The roar of the Kyuubi shook the village of Konoha to its core. Flames licked the skies as shinobi fought desperately, their jutsu flashing in a blur as they tried to contain the devastation unleashed by the colossal fox demon. Amid the chaos, a figure in a white Hokage cloak and triangular hat stood on the Fourth Hokage Monument, his face marked with grim determination.

Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, had made his decision. There was no other choice. He quickly summoned his familiar and boss toad from toad clan and flashed with kyuubi away to where his son and wife were.

The very moment minato appeared with kyuubi, kushina used her chains to bind the thrashing beast down to give them some time to plan and think.

In the distance, Minato saw his wife, Kushina Uzumaki, clutching their newborn son, Naruto. Her fiery red hair, now dull with exhaustion, framed her face as she looked at Minato, her eyes filled with understanding and sorrow. They both knew what had to be done.

"Minato…" Kushina whispered, her voice weak but resolute. "We have to seal the Kyuubi into Naruto. It's the only way to save the village and as for our blessing we will use that jutsu."

Minato nodded, his heart heavy. "Kushina, are you sure? that jutsu… it's forbidden in your clan for a reason."

"I know," she replied, cradling Naruto closer to her chest. "But I want our son to be strong… to carry our love, knowledge, and dreams forward. If we're not there… he'll need every advantage to survive even if hiruzen will be there but the village I don't trust them with my sochi."

With tears in his eyes minato nodded and knelt beside her, his hand touching Naruto's tiny forehead. "Forgive us, Naruto," he murmured. "But you will carry our legacy… you will be our hope."

Together, they prepared to perform the Eternal Soul Chain, a forbidden Uzumaki technique that would seal remaining of their chakra, their knowledge, and memories of entire life into Naruto. This jutsu required the utmost sacrifice which was the cost of their own lives but considering the kushina was already dying and minato planning to summon shinigami to seal kyuubi in naruto, their death was already confirmed today.

As Minato and Kushina activated the Eternal Soul Chain, chains of chakra—red and vibrant—unfurled from Kushina, intertwining with Minato's blue chakra in an intricate web. The chains encircled Naruto, glowing with the combined strength and love of his parents.

A pulse of chakra rippled through Naruto's small form as memories began to imprint themselves within his mind: Minato's years of study, the secrets of the Hiraishin, the Rasengan, Kushina's mastery of fūinjutsu and her deadly Adamantine Sealing Chains, knowledge of kenjutsu, taijutsu, even the rare kekkai genkai from minato and Kushina's lineage which she kept hidden from everyone but minato and third hokage.

They transferred everything they could—their skills, their techniques, and a lifetime of knowledge. This power would lay dormant until Naruto needed it most, a silent gift from his parents to guide him in their absence.

With the Eternal Soul Chain complete, Minato took a deep breath and began to summon the Shinigami to seal the Kyuubi within Naruto. A ghastly form appeared before him—the Shinigami, its skeletal face and dark aura looming as it extended a clawed hand to Minato. The price for such a sealing was steep, and Minato knew it would claim his soul.

"You have given everything… sacrificed your very lives to protect your son and this village," the Shinigami intoned, its voice echoing like a thunderstorm. "As a tribute to your unwavering courage and boundless love, I shall grant your son a gift."

"Thank you shinigami-sama, I apologize for summoning you into the mortal realm, but this is our last resort to protect our son" said minato and kushina just looked silently, crying as skowly darkness started to envelope her and knew her time was coming.

"For the one who bears my mark," the Shinigami murmured, "I give you Benehime, the Scarlet Princess. This blade is infused with my essence and will serve him as a conduit for my power. It grants him mastery over the forbidden arts of kido, as well as the stages of Shikai and Bankai which are only known to me, to be unlocked as his strength grows."

The Shinigami held the blade out, lowering it until the hilt rested beside the now sleeping Naruto.

"May Benehime guide him when he walks in darkness, and may his light be fierce enough to protect the lives you have entrusted him to save," the Shinigami intoned. With that, the spectral form began the sealing, binding the Kyuubi within Naruto, and making it such no one will forcefully open this seal or trying to modify it.

