I don't own True Blood

Sorry for any typos

AN: It's been a long time but I really wanted to update and apologize–it's a short chapter but I would like to get use to writing again and I need deep conversations between Godric and Kanin. I need Kanin to catch and ground Godric when his maker can't always be strong.

KANIN

Entry 3650

This evening, I have greatly embarrassed the one who created me. While it is disheartening that immortals cannot experience the same level of shame as mortals, our relationship was utterly transparent. Godric embarrassed and stuffed full of cock was a delicious spectacle.

I confess that I was still irritated by the fact that my creator had emerged victorious in our previous game, causing me embarrassment in the presence of my siblings. Therefore, at the beginning of the evening, I suggested engaging in sex with him on the foyer table, adjacent to the wall.

He eagerly accepted. His obsession with me granted me numerous advantages that my siblings were unable to obtain. Without his knowledge, I had invited my new romantic partner to my temporary dwelling and had already allowed her to enter without the need for her to knock.

The scheme worked better than I expected, Vera infiltrated the sitting room, expelling a shocked gasp, and Godric tensed gloriously around me, locking eyes with her. With his upper back pressed firmly against the wall, and body hanging halfway off the table, he was a beguiling sight. Fortunately, his orgasm was near, else he would have been standing up and prepared before she completely entered through the double doors.

He was so traumatized by the extreme shame that he trembled as I conquered him.

Vera's age is almost eight hundred, which grants her significant influence. As her lover, I have some advantages. Her authority stretches far, and going forth, she had blackmailed my maker by accepting my invitation. The power that she would effortlessly bestow onto me. I had her in the palm of my hand, and in doing so, I had him ensnared further.

I bit him on his neck as a display of dominance to Vera. He is enraged, and I am confident that he will repay me for this.

I refuse to form a bond with him. Godric is my maker, but he isn't my equal. He harbors apprehension that I will depart once more and never come back. It is intriguing how readily he succumbs to the fear of being deserted and neglected.

Should I forsake him?

With a sharp exhale, Kanin closed the journal. What the fuck? He shook his head as he reflected on the vile entry. How could Issac be so cruel? If Godric did that to him, humiliated him in front of a stranger for sick entertainment. It would be too much, an unforgivable betrayal. Godric must have felt profound anguish to be manipulated for Isaac's malevolent agenda.

The longing to wrap his maker in his arms made Kanin chuckle with frustration as tears built. Gazing up at the aurora sky, he leaned back against the armrest of the rattan sofa. Imagining his maker's anguish made him wince painfully.

The front door opened.

"Kanin? What's wrong? I feel your grief. I told you not to go outside by yourself, did I not?" Concern and disapproval were evident in the ancient's tone.

Uh-oh.

He was in trouble, again, not that he cared at the moment. Godric was so much more important. Kanin observed his creator with a quick sideways look as the elder closed the door.

While his small creator made his way to his seat, he noticed sea-green eyes shifting to study him. Kanin waited, unbreathing as Godric neared before reaching out with a pale hand to caress his features, brushing his tears across his cheekbone, painting pale features with crimson.

An astonished laugh tore from Kanin's throat, startling Godric before the younger reached to seize the ancient by the waist.

He didn't anticipate it would be so easy to manhandle his maker, expected the elder would pull away in alarm, yet Godric's only response was a surprised grunt. Kanin effortlessly hoisted and pulled him into a firm embrace.

Kanin took immediate action after pulling his maker against him. Without delay, he leaned down to shower Godric's attractive face with several kisses, while using his hands to gently rub Godric's waist and hips beneath the elder's thin, dark shirt.

"Are you trying to maneuver out of the sticky situation you are in, my lovely boy?" Godric playfully teased, a mischievous smile forming on his face as he received a shower of affection. Kanin shook his head between kisses, denying the accusation. "I absolutely adore you." He replied between the numerous kisses he gifted his maker.

"Tell me." Kanin muttered as he pushed the journal into Godric's left hand. "Tell you what?" Godric inquired, cocking his head to look at the journal in bewilderment, before the emotions on his face twisted into anguish.

Below his creator, Kanin reached for the journal and turned the pages until he found the entry. "Explain this." He gestured toward the cursive ink and watched with increasing sadness as sea-green eyes read the words until Godric's face appeared to pale further.

