oh, really? You're leaving already?"

"Yeah," I replied, backing away slowly. "You know how it is with Mei. She's got a million things on her plate, and I can't keep her waiting."

Kiana narrowed her eyes playfully. "Oh, come on! You're not just going to run away from me, are you? I want to know what you're planning!"

My heart raced at the thought of her finding out. "What? No! I swear, it's nothing special!"

She leaned in a bit closer, her expression a mix of teasing and genuine curiosity. "If it's not special, then why are you acting so secretive about it? I can handle whatever it is!"

I chuckled nervously, glancing around for an escape route. "Really, Kiana! I promise it's nothing! I really have to go! If I don't, Mei might—"

"Mei, Mei, Mei!" Kiana interrupted, shaking her head dramatically. "You're just using her as an excuse to dodge me! What are you hiding?"

Feeling a surge of determination, I pulled my wrist free from her grasp, her fingers slipping away reluctantly. "Okay, okay! Just let me go! I promise I'll tell you everything later!"

With that, I took a few steps back, trying to regain my composure. "Seriously, I need to go meet her. I'll catch up with you later, alright?"

Kiana's pout deepened, but I could see a flicker of understanding in her eyes. "Fine, but you better keep your promise! I'm going to find out what you're planning!"

"Yeah, yeah," I said, waving her off as I turned to dash down the hallway, my heart racing from the close call.

Thank God I escaped. If Kiana had kept holding onto me, I might have blurted out everything. My heart raced as I turned down another hallway, thoughts swirling in my mind. Now, I just need to find Mei and focus on planning something special.

As I approached the kitchen, the delicious aroma of food wafted through the air. I knocked lightly on the doorframe before stepping inside. Mei was there, deftly chopping vegetables, her movements fluid and graceful.

"Hey, Mei!" I called out, trying to keep my tone upbeat. "What are you making?"

She looked up, her face brightening at the sight of me. "Just some dinner. I thought I'd whip up something nice for everyone. Want to help?"

"Absolutely!" I said, stepping further into the kitchen. I loved cooking, and Mei was an excellent cook, too. It was always a pleasure to work alongside her.

"Great! Can you hand me that bowl over there?" she asked, pointing to a shelf behind me. I grabbed the bowl and turned back, noticing how focused she was on her task.

"What are you making?" I asked as I handed her the bowl.

"Stir-fried vegetables with some grilled chicken," she replied, flashing me a smile. "And I'm thinking of making a little dessert afterward. Something sweet to end the day."

I couldn't help but grin back. "Sounds amazing. You always have the best ideas!"

As we worked side by side, chopping and mixing ingredients, I felt the tension from earlier melt away. It was nice to be here with Mei, sharing this moment. I tried to push thoughts of Kiana and the beach date out of my mind, focusing instead on the rhythm of cooking.

"Do you need any help with that?" I asked, nodding toward the sizzling pan on the stove.

"Nope, I've got this!" Mei said confidently. "Just keep an eye on the rice for me, will you? It should be ready in a few minutes."

"Sure thing," I replied, stepping closer to the stove. As I watched the rice simmer, I couldn't help but feel grateful for these moments of normalcy. Cooking with Mei reminded me of how much I enjoyed these simple things in life, away from the chaos of battles and training.

"So," Mei began casually, stirring the vegetables, "what's been going on with you? You seem a little more… flustered than usual today."

I froze for a moment, my mind racing as I considered how to answer. "Uh, just… stuff with training, you know?" I replied, trying to sound casual. "Kiana's been pretty persistent about hanging out lately."

Mei raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile creeping onto her lips. "Oh? Is that so? She's been chasing you down?"

I chuckled, trying to downplay it. "You could say that. But you know how it is—she just wants to make sure we're all ready for whatever comes next."

"Sure, that's one way to put it," Mei said, her expression shifting to something more thoughtful. "You know, it's okay to have fun, Shirou. You don't have to take everything so seriously."

I nodded, appreciating her words. "I know. I just want to make sure I'm doing my best."

"Well, don't forget to enjoy the journey, too," she said, her voice gentle. "It's those little moments that make everything worthwhile."

Her words resonated with me as I turned back to the simmering rice. Maybe I needed to remember that as I planned for my surprise with Kiana. I could make it special without losing sight of the joy in the moment.

"Thanks, Mei," I said, feeling a sense of gratitude. "I'll keep that in mind."
