"Yeah?" Johnny Zacchara answered his cell phone on the last ring, grabbing his phone from his bedside table.
"Is that Spencer girl keeping you up? You know, you still have duties to this family." Johnny's sister's voice rang through the other line, the annoyance was clear in her tone.
"I'm at Crimson Pointe, I'm not even with Lulu. You know how I feel about you talking about her when you don't even know Lulu. What do you need?" Johnny stood up from his bed, getting some clothes out of his chester drawers.
"John, I will never respect that girl. If you have to date someone, why can't you go for that Maxie Jones girl? She would be good for you." Claudia urged him, though it fell on deaf ears.
"I don't like Maxie, you can't tell me how to live my life Claudia. You know what? I don't care what you wanted from me, I'm taking the day off." Johnny promptly hung up on his sister, quickly dialing Lulu's number.
"Hello?* Lulu Spencer answered the phone as she stepped out of Kelly's Diner, completely late for work.
"Hey pretty girl, are you at work?" Johnny noticed that his girlfriend sounded distracted.
"I haven't even made it to Crimson yet, a lot of stuff happened. Elizabeth slept with Nikolas and there is all of this fallout...I don't know how to deal with it, honestly. With my luck Kate has already fired me." Lulu rolled her eyes, pausing to take a sip of her large iced coffee.
"I'm surprised you're even alive, Kate runs a tight ship. I noticed that your brother and Elizabeth's marriage wasn't exactly rock solid but, my money was on Jason. Not that I thought Elizabeth would cheat on Lucky but, there were signs. I was calling to ask if you wanted to get out of town for a while? It sounds like you could use the distraction." Johnny had known that Elizabeth and Nikolas were close but, he wouldn't have ever thought they'd sleep together.
"I know, right? I knew that things were shaky but, I always thought it would be Elizabeth and Lucky in the end. Maybe it still will be, just not right now. Oh Johnny, can we really just pack up and go somewhere else?" Johnny could tell from the tone of Lulu's voice that she really wanted to go.
"Hey, my father is in a coma... I've got nobody threatening my happiness right now. Claudia and Trevor are getting along just fine without me, why not? I know you've always wanted to leave this place. Why shouldn't we? Name the destination, babe." Johnny smiled, already packing a bag.
"We can travel just like my parents did! Except maybe without being on the run from the law, very Bonnie and Clyde. We should go to Seattle! I've just gotta go home and pack a few things. You should go by and see my dad." Johnny could practically see Lulu bouncing up and down in his mind.
"Yeah, we'll check off running from the law later. I'll go and see him right now." Johnny slung his bag over his shoulder, leaving the house and speeding out of the driveway. After hanging up with Lulu, Johnny headed over to The Haunted Star and walked into the main room of the boat.
"Ahh Young Zacchara, it's always a pleasure to see you. I could use some good news." Luke Spencer slightly smirked, walking towards him.
"What makes you think I've got good news, Luke?" Johnny chuckled.
"Because you're dating my daughter?" Luke asked, they both shared a chuckle.
"I wanted you to know that me and Lulu are leaving town for a while. I know that she's always wanted to travel, I've been stuck here too. It's time for a change." Johnny knew that Luke would know if Lulu just left.
"And how excited is my cupcake?* Luke knowingly smirked.
"So excited that she's not going to work." Johnny shrugged his shoulders.
"You two kids deserve a chance at a good life, I love Tracy with all of my heart but...if Laura were here, I'd go on the run with her again in a heartbeat." There was a certain tone of melancholy to his tone, a far away look sat in Luke's eyes.
"You really loved Laura." Johnny stated.
"I think I always will. We had our faults and we didn't have the most conventional start but, we had a life together. We were married, we had two beautiful children together. It's not fair that she isn't comatose, she deserves to know her children and to live her life. More than anything, I just want her to wake up and enjoy being awake...not to have to worry about relapsing." Luke slightly shook his head, it was clear that he still had very strong feelings for Laura.
"I want you to know that I'll take care of your daughter, I won't let anything happen to Lulu." Johnny met Luke's eyes.
"Lulu looks just like Laura did at that age, too bad she gets most of her traits from her old man." Luke chuckled.
"Your daughter is an amazing woman, I can't believe I've got the pleasure of calling Lulu my girlfriend." Johnny smiled, Lulu turned him into a romantic mess.
"I know you'll take care of my daughter, you always have." Luke shakes Johnny's hand.
After Lulu got off the phone with Johnny, Lulu knocked three times on her cousin Carly's door.
"Aren't you supposed to be at work?" Carly arched an eyebrow, rubbing her stomach.
"Aren't you supposed to be resting?" Lulu asked.
"Please don't tell Jax, I know I'm supposed to be on strict bed rest...it's just so damn boring!" Carly whined, sitting on the couch.
"Johnny And I are leaving Port Charles for a while, I didn't want Sonny and Jason to send out any search parties. By the way, can you tell them for me?" Lulu put on her best smile.
"Where are you two going?" Carly slightly chuckled.
"Seattle. I don't know where else we'll go or if we'll settle there but, I think this will be a good thing. You're not mad, are you?" Lulu sighed, grabbing Carly's hand.
"That's a big step in your relationship! Hell no I'm not mad at you, I am happy for you! If I was young and beautiful I wouldn't have chosen to stay in Port Charles, you two deserve to have fun. After I have the baby, we'll come and visit you. By the way, will you be my baby's godmother?" Carly embraced Lulu.
"I'm not staying around for Sonny's reaction, screw that. That will be fun but, please promise me that you'll take things easy. You want me to be baby Jack's godmother? I'd be honored! That makes me feel like a real adult!" Lulu squeezed Carly back.
"Lulu, you've been an adult for three years now. You are like my best friend, I'm going to miss you so much. I wouldn't stay for Sonny's temper tantrum either, screw that." Carly chuckled, watching as Lulu checked her phone.
"I shouldn't keep my knight waiting." Lulu smirked, giving Carly a hug goodbye and leaving to go to The Haunted Star.
"Dad?" Lulu called out, seeing Johnny and Luke talking beside the bar.
"Hey sweetheart, you two should be heading out soon. Shouldn't you?" Luke smiled fondly at his daughter.
"Yeah, it is a drive. I just wanted to come by and say goodbye, I know Lucky's going to be mad that I didn't come and see him but... he'll have to get over it." Lulu sighed, hugging Luke.
"Cowboy will be alright, I'm not going to let him drown in sorrow gumdrop. All you two kids need to worry about is having fun."
