The second chapter is here early. Enjoy!
Minor Spelling or Grammar Mistakes may be found, it's a huge chapter so I definitely missed some things.
Chapter 2: Lost Memories
A few days have passed since Yuuji joined the You Show Duel School, and he's got to say, it's been pretty fun. While Yuya and the others went to high school, Yuuji typically spent his day exploring Maiami City. When classes were over, Yuuji would meet his friends right outside of their school, where they would chat while they made their way to the You Show Duel School.
However, recently, he noticed that Yuzu seemed to be acting weird. Both towards himself and Yuya. While he hasn't known her for long, she just seemed too out of it for it to be normal.
"Alright, class," Shuzo addressed his students, "Today we'll be going over the different summoning methods."
Shuzo went on to explain the summoning methods he's had experience with, mainly Normal, Special, and Advance Summoning. While this was all stuff Yuuji already knew, he did learn a few of the more basic things he was lacking.
Though, not everyone was as focused as he was.
Yuuji turned to his left, watching Sora fuse different ice cream flavors. It was extremely distracting since the youth was right next to him but…watching Sora eat sweets made his stomach grumble.
Maybe a little snack wouldn't hurt.
Yuuji pulled out a packet of gummies, grabbing a red and blue gummy from it.
"With these two gummies in my hand, I construct the overlay network…" Yuuji silently chanted as he squished the gummies together, turning them into a purple glob. He hummed a whirring sound as he tossed the gummy into his mouth.
Yuzu and Sora noticed this but had different reactions. Sora looked at the youth with a serious expression for a moment before returning to eating his ice cream. Yuzu on the other hand had a conflicted expression on her face she then abruptly stood up to ask a question.
"Dad, what about Xyz?" Yuzu asked.
"Xyz? Yuzu, you know we don't teach Xyz here at this school." Shuzo answered.
"Oh, right…" Yuzu was about to sit back down when Yuuji raised his hand.
"I can explain Xyz Summoning for her, Shuzo—senpai" Yuuji volunteered.
"That would be great," Shuzo approved as Yuuji made his way to the front of the class.
"Okay, what do you guys already know about, Xyz Summoning?" Yuuji asked the class.
Tatsuya raised his hand, "I know that you need two or more monsters with the same level to Xyz Summon."
"That's correct, Tatsuya. Full marks!" Yuuji praised the blue-haired boy before continuing. "Like he said, you need two or more monsters with the same level to Xyz Summon. Then you would stack the cards on top of each other and place your summoned Xyz Monster on top. What we would call an overlay. And when a monster is Xyz Summoned, it's given a Rank instead of a Level, meaning they can't be affected by card effects that target monsters with Levels."
Ayu raised her hand, "Wait…does that mean that Xyz Monsters aren't just level 0?"
"Yup, that's right, Ayu-chan," Yuuji nodded, "As I said, they're given a Rank instead of a Level."
Yuuji then grabbed a piece of chalk and drew on the chalkboard. It was an image of a dragon.
"When a monster is Xyz Summoned, depending on the number of materials used for the summon, the Xyz Monster gets a certain amount of Overlay Units at its disposal, which is the key for most Xyz Monsters to activate their effects."
Yuuji drew a few orbs around the dragon.
"To activate the effect of an Xyz Monster, you need to destroy one of its overlay units. Once an Xyz Monster runs out of overlay units, it won't have access to its effects unless stated otherwise."
Yuuji stopped drawing.
"There's one other thing you may need to know, and it's the existence of Rank-Up-Magic Spells."
Sora tensed up at the mention of the card, glaring daggers towards Yuuji. Yuuji didn't seem to notice as Shuzo spoke up simultaneously.
"Rank-Up-Magic…I've never heard of that before," Shuzo said from the side.
Yuuji pulled out his deck, taking out the Spell Card, Rank-Up-Magic Pendulum Ascension.
"When a Rank-Up-Magic is used on an Xyz Monster, you can Special Summon an Xyz Monster one rank higher from your Extra Deck. Chaining Rank-Up-Magics allows one to summon higher-ranked Xyz Monsters without needing to first summon higher leveled Xyz Monsters."
Yuuji then put the card away and erased the chalkboard.
"That's pretty much the basics to Xyz Summoning. There are other smaller facts about the summoning method, but you don't have to worry about them much," Yuuji concluded, "Any other questions."
Yuya raised his hand, "Wait, does this mean that you really can use all of the summoning methods?"
"Yup," Yuuji nodded, "Even Ritual Summoning as well, my personal favorite."
"That's amazing!" Ayu said in awe.
"To think we have such a powerful duelist teaching us right now, it gives me the shivers!" Futoshi shouted as he did a little dance.
He might need to get himself checked out, that can't be normal. Yuuji sweatdropped.
"Thanks for the lesson, Yuuji," Shuzo thanked him, "I wouldn't have been able to do such a thing myself."
"No problem," Yuuji smiled, "Teaching others about duel monsters is fun."
"Could you have been a teacher before you lost your memories?" Shuzo proposed.
"Maybe…however—"
"There's no way Yuya would do such a thing!" They heard Gongenzaka shout from outside the school.
"Gongenzaka!?" Yuya shot up and quickly made his way outside, with the rest following shortly behind.
When they arrived outside, they immediately noticed Gongenzaka, who was standing in front of three male youths.
"What's all the fuss about?" Shuzo asked Gongenzaka.
"I was just going on my daily stroll when I noticed these three hanging around the Duel School," Gongenzaka explained, "I decided to confront them, and they said that Yuya had ambushed them yesterday night! It's complete blasphemy!"
"Ambused!?" "I did!?" Shuzo and Yuya respectively shouted.
"That's right," One of the three male youths said, "I hope you didn't forget!"
"We saw it with our own eyes after all!" Another youth continued.
"There are four…no, five witnesses!" The final youth announced. "Sawatari-san, us, and that girl over there."
Everyone turned to see where he was pointing, locking eyes with Yuzu.
"Isn't that right, Hirragi Yuzu-chan!" The three said in unison.
"Is that why you were acting so weird today?" Yuuji asked with a shocked expression. "Did you really see Yuya?"
Shuzo was absolutely horrified, "This can't be, there has to be some kind of mistake!"
"There's no mistake," One of the males said, "Sawatari-san, the son of the soon-to-be Mayor, was assaulted by none other than Sakaki Yuya!"
