Sometime After The Gang Left Dinosaur Island
"Boys… I hate to say it. We suck." Red said as he was pacing around in Bowser's Castle. "There's not a chance in hell we can compete with someone like Ruby and Mario. Those two are something else."
"Not only that, but Weiss is a slippery one." Green said.
"Yang is a jerk… I feel like she needs to be taken down a peg." Yellow grumbled.
"Blake's… mysterious and all, but I'm sure I had her on the ropes." Black said. "...I think. I hit my head a bit hard there."
"Of course, there was that Nyx girl too." Yellow said. "Augh! Are we losing our edge?"
"Don't be like that! We're the Koopa Bros! We're the coolest of cool!" Red said. "We just… happen to be… outshined by some colorful teenagers that are overpowering us and stealing our mojo and… and and…"
He let out a groan. "We gotta get better."
"But how are we gonna do that?" Black wondered.
"Ya know…" A Shy Guy walked over. "I've heard there's a place for Koopas to gain further knowledge of power. I believe it's called Pagoda Peak."
"Bah! That's just for washed up losers." Red said.
"...Red? We're washed up losers." Yellow said.
"I walked into that one…" He mumbled. "Okay, Pagoda Peak, you say? Okay, we'll go there and train until we feel ready to come back to Bowser's Army stronger than ever."
A few minutes later…
"Koopa Bros! I need you for a second!" Bowser ordered. "...Koopa Bros, do you hear me? HEY! WHERE ARE YOU!"
"Your loudness, I found this in the courtyard." Kamek said, handing him a note.
"Hmm?" Bowser took it and narrowed his eyes before pulling out some reading glasses and putting them on.
"...You have reading glasses, your blindness?" Kamek teased.
"Give me a break! The text is a bit small." Bowser rolled his eyes.
"Hey B-Dude, we're going on a little journey to discover ourselves. We feel we're dragging you down after our latest attempt to knock RWBY down in Dinosaur Island. Don't worry, we'll be back as soon as we get stronger and knock them down a peg. We'll be the strongest Koopa team on the planet! You can count on it! - Red."
Bowser raised an eyebrow. "They were on Dinosaur Island? I didn't even notice."
"Neither did I, sire."
"That's a shame, I was hoping they would help me out by putting everyone in paintings. Bah, can't get good help around here…" Bowser grumbled. "Oh well, what can you do?"
A few days later…
"Here we are boys… Pagoda Peak." Red said.
BGM: Climb the Peak (Mario Party 7)
"Ya know, I feel like this place could have a party or two, it's kinda boring." Yellow said.
"Nah, let's not worry about that. Come on." Red went off toward the top as the trio followed, where they would see a few huts, a burning lion statue, a gong, some bamboo trees and other various sites at the peak.
They soon reached the top as Red knocked on the door, and then the Koopa Master walked out.
"Oh? Is it time for another party? I don't have any Stars with me…"
"No no, none of that. We wish to train with you to get stronger."
"Train, you say? How strong do you want to be?"
"Strong enough to beat Mario and his friends."
"Ah, Mario. He's a good fella…" He stroked his beard. "What kind of strength are you looking for?"
"I dunno… weapons, magic… anything."
"Magic, you say! Well… I know just want to do with that…"
The Koopa Master walked off and then came back with buckets, mops, sponges and soap.
"Wax on, wax off, sand the floor… you know the rest." He said, handing them the supplies.
"Whoa whoa WHOA, dude! Do we look like karate experts?" Green asked.
"This place could use a pick me up. This is training. Good luck."
The Koopa Master closed the doors behind him.
"...I think we're at the wrong Pagoda Peak." Black sweatdropped.
"No. We're gonna get stronger, no matter what happens! Now let's do what he says and soon, we can become strong enough to take down RWBY and the Mario Bros." Red said. "I don't care how long it takes, we'll be ready!"
"Yeah!" The Bros agreed.
"Indeed. It's not like anything drastic will happen while we're gone! Let's do this!"
Fast Forward to the Present…
BGM: Bustling Town (Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age)
"I wonder when Mayor Bookwyrm will be back." Major Malfunction said as he was standing on a street corner and chatting with the five captains in Solana Town. "That Succubat secretary is working around the clock… I'm starting to worry about her."
