Chapter 23: Identities Revealed!: Two Sides to Every Person
Things were quiet as all the teenage heroes tried to process the dual discovering made this evening.
Danny was still processing the fact that Makoto Kino, the girl who he has come to like a lot, was also Sailor Jupiter, a superhero that he had a sincere yet complex admiration for.
Jupiter, on the other hand, was stunned to learn that her new friend Danny Fenton and her new ally Danny Phantom were one and the same.
"Wait...Danny Fenton...Danny Phantom?! How did I miss that?!..." Jupiter thought, resisting the urge to slap herself.
They were both quiet, but it was Venus who finally broke the silence.
"Wait?! Danny?! What are you talking about?! You don't mean-..." Venus asked, stunned at the realization.
Danny and Jupiter snapped out of their shock and stared at one another.
"Jupiter... is Makoto?! No way!..." Danny said.
"And you're Danny...the other Danny...aren't you?..."Makoto said, rubbing her eyes to make sure she's not seeing things.
"Uh… hi..." Danny said.
"Wait...just to be clear...you're that same cute, black haired Danny from before...right?..." Minako asked, just to be clear. "The guy I recall so my memory never stops being happy?..." She asked.
"It's "Recall it as often as you wish, a happy memory never wears out"..." Mercury corrected.
Danny flinched before got a closer look to the blonde girl.
"Wait...blonde hair...red bow...thinks Danny Fenton is cute...says phrases wrong? You're Minako?!...Danny exclaimed, making her flinch.
"Uh...maybe?..."Venus answered sheepishly. "But we are right, aren't we?..." She said, looking determined.
Since the cat was already out of the bag, the ghost boy saw no point in keeping up the charade.
Reluctantly, Danny changed into his human form. The girls, cats and Tuxedo Mask were witnessing it themselves.
"Wow..." Venus said, her face turning red.
"It's really him...I can't believe it!..." Jupiter said, both girls sharing the same glance at each other.
Their friends were there too, surprised and recognizing him.
"Wait... you're... you're Danny Phantom?..." Mars asked, jaw dropping.
"Yup..." Danny went, before he got a closer look at her.
"Wait...that long raven hair...that judgy look in the eyes and an attitude that makes you less pretty. Let me guess...Rei?..." He guessed.
Mars flinched, surprised he figured it out. She was silent.
"That would mean the other two, unless I am way wrong here...you guys are Usagi and Ami, right? And that little girl...is your cousin right?.." Danny asked.
"Wow. How did you guess?..." Usagi asked.
"No one ever recognized us..." Ami went.
"Are you some kind of mind reader too?!..." Chibi Usa went.
"No, but those hair styles are pretty distinctive now that I think about it..." Danny said, not sure how else to describe it
"Distinctive?..." Ami asked wondering if that was a compliment or not.
"So...am I on the money or is there another group of friends that include a tall brunette, a blonde with a bow in her hair and, I can already guess the answer for this one, short blue hair?..." He asked, wondering if he should metaphorically spin the wheel and guess again.
The girls sighed, while the cats glared at them.
"He already knows. We may as well share since we also know his his secret identity too..."Usagi told Luna, who looked mad.
Danny was confused.
"Why is she talking to her cat like that?..." He wondered as he saw the girls change back to their civilian identities.
"If this were a game show, I'd have one a million bucks..." Danny thought, as he eyed the changes.
"Wow...you girls really give a whole meaning to term wardrobe change..." He commented, as they were all slowly coming to terms with knowing each other's secret alter egos.
He then spotted Tuxedo Mask and frowned.
"Let me guess, Mammal guy?..." Danny snarked.
"It's Mamoru..." Tuxedo Mask responded rather angrily.
"Right...so, what? Are you their Super secret butler like Alfred for Batman?..." He snarked.
This comment caused some members of the Sailor Guardians to giggle at that and tried to quiet down any laughter, which also caused some annoyance to Mamoru.
"No, I am not their bulter! I happen to be the guardian who represents Earth! And if anything, I'm certain that I am the one on top..." The other male hero said in annoyance.
"Could have fooled me with that outfit..." Danny snarked.
"Now listen here-..." Tuxedo Mask tried, but both Usagi and Makoto stepped in and glared at them.
"Mamo..." Usagi nagged, non verbally warning him to step down.