"Stop lying!" Futoshi cried out.
"Yeah, there's no way Yuya-oniichan would do that!" Ayu protested.
"There isn't any other possibility," Another male spoke. "It has to be Sakaki Yuya."
"It's not me though!" Yuya cried out. "There has to be some kind of mistake."
"I agree," Yuuji nodded, "Maybe it's a lookalike of Yuya. If it's happened once, who to say it can't happen again?"
"Such a thing isn't possible, it's either Sakaki Yuya or…" The third male pointed directly at Yuuji, "...it's you! Those are the only two possibilities!"
"Huh?!" Yuuji's eyebrows shot up, his mouth slightly agape in disbelief. "Don't pin the blame on me now!?"
"You're the most suspicious out of the two options, we've never seen you around!" They continued. "A mysterious duelist suddenly appeared with Yuya's face, only you could fit that description."
Yuuji was about to say something in response, but before he could, a limo pulled up to the school. Arriving on the scene were two people, a tall woman with purple hair who wore a pink blouse, and a dark-haired man wearing blue glasses, who wore a black suit.
"You're from LDS," Shuzo immediately recognized the woman.
Yuuji also recognized the woman. He had done a prior web search before, in hopes of learning anything about his past and more about his surroundings.
"That's correct." The woman confirmed. "I'm Akaba Himika, the Chairwoman of LDS. May we take this inside?"
They didn't have any leverage in the situation to say no, so they complied with her request. They all made their way back inside You Show, with Shuzo and Himika sitting on opposite couches. Himika began discussing her plan, which was making use of Sawatari being attacked in order to leverage a position where LDS could take over You Show to acquire Pendulum on top of regaining their lost pride from the encounter.
While Shuzo wanted to refuse this proposal, he had no choice but to accept if he wanted to clear both Yuuji's and Yuya's names, as well as protect the You Show Duel School. The rest of the You Show students had the same idea, all coming to a decision, especially after Yuya's short speech about You Show and Pendulums.
"It seems your student's feelings are in line with each other," Himika noticed.
"Mine are as well," Shuzo stated, "We won't…"
[...hand over the You Show Duel School.] They all said in unison.
"It seems we have no other choice then…" Himika said after a long sigh. "Shall we begin?"
Everyone made their way to the arena, where the rules were explained by Himika. It would be a three-on-three match, with the first to two wins winning the match.
"So then, who will be going first on your side?" Himika asked.
"Me—!"
"I will." Yuuji declared, much to Sora's disappointment.
"Are you sure, I thought you wouldn't feel like dueling today too?" Yuya asked.
"Yeah, I'm sure," Yuuji smirked, "Oh, and if you're worried about me losing, don't worry. I promise to bring victory to You Show."
"Right," Yuya put out his fists, with Yuuji doing the same. The two then fist bump each other as Yuuji steps forward.
"But I really wanted to duel!" Sora whined before Yuzu dragged the teen away by the ear.
"That's enough out of you, just let him have this," Yuzu said.
"As for you're opponent…" Himika stepped out of the way as a purple-haired teen wearing clothes of a similar color stepped forward.
"A student from LDS's Xyz Course, Shijima Hokuto," The purple-haired youth introduced himself. "And you are…?"
"Haruki Yuuji," Yuuji returned the greeting.
"Shijima Hokuto…" Tatsuya pulled out his laptop and did some searching with Futoshi standing right beside him, however, when he pulled up what he was searching for, his and Futoshi's eyes widened.
"58 duels and 53 wins!?" Futoshi exclaimed, "How is that possible!?"
"That's over a 90% win rate!" Tatsuya cried out.
"He's also top-ranking in all of his tests and exams!" Futoshi said.
"He's even favored to win the Maiami Championships," Ayu added. "Yuuji-oniichan might be in trouble!"
Everyone eventually cleared out of the arena, with Shuzo making his way to the control room while the rest made their way to the viewing area.
"Our students were trained to handle any situation," Himika boasted, "You can choose whatever Action Field you want."
"Alright then, how about this!" Shuzo pressed a button, transforming the arena. "Action Field on! I activate the Field Spell Cosmic Sanctuary!"
The area around the two duelists transformed into a sanctuary that floated in the middle of the deep expanses of space. There was a massive crater around the platform that the two duelists were standing on, with platforms that connected to other areas of the floating island.
Hokuto suddenly laughed, "I can't believe it, he chose a field that I happened to be an expert on."
"What!?" Shuzo froze in shock, turning to stone as he fell to the ground.
"Since his name is Hokuto, aka Big Dipper, anyone with a brain could've figured that out," Sora commented.
"It doesn't matter to me whether or not this field gives you an advantage…" Yuuji stated as he activated his duel disk, "I don't plan on losing."
"Confident are we?" Hokuto smirked as he activated his duel disk as well. "I take it that you've participated in a lot of duels, am I right?"
"Nope…" Yuuji smiled. "This is actually the second time I've dueled. But I did manage to win my only other duel."
"Huh?" Hokuto was dumbfounded for a moment before he burst out laughing. "I can't believe it, you guys really sent a newbie to duel me. Are you guys even taking this seriously?"
"Save that talk until after you beat me," Yuuji replied, "I'll show you just how terrifying this newbie can be."
"Duelist locked in battle!" Hokuto started chanting, much to Yuuji's confusion.
Oh right the chant, let's see if I got it this time.
"Kicking the earth and dancing in the air alongside their monsters!" Yuuji continued.
Nailed it!
"They storm through this field!" Ayu said from the stands.
"Behold!" Futoshi continued. "This is the newest and greatest evolution of Dueling!"
[Action—!] The three younger You Show youths shouted together.
[Duel!] Everyone shouted in unison.
Yuuji — LP: 4000
Hokuto — LP: 4000
"I'll start," Hokuto announced, "I summon Constellar Algiedi (Light/Spellcaster/Effect/ATK: 1600/DEF: 1400/LV: 4)!"
A knight in silver armor appeared on Hokuto's field.
"Constellar?" Yuzu commented. "I've never heard of that archetype before."
"They're an archetype that can summon a variety of Xyz Monsters ranging from Ranks 3 through 6." Tatsuya informed, "However, from what I could see, he's never made use of his Rank 6 monster at all."
"When this card is successfully summoned, I can Special Summon a Level 4 Constellar Monster from my hand! Appear now, Constellar Acubens (Light/Machine/Effect/ATK: 800/DEF: 2000/LV: 4) in defense mode!"