"Well, he's been concerned over Weiss after Eggman's invasion." Captain Shy Guy said, drinking a soda through his mask. "He did teach her magic along with Blake and he grew fond of those two over time."
"I know he's been helping out Willow and the folks around in case if they need assistance. Granted, they got the Ultimate Maid busily helping out." Captain Goomba said. "Heck, I'm starting to get a bit concerned over Weiss. Girl's been through the wringer… and believe me, I don't trust that mirror clone of hers as far as I can throw her."
"You can barely throw a baseball." Captain Shy Guy snarked.
"Hey! I've… gotten better. But besides that, Dark Weiss or… Meryl or whatever her name is now? She's probably plotting something to get Weiss out of the picture for good."
"Should we call you Captain Paranoia while we're at it?" Captain Koopa asked.
"Hey!"
"I can understand why you would think that, given how she showed up during the Shroob Invasion and tried to kill Willow." Captain Boo said. "Though, I think she's mellowed out and turned over a new leaf. I think she's fine."
"Indeed. She seems nobler… plus, I think she's her own person now." Captain Slime said.
"I'm still not convinced." Captain Goomba mumbled.
"So, speaking of the Succubat Secretary, where exactly did you find her?" Malfunction wondered.
"Ah, good question. You see, back when we were in the Beanbean Kingdom, we were just about to shove off toward Joke's End-" Captain Slime began.
Pause BGM
Flashback!
BGM: Welcome to the Beanbean Kingdom! (Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga plus Bowser's Minions)
"Now who are these guys?" Captain Goomba wondered as they came across some monsters.
"Those would be Sham Hatwitches, Gryphons, Grublins, and Funghouls." Captain Slime explained. "You see-"
"Hey guys? Aren't we missing a Koopa?" Captain Boo asked as they saw Captain Koopa missing.
"Now that I think about it, a few of the Koopa Troop and the Koopalings are missing." Captain Shy Guy said.
"MORTON DID NOTHIN'. MORTON SWEARS." Morton said.
"Ya know, I did see some members have hearts over their eyes… they seemed to be entranced." Lakitu said.
"And you didn't mention that sooner?!" Captain Goomba exclaimed in surprise.
"I wanted to say something, but I didn't know when it'd be a good time to say anything."
"Well, I suppose now is a good time than any…" Wendy said while rolling her eyes.
"Alright, let's go find 'em." Captain Goomba said as they walked off with Lakitu guiding them.
Several Fawful's forces fought later…
"Hey, what's that…?" Larry wondered as hearts started to float over to them.
"I didn't realize it was already Valentine's Day." Iggy said as the hearts dropped down on the two Koopalings, where they immediately had hearts draped over their eyes.
"We'll do anything you ask, m'lady~!" They said in a trance.
"What are you lovesick buffoons mumbling about?" Wendy wondered.
"There's our culprits!" Lakitu said, pointing dead ahead as they saw the Head Succubat alongside an army of Succubats… with several minions fanning them with leaves and declaring their love for them, including Captain Koopa, Iggy and Larry.
"MORTON DOES NOT WANT TO BE LOVESICK."
"Oho~" Wendy snapped a picture. "Blackmail~!"
"Hello boys~" The head Succubat said. "You want to play? Then I'll have my minions play with you before I pull you into my ranks~" She giggled seductively as Gryphons. Dullahans, Dragon Slimes, a Golem and a Green Dragon approached, all of them having hearts over their eyes.
"Of all ladies for you to fawn over, it has to be the ugliest bimbo ever…" Wendy deadpanned.
"Succubats are really dangerous towards men, especially when they do Puff Puff. …Not even I can resist this. Trust me, Puff Puff can be interpreted in many different ways." Captain Slime said.
"Again. You're fawning over a bimbo. Y'all can do so much better." Wendy said before sighing, summoning her rings. "Alright, let's get this over with!"

End flashback…
"Thanks to Lady Wendy smacking us to our senses, we were able to win the fight and got everyone back to normal. Now she's Bookwyrm's secretary." Captain Slime said.
"Wow." Tech said as he had walked over. "Fascinating story."