"Please stop that, no matter how funny it is..." Makoto said as Danny flinched.
"This is unexpected..." Chibi-Usa said while Tuxedo Mask changed into his civilian form.
The girls were still processing this discovery.
"You know...I thought the number we got looked familiar..." Minako said as she looked at her phone.
"Huh... y'know, come to think of it... Danny Fenton, Danny Phantom, they sound too alike not to be the same person. How come no one else pointed that out before me?..." Usagi asked.
Hearing that caused everyone to stare at her in disbelief.
"She pieced that together before we could?!..." They all thought.
"Why didn't you say anything?..." Ami asked.
"Because I thought you'd all that out like it was a coincidence and that I was off..." Usagi said absentmindedly.
"... she's not wrong..." Rei muttered.
"A rarity where she figured it out before we did…" Ami says.
"I didn't think humans besides us had powers..." Minako said to her cat, who nodded.
"Neither did we..." Artemis said.
"I don't think this was something we encountered before..." Luna said, paw at her face.
Danny heard this, then immediately went silent for another moment before he reacted to the sudden realization that he was just listening to two cats talk all of a sudden.
"THEY CAN TALK?!..."Danny shouted, surprised at that.
"Whoops..."Artemis said as Luna facepalmed with her paw.
"Usagi being right and we made a MASSIVE mistake… not our finest hour..." Luna said, all while the ghost boy was looking at the cats like he's never seen anything more stranger yet fascinating than this.
"How is this happening?..." Chibi Usa thought as the ghost boy was still marveling over this.
"You can talk?..." Danny asks before it hit him.
He then turned to Artemis, recalling something.
"And you could understand me all day?!..."He was recalling all the baby talk he did to the cat earlier and was now embarrassed by it.
"Yeah. And I don't like being talked to like a toddler...or being called Arty..." Artemis grumbled before he heard chuckling from Luna.
"It's not that funny!..." He snapped.
"Whatever you say... Arty..." Luna went before being unable to stifle her laughter any further.
The ghost boy was still staring at them.
"You'd think I'd be numb to odd stuff like this by now, like the cat I helped out earlier with my powers could talk..." He commented.
"Wait? What?.." Jupiter asked, the girls and Tuxedo Mask turned to Artemis.
"Did you know that?..." Minako said to her cat, who saw no point in denying.
"Yes. I wanted to tell you girls but it kind of slipped my mind..." Artemis said while Luna glared at him.
"It's going to be a long talk..." Luna said in disappointment at his slippery mind.
As Artemis laughed nervously at this, Danny was still staring at the two.
"I'm still having a hard time processing all this..." Danny said, still digesting it all.
"So are we..." Makoto said.
The ghost boy looked at her and was at a loss at this revelation.
"But... how did I not see this before? You and Mina have the exact same eye color, skin tone, hair color and even hairstyles as Jupiter and Venus. Did the addition of mini skirts somehow hypnotize me or something?..." He asked, wondering how he didn't figure out earlier.
"No, it w-..." Makoto paused. "Huh... how do we avoid being recognized?..." She asked.
The other girls drew blanks before slowly looking at the cats. Both of them shared the same blank expression with each other.
"Perception filter?..." Luna asked.
"Humans are that thick?..." Artemis asked, but even he didn't sound so sure about that.
"That doesn't sound very confident..." Danny pointed out.
"You're not wrong..." Artemis said.
Minako begin to pout a bit before speaking her own mind.
"He turns into his own palette swap like a fighting game character, what's our excuse?..." Minako asked, slightly getting on Artemis' nerves.
The white space cat responds with a grumpy stare at orange dressed Sailor Guardian. That's when the one who goes by Tuxedo Mask clears his throat loudly.
"I think we're getting a little off topic..." Mamoru said.
"We are?..." The Sailor Guardians question him.
"We should ask... what kind person is he? Like... how is able to do what we've seen him do..." Mamoru clarified.
"That's a good point..." Ami said.
"I'll admit, I have been wondering that since the day he show up..." Luna said, as she stared at the ghost boy with an analytical look.
"So... what are you?..." Artemis asks, out of genuine curiosity.
"I don't like your tone in saying that... Arty..." Danny responded flatly.
Luna snickered at that, much to Artemis' embarrassed anger.