An armored machine with giant claw-like arms appeared.
"Two Level 4 Monsters," Yuuji muttered, "He's about to do it."
"With my Level 4 Algiedi and Acubens, I construct the overlay network!" Hokuto declared as his monsters are sucked into the black vortex that appeared in front of him. "Brilliant star of the beehive, shine brightly as you descend! Xyz Summon! Rank 4, Constellar Praesepe (Light/Machine/Xyz/Effect/ATK: 2400/DEF: 800/R: 4/OU: 2)!"
A humanoid machine plated in golden armor appeared on the field.
"Hmph," Himika smirked, "Just as expected from him. A beautiful Xyz Summon."
"I set two cards and end my turn," Hokuto concludes.
"My turn! Draw!" Yuuji drew a card. "With Scale 3 Mirror Maker and Scale 8 Maiden of Broken Mirrors, I set the Pendulum Scale!"
"What!?" Hokuto exclaimed as two Pendulum Zones appeared behind Yuuji. A small fairy with a hammer and a maiden dressed in all black holding a mirror in her hand rose into each zone.
Somewhere, hidden from the view of the rest, a grey-haired young man with red glasses, wearing a hoodie, silently watched the events with intrigue.
"Now I summon monsters Levels 4 through 7 all at the same time!" Yuuji declared. "Shine, Pendulum of Destiny! Draw an arc across the ether, and reflect onto me a path to victory! Pendulum Summon! Appear onto my field, Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon (Dark/Dragon/Pendulum/Effect/ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/LV: 7/SC: 4) and Antique Lost Soldier (Light/Fairy/Pendulum/Effect/ATK: 0/DEF: 0/LV: 4/SC: 5)!"
A purple dragon with bone-like armor and horns and a pristine toy soldier holding a rifle appeared on the field.
"Another Pendulum user?" Himika's eyes widened in awe. "So our hypothesis was correct…"
"I'm not done yet! I activate the Ritual Spell, Dawn of the Crest!" Yuuji declared. "With this card, I can Ritual Summon a Light Dragon Monster using monsters from my hand or field as long as they equal or exceed the Level of the Monster I'm trying to summon. I choose to tribute the Level 7 Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon along with my Level 4 Antique Lost Solider to Ritual Summon a Level 8 Monster!"
"Now a Ritual Summon!?" Hokuto's jaw dropped. A golden altar appears behind Yuuji, with his two monsters being turned into particles and absorbed into the shrine.
—BOOOOOOOM!
"What…what's happening!?" Hokuto struggled to maintain his footing as the ground beneath him began to shake.
Reiji's duel disk suddenly began to beep, with it showing him summoning energy readings that he had never seen before.
Suddenly, a giant pillar of light erupted from the altar, causing the whole arena to shake, as Yuuji began chanting.
"Brilliant dragon who has reached the peak of enlightenment. Burn all to ashes as you bring heavenly judgment to your enemies!" Yuuji then clasped his hands together as his eye color began to change into an amber color. "I Ritual Summon! Arise, Level 8! The mighty dragon that judges the souls of the fallen, Nirvana Crest Ritual Dragon (Light/Dragon/Ritual/Effect/ATK: 2800/DEF: 2000/LV: 8)!"
The pillar of light gradually fades, its radiant energy absorbed into a massive dragon cloaked in deep blue scales and bare, ethereal wings. As the last traces of light sink into the creature, golden energy flows into the gaps of its wings, illuminating them with a radiant brilliance and casting a faint aura around its form. Its eyes ignite with an amber glow, mirroring the intense color that had overtaken Yuuji's own gaze. Located at its center was a golden core that was protected underneath metal parts.
"Oh my goodness," Yuzu commented in awe, "It's so beautiful."
"So this is Yuuji's Ace Monster…" Yuya said with a similar amazement. Unknown to him, inside his deck, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon was glowing, and his chest began feeling tighter.
"Nirvana Crest's effect now activates!" Yuuji declared. "When my dragon is Ritual Summoned using only monsters that were on my field, all monsters on my opponent's field lose 500 ATK for each Special Summoned Monster on both of our fields! Since that number is two, your Xyz Monster loses 1000 ATK!"
(Constellar Praesepe — ATK: 2400 → 1400)
"Battle!" Yuuji shouted. "Nirvana Crest Ritual Dragon, attack Constellar Praesepe! Enlightenment Ray!"
Yuuji's dragon begins to glow an intense yellow, shooting out rays indiscriminately towards Hokuto's monster.
"Praesepe's effect now activates!" Hokuto declared. "During the battle step, when a Constellar Monster is battling or targeted for battle, I can increase its ATK by 1000 until the end of the Battle Phase!"
(Constellar Praesepe — ATK: 1400 → 2400)
"But your monster is still destroyed!" Yuuji shouts as Hokuto's machine is annihilated by the attack, sending Hokuto flying back a few meters from the ensuing shockwave.
Hokuto — LP: 4000 → 3600
"I end my turn," Yuuji concluded.
"My turn! Draw!" Hokuto drew a card a smiled. "I summon another Constellar Algiedi (ATK: 1600/DEF: 1400/LV: 4), allowing me Special Summon Constellar Klaus (Light/Beast-Warrior/Effect/ATK: 1800/DEF: 700/LV: 4)!"
The armored warrior and a new monster that was an armored centaur holding a bow appeared on Hokuto's field.
"Next, I activate Klaus' effect, allowing me to target up to two monsters on my field, and either increase their Levels by 1 or decrease their Levels by 1! I choose to increase Klaus and Algiedi's Levels by 1!"
(Constellar Algiedi — LV: 4 → 5)
(Constellar Klaus — LV: 4 → 5)
"Naive!" Yuuji cut in. "Nirvana Crest Ritual Dragon's effect now activates! Once per turn, I can target a Level 5 or higher monster on your side of the field, and equip that monster to my dragon. I choose to equip your Constellar Klaus! Heaven's Judgement!"
The core located on Nirvana Crest's stomach began to glow as a golden rope shot out from the dragon's body, wrapping around the centaur before dragging the monster next to the dragon.
"I activate my set Quick-Play Spell, Constellar Duplication!" Hokuto shouts. "When my opponent activates a monster effect that removes one of my Constellar Monsters from my field, I can target another Constellar Monster I control, and create a Constellar Token that matches that monster's level!"