"Indeed." Captain Slime nodded.
"So that's how you recruited her… good to know!" Malfunction said, when the Succubat came flying over completely frazzled.
"Have any of you seen the Mad Moais?!" She asked.
"Wait, Moais? Plural? We have more?" Captain Goomba asked.
"Yes, and I am trying to keep count on how many that we have."
"You just missed them. They all went to Toad Town asking for gum." Tech said.
"...Oh no."
Meanwhile, at Cafe Cirrostratus…
"We don't sell any gum!" The Lakitu owner said. "Now leave or else I will ban your kind just like I did to Luigi!"
"Why dum dum ban my own kind?"
"Because you are rude giant rock heads that are even uglier than Thwomps. Honestly, you're just as bad as those gluttonous pancake lovers. Don't get me STARTED on that blonde angel girl. She was being critical about our services! I don't care if she's a child, she is banned from-"
"QUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTT!"
The resulting scream was heard all over Toad Town and echoed straight into Mushroom City, several windows breaking as some parked cars started blaring their horns.
"Yeesh… what was that…?" Chiaki wondered, twisting her finger into her ear as she noticed Ibuki visibly shaking with her eyes completely white and blank. "...You okay, Mioda?"
"Mmmph…" Ibuki whimpered as blood started to gush out of her ears. "No…" She said in a high pitched pained squeak.
Back at Solana Town…
Resume Bustling Town BGM
"Did y'all just hear that?" Captain Boo wondered.
"Yeah, it sounds like Bookwyrm is going to give them an earful." Captain Goomba said.
"Oh… that's going to be a lot more paperwork…" Succubat sighed.
"What the heck?! Who are you people?!" A voice asked as they turned to see the Koopa Bros walking around, completely in shock over the town.
"Wait, the Koopa Bros are back?!" Captain Goomba said in surprise.
"The who?" Malfunction wondered.
"They're these Koopa Ninjas that were on top of their game and were the coolest of cool." Captain Goomba said. "And then RWBY knocked them down and they weren't the same since."
"I was just a cadet when they were around." Captain Koopa said.
"Of course, uh… they're probably discount Ninja Turtles because of Umber's summons." Captain Shy Guy said.
"Ah, some familiar faces!" Red walked over to them. "At least, I think…"
"What the heck happened here? What's with the town near Bowser's Castle?" Black asked.
"I think Lord Bowser will want to see you guys. I'm sure he'll bring you up to speed." Captain Goomba said. "Welcome back, by the way."
"Thank you." Red nodded as they took off toward the castle.
"They're in for a culture shock." Captain Shy Guy said.
"Tell me more about these guys." Captain Slime requested.

At Bowser's Castle…
"And so, I was thinking that-"
"WE'RE BAAAAAAAAAACK!" A voice cried.
"Hmm?" Bowser looked up from his throne. "I know those voices."
The doors swung open as the four Koopas jumped in and landed in front of the Koopa King.
BGM: Koopa Bros Keep Cool (Paper Mario)
"Oh my! You guys have finally come back!" Kamek said.
"Well, aren't you a sight for sore eyes." Roman said, folding his arms.
"Welcome back." General Guy greeted.
"Indeed, we're back and better than ever!" Red said. "Not only are we stronger-"
Black clapped his hands as a shadowy aura surrounded him. "We've learned magic!"
"We've got weapons!" Yellow said, holding up some nunchucks as he spun them around… and bonked himself on the head. "Ow!"
"And we're even cooler than before!" Green said.
"Not even that blue goo junk could stop us! In fact, we managed to push that radioactive material away from us with the power of teamwork and our magic!" Red said. "...Plus, the Koopa Master had a Star we used to push it away from the peak, but… details."
"BWAHAHAHAHAHA!" Bowser roared heartily. "You really outdone yourselves, boys! Though an extra set of hands wouldn't have hurt several schemes ago!"
"Ah, sorry, big guy. The training went on longer than we thought." Red admitted. "But we're back! …And we definitely missed a lot. What the heck is up with the town back there?"
"It's a long story." Kamek said.
"Hey, why don't you go ahead and show off your stuff to a thorn in my side?" Bowser suggested. "Show off your new stuff to that trapper girl and bring her here to me. Then we'll tell you everything."