"Fine... how are you able to do what you do?..." Artemis asked, a little more politely but was laced in attitude.
"Well, now that you worded more nicely..." Danny snarked before he started.
The ghost boy then began to tell the Sailor Guardians, Tuxedo Mask and the space cat his origin story and didn't leave anything out.
10 minutes later
"... and then I saw told the town it's not Inviso-Bill, it's Danny Phantom. So, yeah... you got the basics..." Danny finished.
At first, the Sailor Guardians were silent as if they hadn't heard a word. Then they reacted, one at a time.
"A human being a ghost?!..." Ami said, shocked and fascinated.
"What kind of crime against nature and humanity did your parents turn you into?!..." Rei asked, more shocked that Danny was an accidental lab experiment.
"Excuse me, my parents didn't do this on purpose. And I think your both missing out on the part where I using my powers for good, after said lab accident!..." Danny said, not liking how she said that.
Most of the Sailor Guardians took in a deep breath and slowly exhaled in unison. They didn't want to think that their intention was to break the rules of life and death and grant powers to people.
"Please excuse Rei. Sometimes she can say mean things without meaning to..." Usagi said in a sheepish way.
Rei glared at her.
"Excuse me?! I'm not the one who cries all the time or keeps forgetting important stuff like that magic Pen Luna gave you for disguises! Seriously, how could you lose that?!..." The dark haired girl snapped.
Usagi glared at that.
"And sometimes she's just mean!..." Usagi snapped.
The two glared daggers at each other, but Makoto stepped in between them.
"Girls, not the time!..."She said.
"Yeah, I have more things I wanna ask him..." Ami said.
"Oh right. I have some questions too..." Usagi said, mood doing a 180.
Danny saw this and raised a brow.
"Wow...emotional..." He thought while the girls asked him more questions.
"So are you half-dead or is there like ghost juices flowing inside you?..." Minako asked.
"Where do your legs go when you do that tail thingy when you fly fast?..." Usagi asked, prompting everyone to gawk at her for asking such a rather strange question.
"What? I'm curious..." She defended herself.
"First, not really. Second, I have no idea, I don't really have all the answers..." Danny responded, shrugging at the same time.
"Wow, you're just as clueless as we are in our powers. I figured you'd know your powers well. I guess that saying is right. you can't always judge a book's pages..." She asked.
"It's "you can't judge a book by its cover", Mina..." Rei corrected with an annoyed sigh.
"Well, you can say it like that too..." Minako said with an embarrassed smile.
"That's the ONLY way you can say it..."Ami said while sighing.
Danny saw this, and couldn't help but chuckle lightly.
"I'm starting to find that kind of adorable..." He thought, as a certain tall girl whom he was fond of spoke up.
"So... here's a bigger question..." Makoto got, getting his attention. "Namely... were you toying with me and Minako?..." She asked in an accusing and even hurt kind of way.
"What?!..." Danny exclaimed.
"You said you liked someone else...but you never brushed off neither Mina or Venus...or me..." She said, looking upset about it.
Danny heard this and changed his tone into a much more serious one.
"I swear...I had no intention of playing four girls...which I know now was in fact two...not that I wanted to play two girls.. I'm not a two-timer, I swear!..." Danny said, trying his to clarify things.
The tallest Sailor Guardian in green slightly raised an eyebrow and stared deeply into the ghost boy's eyes. It took seconds before she slightly softened.
"So you're not using us?..." Makoto asked.
"No! Not at all! If anything I was trying to avoid people thinking I was. I'm not used to have 2 girls liking me at once and being open about it, much less four in a love hexagon!..." Danny said, being as truthful and honest as he can be.
"Hexagon?..." Makoto and Minako asked in unison, sounding rather confused by that remark.
"Because I thought it was four girls I was finding myself attracted to, now I find it's two..." He answered.
All the Sailor heroes did a collective "OH!" after realizing what the ghost boy meant. Until their leader spoke up and commented on it.
"So, it's less a love hexagon and more a love triangle..." Usagi said.
Rei wanted to insult her, but mentally did the math in her head and came to the conclusion.
"You're actually right..." She admitted.
"Right...because Danny believed he had four admirers, but he actually has two..." Mamoru ponders, before an idea sprung. "...unless..." Usagi, Rei and Ami shook their heads in disapproval.