[Constellar Token (Light/Machine/Token/ATK: 0/DEF: 0/LV: 5)]
"Now with my two Level 5 Monsters, I construct the Overlay Network!" Hokuto announced as his monsters are absorbed into the vortex once again. "Light of the stars, shake the earth and descend! Xyz Symmon! Appear, Rank 5! Constellar Pleiades (Light/Warrior/Xyz/Effect/ATK: 2500/DEF: 1500/R: 5/OU: 2)!"
A brilliant warrior with silver armor with golden highlights, brandishing a gold staff for a weapon appeared on the Xyz Duelist's field.
"Constellar Pleiades effect now activates!" Hokuto declared. "Once during either of our turns, I can detach one overlay unit, and return one monster on the field back to the hand. I choose to return your Nirvana Crest Ritual Dragon!"
Pleiades waves its staff, unleashing a wave of energy that hits Nirvana Crest Ritual Dragon, destroying it.
"When Nirvana Crest is destroyed or returned to my hand, all monsters that are equipped to it return to their original owners," Yuuji stated.
Constellar Klaus, the centaur, returns to Hokuto's field.
"Now Yuuji–oniichan is completely wide open!?" Ayu exclaimed.
"And Hokuto's monsters have more than enough ATK to wipe out all of Yuuji's Life Points," Tatsuya added, "Doesn't that mean that Yuuji just loses."
"He has to go for an Action Card," Yuya said, "It's his only way out of this. But, he's not doing anything."
Yuya was right in his assessment, as Yuuji just stood in his spot, not even trying to look for any Action Cards.
"I, the man Gongenzaka, remember Yuuji expressing dislike for Action Cards after his duel against you, Yuya," Gongenzaka replied. "Yuuji doesn't plan on moving for any Action Cards."
"How tragic…" Himika commented, "It seems like this duel will be coming to an end."
"Battle!" Hokuto declared. "Constellar Klaus, attack Yuuji directly!"
The centaur cocks its bow back, shooting an arrow towards Yuuji. The grey-haired youth managed to narrowly jump out of the way, but in the end, was sent flying by the shockwaves caused by the arrow exploding.
Yuuji — LP: 4000 → 2200
"Now to finish this!" Hokuto shouted. "Constellar Pleiades, attack Yuuji directly and finish this duel!"
Pleiades leaps forward, winding its golden staff back as it prepares to finish Yuuji off.
"Not so fast!" Yuuji countered. "I activate Mirror Maker's Pendulum Effect! Once per turn, during the Battle Phase, when I'm about to receive damage from an attack, I can reduce the battle damage I receive to 0, and bounce the damage I would've taken back to you!"
The little fairy flies down from its Pendulum Zone, creating a giant mirror that sucks the warrior in, before spitting it out towards Hokuto. In response, Hokuto quickly traversed around the stadium using Klaus as his mount, grabbing an Action Card that was lodged inside a pillar.
"I activate the Action Spell Stellar Barrier!" Hokuto played an Action Card. "With this card, I can reduce the effect damage I receive to zero for the rest of this turn."
A barrier appeared around Hokuto, protecting him from his monster's redirected attack.
"With that, I end my turn," Hokuto said, "Great job surviving there, I would've been disappointed if I finished you off too fast."
"Don't act cocky when you had to rely on an Action Card to save your ass," Yuuji scoffed, "So much for being an LDS Elite."
"Why you…" Hokuto gritted his teeth.
"My turn! Draw!" Yuuji drew a card. "With my current scale, I Pendulum Summon! Return from the Extra Deck, Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon (ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/LV: 7/SC: 4) and Antique Lost Soldier (ATK: 0/DEF: 0/LV: 4/SC: 5)! And from my hand, I summon Antique Phonograph (Light/Fairy/Pendulum/Normal/ATK: 0/ DEF: 0/ LV: 4/SC: 6)!"
The purple dragon with bone-like armor and the toy soldier, along with an antique record player appeared on the youth's field.
Okay, time to be smart about this… Yuuji began brainstorming. I can't summon Nirvana Crest right now, and even if I could, he has a bad match-up against Xyz Monsters. Hmm…
Yuuji thought about it for a second more, before coming to a decision.
Alright, I got it. If this doesn't work, I should still be safe. Yuuji concluded his thoughts.
"Maiden of Broken Mirror's Pendulum Effect now activates!" Yuuji announced. "Once per turn, I can target a monster on the field, and make its level equal to that of another monster on my field. I choose to make Antique Phonograph's level the same as Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon (Phonograph — LV: 4 → 7)!"
"Two Level 7 Monsters…" Hokuto muttered before his eyes widened in realization. "...wait, don't tell me you're going to—!"
"That's right!" Yuuji interrupted. "With my Level 7 Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon and my Level 7 Antique Phonograph, I build the Overlay Network!"
His two monsters turn into energy as they are absorbed into a black vortex. A pillar of light erupted from the portal as Yuuji began chanting.
"Cruel black dragon relentless in its slaughter. I now call upon one of the most dangerous of dragons! Xyz Summon! Appear now, Rank 7! Dark Anthelion Dragon (Dark/Dragon/Xyz/Pendulum/Effect/ATK: 3000/DEF: 2500/R: 7/SC: 10)!"
A dragon with a fierce, intimidating presence, bolstering a dark, armor-like body that combines shades of deep purple, black, and metallic silver. Its armor is decorated with vibrant green and magenta orbs that glow ominously. Large, jagged wings extend from its back, each adorned with circular green and purple accents, resembling high-tech shields or weaponized extensions. The dragon let out an intimidating roar that caused Hokuto's monsters to back away in fear.
"Now Maiden of Broken Mirror's second Pendulum Effect activates," Yuuji stated. "Allowing me to draw 1 card whenever a Pendulum Monster is Xyz, Synchro, or Fusion Summoned onto my field."
Yuuji drew a card.
"A monster that's both a Pendulum and Xyz Monster?" Reiji's eyes widened. "To think such a thing was possible."
"Damn, what has gotten into you guys?" Hokuto looked at his monsters confused, however, he was also sweating from the dragon's intense presence. "I—I activate Pleiades' effect, returning your dragon back to where it came from!"
Pleiades waves its golden weapon once again, destroying Yuuji's dragon.
"I end my turn," Yuuji simply concluded, much to the shock of everyone watching.