"Nyx? Where is she?"
"She's living in Toad Town. Big house. Can't miss it."
"Alright boys! Let's go knock her out!" Red said as they threw down smoke bombs and took off.
End BGM
"With all due respect, big guy… you do remember that Nyx has her semblance on at all times, right?" Roman pointed out.
Bowser let out a chuckle. "Oh, I'm very much aware."
"...What are you up to?" General Guy asked.
"Bwahaha! They left for a year so this is their punishment! …Kamek, go get a cake ready for them when they get back. I missed those idiots!"
Kamek saluted and then walked off. "I'm grateful that Peach gave me her cake recipe just in case…"
Back with the captains…
"So, just a bunch of misfits that seemed to have missed a lot." Captain Slime said.
"Indeed. They're morons, but Lord Bowser likes 'em. Heck, the other day, I overheard him saying "I wonder when those four colorful ninja boneheads will come back"." Captain Goomba said as they noticed the Koopa Bros running off.
"There they go. Probably have an assignment already." Captain Boo said.
"They're probably going to be humiliated. Poor bastards." Captain Shy Guy said.
"Hmm… four misfits… kinda reminds me of me and the crew." Malfunction said. "There's me and Filo… but I wonder where Excluckabirb and Donatini are at…"
Later, at Toad Town…
BGM: Toad Town (Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story plus Bowser Jr's Journey)
"Whoooooooa!" Red said as they landed on a roof, screeching to a halt. "Is it me or has this place grown since we've last been here?"
"What's with the gigantic tower?!" Yellow wondered, pointing toward the Future Foundation.
Red blinked. "Peach. I did not know you were trying to compensate for something. What the heck, woman?"
"Okay, soooo… big house… big house…" Green looked away from the Future Foundation.
"We might have to ask around. So many houses!" Black groaned.
"Ya know what… let's ask around." Red said as they hopped off of the roof as they wandered around until he knocked on a door, where Kali answered the door.
"Can I help you?"
"Hi, we're looking for a Nyx Shadow. You know where she lives?" Red asked, unaware of Yellow and Green blushing at the sight of Kali.
Duuuude, she's pretty! Both of them thought.
"Oh, Nyx? She's a few blocks away from here. Just keep going straight until you see a big house. Can't miss it."
"Thank you." Red nodded as he walked off while Black dragged away the lovestruck Koopas.
"She's probably married. Y'all don't have a shot." Black said as the duo snapped out of their daze as they went off until they found Nyx's home.
"Wow! Definitely made a name for herself." Red chuckled as they discreetly peeked through a window to see no one inside. They snuck back and saw Nyx reading a book on the back porch.
"There she is." Black whispered as they snuck around the fenceline.
"Okay, on three, we ambush her." Red whispered as they nodded. "One. Two… Three!"
They vaulted over the fence.
"Yaaaaaah!"

Red stepped over a hidden rope trap as his ankle was snagged and pulled him up on the tree. "WAAAH!"
"Whoa!" Black exclaimed as a cage sprung up and caught him.
"Bwah! What is this… glue?!" Yellow wondered.
"Phew… glad I got out unscathed." Green said as he took a few steps… and then a small misty explosion happened that covered his legs in ice. "Gah! …Me and my big mouth…"
"Hmm?" Nyx looked up from her book. "Oh, hi boys." She greeted nonchalantly.
"Hiiiii Nyx…" The four greeted in embarrassment.
"Haven't seen you since Dinosaur Island." She said, putting a bookmark in and walking over, leaning her arms on the railing. "So, where've you been all this time?"
"Training to get stronger in Pagoda Peak after that humiliating defeat." Black said.
"Pagoda Peak, eh? Not a bad place to train. You boys missed a ton when you went away."
"How much have we missed?" Red wondered.
Nyx let out a hearty laugh. "Oh, where do I even begin?"
This Gaiden idea was by Drei! I just put in the Koopa Bros stuff in it since I felt there should be more meat in the bones since it was just gonna be the Captains talk about the Succubat secretary!
Deadpool: The boys are gonna be there for a while... by the way, is Ibuki going to be okay? She's not here with us.
