Chapter 6: Danny Phantom in Juban:The Search for the Sailor Guardians
Danny was now in the air, doing an invisible sweep of Juban. He also put on the necklace Clockwork gave him, in order to avoid the situation from last time, and in case he ran into another local who isn't fluent in English again. Hopefully he won't be encountering any more delinquents on this weekend trip/mission.
Anyway, the ghost boy looked at the necklace and felt relieved he can communicate with them now.
"At least this way I can say hi to them..."He thought as he flew around, being invisible to avoid being spotted.
He kept looking around for the Sailor Guardians, but soon found himself a little lost as he didn't how different Juban was compared to Amity Park.
He wasn't used to places this big.
As he flew, he thought about that tall girl who helped him and couldn't help but wonder about her.
"It was so cool the way she did that..."He thought but shook his head.
He needed to stay focused on his task at hand. He needed to find a certain group of girls, girls who wear short skirts and fight evil... and to be honest, that actually sounds really enticing to him. He smiled as he thought about getting to know them better.
"I so wish we had girls like those back home..."He thought as he began to smile to himself as he remembered how those girls looked.
Including the two that caught his eye.
Danny couldn't help but smile to himself as he kept flying, wondering who he would speak to first.
"Which one should I team up with if I get the chance? Jupiter? She's so tall and strong. Venus? She's got nice hair and blue eyes..." He considered as he thought about them.
However, he was too lovestruck to notice he flew into a flagpole, the impact making him forget to stay invisible.
"Ouch..."He let out as he rubbed his head.
He shook his head and saw he was visible again.
"Darn hormones..."He berated himself before he turned invisible once more.
He quickly shook off his embarrassment that thankfully no one else saw as he continued to search for the Sailor Guardians.
Meanwhile
Minako had just left the mall. Artemis followed her and the blonde girl was not feeling okay.
"Another one bites the dust..."She muttered, bitterly.
Artemis heard this and sighed.
"Mina, please focus on something more important, like training or some new strategies on how to proceed on dealing with our enemies..."He said as he knew that she was still upset over what happened a while back.
She saw some boy and went to make a move, only for fate to ruin her plans.
It had a repeating habit of doing that.
FLASHBACK
About half an hour ago
Minako was shopping, getting some new shoes and a new blouse to match with them.
"I know I saw them here the other day..."The blonde girl said, looking around as she tried to spot them. "They were suppose to be on sale today..."She said.
Artemis, who was in a basket, sighed at that.
"If only she put that much attention to her school work or Sailor Guardian training, then we'd have an easier time keeping Earth safe..."He said.
Minako heard that and before she could snap back, she saw something that caught her attention.
It was a boy.
He was tall, with dark brown hair, blue eyes and a dreamy smile. Immediately, the blonde girl forgot her current troubles and she complete forgot about her reason for being here as she had her thoughts on the boy.
"Oh my, what a hunk! And he's all alone!..."She thought with hearts in her eyes as she ran out of the store.
Artemis saw this and groaned.
"Here we go again..."He thought as the blonde girl went to the boy.
She was about to reach the boy, only for another girl to walk up to him.
She is a pretty redhead with teal eyes, in a green dress and a matching sunhat. She giggled and smiled at the guy.
"There you are..." She said.
"Sorry to keep you waiting..." He said before they shared a kiss.
At that moment, Minako turned white and froze up. The couple didn't even notice her as they walked away, not even looking at her direction as they kept staring lovingly at one another. They carried on, unaware of the blonde's existence.
She didn't even pay attention to the world around her until Artemis came out and poked her heel. He was a bit concerned as she has been unresponsive for about 20 seconds.
"Hey... I found those shoes you were looking for..." He said, trying to snap her out of it.
Crying in a comical manner, she nodded.
"At least that's a relief..."She said before she went back in the store, slouching in defeat.
End Of Flashback
Present Time
"Strike three... this week at least..."Minako muttered under her breath while the white cat tried to console her.
"Don't let it get to you, Mina. There's always tomorrow. Plus, it's just like my favorite saying goes, There's plenty of fish in the sea..."Artemis told her and the blonde girl sighed.
"If you say so, Artemis..."She muttered, still feeling down at her current relationship status.
She was getting tried of almost every cute guy she meets being either taken, too old for her, different orientations or they just weren't interest in her or in dating.
She was still upset, letting her mind drift to something else, thinking of what she would do after finding her perfect guy for her. She even wondered if she could keep him for long, given how she had trouble even as Sailor V.
"Even if it worked out, how do I explain I'm also a superhero?..."She thought, taking a deep breath.
She would love to meet a great guy who wasn't just nice but also open to her being Sailor Venus, a guy who would even support her heroics and heroism... maybe fight alongside her to battle evil and even go out after.