"Got it..." He said.
"So, you're not in a love hexagon, just a love triangle..." Ami commented, wanting to clarify things for everyone.
"I-I guess so. Not that I meant for things to go this way at first..." Danny said, while one of his admirers suddenly spoke up in celebration.
"This is perfect! I don't have two great guys I like! I have one!.." Minako gushed.
"Mina..." Artemis got her attention.
"Not the time." He went, gesturing to Danny and Makoto, the latter more annoyed with her than the former, who is just remaining silent.
"Oh... eheheheheh..." Minako laughed nervously.
"In any case..." Makoto said before her attention went to Danny. "You have some explaining to do..." She said, still mad about something.
"Me?..." He asked, wondering what the problem was.
"Yes. You hid an important secret from m-US! From us, about who you really are. That's not exactly something easy to overlook..." She said.
"Okay... let's backtrack here, Makoto. I didn't know you were Sailor Jupiter. Would YOU have told me you were a superhero too?..." Danny questioned her.
Makoto hesitated to answer.
"He's not wrong..." Minako said, only to see Makoto frowning at her. "What? It's not like I'd have told him I was Sailor Venus..." She added.
"No... because your mouth was too busy being on his!..." Makoto said with an annoyed grunt.
"Heheh... I'm guessing since we know he's the same guy... you're probably extra mad at me now, huh?..." Venus went, pulling back.
Makoto took in a deep breath.
"Seeing as how you kissed him and we didn't know he was the same guy, I will let it slide... just this once..." Makoto said, sending a warning glare to her friend who brushed it off.
Danny then cleared his throat loudly.
"So... about that kiss and what I said before... any chance we can bring up a certain thing we talked about yesterday? Between you and me?..." He said, wanting to clear something else up.
Hearing that brought a look of epiphany to Makoto's face as Minako studied their discussion closely.
"What's this? Is there a secret between you in the elephant's room?..." She asks, sounding suspicious.
"You mean is there an elephant in the room, right?..." Everyone but the two said to her.
"Oh... yeah... that too..." Minako said with a sheepish smile.
Jupiter was still processing what he said.
"Yesterday...he mentioned a tall girl who he liked...that I reminded of...when I was...wait..." She thought, as it hit her like a ton of bricks.
Could it be?
"Wait...you mean?..." Jupiter asked, almost shyly as she gestured to herself.
Danny nodded, and the tall girl was blushing now as she realize what he meant. Her anger from earlier was now forgotten.
"So... the girl you mentioned to me that you like. Was that... me? So, I'm this "Lita" you spoke of?..." Makoto asked.
"You are. I... I like you..." Danny said warmly, happy to tell her finally.
"You do?..." She asked, surprised.
"Ha! I knew it! I told you he liked you, Mako-chan!..." Usagi said, only to receive glares from the others.
"What? I did!..." Usagi defended.
"Usagi, not the time..." Luna said.
Usagi pouted, while Danny and Makoto continued their series conversation
"You like me? As...Jupiter me...or...ME me?..."She asked, shy.
"Both...but mostly you you..." Danny said, blushing now.
Although Makoto blushed more upon hearing that, Minako got a bit too close to Danny, her cheek pressing against his.
"What about me? You like me too, right?..." She asks eagerly.
"Uh... y-yes?..." Danny went nervously.
"As Venus me...or ME me. I am fine with either answer..." She said as she fluttered her eyes at him while Makoto glared daggers at her.
"Uh...both...I guess?..." He said nervously.
"Works for me..." Minako said cheerfully, still linking arms with Danny.
Everyone else sighed.
"You gotta give her this much, she doesn't give up easy...unless it's homework..." Artemis muttered.
"I heard that!..." Minako snapped, while remaining close to Danny.
That's when one other Guardian remembered something.
"Wait... Minako said she shared a kiss with Phantom. You kissed her?..." Makoto asked, almost in accusation.
"SHE kissed ME! I mean... it's not like it was the worst experience ever... but on a scale of 1 to 10 when it comes to who I like, you're a 10 and she's an 8. I like you and want to spend time with you way more! Honest!..." He said quickly, only to realize too late that Minako heard the whole thing and wasn't happy.
