Chapter six
New Jersey, Safehouse, 2003
By the time they get back her packages are here and the guards help her load everything into the house. She thanks them but she is only concerned about two things. The paternity test results and her mother's journal. She takes a deep breath as she changes into more comfortable clothing and sees herself in the mirror and cannot believe it. The doctor was able to tell her what she was having and even felt them kicking her. " Hello my two little princes and princesses mommy made a mess of things, has she? I promise I will be the best mommy I can be and it is time to find out who your father is. I really hope you all belong to Jason. Tell you to stop stalling and find out." She opened the envelope and it was believed to be. She knew deep down it would be Jason and knew she had to break his heart. She burns the results and says " I am so sorry I hope one day you all can forgive me if you ever find out the truth." She opted against giving Stan any information because if what Steven says is true she has to protect her children and their father. She opens her mother's journal and begins to read. She gets lost in the journal that she looks and sees Johnny and puts it to the side. "Hey there I figured you were hungry so here is your favorite and for dessert, I have those triple fudge brownies you love," Johnny says. Elizabeth says " Thank you Johnny for everything and it's okay you can ask. I can see you are dying to ask." Johnny says " So I hear that you are carrying three little webbers is that?" Elizabeth giggles and says " Is that your nice way of saying I am huge today when I was not the last time you saw me and it seems I grew overnight." Johnny nods. " It is fine I am getting used to the adjustment."
" I have a serious question for you and I need it to stay between us?" Elizabeth says. "Yes I will be the godfather to one of them and yes you can one after me." Elizabeth says " You are such a dork and I will take you being a godfather under advisement. My real question is your loyalty to my safety or Jason's since he asked you to guard me." Johnny ponders and asks " What is the real question you are asking me?" Elizabeth says " I mean what if I needed you to do something that would protect me and my children physically and Jason as well but it could hurt him emotionally." Johnny says " Now I am concerned about what is going on?" Elizabeth says " Let's be realistic here Johnny Jason is married to Courtney and he chose her and she is carrying his child. He has fought for her in a way he has never fought for me and I have to make peace with that because I am partially to blame for how he has treated me. He wants to be the father regardless of DNA but we both know that is because he knows Ric is an evil bastard that used me and he doesn't want me to have to deal with that. I can even appreciate it but it would not be his responsibility. His loyalty should be to his family and I have never been to his family. It is why we never worked out and why we were so easily broken. I need him to let me go and in order to do that I have to disappear. I would rather you help me but my brother has government contacts and I would not use them if not necessary.
" You know who the father is, don't you? But it is more than that isn't it?" Johnny says. Elizabeth says " Yes I know who the father is which is why I must do this." Johnny says " If and that is a really big if I help I want the full truth as to why you really doing this. This would be putting my job on the line and potentially my life." Elizabeth says " Jason would not kill you, maybe kick your ass but I assure you I would kick his ass if he did that. Instead of telling you the truth I will show you the truth and you will understand why I have to leave." Johnny reads the journal and as he does that she calls Jason. " Morgan." Elizabeth says " Hey I am glad that you made it back safely." Jason changes his tone " Hey how was the appointment." She gulps and says " They had one of those 3D ultrasounds and it was so advanced that they were able to tell me what I was having?" Jason softly says " What are we having?" Elizabeth wants to cry but keeps it in and answers " Well actually it turns out it is two princes and a little princess." Jason says " We are having triplets?" Elizabeth says " Actually I wanted to talk to you about that." Before Jason could respond he hears Johnny in the background " What in the actual fucking underworld?" Elizabeth mutters fuck and says " Listen Jason I have to go and take care." She hangs up and he thinks wow three little ones. He rubs his face but thinks she hung rather fast and he needs to find out what is going on. He hops back onto his motorcycle and takes off into the night.