"Wait, that it?" Yuzu was dumbfounded. "I thought he was going to make some genius play here?"
"Pleiades' effect was just something he couldn't play around," Gongenzaka tried to explain the play, "And Yuuji is a new duelist, no matter how talented he is, he can't make up the difference experience brings in a duel."
"But he sure as hell can get close…" Sora silently muttered from the side. "It'll be difficult for me to deal with him when the time comes."
"It seems that I foiled your attempts to do something once again," Hokuto smirked. "Now you have nothing that could stop me from finishing you off this turn!"
"Just play your cards," Yuuji picked his ears with an uninterested expression, "If I have to listen to your incessant boasting for another second, I might just tear my ears off."
"Fine then, if that's how you want to play, I'll bite," Hokuto gritted his teeth. "My turn! Draw!"
Hokuto smiled as he saw the card he drew.
"I activate the Spell Card, Constellar Retaliation!" Hokuto declared. "When this card is activated, I skip my next draw phase. However, in exchange, I can Special Summon two Constellar Monsters from my graveyard!"
[Constellar Algiedi (ATK: 1600/DEF: 1400/LV: 4)]
[Constellar Praesepe (ATK: 2400/DEF: 800/R: 4/OU: 0)]
"Now I'll show you just how terrifying an LDS Elite can be," Hokuto stated with a serious expression, "I activate Klaus' effect, both it and Algiedi's Levels by 1!"
(Algiedi — LV: 4 → 5)
(Klaus — LV: 4 → 5)
"Now with my two Level 5 Monsters, I construct the Overlay Network!" Hokuto declared as his monsters were absorbed into a vortex. "Light of the stars, shake the earth and descend! Xyz Symmon! Appear, Rank 5! My second Constellar Pleiades (Light/Warrior/Xyz/Effect/ATK: 2500/DEF: 1500/R: 5/OU: 2)!"
A second warrior in silver and gold armor, holding a golden weapon appeared.
"Now thanks to Constellar Ptolemy M7's effect, I can Xyz Summon it using a Constellar Xyz Monster on my field as material!" Hokuto declared. "I now overlay my Constellar Praesepe to build to Overlay Network once again!"
His golden machine is converted into energy and absorbed into the vortex as he begins chanting.
"Rain down your dazzling light, terror birthed in the vast vacuums of space!" Hokuto chanted. "Xyz Summon! Appear, Rank 6! Constellar Ptolemy M7 (Light/Machine/Xyz/Effect/ATK: 2700/DEF: 2000/R: 6/OU: 1)!"
A machine dragon plated in silver and gold armor much like Pleiades appeared on Hokuto's field.
"An Xyz Summon using an Xyz Monster…is that just like the Rank-Up-Magic that Yuuji taught us earlier today?" Tatsuya stated.
"It's not," Sora shook his head as he pulled out a lollipop from his pocket and bit down on it, "Some Xyz Monsters are able to be Xyz Summoned when certain conditions are met. A Rank-Up-Magic allows you the rank a monster up without the need for specific conditions."
"I now activate Ptolemy's effect, allowing me to return 1 monster on your field back to your hand!" Hokuto declared, as his machine dragon began glowing, destroying the toy soldier.
"Damn…" Yuuji cursed as he began running. "...I'll bite, an Action Card would help me a lot right now when I think about it. And he already used it once to cheese his way out of one of my attacks so I don't have to feel guilty about it."
Yuuji hopped from island to island, locking his sights on an Action Card that was wedged in between the brick walls of a ruined building. However, before he could reach it…
"Not so fast!" Hokuto said with an evil look on his face. "I activate my set Continuous Spell, Constellar Tempest! I can only activate this card when I control two or more Constellar Xyz Monsters on my field! Its effect is only applicable during the End Phase, however…using it right now allows me to seal your fate!"
Just as Hokuto finished saying that, a meteor struck the building Yuuji was going for, sending the youth flying.
"GAH!" Yuuji cried out as he hit the ground hard.
"Next, I activate Constellar Pleiades' effect, returning the Mirror Maker in your Pendulum Zone back to your hand!" Hokuto declared. "Now with this, you're absolutely defenseless! Ahahahahah!"
Hokuto began laughing as more and more of the floating arena was destroyed by meteors. Yuuji tried to avoid the meteors as best as he could, but he kept getting sent flying by the ensuing shockwaves.
"Stop this!" Yuya cried out in horror. "This isn't a duel at all! A duel should be all about smiles and having fun, it's not meant for this!"
"You shut your mouth!" Hokuto sneered at Yuya. "Dueling is for battle. And I'll do anything it takes to win! Battle! Pleiades, attack his Life Points directly and end his misery!"
"Now…" Yuuji struggled to stand on his feet, wiping the blood from his mouth as he saw Hokuto's monster charge toward him. "Now that you returned this card to my hand, I activate Mirror Maker's effect. By sending this monster from my hand to the banish zone, I can immediately end the Battle Phase!"
Before Pleiades can connect its attack, a little fairy appears in front of it, creating a barrier that protects Yuuji from the ATK.
"Tch." Hokuto angrily clicked his tongue before smiling. "I end my turn, and with the end of my turn, Constellar Tempest's effect now activates. With it, during the End Phase, you lose half your life point! Just give up! Give up! Give up! GIVE UP!"
Hokuto began maniacally laughing as Yuuji tried to limp himself away from the blast zone, managing to narrowly avoid direct contact with a falling meteor. However, the meteor exploded upon contact with the ground, sending Yuuji flying directly into a pillar and making him cough up blood. The force at which he hit the pillar almost made him lose consciousness.
Yuuji — LP: 2200 → 1100
"Yuuji!" Yuzu cried out for his friend.
"Don't look…" Yuzu blocked Ayu's eyes and comforted her.
"That sick bastard…" Gongenzaka was absolutely livid.
"Akaba Himika!" Shuzo shouted from the speaker. "Your student is going too far!"
"Hmph, it's an Action Duel," Himika stated, "As long as you don't kill your opponent, or permanently injure them, everything is fair game. It says it in the rule."
Shuzo silently pulled out a giant book, skimming through the rulebook. However, when he found that exact rule in the book, he frowned.
"If you're really concerned about your student, you should tell him to forfeit right now," Himika continued, "He will never in a million years be able to defeat Hokuto."
Shuzo wanted to say something in defense of Yuuji, but she was right. Yuuji was hanging on by a thread. If he isn't able to find an out this turn, he would lost the duel.
