Story Start!

Saeko's father was... well... he wasn't going to be joining them on their journey.

He wasn't dead yet though.

"Father... you can't be this stubborn, this is no time to be looking over the dojo." Saeko tried to reason with her father, but he refused to say another word on the matter. He was the only living person at the dojo, there were no undead... but there wasn't exactly a lot to keep him going either.

"Daughter, I was born at the dojo, and here is where I will die if there is nobody to inherit it."

"Father, you can't be serious." Saeko was one to obey her father in nearly all situations, but this was a situation where she would have hoped he would listen to reason. There would be no more tournaments, and absolutely no more students coming to learn from him. Other than his own personal attachment, there was no reason for him to stay.

"I am serious, I will be here, waiting for the day you surpass me and make me move."

"Fine... I'll come back some other day. I just pray that you will still be alive when I do." Saeko gave up. She couldn't beat her father at her current skill level, and she wasn't going to ask Naruto to fight this battle for her. She would just have to accept her father being stubborn, and refusing to leave for his own good.

"Leave, now! I want you out of my sight."

"I understand."

'He's been bitten.' Naruto thought as he watched this exchange. Saeko couldn't see the overwhelming sadness in the man's eyes. He was a man that was holding onto humanity for dear life. He was also hiding his arm from Saeko, and he seemed to have the air of a man on death's door. '... I'll tell her later. It would be better.' Naruto decided. He got back in the RV, and Saeko joined him.

They started the RV back up, and away they went.

It was an awkward silence.

-The Next Day-

The awkward silence didn't last an entire day though.

"Oh, I hope those poor animals can get out of their cages." Alice looked out the window, and she saw a zoo they passed right by. She was among the many who felt sympathy for the animals. It was a common hope for all of them that the animals would be okay.

"I, for one, hope that they don't get out." Naruto shivered.

"That's mean."

"No it isn't. It would be better for everyone if all those animals just died. We don't know if zombies can infect other animals, and I for one am NOT looking forward to Zombie Rhino, Zombie Tiger, and Zombie Gorilla... and Zombie Elephant." Naruto shivered at the thought of those last 2 becoming zombies. "We are lucky that Japan doesn't have a ton of wild dogs in the cities, and the ones that are stray realize to run away from zombies." Naruto shivered again.

That was a scary thought.

What would happen if a dog with rabies got bitten by a zombie, that would be a terrifying thought if those two viruses met with each other and turned into something horrible.

"Thank you Naruto, I'm going to have nightmares tonight." Kiriko commented with her best deadpan.

*ROAR*

"... So am I." Naruto put the pedal to the metal when he heard that roar, and he saw what had caused it. "By the way... can somebody hold onto Alice, and can everyone hold on... it's about to get a little bumpy." Naruto didn't want to alarm anyone or make them panic. He especially didn't want to make them panic.

"You hear roars from zoos, it happens. There is no reason to..." Asami went up and joined Naruto at the front, before she saw what had roared as well. "... oh..." Asami whispered, and she went back to the back of the RV and held onto the nearest object she could hold onto.

"What..." Rei came forward. "... oh..."

Zombie Lion.

"Yeah, lion cages are open air with a really big pit... normally they can't climb out, but if enough zombies fall into the pit... they can build a ramp for the lion to get out." Naruto started to drive, and the Zombie Lion started to give chase to them. It would seem that was the only zombie animal that was chasing them, that maybe none of the other animals had escaped from the zoo and gotten bitten. "Rei, spear me." Naruto leaned his body out the window, and he reached back.

Rei gave him her spear.

Naruto held the spear out the window like a lance, and he turned the RV around to chase down the lion. He drove with one hand, and with the other he jammed the spear into the lion's skull. They were attracting the attention of other zombies, so Naruto just drove off and left the spear in the lion's head.

"So animals can get infected."

"Maybe not all animals, but that lion had a LOT of bite marks. Gonna bet that anything can become a zombie if it gets bitten enough." Naruto answered Saya's statement. There was a sense of dread in the air that they would have to worry about animal zombies too. "So, first up, lets check out-"

-The "First" Location-

"... Can I veto this place, this place is only the first one?" Takashi opened the door and looked out the RV, only to instantly see a lot of zombies everywhere.

"No need, looks like this town is still too close to the urban areas." Naruto agreed when he looked out the window, and he started to drive. There were barely any cars on the road, so he could drive faster than when he was in a city, and not on a sidewalk.

"Maybe there are NO zombie free places."

"Maybe there isn't, but we won't know until we check. Disease spreads from person to person, so if we look hard enough, we can find some remote, ass backwards place where nobody has gotten bitten yet." Naruto was sure that there was some village that didn't even know that zombies had become a thing for real.

"The roadtrip goes onward!"

"Onward we go... Shizuka, take over for a minute, I'm going to take a nap." Naruto yawned. Driving constantly was starting to make him feel tired. He pulled over and got up so that Shizuka could take over for him. He went into the back, and just sat and leaned up against the electric stove in the small kitchen area.

"You've been driving a lot, do you need a drink?" Saeko offered him a bottled water.

He waved her off with his hand.

"I'm good."

"Sleeping like that can't be good for your neck. You can use my lap if you want." Saeko offered her lap. Naruto thought about it, and with how tired he was that sounded like it would be a nice idea. There was a little shock from everyone when Naruto did place his head in her lap.

Her athletic muscle made for very soft thighs.

"Hey Naruto."

"Zzzzzz."

"Holy..." Takashi muttered in shock when Naruto was out like a light the second he put his head down for a nap.

"He hasn't slept in 3 days. He drives through the night when we're all asleep, and when he isn't driving, he makes sure he guards us when we sleep... lets be quiet for him." Saeko covered her lips with her finger. She would wake up in the middle of the night to see if Naruto was sleeping, and she had never seen him sleep. Naruto was pushing himself to the limits of what he would withstand for them.

'Why would he go so far... is this some kind of survivor's guilt... or he just this stupid of a person?' Saya was so confused. She didn't understand the logic behind it.

Why would somebody so willingly do so much for people he didn't know too well?

'Wait... does that mean he's been driving around looking for places all night when we're asleep.'

The RV came to a halt and everyone jerked forward.

"Okay everyone... I don't know where to go, so we'll just park here for now until Naruto wakes up." Shizuku was smart enough to realize that Naruto had her take over the driving, but he didn't give her a destination to go to. Everyone looked at her like she was stupid, and she noticed that everyone who had been sitting on a chair or on a bed, was not firmly planted on the floor.

A bra was on Naruto's head that had been on the bed.

...

Shizuku covered her mouth and tried not to laugh, so she picked up a skirt that was on the floor and put it over Naruto like a blanket. Others noticed what she was doing, and they started to join in on the fun as well as they grabbed clothes from the floor and placed them over Naruto.

"Just letting you know, I'm comfortable right now so I'm going to pretend you didn't just wake me up, and go back to sleep."

They could put all the panties and bras on him they wanted.

He was too tired to care.