"What do you require an explanation of?" After a long pause, Godric inquired hollowly. His pained expression revealed an old, scarred wound that the younger immortal could easily recognize. Betrayal.

"What happened after?"

As the elder considered Kanin's question, emotional sea-green eyes lifted to scan his features briefly before lowering.

"Afterward, I—" The elder's words faded as he lost himself in a hidden memory. After a moment, Godric raised his gaze to look profoundly and intensely at a Kanin.

"I sought retribution but received heartbreak."

The younger immortal's face twisted into grief and rage as his maker looked up at the aurora borealis above and for the first time since they've met, revealed secrets and emotions to Kanin from full lips. Godric kept nothing hidden and freely revealed himself to the younger vampire with a gentle ease.

Kanin leant into his maker, offering any comfort as the memory was recounted in great detail and with distant, faraway eyes.

Fury. The ancient seethed inside, a raging storm that threatened to unleash and flood the surrounding area, and the taste of the negative emotion remained bitter on his tongue. He maintained his composure, holding back his rage to avoid breaking the heavy door off its hinges. Godric infiltrated the lavish bedroom, hardened eyes immediately locating the form of his secondborn seated in an armchair. Tentative silence lingered as a warm breeze drifted in through the open windows into the dark bedroom.

"Maker." A cold greeting, more appropriate for adversaries.

Fury tinted his vision scarlet, and he found himself bending over his impertinent offspring, his fingers viciously pulling back dark hair. Issac let out a yelp, but then his gray, gray eyes met his. "What did I do to merit this level of disregard?" Godric growled angrily, tugging at the black hair until Isaac finally let out a hurt cry.

"Forgive me." The elder let out a furious laugh as Isaac hissed between tightly closed teeth. "Forgive you?" Godric jeered, "I have no mercy to give. Did you determine my humiliation would quell your punishment?"

Godric voiced his disapproval, his eyes narrowing, his hands gripping the black threads even more firmly. Pale lips parted after a brief moment of analysis from slanted gray eyes. Isaac's adam's apple moved as the younger slowed his breathing unnecessarily before his features shifted, revealing his false innocence. Twisted features that hardened and became cold.

"I assumed you enjoyed Vera's company?" a ruthless smile spread across emotionless features.

Godric released his secondborn's hair with a disgusted hiss before turning away, avoiding the quicksilver gaze of the younger.

"I endure Vera and her endless acclaims of the false god, Lilith."

"You're only upset because I fuck her too," Issac replied venomously. Godric clenched his jaw, mentally asking the old gods for strength to overcome the jealousy and betrayal clouding his vision.

"You humiliated me in front of another ancient tonight." The elder snarled, spine tense and muscles coiled. He turned narrowed eyes to his secondborn when Issac stood to his feet casually.

"I wonder?" Issac hissed maliciously. "Is it the fact that I fuck her? Or is it because she watched me conquer you?"

Isaac's inquiries were a devastating blow. A knife peeling back flesh and muscle, aimed for his heart. Godric blew out a pitiful noise. "Is that what you did? Defeat me?" Encountering quicksilver eyes, Godric remained motionless. "The word implies the same meaning, Issac."

His secondborn sent him a vicious look, "Every time you spread your legs, maker."

"You make me bleed." Godric couldn't fight back the loathed tears. "Is it because I asked you to bond with me?"

"No," Issac breathed, appearing pleasant once more. Godric remained unbreathing as his progeny neared him. His secondborn cupped his face, using his thumbs to wipe at the tears that broke free.

Issac crowded closer, placing an innocent kiss on his lips before, "I will never bond with you."

Needless air was knocked out of his lungs, breath stuttering as Issac's answer flayed him open. He couldn't fight the eruption of tears or the uncontrollable trembling. Couldn't protest against the arms fastening around him or the soothing murmurs beside his ear as a startled sob tore from his throat.

He was entirely unprepared for Issac's reply and certainly didn't desire an explanation but Issac offered one.

"Oh, my sweet maker. I do love you so." Issac muttered, stroking his fingers through the back of Godric's hair. "But I can't offer you a bond. I don't want to be caged, I cannot."

"I won't cage you. I swear." Godric vowed into the shoulder of his progeny as his fingers dug into the younger's sides.