"So…this is how you duel," Yuuji said as he rose back on his feet. "A dueling style built on stopping your opponent from doing anything, while relentlessly beating them into the dirt with powerful monsters until they crumbled under the pressure."
"How cool, you read me like a book…" Hokuto sarcastically mocked. "What do you plan on doing with that information? You have no monsters on your field, my Pleiades can still return one of your monsters to your hand, and you have such a minuscule amount of Life Points. You can't make a comeback!"
"You'll see…" Yuuji smirked. "As long as I put faith into my deck, anything is possible."
Yuuji places his hand over his deck as meteors crash down on the area around him. He took a deep breath.
"My turn! Draw!" Yuuji's deck glowed as he drew with all his might. This is just what he needed. "I summon the Tuner Monster, Antique Resonance Mirror (Light/Fairy/Tuner/Pendulum/Effect/ATK: 0/DEF: 0/LV: 2/SC: 4)."
A pristine mirror appeared on Yuuji's field.
"Now Antique Resonance Mirror's effect now activates, allowing me to Special Summon an Antique Monster directly from my deck. Appear now, Antique Silver Rake (Light/Fairy/Effect/ATK: 1000/DEF: 0/LV: 5)!"
A rake made of silver appeared on the field.
"I now activate Silver Rake's effect!" Yuuji shouts. "When this monster is Special Summoned, I can target 1 monster on your field, and lower its ATK by 500 until the End Phase, I choose to lower your Ptolemy M7 ATK!"
The rake floats forward, clawing at the machine and reducing its ATK.
(Ptomely M7 — ATK: 2700 → 2200)
"What's the point of doing that?" Hokuto frowned. "You don't have any monster right now that can take advantage of that."
"You may be an elite student, but you're still naive," Yuuji commented, "I now tune my Level 2 Antique Resonance Mirror to my Level 5 Antique Silver Rake!"
"What!?" Hokuto cried out as the two monsters transformed into rings and orbs respectively, with the orbs lining up in a straight path before passing through the rings.
"Brilliant dragon that rides through sonic winds," Yuuji chanted, "Descend from the clouds and ravage all who stand before you! Synchro Summon! Appear now, Level 7! Clear Wing Fast Dragon (Wind/Dragon/Synchro/Pendulum/Effect/ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/LV: 7/SC: 4)!"
Appearing on the field was a brilliant flying dragon with shining white scales with green gemstones sticking out from parts of its body.
"A Synchro Summon!? That bastard, he's well versed in all of the summoning methods!?" Yaiba, the other student Himika had brought, exclaimed in shock.
"And since I Synchro Summoned a Pendulum Monster, I can draw 1 card," Yuuji drew a card.
"It doesn't matter, I'll activate Pleiades effect and prevent you from doing anything as I've always been doing!" Hokuto declared as Pleiades destroyed its overlay unit. However…
"You are an idiot…" Yuuji scoffed. "Clear Wing Fast Dragon's effect now activates! Once per turn, I can target a monster summoned from the Extra Deck, reduce its ATK to 0, and negate that monster's effect until the End Phase!"
Clear Wing Fast Dragon begins to glow, using its power to restrain Pleiades and stop it from activating its effect.
(Pleiades — ATK: 2500 → 0)
"Now it's really over!" Yuuji declared. "The monster you sent to my hand last turn will be your undoing! I set the Pendulum Scale with Scale 5 Antique Lost Soldier and the Scale 8 Maiden of Broken Mirrors that was already set in my Pendulum Zone!"
"What!?" Hokuto cried out as the toy soldier rose into the empty Pendulum Zone.
"Now I can summon monsters Levels 6 and 7 all at the same time!" Yuuji announced. "Shine, Pendulum of Destiny! Draw an arc across the ether, and reflect onto me a path to victory! Pendulum Summon! Return from the Extra Deck, Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon (ATK: 2500/DEF: 2000/LV: 7/SC: 4) and Dark Anthelion Dragon (ATK: 3000/DEF: 2500/R: 7/SC: 10/OU: 0)!"
The two dark dragons appeared on Yuuji's field. All three dragons began roaring in unison, causing Hokuto to take a step back in fear.
"No…there's no way!" Hokuto cried out. "I'm an Elite at LDS. I won 40 duels in a row! I can't lose to an amateur like you!"
"Battle!" Yuuji pumped his fist forward. "Dark Anthelion, attack his Pleiades! Dark Annihilation!"
Dark Anthelion charged a ball of dark energy, sending it down toward the weakened Pleiades, destroying it, and sending Hokuto flying. However, luckily for him, he landed right next to an Action Card.
Hokuto — LP: 3600 → 600
"Now here comes the climax!" Yuuji announced. "Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon, attack Ptomely M7 and finish this duel! Phantom Spiral Breath!"
Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon shoots a breath of dark fire towards Hokuto's Monster. At the same time, Hokuto revealed his Action Spell.
"I activate the Action Spell, Stellar Equalization! If I control fewer monsters than my opponent, I can immediately end the Battle Phase, and take control of one of your monsters! I choose to take control of your Dark Anthelion Dragon!" Hokuto declared. "Now, when my next turn comes around, you're finished!"
"Next turn?" Yuuji said with a dark expression. "There will be no next turn!"
Hokuto tried to play his Action Spell, but no matter what he did, it wouldn't work.
"Huh? But how…why can't I play it!?" Hokuto kept trying to play the Action Spell, but it wouldn't work.
"Antique Lost Soldier's Pendulum Effect prevents the activation of Spell/Trap Cards whenever a Pendulum Monster battles," Yuuji stated, "Meaning my attack still goes through!"
"Hah! So what!?" Hokuto nervously shouted. "Even if your Odd-Eye's attack goes through, you'll only deal 300 points of damage to me. And you won't be able to deal damage if you battle my final Pleiades with your Clear Wing—!"
"That's where you're wrong!" Yuuji interrupted as the orbs located all over Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon began to glow. "When Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon deals battle damage, you take additional damage equal to the number of Pendulum Monsters on my field other than Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon times 600!"
"Dark Anthelion and Clear Wing are both Pendulum Monster…" Yuya calculated. "That means…"
"In addition to the 300 you take from the battle, you receive an extra 1200 points of damage!" Yuuji declared. "Finish this, Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon!"
Phantom Dragon's attack grew stronger, engulfing Ptomely M7 along with Hokuto, and creating an explosion of smoke.