"Odds of meeting that kind of guy is next to nill. Heck, I bet even my next crush will probably be a droid or something..."She said in a negative way.
She decided to go home and call her friends so she could let out a few rants and maybe talk about other stuff, if she's up to it.
She had little idea of what was in store for her and her friends soon.
Elsewhere
Danny had spent about an hour, trying to find the Sailor Guardians but couldn't even find someone in a skirt that short. A very rare occurrence when he's not doing it to find a date.
Though right now, it's getting as stressful as trying to find a date.
"How hard is it to find girls in sailor uniforms in the middle of Japan, for crying out loud?..." Danny asked himself.
He sighed as he looked at the city from above. it looked every bit like a bigger city than Amity Park. He saw people going on with their lives, cars driving by and walking down the streets, hand-in-hand.
"At least the city looks peaceful up here..."Danny thought to himself.
He was about to keep going, only to noticed something happening a few yards away.
He saw someone lost control over his car as it wouldn't slow down and kept bumping into some other motor vehicles. Then suddenly, one of his tires blew open. The ghost boy gasped and he knew what it meant.
"Oh my gosh! Someone's in trouble..."Danny exclaimed as he quickly sped up.
He became invisible again and flew in the direction of the scream. Just because he is in another country, on some mission, it doesn't mean that he'll ignore people in need of help.
Anyway, the ghost boy quickly saw the end result of a car crash. He saw one driver trapped inside thanks to his car now upside down.
That's when he flew in for the save.
Danny phased the man out of his seat. The guy was unconscious and had a few bruises, but thankfully didn't seem to have any serious injuries, as far as the ghost boy noticed.
"Okay, he'll live..."He said as he helped the man laid down peacefully on the ground, making sure that he's not spotted by others.
That's when the ambulance was heard, the ghost boy took off.
"Good..."He whispered as the paramedics took the guy away on a stretcher and then place him in the ambulance, in order to get him to the hospital.
The ghost boy was about to resume his search. However, that's when he heard it, another loud cry for help in Japanese.
"Huh? What now?..."Danny thought as his natural sense of heroism kicked in.
He saw a fire truck going down the street. He looked up and saw a large plume of smoke.
"Even all the way on the other side of the world, a hero's work is never done..."The young halfa said to himself, as he immediately flew to the scene as fast as he could.
He saw the people crowding. He heard the sirens. Turning the corner, he saw the burning building.
"Some ice blasts should take care of this flaming mess..."Danny thought as he readied himself to fire his ice powers.
The ghost boy then began to charge.
"One shot should freeze it..."Danny thought before he began to charge his attack. "This should be easy..."He thought to himself before he heard it.
A woman was calling out to the firemen. He listened. Thanks to his necklace, he could understand her.
"My dog is still in there!..."A woman shouted as her apartment was on fire.
"The fire's too strong!..."Another person shouted.
The ghost boy saw that there were people inside and realized that he could've frozen them alive. He dodged a bullet but realized that he had to help them fast.
"Oh man...I gotta hurry..."Danny thought as he went ahead with the rescue.
Since he is not exactly known in Japan as far as he knew, he rather keep a low profile and avoid any unwanted attention from the media.. So, the ghost boy became invisible and phased through the smoking and fire.
Danny flew to the top floor, working his way down and saving those who couldn't escape the fires. After a while, he got them out.
"Alright, that's all the people that were stuck inside. Just this one lady left and then the dog..."He thought as he brought the last resident to safety.
Once the ghost boy phased out the helpless resident out of the burning building and made sure that the woman was safe, Danny, still invisible, went back to rescue the woman's pet dog.
"Come on Fido, give a me clue to find and get you out of this place!..."He thought as he flew through the room.
However, as he was about to phased into the next room, he heard the sound of barking
"That must be the dog..."Danny thought as his natural sense of heroism kicked in.
He became invisible again and flew in the direction of the barking. He then saw that the dog was on the rooftop, where the flames were slowly reaching.
Since he is not in Amity Park, he rather keep a low profile and avoid being spotted. So, the ghost boy became invisible and entered the building.
"Hello? Dog? Uh... can you hear me?!..." Danny called out.
That's when he heard a bark before being tackled off the floor. He saw it was a rather big dog, a Japanese Mastiff, and it looked rather peaceful despite the fire.
"There you are..."The ghost boy said as the dog licked Danny's face.
"Okay! Okay! Lemme get you out of here..." Danny said with a chuckle.
Once he knew the dog was safe and the woman was reunited with him, Danny, still invisible, left.
She didn't know what happened, only relieved that her dog was safe and now out, as were the others whom the ghost boy saved from certain doom.
"Well that's one problem solved. Now back to finding those girls..."He thought.
With the crises averted and done with, the ghost boy soon took to the skies again, in order to find the Sailor Guardians and this mystery threat.