As the last of the Kyuubi's energy was pulled into Naruto, Minato and Kushina felt their souls slipping away. They looked upon their son one final time, committing his innocent face to memory.

"Naruto," Kushina whispered softly, her voice breaking, "we love you so much. Never forget that."

Minato leaned down, his fingers brushing Naruto's cheek. "Live well, Naruto. Become a man we can be proud of. We'll be watching over you… always."

With a final pulse, their chakra faded, and Minato and Kushina Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage and the Red-Hot Habanero, breathed their last.

As they departed along with shinigami claiming their soul, Benehime shimmered beside Naruto who was soundly asleep regardless of ongoing chaos beside him.

As the barrier created by kushina disappeared, third hokage and two of his most trusted anbu appeared beside him. They were Crow and Neko.

The air was thick with ash and smoke, the devastation of the Kyuubi's attack still visible as Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage, looked at a small infant wrapped tightly in blankets—Naruto Uzumaki lying beside his dead parents. Minato and Kushina's final sacrifice had saved the village, but at a tremendous cost, and Hiruzen could feel the weight of their legacy resting heavily on his shoulders.

Beside Naruto lay a gleaming sword, radiating an eerie red aura. One of the ANBU, Crow, attempted to pick it up, only to be struck by a sudden bolt of red lightning that forced him to pull his hand away, grimacing in pain. The sword, powerful and seemingly alive, pulsed as though it recognized its rightful master.

Hiruzen observed the blade thoughtfully, sensing a deep power embedded within it. He stepped forward and gently lifted it, feeling no resistance. A grave understanding settled over him. "This sword is bound to Naruto. It is part of his inheritance." thought third hokage.

Turning to his ANBU, Hiruzen's voice became firm. "This sword and its bond to Naruto is classified as an S-Class secret. Only the three of us will know of it."

Both ANBU members nodded solemnly, acknowledging the importance of this information's secrecy. Hiruzen gave Naruto one last, sad glance, silently promising to protect the child who now held the fate of the village—and perhaps more—in his tiny hands.

"Take Minato and Kushina's bodies and prepare them for a hero's burial," he instructed, his voice thick with grief. "They deserve to be honored for what they've done."

(Inside Council Meeting)

In a swirl of leaves, Hiruzen appeared in his office, the infant Naruto still held close. Already, council members and several clan leaders were gathering, waiting for word on the Hokage's next steps. The room was thick with tension, filled with both grief and the need for leadership in the wake of tragedy.

As Hiruzen took his place at the head of the room, he was met with solemn stares, each person carrying the weight of the night's losses. Many eyes flickered to the infant in his arms, curiosity and questions brewing.

"Hiruzen-sama," one council member ventured, breaking the silence, "is it true that the Fourth…?"

The Third Hokage's face was grim as he nodded. "Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki gave their lives to save this village"

The room erupted in murmurs, shock and fear evident on every face. Hiruzen let them process the information for a moment before raising his hand for silence.

Shikaku Nara, the Head of the Nara Clan, was the first to speak as entire room went silent, his voice cautious yet pointed. "Hiruzen-sama, we must know—what happened to the Kyuubi?"

Hiruzen met Shikaku's gaze with unwavering calm. "The Kyuubi has been sealed within this child, Naruto Uzumaki, by the Fourth Hokage, who sacrificed his life to protect the village." He held up a hand, preparing for what would follow. "Minato's final wish was for Naruto to be seen as a hero, for he contains the beast and keeps it from threatening us."

There was a moment of stunned silence, but it shattered as angry voices erupted.

"Kill the demon!" one civilian council member shouted, venom in his tone.

"It's too dangerous! We can't risk letting it live!" Tsume Inuzuka added, her voice sharp with fear.

Fugaku Uchiha's voice joined the chorus, cold and unyielding. "Hokage-sama, this child carries the very entity that decimated our village. Executing him would be the most prudent course."

Hiruzen's expression hardened. "Enough!"

The outcry quieted but the tension hung heavy. Danzo, watching with narrowed eyes, chose this moment to interject. "The boy need not be killed, Hiruzen. Instead, let him be trained as a weapon for the village. Hand him over to me, and I'll ensure he serves Konoha without question."