—BOOOOOOOM!
Hokuto — LP: 600 → 0
Winner: Yuuji
The Action Field dissipates, returning the two duelists back to the arena. Everyone quickly went to congratulate Yuuji, but before they could…
—Thud!
…Yuuji collapses onto the group, unconscious.
Yuuji woke up in an unfamiliar place, a hospital room. However, he soon realized that something was off. He wasn't inside his own body, in fact, he didn't have a physical form at all. He just floated in the room, unable to move, speak, or feel anything.
Strapped to a large amount of life support machines was a brown-haired teen with amber eyes. The youth looked very sickly, clinging to life by a thread.
A female doctor soon entered the room, giving a diagnosis on the boy's condition. She stated that the boy's body was rapidly deteriorating and that he didn't have much time left.
"I'm going to die, huh?" The youth bitterly smiled, tears slowly welling up in his eyes. "This sucks. Why did it have to be me?"
Yuuji could feel his chest tighten at the scene, though he didn't know why. The scene felt so familiar to him, yet not at the same time. He couldn't quite explain the feeling.
"While we are not able to save you, I can try and fulfill one final wish for you, as long as it's within my power," The doctor proposed.
"Yu-Gi-Oh…" The youth said with a sort of embarrassed look. "I want to open a Yu-Gi-Oh Pack, at least once."
"That can be arranged, give me a moment." The doctor quickly left the room. A few minutes later, she arrived with a card pack. "Luckily for you, I actually happen to be a collector of these things, so I had a spare pack lying around. Go on, open it."
She handed the youth the pack, who enthusiastically opened the pack. Yuuji couldn't quite see what kind of pack it was, but he did see the cards the youth had drawn.
Among a few irrelevant cards were five cards. Odd-Eyes Phantom Dragon, Clear Wing Fast Dragon, Starve Venemy Dragon, Dark Anthelion Dragon, and Nirvana Crest Ritual Dragon. Yuuji's main monsters.
How is that possible? Why does he have them? Yuuji wondered. Could it be, that my monsters originally belonged to him?
The doctor seemed to be just as shocked as Yuuji was, "How is that possible? Four Super-Rare cards and a card I've never seen before?!"
"Is that good?" The youth asked.
She quickly pulled out a phone, searching on the web for the card. However, she found nothing on it.
"A one-of-a-kind card? Incredible," The woman said in awe, "It's like you were saving up all your luck in life for this moment."
"Yeah *cough*, but I wish *cough* that I could've used that luck to save my condition *cough*." The teen began coughing more and more. The woman seemed concerned and quickly went to check the boy's vitals, which rapidly went down as the boy's condition deteriorated.
In the youth's last moment, he quietly muttered under his breath to the five cards he held in his hand. While it seemed like the doctor couldn't hear it, due to her panic as she tried to call for help, Yuuji did.
"If one day, in the next life, I get to duel with you guys, let's become the best duelists anyone has ever seen, okay—"
—Beep!
The teen flatlined, dropping the dragons from his hand down to the floor. The woman bit her lip and quickly dialed a number.
"My patient flatlined…room 205E…his name…Haruki Yu—."
Before Yuuji could hear the woman finish her sentence, everything went black.
Yuuji woke up once again, inside a room. The room the Yuzu and Shuzo-sensei lent him when they allowed him to live at their place. Yuuji quickly tried to move for his deck that was placed on the desk next to his bed but quickly regretted the action as he felt himself pull a muscle.
"Ahh…fuck!" Yuuji cursed out loud. A few moments later, Yuzu quickly opened the door to his room.
"Yuuji! You're awake!" Yuzu quickly made her wave over to the grey-haired youth. "How are you feeling?"
"Not well, I'll say," Yuuji said as he tried to soothe his arm. "But more importantly, what happened after my duel? Did I win? Did You Show get taken over? Have you confessed your feelings to Yuya yet—?"
Yuzu forcefully covered Yuuji's mouth.
"I'm going to have to stop you right there," Yuzu said. "As for your other questions, yes you won your duel. And no, You Show did not get taken over."
"Oh, thank goodness," Yuuji moved Yuzu's hand and sighed a breath of relief. "How did the duels go?"
"I…" Yuzu seemed to get depressed when speaking about it but continued anyway. "I lost my duel against their Fusion User, and Gongenzaka tied against their Synchro User."
"Wait…" Yuuji began calculating on his fingers. "1 win, 1 loss, and 1 tie. Wouldn't that make the duel between us a draw? Is that why You Show wasn't taken?"
"No, there was one other duel," Yuzu answered. "Yuya went against Akaba Reiji and—"
"Akaba Reiji!" Yuuji shot up from where he was sitting, before immediately sitting back down after letting out a hiss from the pain.
"Yeah?" Yuzu sweatdropped at the youth's antics. "Do you know him?"
"I do." Yuuji nodded, "I did a bunch of research for the past few days I was here. He's a pro duelist who also happened to be in charge of the Leo Corporation after his father, Akaba Leo, strange disappearance."
Yuuji then clenched his fists.
"To think I was knocked out when I had a chance to see him duel! I swear when I get my hand on that Hokuto, I'll—!"
"Reiji used Pendulum Summoning."
"What?" Yuuji's jaw dropped. "Wait, how is that possible though? I thought Pendulum was Yuya, and I guess my thing? I don't mind other people using it, but for someone to have access to Pendulum Summoning without even having to use my or Yuya's cards as a reference directly is shocking."
Yuuji then thought about Yuya.
"Yuya already seemed shaken when I used Pendulum Summoning, but he could write it off as a weird coincidence," Yuuji continued, "But for someone else to have access to it, he must be devastated."
"He was," Yuzu confirmed, "But, Otou-san managed to knock some sense into that idiot's skull a few days ago."
"That's good…wait, did you just say a few days ago!?" Yuuji's eyes widened. "How long was I out?"
"A good five days, if you had stayed asleep for another or two, we might've thought that you were put in a coma."
"..." Yuuji tried to stand up once again, but quickly sat back down once again. He clenched his fists once again, a fire igniting in his eyes. "That bastard is really going to pay now! Five precious days were whisked away from me like nothing, and he gets away unpunished!"
"I mean, if you want to fight him again, you could always challenge him at the Maiami Championships," Yuzu suggested.