"Wait... I'm an 8?!..." Minako asks, feeling a bit insulted. "I showed you the best crepes in town and flirted heavily with you! I even intentionally had my foot go up your leg!..." She pointed out.
Danny slightly inched back.
"I won't lie... you made it hard to think..." He said, blushing uncomfortable as he remembered that event.
"So you do like me? And the kiss?..." Minako went, becoming cuter and more charming in a split second.
"Well... I can say it's in my top 2..." Danny admitted sheepishly.
"But I'm the person you mentioned you wanted to see before we knew each others secrets..." Makoto pointed out.
"Yes..." Danny went.
"So... you do like me?..." Makoto asked.
"I do..." Danny said with a smile.
"Wow. I'm really happy to hear that..." Makoto said with her cheeks turning pink.
"And...do you?..." Danny asked, almost afraid he wouldn't like the answer.
Makoto sent him a smile.
"I do... I do like you..." She answered.
"Really?..." He asked, feeling his heart skip a beat or two.
Makoto nodded.
"Yes. I like you. I've liked Danny Fenton even before getting to know Danny Phantom..." She said meaning it.
Hearing this made Danny feel warm in his heart.
"Wow..." He said, thriled that he and the girl he wanted to speak with have mutual interest in each other.
Makoto smiled at that before deciding to address the elephant in the room.
"So... who do you like more? Me... or Minako?.." She asked, wanting to know the truth.
Danny froze up as Minako inched closer to whisper in his ear.
"Say me and I'll introduce you to the best places for cake in town. I'll even let you hold my hand and go with me to the beach with the cutest swimsuits..." She said.
"Minako!..." Everyone said to her as a warning.
Minako flinched before laughing it off.
"I mean... totally your choice..." She went, trying to play it off.
"Right..." Rei said, not buying it.
"This is why my literature teacher at cram school discourages love triangles. They get messy..." Ami said.
"Especially when superheroes are involved..." Usagi said.
Minako wrapped her arms around Danny's right arm.
"I've fawn over Danny Phantom longer and I technically went on a date with him already, so I call dibs!..." She went.
Makoto wrapped her arms around Danny's another arm even tighter.
"I met him first and I'm the one he wanted to see, so I'm the one who calls dibs!..." She said competively.
Both girls glared at each other, snarling as it seemed like sparks of fury and rage were being set between them.
Danny looked in a mixture of fear and attraction.
"This must be why Archie could never choose between Betty and Veronica... it's scary... but also kinda... hot..."He thought.
"So... should we stop this?..." Ami asked, gesturing to the two who were playing tug of war with Danny's arms.
"I kinda want this to stop... but also don't..." He admitted.
Mamoru would have criticized him, but considered what he just said.
"I suppose two girls who are deeply in love with him, who are now fighting for him is a luxury most men dream of experiencing..." He said while shrugging.
"True. Other men aren't that lucky..." Artemis agreed.
It was then they noticed the other females glared at them.
"Uh...err...not us..." They said, sweating in mild fear.
"For goodness sake..." Luna said, irritated.
"Not your finest moments..." Chibi Usa said, also irritated to hear such a thing.
That's when they were all reminded of the situation at hand.
"Mine!..." Minako went.
"Mine!..." Makoto went.
"MINE!..." Minako went.
"MINE!..." Makoto went.
"Okay... the novelty's wearing off. Might come back later..." Danny said with a flat look on his face as he phased his arms out of theirs. "... but not right now..." He massaged both arms while glancing disapprovingly at the two.
"Sorry..." They said in unison, realizing that they got carried away.
"Okay... there has to be some easier way to see who I want to be with more without ripping my arms off?..." Danny suggested.
"Why not try both?..." Usagi asked.
Everyone looks at her like she was crazy.
"What? Date two girls at the same time? I'm not sure I can do that..." Danny said.
"Would be interesting..." Minako said as she scratched her chin, much to everyone's surprise.
Especially from Danny and Makoto.
"What? I'm open..." Minako said defensively.
"Not that!.." Usagi went with a shocked look on her face. "I mean... go on one date with Mako-chan, another with Minako-chan, then see who you want to be with the most..." She suggested.
"Usagi, that's-..." Rei was about to mock the idea, only for her to have second thoughts. "Actually... that might be a good idea..." She admitted.