Homura and Koharu nodded in agreement. Koharu spoke up, her voice firm. "We must consider Danzo's proposal, Hiruzen. Properly trained, this child could become our greatest asset."

Hiruzen's face grew steely. His patience was running thin. "I will hear no more of this! This boy is not a weapon, nor will he be used as one."

He looked around the room, his gaze challenging anyone who would contradict him. "I have given my word as Hokage. Should any harm come to Naruto, no matter the rank or position of the one responsible, they will be executed—without question."

A chilling silence fell over the council. Even those who opposed him could see that the Third Hokage's resolve was unbreakable. Fugaku's face darkened, but he said nothing. Danzo merely looked away, his eyes calculating, his mind already churning with plans.

"I expect everyone in this room to respect the Fourth's wishes," Hiruzen added. "The village will rebuild, and Naruto will grow up as any child should. He is Konoha's protector now, and that is how he will be treated."

With his final declaration, Hiruzen's authority was cemented, and the council was left with no choice but to concede. As they moved on to discuss the village's reconstruction, Hiruzen glanced down at Naruto with a small, hopeful smile, silently vowing to protect the child entrusted to him.

(Few Hours Later)

The moon hung high in the sky, casting a soft glow over Konoha as Hiruzen Sarutobi made his way to the Hokage Tower, carrying Naruto in his arms. The village still buzzed with activity from the aftermath of the Kyuubi's attack, but within the Hokage's office, it was quiet. Hiruzen gently placed Naruto in a small cot he had prepared, watching the infant sleep peacefully despite the chaos that had just unfolded.

Hiruzen's gaze softened as he looked at Naruto, thinking of Minato and Kushina, the brave shinobi who had given everything to protect the village and entrust their child to him. He could feel the weight of the responsibility pressing on him, but he was determined to keep his promise.

The door creaked open, and a tall figure entered. It was Jiraiya, Minato's former mentor and one of the legendary Sannin. His face, usually mischievous, was marked by sorrow as he looked at the baby in the cot.

"Thank you for coming, Jiraiya," Hiruzen greeted him, voice heavy with hope. "I thought you should see him."

Jiraiya approached, his expression conflicted as he gazed down at Naruto. For a moment, he seemed lost in thought, but then he sighed and shook his head. "Hiruzen… he looks so much like Minato. Too much."

Hiruzen nodded, his heart sinking a little as he saw the look in Jiraiya's eyes. "That's why I called you here, Jiraiya. This child, Naruto… he is Minato's legacy. I know you have your responsibilities outside the village, but perhaps you could stay. Help raise him, guide him. You were his sensei, and now he needs you more than ever."

Jiraiya frowned, the conflict in his eyes deepening. "Hiruzen, I can't. I'm a spy, gathering intelligence on the enemies that would see Konoha fall. My duty is to protect the village from outside threats, and I can't do that from here. Besides…" he hesitated, glancing away, "…every time I look at Naruto, I see Minato's face. I can't… I can't be what he needs. I'm sorry."

Hiruzen's shoulders sagged, disappointment flashing across his face. He tried one last time, his voice almost pleading. "Jiraiya, this child will face trials. The village will not easily forgive or forget. If you don't stay, he will be alone. This is Minato's son."

But Jiraiya's face remained impassive, and he shook his head again. "I'm sorry, Hiruzen. I have my path, and Naruto has his. He will grow strong; he has Minato's blood in his veins." With a final glance at the child, Jiraiya turned and headed for the door. "Farewell, Sensei."

As the door closed behind him, Hiruzen was left in silence, his heart heavy with both frustration and sorrow. He looked down at Naruto, reaching out a hand to gently brush the baby's cheek.

"You won't be alone, Naruto-kun," he whispered, his voice filled with a mixture of sadness and determination. "I promised your parents I would protect you, and I will keep that promise. No harm will come to you as long as I'm here."

The Third Hokage sat in silence, watching over Naruto as the infant slept peacefully. He swore to himself that he would do everything he could to keep the child safe, to raise him in honor of Minato and Kushina's sacrifice. The road ahead would be difficult, but Hiruzen was resolute.

He would keep his word to Minato and Kushina but what future holds is not known to him or anyone else.