"The tournament you all were talking about? Don't you need a 60% win rate and 50 duels in total this year to enter? I've only dueled twice."
"Yeah, but there's also another condition where one just needs to win six duels in a row," Yuzu informed, "Yuya's already already got four wins under his belt, and is going for his fifth one today."
"Wait, so wouldn't that mean that I have two wins already?" Yuuji asked.
"Yeah, it'll say it on your duel disk," Yuzu answered as she went and grabbed Yuuji's duel disk for him for his countertop. "All you have to do is check your official record."
Yuuji did just that, pulling up his duel disk. When he pulled up his W/L Record, the data came out like so:
Total Duels: 2
Wins: 2 (Win streak of 2, 4 more to qualify for the Maiami Championships)
Losses: 0
Win Rate: N/A (Too few duels to calculate)
*Not qualified for the Maiami Championships*
"When are the championships?"
"In five days."
Yuuji frowned, "How am I supposed to find four more duels in those three days?"
"You could do what Sora is doing. He's been going around joining tournaments and other dueling events," Yuzu suggested, "You're skilled, so you should be able to easily defeat anybody you would find there. There would also be a lot more events now since the tournament is so close. Those should give you chance to get your four wins."
"Then that's what I'll do." Yuuji slowly stands up, filled with determination, finally managing to stay on his feet. Though, it still hurt like hell for him to stand up. "...After I get this all sorted out."
Elsewhere…
In an abandoned district of Maiami City, a tall, dark-teal-haired man, wearing a red mask over his mouth was locked in a duel against three LDS personnel. On their side were five intimidating monsters.
[Mega Knight Prowler (Earth/Machine/Fusion/Effect/ATK: 3000/DEF: 2000/LV: 10)]
[Ultimate Mega Knight Driller (Earth/Machine/Fusion/Effect/ATK: 4000/DEF: 3000/LV: 12)]
[Revolver, the Sharpshooting Robotic Cowboy (Dark/Cyborg/Fusion/Effect/ATK: 2800/DEF: 1000/LV: 8)]
[Sea Swarm Leviathan (Water/Sea-Serpent/Ritual/Effect/ATK: 2800/DEF: 1600/LV: 8)]
[Deep Sea Lancer (Water/Warrior/Fusion/Effect/ATK: 2700/DEF: 2500/LV: 9)]
The masked duelist they were facing had three, green mechanical birds on his field.
[Raidraptor — Vanishing Lanius (Dark/Winged-Beast/Effect/ATK: 1300/DEF: 1600/LV: 4)]

"We have you surrounded," LDS 1 stated, "Surrender now, and we'll take you in peacefully."
"You think you've won, scum?" The Mysterious Duelist sneered. "With my three Raidraptor — Vanishing Lanius, I build the overlay network!"
[What!?] The three personnel say in unison as the three mechanical birds transform into energy and are sucked into a black vortex. A beam of light erupts from the vortex, the ground begins to shake.
"Obscured falcon." He chanted. "Raise your sharpened talons in front of adversity; spread your wings of rebellion! Xyz Summon! Appear, Rank 4! Raidraptor - Rise Falcon (Dark/Winged-Beast/Xyz/Effect/ATK: 100/DEF: 2000/R: 4/OU: 3)!"
Bursting out of the vortex was a mechanical falcon with a body coated in blue and silver. The falcon let out a loud shriek, causing the three LDS personnel to cover their pained ears. Surrounding it were 3 purple Overlay Units.
"What's that going to do?" LDS 2 scoffed. "It only has 100 ATK. There's no way that thing can do anything against our monsters!"
"You think…" A dark expression formed on the Mysterious Duelist's face as he lowered his red mask. "Why don't we put that to the test then, scum."
The Mysterious Duelist swayed his hand forward.
"I detach one overlay unit from Rise Falcon to activate its effect!" He declared. "It gains ATK points equal to the combined attack of all Special Summoned Monsters my opponents controls!"
[WHAT!?] All three LDS personnel exclaimed.
Raidraptor — Rise Falcon flies into the air, erupting into flames as it powers up.
(Rise Flacon — ATK: 100 + 2700 + 2800 + 2800 + 3000 + 4000 = 15400)
"N-no way!?" LDS 3 took a step back.
"It's only one monster, he can't wipe out all of us with it!" LDS 1 reassured his teammate.
"Yeah, you're right!" LDS 2 smirked. "We'll wipe him out on the next turn!"
"Raidraptor — Rise Falcon can attack all Special Summoned monsters!" The Mysterious Duelist declared, much to the shock of all of them. "Battle! Raidraptor — Rise Falcon, bring about the revolution I yearn for! Brave Claw Revolution!"
Rise Falcon's flames burned even brighter as it soared down to the LDS member's field…
—BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!
…It crashed down into them, creating a large explosion that annihilated their monsters and sent the LDS personnel flying.

Winner: Mysterious Duelist
The Mysterious Duelist dusted off his cloak before approaching the three LDS personnel who lay on the ground near unconscious. He then pointed his duel disk towards them.
"Join the rest of your fellow sinners in hell, Academia," He said before pressing a button on his duel disk, which then emitted a blinding purple light. Screams could be heard from the LDS men. Once the light died down, the screams disappeared; all that was left were three cards, each with the faces of the LDS personnel on them.
The Mysterious Duelist turned away, leaving the cards there as he began walking off, "On to the next."

And that's the end of the second chapter, I'm surprised that I was able to get this out fast since I really struggled to push through the starting part of the chapter that led up to the duel. Everything else was easy and fun to write which I'm happy about. I chose Yuuji to duel Hokuto mainly because I felt like it would be easier for me to write as opposed to a duel with Reiji (yeah, I'm lazy). I also don't want Yuuji to duel Reiji just yet, it would be better if he had a little more experience before he had a full-on duel with the man.
As for the next chapter, that definitely won't be out for a while. It'll feature quite a bit, including some of Yuuji's required duels for the Championship along with other story bits. I predict that there will be two or three more chapters before the tournament if things go well. If you guys have any suggestions for the story, feel free to write a review about it. I'm open to any feedback.
If the next chapter is out when you're reading this, keep reading. Getting this far means that you're interested in reading this fic. If you don't like it, you can always just not read it. I can't appeal to everyone and I'm honestly just doing this for fun since I loved the concept of Arc-V.
The next chapter will definitely be bigger than this one, so I'm going to go rest or something. Bye!