"You mean like a dating game?..." Chibi Usa asked and Usagi nodded.
"I suppose that's an effective way to determine whose company he desire more..." Ami said.
"I do have my moments..." Usagi said with a proud smile.
"You've had 2 in the span of an hour. This is the weirdest day of my life…" Rei muttered.
"So, what do you think?..." Usagi asked, ignoring Rei for once.
"Wow...this turned into a direction that I wasn't expecting it to head into...but, I'm not against this..." He thought, while the girls kept waiting for his answer.
"Well...uh...I guess that can work..." He said, hoping he can at least pick who to go with first.
"I call first date!..." Minako went with her arm up.
"No! I do!..." Makoto went.
Both girls glared at each in the eyes, sparks of fury starting between them, before Danny cleared his throat.
"Makoto was the first one I met so... I think she should be first..." He said.
Makoto smiled in relief as Minako pouted.
"No fair... I was the first to kiss you..."She whined.
"Actually..." Danny went with a flustered look on his face.
"Actually...?" Minako asked.
"I tripped as Sailor Jupiter and we kissed... by accident..." Makoto went.
Everyone else gasped.
"WHAT?!..."
"You kissed and you didn't even tell us?!..." Usagi went, sounding upset she didn't see it.
Or the fact that one of her beast friends didn't inform her or the others about this incredible news until now.
"Well...My first kiss... was an accident..." Makoto went with mild disappointment, while she gently touched her lips and lightly blushed at being reminded of that incident.
"What?! No fair! Why were you the first to kiss him?!..." Minako whined like a child.
"Sorry?..." Makoto went with a shrug.
Minako pouted childishly.
"Okay, as funny as this is... how did all of you get your powers?..." Danny asked.
"Huh... I guess it's only fair we give you a recap since you told us about your story..." Ami said.
"It all started wi-..." Luna spoke up, only for Minako to block her view of Danny.
"Actually, the important part starts with me, as Sailor V!..." Minako said, much to everyone's ire.
"I thought you're Venus?..." Danny asked.
"AHEM!..."Luna cleared her throat loudly. "We should start with before that..." She went.
"Maybe just give him the basics, he doesn't have to know every detail. Otherwise, we'll be here a whole 24 hours..." Ami suggested.
"Fair enough..." Luna said before looking at Danny.
"Listen, boy. You're about to be told something more humans are not meant to know, so listen well..."She began.
Cut to 20 minutes later
Luna had just finished giving him the basics.
"My brain hurts..." Danny said, massaging his head.
"I thought we agreed simple?..." Artemis asked.
"Well... the part about where Chibi-Usa came from was kind of important..." Luna defended herself.
"I think that part took too long..." Chibi-Usa said, though the still didn't know the whole truth.
"So you're all alien princess who got reincarnated...and you all team up to fight evil while also juggling school, your personal lives, responsibilities and dating?..." Danny asked, still processing this.
"Pretty much..." Makoto said.
"Wow...and I thought my life was complicated..." Danny said.
"It's pretty complicated being a reincarnated princess and superhero to boot..." Makoto said.
"How do you make it work? Do your families know? Where did the cats come from? Don't your legs get cold, what with having them bare, even at night?..." Danny asked.
"We're just lucky..." Ami explained.
"No they don't..." Minako said.
"We're actually aliens that look like cats..."Artemis said.
"Sometimes..." Usagi said, gesturing to her own legs.
Before Danny could ask anymore questipns, both Makoto and Minako got close to him again.
"If you wanna know more, feel free to ask me...maybe over a smoothie? My treat..." She said in a flirty tone, while Makoto glared at her.
"Minako! What is wrong with you?!..." Makoto snapped.
"You're just jealous I asked him first. Gotta be proactive..." Minako said with a smirk, while the taller girl glared at her.
Danny gulped as the two girls started yanking him arms in a game of tug of war.
"This is probably the hottest...and scariest thing I have ever gone through. Granted, I don't want it to stop..." He thought as both girls kept trying to pull him away from the other
However, someone grew impatient with this teenage cliché and also recalled more important matters.
"Hey! Everyone!..." Luna got their attention. "Did we all forgot the real reason he's here? Not to decide which out of two Sailor Guardians is he falling in love with, but a certain invading force?!...She reminded.