"Perhaps in another life..." Issac nuzzled their features together as the desire to fight swept out of the elder's form.

The taste of defeat lingered on his tongue as the cavity housing his heart throbbed.

When Godric finished recounted the memory of betrayal, they remained motionless, remaining still in building silence as Kanin processed the information his maker gifted him.

Quicksilver eyes scanned his maker's relaxed features and dry eyes, but Godric's tight jaw and tightening lips betrayed sadness.

"Why would he do that to you?" Godric gave a typical shrug of his shoulders as Kanin whispered his question, his mind racing.

"I believe he was seeking retribution for making him look foolish in front of Eric and Nora. He was never content with me having authority over him as his maker." Godric gave a brief explanation.

"What did he do?" Kanin leaned in closer, nuzzling into his maker's jawline with a rumbling purr, prompting the elder to reciprocate with an answering rumble.

"Isaac encountered both allies and foes in the vampire community. The thin veneer of vampire instincts conceals a world of secrets and politics and we protect our secrets jealousy...secrets are weaknesses, Kanin."

Godric's hand reached up and brushed Kanin's cheekbone before cupping the side of his face with a comforting palm.

"Nora was still naive when Isaac brought her into this dangerous world. Into that vampire nest!" Godric's hissed, eyes darkening. "And by doing this, he inadvertently brought my only daughter dangerously close to the true death."

"He almost killed her?" Kanin's eyes widened as fear surged into his throat. "What's a vampire nest?"

"Almost," Godric responded with a dark tone and shadowed features. "And I took his fangs for it —A vampire nest is a dangerous and harsh place where many vampires live together, devolving into barbaric creatures and fighting over human pets. They are never clan-related. Never family. Mostly rivals and adversaries coexisting at all times in a tight space."

Before nuzzling into his maker's palm, Kanin reached up and covered Godric's hand that still held the side of his face with his own.

"You disciplined him in front of our clan, and he humiliated you in front of an outsider?"

Darkened sea-green eyes responded with soundless sorrow.

"Have you ever disciplined him in public?" With hesitation, Kanin whispered while Godric gazed at him with gloom etched into his expression.

"Never." The elder lowered his gaze, staring blankly at their legs. Sympathy clenched at Kanin's un-beating heart from the expression his maker wore before fury pursued.

"He betrayed you!" The younger immortal spat with growing venom, pressing his features aggressively into Godric's palm.

"He's your brother, little rabbit." Godric responded, then withdrew his arm and placed it in his lap to rest alongside the other.

Outraged, Kanin sprang forward, his fingers digging into his maker's face as he reached and grasped his jaw. He was leaning over Godric until they were so close, their noses almost brushing against one another, and he was hissing with barred fangs and furious features, watching sea-green eyes stare up at him with astonishment.

"What he did to you was abhorrent, even if you would have publicly disciplined him by removing his fangs. If I fucked up that bad, I would expect you to take mine, public or not, because you're my maker, and I'd never want strangers to see you falter and perceive you as weak! You mentioned that the vampire world is vicious, and I understand that you have to commit certain acts to keep us protected—Issac had no right to use your love and vulnerability to hurt you!"

Godric was stunned, his eyes wide, his lips parted.

Softening, Kanin cupped his maker's face between his palms and ran his fingers over his cheekbones and jaw.

"There would not be any forgiveness if you had betrayed me in the same way Isaac betrayed you. Not for that."

When quicksilver eyes observed the elder's features twist into a profound, anguished love, he released his maker's face and slipped his arms beneath Godric's, embracing him tightly and drawing the other immortal flush against him.

His maker trembled in his arms but reacted immediately, strong arms wrapping securely around him in return, and Kanin hummed with tender appreciation at the sensation of Godric's body pressing against his, grounding him in place, and pacifying his chaotic emotions without effort before Kanin plummeted into a frenzy of rage and bloodlust.

In the sanctuary of Godric's arms, Kanin expelled a deep, masculine purr and concealed his features into his maker's shoulder, breathing in his scent deeply.

"I love you, maker."

Beside his ear, Godric expelled a noise that sounded almost like a sob, and then laughed breathlessly.

"I love you, beautiful boy."

I loathe you, Issac.