"R-Right... was distracted by these two... and not for the reason they would want..." Danny said with a slight hint of bitterness as he gestured his arms, making the two laugh nervously.
"Plan your dates later. We should find where that knight went, maybe he can lead us to whoever or whatever is in charge of this invasion?..." Artemis asked.
"Good thinking..." Luna said and, as Artemis nodded at this, she decided to use her new weapon of mockery.
"...Arty."
"GAH!..." Artemis went as everyone else failed to stifle their laughter at this.
"Stop calling me Arty!..." He shouted.
"This makes all the trouble we've gone through lately almost worth it..." Luna snickered.
Artemis/Arty responded with silence and a very cat like glare at Luna, while everyone did their best not to giggle at the comedic exchange between these two space cats.
Danny would have to worry about which of his two admirers does he want to be with more later, since there is evil to find and stop.
As they all were amused by this, Chibi-Usa saw this and was unsettled by it as she had no record of Danny Phantom being involved with either Jupiter or Venus, much less have kids with either of them.
She knew even less about the Sailor Guardians making a such a personal alliance with anyone fitting Danny Fenton/Phantom description before.
"How is it that I was never told of this? Mama and Papa and Pluto NEVER mentioned this Danny Phantom or Fenton or whatever his real name is...how did time turn into direction?..." She thought, wondering what is going on with the timeline.
Elsewhere
In a location far away from our heroes, the surviving locci had arrived. There, he was met with one other survivor, one who looked rather amused to see him.
"I see that you are here and yet no drop of blood is on your blade. Let me guess, those Sailor maidens kicked the stuffing out of you?! Thank goodness losing to a lovely damsel is something knights are known for..."Majisho snarked.
Zecalibur glared at him.
"How about I spill a drop of your blood?!..."Zecalibur snapped.
Before the two loccis could break into a fight, someone raised their arm from a throne in the darkness.
"BOTH OF YOU SHUT UP!..." Was heard.
Both loccis turned around and were faced with a figure in the shadows, glaring at them.
"King Regalis!..." They both said in a more respectful tone.
"I didn't come all this way to ensure the Sailor Guardians are destroyed just so you two can bicker like children!..." He shouted.
"But he failed!..." Each said, pointing to each other.
"You BOTH failed! Neither of you get to call the other out!..." The king of the loccis said.
"Yes, my king..." They said in defeat.
"Now... let us discuss what went wrong, shall we? Who is that boy in black and white?..."The king said.
"I know not, my king. Our records showed no evidence he was ever in Japan..." Majisho said.
"Clearly... something happened when we got here..." Zecalibur said.
"That matters not... nothing's changed, our goal is the same..." The king said in a menacing tone.
"But what of his punishment, my king?..." Majisho asked.
"Or his?..." Zecalibur questioned.
"I don't want to hear anymore excuses from either of you two. Find a way to destroy this new problem and eradicate the rest of the sailor guardians..." King Regalis said, before stepping closer to his subordinates with a menacing glare in his eyes.
"Do not fail me again! Or you will face dire consequences!..." He shouted.
"Y-yes, your highness..." His minions said, still bowing to him.
Regalis got up and turned away, not wanting to talk to them further.
"The sooner they pay, the better..." The king of the Locci thought, determined to get revenge on those guardians and their ally.
One who was never meant to be here, or get in his way.
Meanwhile
In the Ghost Zone
Clockwork and his guest witness the entire exchange, both from the heroes and villains.
"As you can see, things are progressing smoothly..." The time master said.
"I beg to differ, given how the enemy has yet to be destroyed..." His guest said, sounding wary.
However, the time master sent her a confident and knowing smirk.
"You have nothing to worry about, Danny Phantom will be of aid..." He said.
"How? By fathering children with Jupiter and Venus, then adding them to their forces?.." His guest questioned with sass.
Clockwork gave her a light chuckle before motioning to the monitor.
"Wait and see..."He said.
Clockwork's lovely guest crossed her legs and proceeded to watch the time gear monitor with intrigue.
"So far, all I see is a boy causing a love triangle… let's hope you change my mind…If not, you know what will happen..."She said.
"I know, but then again. I know all..." Clockwork said smugly, while his guest rolled her eyes.
The two continued to watch the events unfold on the screen, knowing that more challenges await the young heroes.
